"Back in 2016, the Ponte space was a different restaurant (still under operator Stephane Bombet) called Terrine, with chef Kris Morningstar at the helm. Bombet also picked New Years Eve to quietly close the place and turn it into the Ponte, without announcing anything publicly beforehand." - Farley Elliott

Finally a new well run restaurant with everything one desires: Start with easy parking as that can be a challenge on Beverly Blvd. Here you simple drive in the rear and Valet parking is there. You can enter from the rear as well and you see the nice large indoor and outdoor dining room, which is available for private parties and well staffed the night we were there. Yes a bachelor party I think was roaring. The main dining area is cool with a view of the open Kitchen. As you are seated your first impression is really good as a warm friendly waiter appears to take drink orders. Later he returns and describes tonight's specials and answers questions of the menu: there are so many great choices and they change daily. Interesting is that many local chefs after they are done for the evening come in to drink and "snack" on the menu items. The LA Times recent article pointed this out: So if local chefs like the food, you can be sure it will be a great dining experience. And you are not rushed either. The food for appetizers was delivered perfectly at the correct temperatures. The wine list is very good and the main courses were truly a delight. And of course a French dessert would finish off this great meal Service throughout the evening was very nice and you left knowing you need to come back and maybe a group of 6 or 8 so you can see the variety. It a sure bet to be a great recognized restaurant.

The place is real beautiful, the bar and the vine room well stacked. The outdoor patio could be a real pleasure, but the air is contaminated from the smoke coming from the kitchen. Not for sensitive people with any kind of breathing problems. The portions are microscopic, the prices are real high. The side dishes should be included in the price, but they are a la carte. Most of the dishes tasted good, the dessert tiny, but delicious. There are 3 hostesses, standing doing nothing most of the time. There are way too many employees in this place, but this must be because they want to be real high end. To our surprise they put a surcharge on our bill for the insurance of the employees. With their prices, they could foot the bill for the employees' health insurance. Both the server, the busboy and the hostess were very polite and business like. The menu is very limited. They could have items like calf's liver etc. like in a Parisian bistro.

Definitely on the more expensive side but hey they have to pay rent. Really excellent pasta (all of their pasta is amazing you can't go wrong here) and tiramisu. The portions are small; food is high quality. Attire is nice casual (LA being hyper casual a blouse + jeans is fine). Ambiance is good and the service is friendly (good for a lunch meeting (it says "I'm sophisticated but I'm not trying to put on airs")).

Great place for brunch, dinner, happy hour, cocktails, you name it. Their food and beverages are consistently excellent across the board. The specialty cocktail challenges they host every so often leads to truly one-of-a-kind drinks and lead to some of the most unique tasting cocktails available in Los Angeles. Good value on the happy hour too.

It was an injurious and dreadful experience, I felt totally cheated. I thought I was going to a cute french bistro with a patio, which is what I read on their website. I walked in and it was a cheap, greasy, smoky BBQ restaurant with the grill in the patio. The food was served buffet style (I have never seen that in a proper restaurant) - The people at the grill serving the food were greasy and the whole experience was just awful. It ruined our evening. There is nothing french about this restaurant - avoid!

Took my wife here for Valentine's day brunch and it could not have been better. The food was magnificent and the service just as equal. We sat out on the patio under the trees, which made it picturesque romantic. Vallet parking is good and not super expensive. This is Definetly a good place to go and I will definitely plan to come back sometime.

Beautiful ambiance and incredibly tasty food. True French plates to enjoy in a great indoor/outdoor space. Last time I was there our food was a bit late but they kindly apologized and set over additional starters on the house. What's not to love!

I came here for the July 4th barbecue and it was a wonderful experience. Our waiter seemed a little out of sorts but it was a buffet for the barbecue and Chef Morningstar, manning the grill, was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a feast for the ages. It would have been better if we were able to sit in the gorgeous patio but the dining area inside is pretty too.
