The 24 Best Restaurants & Hotels In Toronto

"Terroni is a Toronto institution—the first location on Queen West opened in 1992, making it practically ancient in a city where new restaurants seem to open weekly. It’s the perfect choice for those evenings when you feel like getting a little dressed up for a meal of fancy pizzas and pastas. Head here with a group so you can try as many dishes as possible, like the black truffle and sausage tonnarelli, white pizza with mozzarella, gorgonzola, fresh pears, walnuts, and speck, and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Terroni has a few locations around the city, though we prefer the one on Adelaide Street since it’s inside an old courthouse." - julia eskins

We had a Saturday night reservation at Terroni Price and were hopeful to be on the rooftop patio, but there wasn't an option on reservations so we selected "high top" hoping for the best. We unfortunately got placed right inside a walkway so were completely enclosed. That's probably our fault. We were still excited to try the food! We were greeted by a waitress who for some reason just absolutely did not like us. I'm not sure if it's because we were two females and we weren't ordering alcoholic drinks so she wanted to focus on other tables where she might get a higher tip, but she was downright rude to us and we could not get her attention at all. We waited an extremely long time for our food, and when it came (we ordered the rigatoni, the ravioli, and a pizza) it was cold as ice. It must have been sitting for a long time before our waitress decided to bring it to us because there was zero warmth to either dish. We could not get the attention of our waitress no matter how hard we tried and we were starving so we ended up eating the cold food. I'm sure it would have been delicious when warm but alas. Desserts were delivered quickly and were good. Noise levels weren't too bad. The general atmosphere was beautiful. But for the price of the cold food and the terrible service, we won't be returning.

I love Terronis on Price St, whether for a quick bite or a drink at the bar, dinner or a date night. I love their patio, don’t expect a view because it’s mid town but the patio itself is super cute! I am not sure which days/nights they have a DJ but that definitely adds on to the great atmosphere! Drinks are good, food is good, staff is good, a pretty safe place to go and enjoy a few couple of hours! They get very busy on the evenings and specially over the weekends, make a reso if you don’t want to be waiting in line.

What can I say about this place. The food was great and service was great. So I’m a big sucker for anything truffles. This pasta truffle dish was delicious. Right balance and full of flavour! Their calamari was great as well. Make sure you ask for their chilli oil as the dipping sauce. Would totally be back again.

Terroni was such a great surprise! We didn’t have a reservation when we visited on a Thursday night, and it was extremely busy. The only spot available was at the bar. At first, we considered coming back another time since we were hoping for a proper dinner table—but I’m so glad we went upstairs to check out the bar first. It turned out to be a really comfortable space, and the table at the bar was actually quite wide and perfect for dining. Once we ordered, everything was delicious—we enjoyed every single bite. For dessert, we had the tiramisu and affogato. Both were amazing, but the affogato especially stood out. It had a special twist to it that I’ve never had anywhere else—you should definitely try it if you visit! The staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent. I also loved the overall vibe in the room—lively, energetic, and full of people enjoying their food and conversations. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing dinner spot, this might not be the right place, but if you enjoy vibrant energy and a social atmosphere, it’s perfect. And here’s something really cool: when I went to the washroom, I noticed that the music playing was actually Italian language lessons! It was such a unique and fun little detail that made the whole experience even more memorable. Highly recommend Terroni if you’re in the mood for authentic Italian food, great service, and a lively dining atmosphere

Google
Food was good but if you want to dine on the rooftop beware of the wasps! Service was quick and the staff are very polite. The rooftop does not have much a view but it's still worth trying our. I found the food tasty and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend the tiramisu.

