Terres de Café

As an Australian, I’m pretty picky when it comes to good coffee. We’re lucky to be surrounded by fantastic coffee shops back home, so I often find it challenging to find something that compares when we travel. Terres de Café in Paris, however, is one of the best specialty coffee shops I’ve visited in Paris! The service was fantastic, and they make an excellent flat white, espresso, and long black—perfectly crafted. We were fortunate to stay nearby, so we ended up visiting a few times during our stay. They also have a lovely retail section where you can purchase beans to take home, and a small selection of baked goods. Highly recommend this spot for any coffee lover visiting Paris!

The American customer is always right BS is just that, BS. I walked in asking for an Americano with a side of milk and he said “non.” The milk would spoil the flavour and if I wanted milk he suggested a cappuccino. He was right. Sometimes it is nice to surrender to the experts! And that they are in here! Great atmosphere, with hanging chairs and bright yellow seats and soft French music! ☕️

Great coffee and ambience. The employees were so nice and accommodating. The espresso is simply incredible. The coconut cookie I got was also light and flavorful.

You walk in and can tell they mean business with their coffee! Quality is great - my macchiato was nutty with hints of chocolate. The staff are very friendly, but the interior although a decent size seemed cramped. Hanging chairs, bar seats and small tables - there’s a variety of seating. Worth the visit.

Great cafe for a mid-afternoon break from exploring Paris, with one of the most delicious espressos in the city. Highly recommend the relaxed vibe and chairs suspended from the ceiling, if that’s your thing!

Okay atmosphere. Service depends on the person. Tight spacing. Coffee is very expensive. Menu is fixed with a “we can’t change anything” attitude. (Not even adding a drop of milk in the coffee — come on…) Overall, the experience was better at the original small Terre de Café on rue Rambuteau, which was still expensive back then. But now, it is a 5€ charge for a double “expresso” and mediocre overall experience. I won’t be preferring this place again, c’est dommage. edit: -1 general star for the corp-speak reply.

I’m writing this as I’m in the coffe shop on sunday 27th october at 12.10pm. Interesting option for a coffee in Paris, wide selection of coffee origins. The staff is incredibly nice and fast paced. Awesome knowledge about coffee. And they are so patient, which is quite weird these days. I’m saying this because customer was asking for a whole bottle of complimentary water to refill his cup. The girl at the front answered that she couldn’t give her a bottle but would be happy to refill at anytime. When the customer grabbed the bottle anyway and spilled it all over the counter where they have a lot of electronics. The customer was even making fun of the situation with her friend. Respect for the barista, I would’ve gone mad in a situation like this.

Excellent coffee. freshly roasted beans. the grand cru in particular was terrific. Pretty small selection of food/bites. The interior feels a lil crammed but nice vibes nonetheless. friendly staff!

Had to write a quick note on this place. It has fantastic coffee and is a cute little shop. There are a few location throughout Paris (We went tot the shop in St Germaine). It is tiny but well designed with a welcoming environment. Friendly and helpful staff. The oat latte was delicious. I forgot to grab a few bags of beans to go to enjoy at home. Now I am searching the internet to see if I can find some at a reasonable shipping option.

stopped by terres de café on a rainy afternoon for a pick me up before visiting the louvre. the cafe is small but has seating and a nice, quiet ambiance. small drinks menu with an assortment of cookies and baked goods. service was friendly. // cappucino (5.00) // i have not had many hot cappucinos (i usually drink iced lattes) but it was nice. not bitter, and a good coffee flavor. it was not very hot, a little on the cold side honestly, but it was still good. they have non dairy milks but unfortunately charge 1 euro.

This Terres de Café location is very comfortable and cozy, and definitely a nice place to get some coffee if you're in the Le Marais area. I stopped by around 1:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon in December 2019, and it was pretty busy, although I was able to snag a table towards the back of the café, right in front of the restrooms. The seating by the windows, in the front of the coffeeshop, definitely seems more comfortable as the chairs elsewhere in the shop are hard and backless, but I feel like you get a better view of the space from the back of the shop than the front. The menu is pretty small, but they seem to concentrate on doing a few things well, and plus they have a different daily coffee too. I got the cappuccino (4,50€; a bit steep but pretty much the price of any coffee-with-milk drink in Paris), and when it came out a few minutes later, it was a good-sized drink with beautiful latte art. The cappuccino was well made and enjoyable. The shop itself is definitely a great place to meet with friends or even get some reading done; although it was busy, the noise level was not bad at all, and they didn't seem to play their music very loudly either. The staff are friendly and efficient. The shop is conveniently located, a little ways off from the busiest streets of Le Marais, but still pretty close by. I came here via the Saint-Paul metro (line 1), and it was a fairly short walk to get here, probably 10 minutes or so. If you want to stop for coffee at a cozy place in Le Marais, this is definitely a solid option, although keep in mind it gets pretty busy and it can be hard to find a free spot if you arrive during peak times.

