Small and awkwardly designed space, but they make function. They have outdoor seating area. However, we were there to see a group perform. They have limited seating so we were stuck in the main floor looking at a screen while hearing them live above us. We had beer 🍺 and tapas. Cider chorizo and a cheese platter which for both I was pleasantly surprised they were delicious. The group tool pity on us and performed downstairs, this was my best part of the night! Will return, for beers and entertainment.

Beautiful bar with yummy food and fantastic drinks. The owner loves good music and did fit a grand piano, a vibraphone and a drums set on the terrazza. Can't wait to revisit!

The place is fun, the music and the groups that play every weekend are awesome, great selection! The reason I don’t give 5 stars is because they charge you 18% to 25% tip but still you have to order your drinks only at the bar. When I tried to order a drink to one of the servers, she sent me downstairs to the bar to order. I also mentioned my current cocktail seemed to not have enough liquor and same, she sent me downstairs. I didn’t want to go because didn’t want to miss the concert or my spot. So what’s the point of having servers and charge tip if you still have to go to get your things. Also I don’t think she had the best attitude. They could sell more if there were service while the musicians are playing. Pretty much all the concert thirsty 😅

Lively place. Great live music and bands. Great atmosphere. Only thing, and I can understand why, as it gets closer to closing time, a lot of the drinks get watered down. Again I can unswrstand why, but at least tell customers you will no longer be serving mixed or cocktails after a time, so we don't get charged full price for a glass of water, soda and a hint of liquor.

This place is awesome! They have live music, and the tapas and drinks are great.

The best place to come for karaoke and relieve some stress! Camila is the best hostess; she also sings and has an incredible voice! I totally recommend Thursday nights!!

This place is very cool. It has unique and cool vibes in a good way. The drinks are very affordable and has a lot of good choices. The staff is very professional, respectful and accommodating. This place is definitely a 5 stars for me, no doubt. I definitely recommend this place to anybody who just wants to have a good time.

Food was amazing and I LOVE the Iced Chocolate -- not too sweet and lighter than a milkshake. Really nice ambience. Very intimate inside and comfy outside. They usually have some live music too. Service was nice and pleasant.

Terraza 7 is a local business located between Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, with live music that varies every night, sometimes outside, sometimes on the second floor. The bar is small inside, but they have a great patio within summer and make a great attraction for nice drinks and a few bites while listening to live music. The staffs are super friendly, attentive, and careful to make sure that you are happy and have everything you need. The drinks and beer options are great. The food has a great tapas option to share, while you enjoy the live music the drinks but unfortunately will not recommend this place for dinner because there not a that big portion or heavy meal. Overall is a great place to have a nice beverage while listing to a live band.

The music is great. The drinks were done correctly. What more can I say? It's a bar with a cover charge to sit in front of the band.

I didn't have the food (see their menu online) because I had already eaten, but the ambiance is amazing! Just the coolest place with a mezzanine music venue - the accoustics are amazing and not blaring. We saw a hot hot hot Latin jazz combo with tap dancers including Max Pollack, who actually is one of six tap dancers who were honored with their own US Postal Service stamp!!! The first Sunday of the month from 6 to 8 (started and ended on time because there was another music group performing. A unique experience. It's an older building - I don't believe there is an elevator.

If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, you can't go wrong with Terazza 7. I have been coming here for the last 20 years, and although it has changed a bit, the essence has remained the same. Every time I come here I am amazed by the sheer talent of the musicians and bands that perform. From tango to flamenco to salsa to Afro-Colombian beats, you can find it all here! Terazza 7 also takes the experience to the next level with its decibel meter, projector and cultural events (including literature readings). It's a great way to learn and appreciate the local talent while having a great time. I can't think of a better way to spend an evening than to come here and soak in the atmosphere. In a world full of sameness, this place is a rare gem. It's one of the most special places in the city, and it's a place I hope never disappears. I can't think of a better place that offers such an eclectic and unique experience. Whether you're a music enthusiast or just looking for an evening of fun, this place is sure to leave you with a lasting impression.

Overpriced! Why are they charging so much to see shows in this economy? The staff is great but the prices need to come down! Also not pleasant walking around area.

It has a relaxed vibe. I heard you can make reservations in advance. I noticed it has live music. It has fun cool sounding drinks. I like the Cumbia Amazonica and the chocorevolucion (spelling?). It has good service. I like this spot for bringing out a large group. There is plenty of seating (outdoors).