Overall a great place to come for a dinner or lunch. We came as a party of 12 and the group thought that the food was amazing. One of us, being me, ordered a delicious Margarita Pizza. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, tasting the savoury flavour with every bite. 10/10, ate and left no crumbs. Bonus points for the cheese. Terroni, you’ve earned yourself a returning customer. The Spaghetti in Canne a Mare was full of well-cooked seafood and the ratio of sauce to pasta was on point! I found there was a perfect amount of sauce left on my plate to scoop up with some of the leftover bread - it was lovely. The Tagliatelle alla Bolognese’s pasta was slightly too firm for my tastes but the bolognese sauce was very flavourful. Overall, it was very nice. The Rigatoni arcobaleno was delicious. The flavours were well balanced and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The only issue was that the zucchini in the sauce was undercooked. Santo Stefano pizza is really good, amazing mix of flavour with the prosciutto and arugula. I was slightly disappointed when my drink was taken before it was finished and when my napkin was taken away when I needed it most. Furthermore I also enjoyed the spaghetti al limona and it was good but there was just a little too much lemon for my liking. Ultimately, the food service and atmosphere all came together to make a great experience.

I’d heard about Terroni a lot, we celebrated our anniversary here last night, and it was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Let me start with pros to be fair: Atmosphere was amazing, interior design is awesome, patio and rooftop is nice and fun. Service is pretty good but the waiter had no option for us, like my girlfriend asked for sangria and waiter said no we don’t serve sangria, we asked for margarita, and guess what! He said no we don’t serve that to either! I mean come on!!!! Every bartender can make a simple margarita! The cocktail menu is very limited! Only 4 options for beer! Very limited wine selection by glass! We finally ordered cocktail Osé, and OMG! It tastes just tequila! It’s like you’re taking a tequila shot with lots of ices!!!!! But the worst part for sure was food!!! We ordered pizza Li pecuri and Gnocchi alla simi and both were soooo tasteless!!! The pizza has no taste and pasta sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce! With no doubt the worst pasta and pizza i’ve ever had in Toronto! I asked the waiter to remove arugula from my pizza and he refused!!!!!!! I don’t know what are these all fuss about Terroni! I won’t get back there for sure!

The food was very yummy, pasta was cooked to perfection and great flavours on the Tonnarelli alla Norcina. Especially loved the calamari, super crispy and flavourful, definitely an order for the table. The service was good, we could tell the restaurant was busy so it was harder to get our waiter’s attention. However, super friendly and helpful when asked to put a candle on our dessert for our friend’s birthday celebration. The atmosphere was great, very lively and fun. Lots of big and small groups chatting and having a great time with great food. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
I've always wanted to go to Italy. While a plane ticket might be too expensive, a night out at Terroni is a nice alternative. Terroni Price is a beautiful and large restaurant. Inside you'll find many nooks and crannies with intimate tables and a beautiful rooftop patio overlooking the city. The service is on point and friendly; the drinks are fast and boozy; and the food is amazing. The San Nicola pizza had the perfect chewy and crispy dough. The garganelli pasta was flavorful (plus it has dandelion greens) and the kids pasta portions were large and fast (good for hungry kids). The tiramisu, bomboloni and flour chocolate cake were all nice ends to the evening. Big enough to share but small enough to get your own if you need the excuse. Parking is available down the street at the green P, but with such a nice patio, you might want to cab it and enjoy a drink or two (or three or four)

Yelp
I have been to multiple locations around Toronto and have found all to be pretty similar. So, this review is for Terroni in general, not a particular location. As far as the restaurant goes, it's usually pretty easy to get a table/reservation as their restaurants tend to be pretty sizeable and they pack a lot of seating into the space. The downside of this is that the noise can get quite loud. The service is quite good and efficient, while the waitstaff are professional. The food is good. I have tried a variety of pastas and pizzas. They do a nice Neapolitan style pizza. All the ingredients are authentic and fresh. The only problem I have is that the temperature of the food when they serve it to you can be inconsistent. Sometimes it isn't hot enough. If you decide to do take-out pizza, make sure to reheat it in the oven as I find that for whatever reason their pizza does not travel well. Overall, solid choice for Italian food in the city.

Yelp
I had a very disappointing experience here, from the extremely underwhelming food served to the unpleasant service. First, we asked for bread for the table, which came cold and tough to eat. The apps here were very overpriced (almost the same cost as the mains) and plain. The pizza here was fine, nothing to write home about. The dessert was good but extremely small. When I saw the tablespoon sized scoop of ice cream with the pistachio cake I cackled. The service here was curt and not particularly helpful. We were not asked if anyone had any dietary restrictions, and our friend who was vegan did not get the vegan menu till she asked around half an hour in.