So fucking rude staff the white guy and the rude other barista with red tiger TATTO on her right hand plus the one on the coffee machine ( considered as barista which should work at Nespresso store better for her ) we've requested cortado and they've yelled on us we don't make cortado then we've requested flat white Surprisingly SHE HANDLED US cappuccino !!! I've asked the guy and both stupid ladies are you kidding me ! At least as a speciality coffee where's the latte art ! And packed with foam ! They were laughing so hard what you're asking for latte art !! Then I replied to the guy YES As I'm a BARISTA I know what I'm asking for he was ok ok where do you work ! then I've replied to him as an honor of coffee shop and barista again I know what I've asked for. Then all of them yelled on us to me and my sister IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DON'T COME AGAIN !!! In front everyone. The same my sister have experienced bad attitude with the girls past week. Just FYI we were there at 5:55 pm in case you want to check who was on duty. I've been always a loyal customer to the other branches too but like those 3 awful employees we've never seen.

I visited the Cafe in mid February during a recent trip to Paris. Joachim, the head Barista takes his craft seriously and was very enjoyable to talk to. His beans are specially selected and not suited to the 100 types of espresso drinks you get at SBux, so what you get here is one of the best Espressos, cappuccinos and cafe latte. Please don't as for ristretto or lungo. I'm sorry it took two months to post this, as we were there on a day they were filming a TV show and spent a long time there watching everyone. Also, one wish I have is that they add classic croissants to menu to go along with cakes and pound cake slices.

Coffee and service are very inconsistent. They use a different coffee for their espresso everyday, so the taste can vary widely. It is sometimes sweet and balanced but sometimes very sour and raspy. I usually ask with milk on the side to adjust for soureness/sweetness as needed and they are usually quite happy with serving that. Except this one guy who plainly and quite rudely refused to serve me milk on the side and asked me to either take an espresso or to take a machiatto. He then went on a bizarre rant on how they habe specific ratios for these that make a better coffee, anecdotally he said that they put less coffee grounds in the machiato which is very counterintuitive as it would make the coffee even weaker with less body. So basically, come here of you want to drink coffee the way the barista wants you to. Besides, the beans that they offer for sale are quite old, haven't found anything less than 2 weeks and up to 1 month old on that day!

One of the best coffees in Paris. Quality beans and high quality machines make the place unique. This place is a must on each of my Parisian trip.

Great little coffee shop on a quiet side street, far from tourists and filled with locals. The interior is tastefully decorated, warm and inviting. If you're traveling, you can purchase coffee beans or even better - Nespresso compatible pods which are excellent.

A breath of fresh air in Paris! Pierre the barista who served me was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and manned the bar alone with such grace and expertise. I tried a cappuccino and a Kenya on V60 and both were great. The space is welcoming and warm. An excellent experience!

Best coffee I have had i Paris! They really know what they are doing, and super high value for money as well. I recommend highly to all coffee lovers!

Best coffee I could find in Paris. Being from Sydney, Australia I'm used to most cafes having passable to fairly good coffee, and consequently been starved in Paris where the average coffee served is is frankly terrible. Terre de Cafe has been a lifesaver and frankly better than most in Sydney. If you need good coffee, make your way here asap.

Really nice coffee experience from a dedicated and warm team. They are genuinely interested in making the best coffee possibly. The interior is bright and cozy, newly renovated it seems. Lots of good coffee to buy and take home as well, and fair prices.

A great little cafe with different single origin coffees for black or milk coffees. Lots of coffee porn to look at too including their Slayer on the bench. There are lots of coffees and teas to take away, plus a small selection of pastries and cakes should that be your thing.

From far the best espresso in the center of Paris. The boutique is small but you ll get the largest choice of specialtycoffee in Town. Many ethiopians at the time but also Colombia, Costa Rica , Burundi, Kenya ...available by the Cup. Nice people one of my favorite place in Town.
