I recently visited Spaccio, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The Italian food was absolutely phenomenal, with the seafood pasta standing out as a perfect 10/10. Each dish we tried was full of flavor, expertly prepared, and truly captured the essence of Italian cuisine. Our server, Sebastian, was a standout—his service was top-notch, attentive, and friendly, making the meal even more enjoyable.
However, my experience was slightly marred by the hostess, Maria. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty when we arrived during a non-busy time, we didn’t feel particularly welcomed. Maria was somewhat indifferent, and even when we left, she made no effort to say goodbye or acknowledge us in any way. This was a bit disappointing, especially considering her role at the front of the restaurant, where she interacts with every guest. First impressions matter, and as the first person customers encounter, the hostess sets the tone for the entire dining experience. It’s important for all guests to feel valued from the moment they walk in, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.
That said, I hope Spaccio takes note of this and works to ensure that all guests are treated with warmth and courtesy. The food and service from our waiter were exceptional, and I believe with some attention to the front-of-house experience, Spaccio could be an even more outstanding dining destination.