Yelp
Last minute reservation for 21 people. We sat on the roof top patio. The food was very good. The tagliatelle alla Bolognese were excellent. My husband had the pasta pomodoro and he really enjoyed it as well. The Pattatine di Cecci were also very yummy. Great Aperol Spritz and great service . I have been to this location before, but the others are also great.

Yelp
Had a first date here. Absolutely amazing. Food was spectacular, the staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. We had a great time, would recommend and come back any time

Yelp
Are you looking for some authentic Italian fare? Try Terroni at Price St. The restaurant has 3 floors. 1st floor is like a cafe and al fresco dining on the patio. The second floor is bright, spacious, and beautiful. There's even a private dining space overlooking the street. The service was adequate. The server didn't ask if we had any allergies or if we had any questions on the menu. The menu items are named in Italian, but you have English descriptions of each menu item. We each ordered something in the Primi or Pizze menu. I ordered the pappardelle alla losa. The noodles were wide flat sheets. You can tell they were freshly made. The spicy sausage and mushrooms were good. I would have liked the pasta mixed better with the sausage so it soaks up the juices. My wife got the spaghettini in Canna Mare, which is a seafood spaghettin in tomato sauce. There's a generous helping of mussels, clams, calamari, and shrimps. A very well executed dish. My family had the other dishes and they all looked pretty delicious. Overall if you're looking for some good pasta or pizza, then this place would be a great choice. They also have a special menu items for Abruzzo (part of Italy). The ambiance and atmosphere here is fantastic. Their rooftop patio is beautiful, and you get some nice views of the city skyline.

Yelp
Terroni is like stepping in to a bustling trattoria in Italy. The food and ingredients are about as authentic as you'll get in Toronto according to my wife who is from Rome. While we have been to several Terroni locations, the Price Street one is our favorite. Hoping all the new construction doesn't take away from the experience on the outdoor terrace. It's November now so currently not an issue. Sitting inside is also good, think upscale trattoria. As usual, Terroni is very busy. We were lucky to get a table on a Thursday night. We usually keep it simple with some pizzas and side greens along with a bottle from their extensive list of Italian wines. They are also importers of wine so you have an opportunity to buy bottles of anything that you like. Favorite pizzas are Da Do A Da (Tom, mozzarella, goat cheese, eggplant & peppers) and Smendozzata (Mozzarella, sausage & Gorgonzola). Really you can't go wrong. We also order pizza for delivery from Terroni. Prices are fair and the service excellent.

Yelp
Was not the biggest fan of the food. Nothing super special about the pasta. The pizza was decent and had a good crust. Definitely better Italian restaurants to try in the city.

Yelp
Food is consistently good. The Cacio e Pepe was incredible. The gnocchi is quite good and so is the pizza. Service was very attentive and quick.

Yelp
Great vibe! Great place to go hang out with friends or celebrate but the food used to be better. Cuz you know... it's not cheap to eat here! Also if you can get a table at their rooftop patio in a warm evening, just enjoy the experience cuz then it's totally worth whatever you pay

Yelp
We enjoyed Brunch/Lunch and dinner at Terroni Price. All the meals we tried were is delish and better quality than other Terroni in the Financial district area. Excellent brunch menu on the weekend. My go to is the Grill Calamari salad and the seafood pasta. Highly recommend Terroni Price!

Kurtis J.

Yelp
Great location (in comparison to the other ones which didn't fare so well), I guess the location in itself is alright as well. Fantastic ingredients. Small touches in the quality of olive oil, sides, cheese, tomato sauce put this dining experience over the top. The overall vibe is an overall vibe.

Yelp
I have been going here since my mom was pregnant with me. My parents are very kind and generous people and would never write a review. But I am a fire cracker and I am dissatisfied with the service we received at Terroni's last week. The food just wasn't good. The cheese selection has gone far far down hill from what I remember. Where was the Brie? It feels like the sad, dry Parmesan block was something they just pulled from the kitchen stock! We were not offered bread, and we had to ask three times. My parents are so polite and of course I am too. The service industry is a tough place. I just hope my review can get some better cheese for next time. I'm talking soft Brie. I'm talking walnut infused goat, I just KNOW you guys can do better. PLEASE give us some CHEESE! This was just disappointing to the max. And the sandwich meat was gross. Please roll it up with a little tooth pick or something. I don't know. Then the sad pizza my poor vegan mom had to order. There's very little, in fact nothing, on the menu for plant based people. And based on your location, you should seriously invest in changing that! Il Fornello has a fantastic plant based menu. If you're going to do a cheese plate and charge for it, don't put Parmesan on the board. It's embarrassing. Thank you!