For those in the know, Terraza 7 (or Terrace 7) is one of the coolest venues throughout the borough. Somewhat hidden from the bustle of Roosevelt Avenue, this is an easy choice to enjoy a drink or two, while listening to some of the best live music available in the borough. The music is an interesting variable, as I've heard everything from Latin blues to obscure jazz. There isn't always music playing, but catch the place at the right night and it's more often popping than not. It also helps that this place is open every night till 4am. From a layout perspective, the space is quite interesting. The bottom floor is where the bar is, along with limited seating and the only bathroom in the venue. Upstairs is where a band would play, along with some tight seating surrounding the set. It is a pretty sweet setup overall and despite people walking above, there isn't any dirt flying into people's drinks below. Usually if there is an act upstairs, a cover may be enforced. I really appreciate the bartenders, who aside from being Spanish speaking friendly, are committed to keeping the drinks nice and stiff. They do make a killer mojito and a variety of other Latin based drinks, but their Cumbía Amazónica (pisco, kiwi juice, bitters, rosemary) from their specialties menus is a $10 drink well spent. Their Tierra Prometida (tequila, pomegranate, mint) is also a personal favorite. They also take credit cards now, which was not always the case. I've been told that depending on the schedule, this place is also a spot for literary events, film screenings, and community discussions. I appreciate the creative use of their space and the progressive mindset that is behind the operation. My only complaint if any, is the fact this place is uncomfortably stuffy during the warm weather months and the bathroom could use a cleaning every so often. I'll still be coming back and am looking forward to their next big event!

This is my favorite late night place in Corona. No other place can I get live Jazz music for a $5 cover! The food is great and my partner loves it! Tip: come early to get a good seat and order some guacamole. You won't regret it.

If I can give this place no stars I would. We called a head there was no problem. We entered the host told us to wait. We were greeted by the manager who looked at us. And said he can seat us, without a reservation. The place was empty. We simply said okay. Until we read the guidelines. It was a race thing we were black and shorts in the summer aren't apart of the guidelines. They won't make it long in the tourist area.

I visited Terraza 7 during a layover in NYC. Needless to say, music was great. People are friendly. The highlight of my visit was definitely meeting friendly Latinos. Somehow, regardless of your ethnicity, they make you feel like you belong. Terraza 7 is a true testament to the diversity in New York!

They have fantastic drinks and nights with live music (check their schedule). Live music has a cover fee but is pretty reasonable. Even though the place looks small when you first walk in, there are stairs to an upstairs area with seating and a small stage for live music performances. The staff are nice and the crowd is fairly diverse. This is such a gem to have in Queens!

My poetic adventure finds me here at Terraza for "Jackson Heights Poetry Festival." This is not a cafe per se as it is a bar lounge for live music and poetic performances dive-y ish appeal for jam sessions of emerging artists. There is no food served here, thus I advise patrons/ music spectators to eat something before arriving here. Here lies a small suspended midair metal stage in a loft style on the upper level which depicts an illusion to be disillusion. It was rattling while I walked to the microphone and its crate floor base is surely intimidating as it does not feel secure. Yet Terraza houses good acoustic with a clear audible microphone without the annoyance of an echo for voice lag when propped on the microphone stand. Seating for spectators is three tier wooden bleachers of a high school gym and only one exit/entrance to this upper loft. The exit/entrance is a very narrow ill-advise configuration. On the lower level sits the bar and the bar tender is attentive to serving patrons with my Seltzer water at an utter dismay of $3.00. I believe there is Happy Hour available. There is one unisex facility which houses an eye sore male urinal and a pipe expose faucet with a broken hot left knob. The cold right knob is functioning but oblivious how to turn it on.

Truly a hidden gem, and perhaps the best way end to end an evening eating out in Jackson Heights. Tucked away on a small side street off of Roosevelt, Terraza 7 offers a cozy second-story loft with a reasonable cover charge for live music. The scene is vibrant, and the vibe and surrounding neighborhood make the Modelo on draft feel like the right choice here. I hope to return to take in more Latin jazz funk while perhaps sampling one of the inventive, fruity cocktails they have listed on their menu.

