I just came here yesterday for my birthday after wanting to try this cafe for years and it exceeded my expectations! The hostess and our waitress (Kate G.) were so warm, welcoming and attentive. Kate was the best server I have ever had, so kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and the menu options were great. The ambiance is unparalleled, with a beautiful interior dining space as well as the patio. We sat outside and then explored the homegoods and plants around the store. Such a unique establishment, we will definitely be returning. The only somewhat negative is the homegoods/plants are extremely expensive with many plants overpriced but given the location we expected that. I would not recommend buying plants here unless you are wealthy and do not care about the price gouging.

If there were a Michelin guide for cafés, this place would be on my list. The drive from New York is beautiful, and the space is filled with stunning tropical plants. While the food is just okay, the atmosphere and the weekend drive make it worth the trip.

Wandering through the Terrain Garden Center in Westport felt like stepping into a living fairytale 🌸🌿✨ Every corner of this beautifully curated space is a celebration of nature and design—lush blooms spilling from vintage pots, handcrafted decor that whispers of seasons past and present, and garden creations that blur the line between art and earth. From delicate florals to rustic lanterns and botanical treasures, it’s a place where inspiration grows wild. Their salads are vibrant, fresh, and bursting with unique flavor combinations that truly impress. Beyond the greens, the entire menu is thoughtfully crafted and consistently delicious. Overall the place is so pretty! If you’re a plant lover it’s a must. The shop inside has so many things. Our server John was so kind and helpful. Food service was quick. Food was great. However, the hostess stand was rude and unfriendly. I can tell on the phone her attitude was not very welcoming. I was telling her it was a birthday and she got bothered I tried stating that before she asked for any notes. Anyways, I understand we were 15 minutes late to our reservation I thought we’d be about 10 but when we got there, there was no parking so it took a bit longer and I called. Then and there she could’ve told me I would no longer be sat outside where I had requested. When I come inside a party of 2 is in front of us, the host ask, do you prefer outside or inside? They stated they had no preference. Charleen knew i was standing right there with my party of 3 (total). She directs us to a table inside. I ask if there is any seating outside. She tells me no, that I took too long. Understandable completely. But really?? I saw the seating outside my party wasn’t too big to not have that “last” table that she gave to the people in-front of us. The party who had NO PREFERENCE. I wanted say we would be willing to wait for an outside table but my aunt who’s birthday it was said she didn’t want to be a bother and since it wasn’t an option given to us to just leave it alone. The place is very pretty and the server was kind and attentive. But having your host be unfriendly who is your first point of contact throws it off. She didn’t sound welcoming on the phone and then wasn’t friendly or helping or seemed to care in person. Had to say something because it just ruined the experience.

As the owner of Rolling Suds Power Washing of Fairfield–Westchester, I’m always out and about in the area, and today I stopped into Terrain in Westport to find a gift for my girlfriend. I had an awesome experience from start to finish. Every staff member I spoke with was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely thoughtful. They gave great recommendations without being overbearing and really helped me find something meaningful. I ended up picking out a beautiful small vase and some pottery — both really well-made and within my price range. I’m so excited to give them to her. The store itself is gorgeous — a mix of greenery, home goods, and unique gifts that feels carefully curated. It’s a fantastic local shop, and whether you’re shopping for someone special or just browsing, Terrain in Westport is 100% worth a visit. Can’t recommend it enough.

The restaurant is fantastic, but the store itself is also incredibly beautiful with a large selection of gifts, colorful plants, outdoor furniture, soaps, and wonderful home and garden accessories.

To call this a really beautiful store is an understatement. TONS of variety, great quality items (you get what you pay for - most things aren’t inexpensive). A cool cafe in the middle of the place - which we will check out next time). Friendly staff and plenty of parking.