Yelp
What a gaggle of cunts. "We don't cut our pizzas, that's not how they do it in Italy." You know who cut my pizza for me? The fucking Italian serving me in Italy. This is one of the most pretentious places I've ever had the displeasure of stepping into. I had to ask them to bring me a chef's knife so I could cut my own pizza and make it easier to feed it to my kids. The only thing more astounding than the clowns who run this place is the fact that people keep rolling into this shack of mediocrity and keeping their lights on. They must be the same people who pay hookers to put cigarettes out on their scrotums and ask to be called names while they jerk off into their own t-shirts. Do not go here. Overrated dump.

Yelp
I previously want to try the TERRONI Queen restaurant during my visit to West Queen West but for some reason I went to another restaurant instead. This past weekend I went to the Yorkville Murals 2022 and gave the TERRONI Price restaurant a try. When I booked online, there is a choice to book the patio or inside. I recommend to book an early time slot (open at 11:30 AM) and get to choose a patio sit with perfect city view. Their patio is so nice on a sunny day, it makes me feel like I am on vacation. I ordered the Carpaccio di Manzo as my appetizer. The raw beef tenderloin itself is super tender. With the mixture of arugula and parmigiano reggiano shavings, it creates a very complex texture for a good starter. If the raw beef tenderloin has a stronger beef favour, it will make it a perfect appetizer. I choose the Tonnarelli alla Norcina as my main dish. I can already smell the truffle before the server place this dish on my table. This dish is very unique, as it provides you a strong smell and taste sensation without overlapping each other. In basic terms, the truffle smells so strong but it will not cover the taste of the homemade spicy sausage, pecorino, and garlic within the pasta. You will need to finish this pasta dish quick, as the truffle smell will be gone after a few minutes. I forgot to mention, their pasta tasted like freshly homemade and it cook al dente. The server recommended me to try the Affogato alla Crema, which is their best-selling dessert. I am not a coffee drinker but the coldness of the crema gelato / dark chocolate mixed with a shot of warm espresso give a unique tasting experience. Overall, I really enjoyed their food and the spectacular city view patio on a sunny day. This is one of the best pasta I had in GTA.

Yelp
Would give 3.5 stars but overall a lovely restaurant! The restaurant ambiance was very nice. There are two stories and we were on the upper level which was nice and spacious. Food was decent, but I do think there are better places for Italian food in the city. I would come back to accommodate a group or for the location but it doesn't quite make the top of my list!

Yelp
An average Italian restaurant who is desperately trying to be above average. Our first time in this place. Ordered fried Calamari for starter. Asked for some sauce. Were told that they do not serve it with sauce, just lemon juice. A more attentive waiter would check with the chef and would see if they can make the client happy. Ordered a pizza [Quattro Stagioni] which has 4 portions of different toppings in 4 separate quarters. prosciutto was good. The sauce was light, which was good. The dough was also light and prepared well. They bring the pizza uncut. Since we were sharing, I asked it to be sliced. Was told that they do not slice the pizza. Sounded to me they are trying to build a character for the joint by adopting peculiar behavior. It may work for some, not for us. Also ordered house white wine. It was good. Manger noticed we were not happy. Came over and tried to explain. But I guess at the end we had to agree to disagree. Menu is limited to pasta and pizza. If you want bread, ask for it. Ambiance is good.
google avatar

Kassie N.

Yelp
The pappardelle alla Iosa a little bit on the dry side because it is made without sauce but still pretty good. The funghi assoluti was kind of burnt and had a slight bitter taste, but I enjoyed it. The atmosphere and interior was very warm and elegant, with lots of regulars. This is a good spot for date night!
google avatar

Sanzhar S.

