I didn't do much research so didn't realize this restaurant is on top of the Mandarin Oriental. It has spectacular views from the downtown location.
However, I was quite disappointed with the food. I started with the traditional ceviche which was tasty. No complaints there. Not the best I've ever had, but still good.
Next I got the salad with octopus. This salad was very very dry and salty and seemed very prepared as opposed to fresh made. (I realize some items do need to be made ahead, but I got the impression this came out of a tube.)
Next I got the spicy yuca balls. They were tasty, but again seemed very prepared and generic. Not what I would have expected from a restaurant associated with this hotel. (Though I will admit I've never stayed with the hotel so maybe my expectations of them are wrong?)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. My waitress was very attentive without being overbearing and very helpful. The location is beautiful. Unfortunately I can't really recommend the food.
(Sorry, didn't get any photos of the balls.)
