The Best London Wine Bars To Take Advantage Of The Eat Out To Help Out Scheme In - London - The Infatuation

"Many, many years ago when we were in our early twenties, we had dreams of what adulthood would be. We’d own a Dyson, drink wine that cost more than a fiver, and eat things like celeriac for fun. Thanks to Terroirs in East Dulwich those dreams have come true. This wine bar and bistro is a strictly grown-up affair with everything from a smoked eel small plate situation to huge quiches, and natural wines. It’s an intimate spot and with social distancing applied, there aren’t that many seats - so just be sure to book ahead." - heidi lauth beasley

An absolute gem of a shop. As a wine lover I find myself like a child in a sweet shop as I browse the shelves. It's a great spot to pick up a gift for a fellow foodie, with lots of tasty bits & pieces, from Irish cheeses, smoked salmon and chocolates, and that's before you even start on the wine! I'd passed Terroirs many times before I ever crossed the threshold, thinking it was beyond my budget, but there's something in every price range, and I love that Françoise and Seán wear their extensive knowledge lightly, and will readily share it, if you want. They know their producers and can offer lots of information on the wine makers themselves. Now when I buy a bottle, I know it's from a wine maker who is a 4th generation vigneron, or one who works as a part-time fireman, or the one who takes bio-dynamic growing very seriously. Well worth a visit.

It is such a fantastic and unique shop. Special thanks to Conor, who went above and beyond to advise us on wine. We are complete amateurs, so it's so lovely to speak to someone who is both knowledgeable and passionate about their work!

Fantastic selection of wines; also a great selection of chocolates and other treats. Excellent wines at great prices. Forget about your local supermarket and call here. Way better quality and much better value for money! Francoise and Sean are extremely helpful and their knowledge of wine is second to none. Cannot recommend this shop highly enough. A lovely shop not to be missed!

I was out in Donybrook today and saw this store last time I was out this direction.I was not grabbing wine this week but will definitely be back soon to do so.As someone with an interest in wine and who works in the wine business this store was like a little slice of paradise. The range looks great and I can’t wait to try some of their wines. The gentleman and lady in the store today were really lovely and both very helpful with any of my questions and directing me to the wines I was curious about.Customer service was impeccable and can’t wait to come back and grab a few wines from these guys. Five stars well earned ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been a very satisfied customer of Terroirs Ltd for about 15 years. Sean and Francoise have a beautiful shop with many excellent wines and indeed other very interesting wine related products, chocolates etc. I find them extremely helpful and knowledgable about wine and the service is second to none. They are friendly, professional and helpful in every way. They have run this business successfully for well over 20 years and clearly they have a winning formula. I wish them continued success.

Living in the UK and having googled a few wine shops in Dublin on Friday last, I wanted to find a nice simple bottle of Champagne for my daughter who was completing a hard year in college. As soon as Sean picked up his phone, he took over, made the recommendation and organised to personally deliver the said bottle that evening. A simple request. A simple solution. Very refreshing in this day and age when most stores ask you to press 1 for this and press 2 for that... Well done to you both on keeping lifer simple and thanks for looking after Lucy. Deeply appreciated.

I wanted to get a bottle of champagne delivered at short notice to a member of my family who was staying in a Dublin hotel. It all proved very difficult as I live in England. Thankfully I found Terroirs Ltd. Nothing was a problem for Francoise who took my order and had it delivered to the hotel within an hour. Such an amazingly first class and friendly service.....thank you!!

Extremely rude and arrogant woman on the other end of the phone. Advised me too busy to advise on wines etc. Definitely would not buy from this shop. Poor communication and very bad people skills. Perhaps needs to do a customer service course. I called O' Briens and a much nicer shop assistant with a better manner and tone.

Yelp
Wine and Gadgets... a combination made to make every red blooded man in the country feel macho even though they are going into a wine shop and not swilling beer and talking about sporting pursuits and boobs and farting loudly. ...er, I may have just turned every gent in the country who fancies a beer into a milwall supporting larger lout, sorry. Anyway, back to Terriors who sell a selection of nice foods but really, their wines are why you go there, that and the knowledge freely imparted by the wise ones behind the counter who know half the wine producers they stock by name. Last eve we indulged in a wine called sorcerer (or the French version there of), the maker was an ex-journalist now living in France.... Fantastic drop, well recommended. I feel I'm not doing this place any justice at all, I'll revisit soon and with more detail - in the meantime go, you'll be glad you did!

Yelp
I just can't get enough of wine these days. Don't know if it's the extra warmth a glass of red brings to my body on those cold January evenings, or all the great little wine stores I've discovered lately. It's probably a combination of the two. Wine lovers can't complain about a lack of good wine selection in Dublin with the array of amazing shops specialising in premium beverages. Terroirs is one if those treasures. Proper wine shop, with proper selection. They've been in the business for 15 years and sure know how to lure in customers with the most seductive window display. Wines and chocolate, cheese and more wines. How can one resist!?!