Yelp
Delicioso. I may have tried almost every pizza here. One of the friendliest and most fun places to go, both for a lively evening out, or a chill afternoon traditional 'za. Goes without saying that the folks who run the place around the different communities for over a generation have kept the place (the quality of food and service) top notch. I can also confirm that the Los Angeles Terroni's is equally excellent.
google avatar

Charmaine L.

Yelp
Roof top lunch very stylish and comfy atmosphere. Foods are made perfectly and very friendly service. Highly recommended

Yelp
Fresh food, Fun atmosphere, and strong drinks! How can you go wrong with a Terronis? We ordered the mushroom salad and instantly fell in love. The burrata is pricy but delicious. They have a patio section and it has great views of Toronto! Next time I would just order a bunch of appetizers to share.. I felt too full to finish my pasta! It was delicious tho!

WY N.

Yelp
Food and service are average. Terroni Price location has a nice rooftop patio which offers guests good dining experience when the sun is out on a breezy day.
google avatar

Desmond V.

Yelp
5 Stars for the authentic Margherita pizza. 3 Stars for the experience. Wish I'd known bread was given only when requested :(
google avatar

Yelp
Always enjoyed my team dinners here! It was my first time ordering delivery from this venue and it did not disappoint. Their pasta are on the harder side, so if you want it to be more soft you should tell the server when you are ordering it. I always get their pasta with truffle!
google avatar

Shu O.

Yelp
Once a year, I come here for a work function and we get a set menu. They were accommodating for our friend who need gluten free menu. The food was tasty overall but was a little lacklustre. Our friend was a severely disappointed by the gluten free options as they were bland and lacking in flavour. He ended up risking it and eating the regular pizza out of desperation. The caprese salad and ravioli were actually pretty delicious and would definitely come on my own just for that. The true saving grace was the tiramisu. It was a pleasant surprise. We always dine at the rooftop and the ambiance and view of the LCBO clock tower is always nice.
google avatar

Yelp
It used to be really fun and charming when they were up by St Clair. Now there is a screener at the door , you need to swear you have a table before they permit you to pass. One thing that really put me off recently was seating in the through way table to upstairs. Someone ,passed by every 2 minutes going in or out of the restaurant. The sweeping of the floors while we ate was also unpleasant. All the dust stirred up landing on the food. Telling us at the outset we only had 90 minutes to sit down, order, eat and get out. We were on the clock. It used to be fun but not anymore. The food: mehhhh....

Sue L.

Yelp
I just met a friend for lunch at Terroni Uptown and we had a great experience! It was not too crowded, so our server was very attentive. We each had a Summer Spritzer which were delicious. Then we shared the beet salad which had a chickpea pancake base and also arugula and pistachios - we chose that because it had a lot of different unique flavors, and we were right! My friend had tagliatelle and I had gnocchi for my main. Both were delicious, but not exceptional. We skipped dessert, and stood outside talking for a bit when my friend (who made the reservation) got a call from Terroni, saying that a pink cosmetics case was left on the seat, and was it hers? Actually, it was mine, and even though there was nothing valuable in it, one of the hostesses brought it downstairs to me. I really appreciated that. It made a very good experience an exceptional one.

Yelp
This place is spotless! Service was great, we were served by Brittany, she was just amazing. Very kind and patient, it started to rain when we were on their rooftop and she promptly helped us to move to a covered table. The place is very beautiful, clean, comfortable and nice large tables (I love that, so it doesn't get all packed when ordering different things). The appetizer "Mezza Mezza" (I believe that was the name, I forgot!) was fantastic! Everything was very fresh and good portion for two people! The ravioli with butternut squash and parmigiano was just amazing, light and tasty! Portions are very good (it definitely matches the price). The dessert looks simple, a croissant filled with Nutella and ice cream, but when you bite it surprised me, it's even better than what it looks. Yummy, I love sweets! They definitely deserve your time, and money! Hahaha
google avatar

Corey F.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. The pasta here really is great! I got the special which was ravioli and I scraped the plate clean. The sauce was a thing of beauty and the cheesy stuffing was perfect. They had delicious, appetizers as well like the calamari which were just fantastic. It's a great place to bring a large party too as we were 15 people. There wasn't anything I didn't like and I highly recommend it!