Jackson heights, my beautiful Jackson heights, where the diversity of all Latin-American people mostly reside. A special place with funky/unusual and fun amazing music. Its like being backstage on a pirate radio ship. You get to sit in the gantry! South American influence ,jazz and eclectic music, reggae, cumbia, salsa!!! They got it all!!! Amazing performances.

Great place to enjoy live, spanish music. Went with a close friend during the middle of covid, and it was crowded. Get there early to get a table.

"Terraza 7" is a bar and lounge. It definitely is different then any place I've been to before. The front door alone is beautiful. Nice wood and equally impressive color scheme. Walking in I noticed this place has two levels. It also had a live band playing so I thought that was a plus. The place didn't feel modern, but I guess that's what they were going for. I decided to goto the second floor and check out the band up close. I was immediately stopped by a woman, who was rude by the way and she wanted to charge me $12 to be on the second level. I told her no thanks and retreated back to the lower level. That almost made me want to leave, but the music and people made it hard. Plus the beautiful women inside. I hung around and was impressed with the selection of libations they offered. I'm not a drinker, but you can see they definitely had what people wanted. I sat at a tall boy table and enjoyed the music with my friend. No one was really dancing. But I had fun with some local patrons before heading out. I would come again, but bring more people because mostly everyone who came were in groups. It's definitely worth another visit. Who knows maybe next time I might fork over $12 to sit like a king on the second floor.

I am highly disappointed by this establishment. After reading the reviews I was excited to check this place out. I arrived with a group of friends, only to be approached by a rude female bartender. However, I did not let that ruin my night. After 30 minutes of waiting for our order, I asked how much longer it would be for the empanadas (which the bartender made sure to let me know were pre-packaged btw) and she informed she had not put in the order because she was not sure I actually wanted the empanadas. After letting her know that yes I wanted the order she started screaming at me franticly telling me it was my fault she had not placed the order before. I have never experienced such bad customer service before. The other two gentlemen who were behind the counter were kind enough to apologize for the situation. I will not be returning to this venue.

Can't believe I've just now discovered this place after living in queens for over a decade. Live music as I was informed by one of the bartenders begins at 10:00pm with a second set beginning 15 minutes after the first set concludes. By 1:00am the band stops playing but the music continues. Stepping in here is like being transported to a Latin county, the vibe is festive friendly and relaxed. I tried the coconut mojito and WOW was it perfectly strong and sweet. Cannot wait to revisit.

been coming here for 10 years. kept it a secret, and the vibe is just that compared to nearby establishments, but over the past few years the word has gotten out so expect a crowd especially weekends. very different crowd here from what you'd see over at northern blvd too. awesome music, awesome drinks, awesome environment, awesome people, and awesome bar service. ricky and paolo have been there quite some time and provide excellent service. also, THEE spot, for world music. if queens represents the worlds boro... terraza is the analogous musical manifestation

Thank you yelp for taking me here. I was on my way to Las Margaritas when I decided to look on yelp and see if I can try something new. BANG! I saw Terraza. My boyfriend and I decided to detour and head here. Aren't we glad we did. As I walked out of my car and made our way over, we can here the wonderful sounds of jazz all the way down the block. I walked in and I felt as if I were somewhere in the Village. I definitely didn't feel I was in Jackson Heights anymore. I grabbed a "Coconut mojito" it was so good, and headed upstairs. They have a cover charge of $7 if you sit upstairs but it is and was Totally worth it. My BF was so excited since he is into music and his eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. The wonderful sounds I heard were from Benito Gonzalez who is a an amazing pianist and his Bass and drum players were just out of this world. They won't be returning till June :/ You can feel The passion that poured out of their bodies. Very cool spot and I definitely will be returning.

Hidden gem in this neighborhood. My wife and I got here after a live performance one night I was disappointed we missed it because the crowd was still there and they looked like they just finished having a good time. Never the less we went in to this (two level amazingly decorated with Colombian culture) bar which played amazing music to keep you dancing a long with serving up some great cocktails. We will surely be back to catch a live performance.

Don't see the hype in this place. I've been here once in the summer but will not return. First of all it was at least 80 degrees and there was no AC! Second they need to tune up their prices, who pays $10 for house liqour cocktails in Jackson Heights? This isn't midtown. I understand it's a relatively nicer venue in the area but meh. Rather go to Ready Penny in the area it's cheaper, less packed, and have proper air conditioning.