Yelp
We went to terroni with a reservation on a Monday during holiday season for a birthday. It was busy! We were seated immediately right in front of the kitchen so there was a lot of hustle and bustle nearby. 1) Quattro formaggio pizza - the special. For some reason it came with prosciutto on it which it didn't mention on the menu (might be a problem for vegetarians that it wasn't stated). Also the pizza was very weird. One of the cheeses of the 4 were just plopped on one side, and we later saw that one of the other 4 cheeses was plopped on another side (you can't see it pictures because the colour/texture blends in). I expected all cheeses to be intermixed instead of segregated? It was strange. 2) tortellini - 5 super large pieces stuffed with creamy ricotta in a butter sauce, delicious and well cooked. 3) pappardelle - tons of sausage, cooked well, flavourful. Although pasta portions seem small, we were full. Probably from the pizza. No offerings for birthday. Staff was attentive, speedy and checked on us frequently. $75 for two people before tip.

Yelp
All around great food and would recommend coming here for italian food. We got the calamari, Ct'Mang pizza and Rigatoni arrabbiata for food. Calamari was cooked the proper italian way just like my mom would make it. I wish they had a sauce to go with it like other places typically have, adds an extra something to make it different from having it authentically at home. Ct''Mang was amazing wood oven pizza, loved the sweet accents with the pear. The only super annoying thing is that they don't cut the pizza for you... you have to do it yourself with a knife. The pasta was also amazing, cooked proper - right amount of slightly hard, accompanying cheese and cherry tomatoes complemented it so well. We also got tiramisu with cappuccinos for desserts. Dessert was great. Service was okay. Food came fast but server didn't come around to check up, fill waters, ask for hot pepper etc. 5/5 for food, but 4/5 overall because server was kind of absent when we needed her for things

Yelp
Decor and atmosphere: Fun vibe on the patio even on a midday summer Monday. The view is ok, not the place for that ' out of towner' view though esp if in middle of patio. Service: Good. Friendly. 4/5 Food: Separate vegan menu, which was much welcomed. Many items though were simply regular menu items with cheese removed, a change which doesn't necessarily result in a dish of balanced flavours. Ricchia salad nice with lots of mushrooms and arugula and lemon good though needed some fat to balance the acidity. Similarly vegan pizzas decent - would prefer crispier, good when topped with above arugula else somewhat bland - though no reason vegan cheese couldn't have been offered. And, plant based ice cream a few doors south of the restaurant, but not on the menu. 3/5. Overall: Friendly service with a fun summer vibe on the patio. Would return for a glass of wine/drink at the bar. 3.5/5

Yelp
Italian restaurant with ok food. Nothing really stood out and everything was average. Service was good and staff was friendly.

Yelp
A very large space with extensive bar area that you can dine at easily or enjoy a drink while you wait for a table. The food items are all superb and reasonably with a great italian flare with great amounts of high quality ingredients. Not a place you should worry about getting enough braised beef in a braised beef pasta dish. The drink menu is also featuring a great variety. There are daily specials for each day of the week. The only let down is for birthdays. If you brought a cake, they charge $4 per person for cake cutting fees. A bit of a disappointing upcharge considering how much the other items cost.

Yelp
I wish I had checked recent reviews before heading over here this past weekend. I remembered in the past, this location in particular, was always the most thrilling dining experience. Of course, the patio is a major seller here but we didn't book in time so we dined inside which wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, this was our first real dining experience since pandemic and it was a let down. The food was extremely underwhelming. What changed? I couldn't put my finger on it but I remember many years ago that my friends and I loved this place. The dining experience felt very stressful as well. A child's high chair was not sanitize upon request and we were told that they are all sanitized beforehand. However, given the pandemic, I don't think it is unreasonable to request for additional cleaning. The server was very disinterested and we didn't press on it more since we figured things have been rough for staff. Our server also repeatedly came to our table to ask if we were done with our plates (it was absurdly often that the staff was stopping by for this) and we felt rushed to polish off our plates. The only thing that will keep people coming back will be the epic food we once loved. Can't imagine returning any time soon.

Yelp
Fantastic spot to meet with friends and family. Went during summer 2020 as I looked for outdoor patio options during the COVID-19 pandemic. Beautiful rooftop patio (took a few flights of stairs) with an amazing view. Was seated promptly and away from other patrons. Food was fresh, delicious and well-portioned. Will return next summer.

Yelp
This is a quick review for a mistaken brunch that I had here :) Being newish to this area I didn't realise this spot has two restaurants. So with a quick reservation I ended up at the one located upstairs. Unfortunately this spot doesn't have a brunch menu rather a menu that runs the whole day. I tried the veal sandwich on this visit (pizzas seem to be very popular so will be back for those I suppose) The sandwich was good and very reasonable as comes with a decent salad as well. I would go as far as saying forget about the popular sandwich shop nearby and give this a try as the space and quantity is decent for what you pay. 3.5 stars with a place holder to come back for the pizza soon.

Yelp
Ate here last night and I've been a Terroni fan over the years, but sad to say that it's taken a dive in service and food quality. Not even average. Great ambience but the rest has slipped away from them. Wouldn't recommend nor return here - there's many better places for Italian food.

Yelp
I had dinner with a group here not long ago and I had heard that it was a great place for pasta, as they make their own. Service was painfully slow to get drinks and place our food orders, but once we ordered appetizers and mains, the food came out not too long after. I had the beef carpaccio to start, and it looked delicious when it arrived. Sadly, the olive oil was not very good and it wasn't seasoned at all so it was a disappointing choice. The deep fried calamari that my friend ordered was quite good, though, so I would likely order that if I ever go back. Unfortunately, my Garganelli Geppetto (pasta with dandelions, homemade spicy italian sausage, fontina, parmigiano, extra-virgin olive oil) was also extremely bland. My friend also had the same issue so we asked for some salt and pepper. Our server brought out a tiny dish of rock salt. So very bizarre to serve this, especially with no spoon. I had to pour the salt into my hand then sprinkle in my food, but the salt chunks were so big that it was not possible to season properly. There was no way to crush the big rocks between my fingers as it was very hard, so some bites of food were extremely salty and others very bland, resulting in an extremely unpleasant meal. If the chef can't season the food properly, then they should at least have a better option for guests to season the food themselves. Very disappointing dinner so I'm in no hurry to return.

Yelp
I was excited to try Terroni after seeing all the IG posts but was disappointed. We ordered a pasta and pizza. The pasta lacked flavor and was basically room temperature when it came out. In comparison, the pizza tasted better but definitely not good enough to be memorable. We told the waitress the pasta was cold and she said we could pick another pasta so we did. It came back with the top steaming but when we mixed it and ate it, it was the same room temperature and lack of flavour. We told the waitress immediately but by then we were like k whatever. We just ate it and get the bill. They didn't bill us for the first pasta but billed us for the second one. Gave them a two star instead of a 1 star because at least the pizza came out hot.

Yelp
Not worth the hype! I know this place is highly recommended for Italian but after eating at a few Italian places in Toronto, Terroni seems over priced and very mediocre food. The fig salad lacked a punch from the balsamic vinegar. The pasta was lesser than el dente and the service was slow. We didn't even get enough silverware for 4 people! They kept serving us for 3 people.

Yelp
The location of this restaurant is very good it's close to both downtown and uptown Toronto. Also public parking is available near the restaurant. The servers and the staff were polite and helpful. For the Appetizer, we got the carpaccio di manzo (raw beef tenderloin). It was very good, both the design and the garnish. We got two types of pasta for the main course. The spaghetti in canna a mare was spot on. Everything in that dish was cooked to perfection and seasoned to the right point. The pasta for Rigatoni all'Amatriciana was a bit old I think and my friend wasn't quite happy with it because of that. Now, everyone knows this place for their pasta but I'm telling you, the dessert here is the best part of the menu, especially the Nutella donuts (Bomba Calda). I wanted to take the plate with myself so I don't lose this flavour haha. There is one more thing I have to say, I think the price of some items on the menu is not reasonable, especially their red wines. For example, the same bottle of wine at LCBO is 17$, yet at Terroni it is like 50. However, get a bottle of white wine, it's worth it! Overall, I do suggest this place, actually don't go because then it would be full and I can't go again

Yelp
We just had one of the worst expériences at Terroni's last night. Service was really bad and food was extremely overpriced. Waiter kept us waiting for over half an hour before even taking our order. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anybody and will never go back there again..... very disappointing.