The staff is amazing the drinks are great. My only complaint is that it attracts an awful crowd(hipsters). If you are okay to meet all the white people that build houses in Oaxaca and call you compa, you will 5 star this place. I also dont care for jazz or music with bongos, if you like those things you will 5 star this place.

Fantastic bar for so many reasons...I had amazing service, drinks garnished with orchids and the MUSIC was fabulous. Was a Moroccan musician named, "Brahim Frigbane ". He seemed to have a pick up band with a fantastic Indian violinist and the pianist was brilliant. We were only planning to have one drink but the music, drinks and bartender, Ricky were are spot on so we stayed well past the witching hour!:) I haven't discovered a place like this in years in NYC. Genuine top to bottom, in all the best ways. Thank you!!

Fink learned about this place a while ago, but tonight, while I was starving for halal, Fink decides to come here for a drink for some Tuesday night celebrations. When we arrived in front of the place, I was hesitant...Don't be. I was shoved in and welcomed by a cool bartender. The music was to my liking, chill yet nothing short of interesting. Same goes for the decor. One second you're in south america chillin out in a tiny bar, next minute you feel the NY vibe with some Led Zepplin. And as for the drinks? Well, let's just say - 2 hours later with no intention of hanging out, Fink and I are having a great time..try the coconut mojito or the peach sangria...you can thank us later. Really glad I found this place through Yelp. Such a great place in Jackson Heights to hang out, enjoy great music, and have drinks. Love the playlist they put on after the live band left. Only wish I had found this place earlier. The bartender was really cool and offered me other options when he ran out of an ingredient that he needed for a drink I had ordered. The drink he gave me ended up being delicious. Definitely going to return.

It's one of the few, if only, art and music lounge in our area. It's decor and atmosphere is rustic and adds to its character. It's character is represented in their own creation of cocktails and the diverse forms of art show cased. From documentaries with follow up Q&A with its director to jazz to underground bands. It really addresses the need of art and music exploration and appreciation in our area. Here is hoping that the owner will reopen soon at a nearby location as it has been said that their lease is up and 12/31/16 is their last day. Please come back soon. If you haven't gone, go now! Very relaxed attitudes and attire.The cover charge for special performances upstairs is worth it. We saw dreadlockstory.com and then music from Jarana Beat.

Terraza means a lot to many different people in the neighborhood and across Queens. Yes you will find amazing performances here (mostly of spanish speaking cultures or jazz influenced, with the occasional oddball in the mix like a poetry reading), and the mixed drinks are fantastic, even if a little pricey for the area (get the pisco drink with kiwi, i forget what it's called but it's delicious), and the upstairs performance area is magically intimate, with a few inches of danceable space that the more outgoing will undoubtedly crowd themselves onto, never mind the occasional bump. Beyond all of this, terraza has an amazing community behind it, and patrons who will defend it against any threat, out of love. That is so rare today. There is an organic mix of intellects, activists, working class, parents and grandparents, just turned 21 year olds, and people of any culture that is so undeniably jackson heights. This place is fun, but fun for the sake of togetherness and for the purpose of uplifting each other - the fun we need more than ever.

Love this place ! Delicious drinks, warm atmosphere, everyone is super polite. Clean & fun! They play live music Thursday-Sunday. Every day is different however like Sunday's they play jazz. Cozy little crack in the wall but definitely worth the time spent.

This place has some great music but I wish they had a happy hour for the after work crowd. There aren't many options for this in Jackson Heights and Terraza would be perfect.

REALLY liked the ambiance and decor. Especially the skeletons and Dia de Los Muertos kitsch. However, the drinks left me wanting more... mixes and simple syrup in their 'Ritas. When we asked for fresh lime juice, etc... they said "only mixes"... At spots like this one, I'm all about the traditional, clean, unadulterated 'Rita. I had a good time with my colleagues, but don't plan to return unless there is some sort of amazing music or event.

My first time at Terraza 7 and I had a blast obviously I went with Family so its always a great time!!! My brother has gone their before so he suggested to go! I tried the COCONUT MOJITO and I loved it! So if any one goes there the Coconut Mojito is a must! You taste the coconut milk with a splash of liquor and mint. Its not to strong not to soft... Its just perfect! The ambiance is pretty loud because of the live band who are callled Chota Madre which their excellent! Very cozy and dark place to be I'll definitely go back again!