Yelp
That's right! It's Terroni on Price Street with a huge rooftop patio! I prefer this location because it's easy to find parking with a lot right across from the restaurant and it's less crowded. We came here for lunch, ordered the Funghi Assoluti to start, the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare & Puzza to share. Honestly if they're weren't just the two of us dining and we were with a group of 10, we'd be ordering everything on the menu already because everything looked so gooood! Overall experience was good and staff greeted us nicely, however, we waited 20 minutes for our table even with a reservation and arrived on time to check in with the receptionist. I guess because of social distancing measures some seating arrangements took longer than expected to arrange, so the wait was forgivable and the food made up for it! Thank you Terroni for staying strong and staying safe!

Yelp
Food served cold I had a pizza and a cappuccino here, neither was served hot. The terrace was nice with lovely ambiance. Service was pretty militant in 'no substitutions' policy, nuts were allowed to be removed but no other intolerances were accommodated.

Yelp
Horrible experience. We reserved a table for 3 and were seated at a small booth meant for 2 people. Dont believe me? Try to sit 2 grown men on one side and ask if they are comfortable. Our male server had long curly hair that was pretty much covering his face. Is this even hygenic? At least tie it up. As we verbally placed our order, our server did not write anything down so we assumed he was confident in his abilities. He forgot an entire entree and when we followed up, he told us "we ran out of this order and the kitchen could not communicate that to me before they closed". This was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. We asked for spoons from a different server and did not receive them until we asked again. We asked for bread and received cold bread. It came with olive oil but no balsamic vinaigrette. We asked for balsamic vinaigrette but they told us the kitchen was closed. Salads were decent, beef carpaccio was delicious but pasta was horrible (I think we ordered the bolognese tagliatelle). My friend ate cold bread and salad for dinner because the kitchen decided to not ask if we wanted to order something else since they ran out of that particular order (that or our server forgot to put the order in). Food presentation was amazing but other than that, we will not be returning.

Yelp
Pretty good food but terrible service. Things started off ok but then it was impossible to find our server or for someone to help. We kept having to get up to track someone down. We were there for bday party but the service killed the vibe. Simple dinner was over 3 hours long and there were little kids with us. Definitely not a family friendly experience.

Yelp
4 star for the terrace view 2 star for the service (food took 50 minutes) 3 star for the food. Average quality for the price Going to take away a star for the bald security. Guy gate keeps the place like a bouncer at a night club. It's just Terroni dude.... Overall below average experience.

Yelp
What's better than excellent service, great food at an accommodating restaurant? I mean everything Terroni was not. Our group of 15 got pretty confused when we were told to head to the second floor for our reservation when it was really on the third floor. If you like your bread with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette, you are out of luck! Only hard breads with olive oil available. I got a Spinoza cocktail, it was so so. We had two orders of calamari's. To be exact, four pieces each at $17 an order. They tasted like Costco calamari's that I can easily make at home. Pizzas were good but we were told that their policy doesn't allow extra cheese on the pizzas. Sharing was difficult because they couldn't provide a cutter - and couldn't be nice about it. When everyone's main course arrived, we asked for some ginger ale and Coke. And...... No Coke! On a Saturday...... That's cool. I asked for some black pepper for my way undercooked pasta- will attach a photo. 15 minutes later, I asked for it again because clearly no one enjoys black pepper with their meal. Especially bland undercooked pasta. 15 minutes later, I finally get my black pepper. Ginger ale arrives after 30 minutes after being ordered. Because of the fact that they didn't sell full-sized cakes, we brought our own. But be prepared to pay a whopping $60 just for bringing your own cake. Yes, for the cake and not booze. Some of us felt sick after eating undercooked pasta or from funky smelling water. Will we return or recommend? Nope. Did they still make us pay 18% tip? Yes.