Terraza 7 Train is a laid-back boho bar, just south of Roosevelt Ave, under the ever-atmospheric 7 Train tracks. While the clientele is largely Hispanic, the vibe is welcoming to all types of people. The pictures of Che Guevara and the funky décor give it a renegade character, while the artsy types who flock here (many Spanish speakers) transport a newcomer to a scene that is probably more akin to a trendy café/bar in Mexico City or Buenos Aires than an otherwise gritty part of Queens. Is Terraza the best bar to strike a chord with the artsy crowd east of Queens Plaza? Probably. Is it worth the trip from Manhattan or the other Boroughs? Depends on your level of adventure. What Terraza remains is a nice and friendly safe-haven in an otherwise chaotic stretch of peso bars and gay/strip nightclubs on Roosevelt Ave. If you are lucky, try to come on one of the nights where Terraza is featuring live music. Just don't sit too close to the stage (which is elevated on the rafters above the main bar). The place gets pretty loud - so loud that it even drowns out the rumbling of the near-by 7 Train. Quite an accomplishment! Added benefit: Terraza is literally on the same block as the mind-blowing Jackson Heights taco truck, Tacos Guicho. Combine the two for an amazing night out in the Boroughs.

If you're in NY for a stay-cation as I am this spring break, and want the feeling of having journeyed to another country -- or another reality altogether--- look no further than the Terraza Cafe. Just off Roosevelt Avenue (but not on it -- apparently, this part is key to its vibe) is a place my handsome date described as Bohemian Latin. - Uh, just what does THAT mean? I asked, imagining some misguided outfits I wore to my 7th grade Latin class. - You'll see, he promised. Five minutes later, I was ensconced in a hammock overlooking a rustic loft-like space that could best be described as Terry Gilliam meets my uncle's recent "Tropical Delusion" party out in Jersey. The crowd, largely Latino (and theoretically -- from what I'm reading on their website -- "bohemian" and "eclectic") were doing their best to chill out. N.B. - In Cafe Terraza terms, "chilling out" seems to mean taking momentary breaks from intense flirting to listen to bands (in our case, a group that reminded me pleasingly of the soundtrack to Friends.) In honor of my stay-cation, I requested a frozen pina colada -- the perfect dessert to our delicious dinner at Pio Pio (a short cab ride away) as well as the appropriately sweet ending to one heck of a second date. ps - If you're a hipster like me, steer clear of political discussions here, as ex-army/McCain folks abound. It'll sour and otherwise sweet time, and prevent you from singing God Bless (Bohemian Latino) America as you're recovering from that Pina Colada the morning after.

Love this bar/venue! Reminds me of Ann Arbor where I went to college. One of those really unique spaces with a really unique vibe that you grow to love and then daydream about when you move away. 1. Terraza = terrace. Which makes a whole lot of sense when you enter. Two-tiered drinking/entertainment experience here. Live music (mainly latino, brazilian, afrofunk) almost nightly, although to sit in the open balcony to view the band is 10$. On nights where there are no performances, you can sit there with your drinks and chill. Otherwise, the bar is cozy, the music can be heard clearly and the decor is eclectic enough to keep you entertained. 2. Cocktails and sangria. Good piscos here....I really liked the one with kiwi (think it was called the cumbia amazonica). All drinks are made by hand, so don't get miffed if it takes a little bit to receive your order. SANGRIA HERE IS AMAZING. Tastes almost like my mother's... and we all know there's nothing that tastes better than nostalgia. 3. Happy hour. 4-8 M-F. 5$ tap, 5$ sangria...pitchers are marked down, too. Good mix of people here (actually at all times). Definitely not the 2nd avenue still-wishes-they-were-at-their-frat/sorority-house scene. I digs. 4. Decent bottles of wine at decent prices. They are often out of the Verdejo and Tempranillo, but usually have Malbec and Cab. I think bottles are around 40$. Anyways enjoy! There's definitely no bar like this for a 3-mile radius (and if there is, please show me the way, I'll buy you a drink). Sometimes the man and I come here for a no-frills date night. Which usually gets us buzzed enough to justify Pollos Marios or the Taqueria Coatzingo location at 79th/Roosevelt. Siiigh. I love Queens.
