Where to Dine Outdoors in the Twin Cities in Any Season

"At this must-try Minneapolis Italian restaurant and bar the outdoor dining option comes in the form of a temperature-controlled exterior terrace. The space is open Monday through Thursday until 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays until 10 p.m., Chianti and porchetta sandwiches flowing like wine in old Napoli." - Eater Staff

The Best Happy Hours in Minneapolis and St. Paul - Eater Twin Cities

"With a decade under its belt, Terzo’s wine menu, organized by region, and excellent menu of contemporary Italian cuisine is still a favorite. The intimate wine bar’s happy hour is Monday through Saturday at the bar only, when deals on wine, beer, and cocktails are on offer." - Alex Lodner, Eater Staff

The Best Wine Bars in Minneapolis and St. Paul - Eater Twin Cities

"Terzo’s wine menu — organized by region — highlights traditional Italian wines, including some of the country’s most iconic producers. With more than 300 selections, it can be hard to choose between the Chiantis, Toscanas, and Piemontes: Narrow it down to something from the ever-changing “by the glass” menu for an easier selection. Terzo also serves an excellent menu of contemporary Italian cuisine." - Justine Jones, Katy Spratte Joyce

Six Seasonal Favorites Return for Spring - Eater Twin Cities

"At Terzo, the Porchetteria window is the place to be during warm days. Opening this week and serving sandwiches and bowls all summer long, the eponymous hit here is the porchetta sandwich: Air Duroc pork, slow-roasted until meltingly tender, served on a plush ciabatta bun. This year, the walk-up window has a new addition: a full bar with creative, seasonal cocktails." - Julie Zhou

Went to Terzo about a month ago and was obsessed with everything! The vibe was amazing, the food and wine even better. I loved it. Hoping they recover from the horrible flooding and see many customers come in to support!

Terzo won't reopen after 'devastating' water main break The water main break occurred on Feb. 13 right outside of Terzo's main entryway. Author: David Griswold Published: 4:39 PM CDT May 30, 2025 Updated: 4:39 PM CDT May 30, 2025 MINNEAPOLIS — Months after a water main break caused widespread damage to several businesses around 50th Street and Penn Avenue South, Terzo announced its doors will remain closed permanently. The Broder family, which owns the Italian-inspired restaurant and wine bar, posted on social media that the damage was too great to reopen, saying the space was "unrecognizable." Terzo was more than just a place to eat; the guests made our neighborhood restaurant a gathering place for countless memories, celebrations, and nightly rituals," the post reads, in part. "We are deeply grateful for the support, love, and loyalty you’ve shown the Terzo team over the years. To the staff that brought Terzo life, your contributions will never be forgotten. It has been an honor to contribute to the growing Twin Cities restaurant community over the past 12 years. We are especially grateful to our friends who organized events to benefit Terzo staff impacted by this tragedy. The water main break occurred on Feb. 13 right outside of Terzo's main entryway. In March, owner Charlie Broder told KARE 11's Gordon Severson that the water broke through a wall in their basement. Broder was hopeful that the restaurant could be restored, but on Friday, he announced that the resources needed were beyond their capacity. Instead, Broder said they will expand their flagship Cucina Italiana market and deli. "While we mourn the loss of Terzo, we look to the future with optimism and excitement," the post reads. "If there is one thing we’ve learned after 43 years in business, we must move forward."

Go for the wine list and stay for the food — Terzo is doing both so well. Dinner at the bar was effortless and delicious with helpful but not smothering service and great seasonal and mainstay wines. I shared focaccia, two small pasta portions and a main dish and left totally satisfied, but this is not an Olive Garden all-you-can-eat portion size (nor should it be). Order several things and split with a pal for the best mix of flavors, textures and truly thoughtful Italian food happening here.

I was there on a Friday night and we were seated in a patio area. The atmosphere is excellent with a cool bar. Service was pretty good. The waiter knew the drinks and food on the menu. I was not impress with the portions in the cocktails and some of the dishes it lacked value for the money.

Knowing how good Broder's is, I came to Terzo with high expectations. My friend and I went to Terzo for dinner, and we left the building feeling very fulfilled. Since most people recommended the porchettas, my friend and I both got that. I had the calabrian porchetta, and she had the mushroom porchetta. Needless to say, the slow-roasted pork was a definite highlight! It was tender, flavorful, and juicy, and I don't even normally eat pork. The porchettas' individual flavor profiles were elevated by the respective types of aioli, but it was evident that the pork was the dominant ingredient. We also enjoyed the mousse di fegato, which contained a good combination of chicken liver (can be bitter to some) and sherry gastrite / angostura mustard (leaning towards sweet). Finally, the torta gianduja is a dessert that I have seen from a Star Tribune article, and I have been longing to try it. It was a 10 out of 10! The hazelnut in the bottom complemented the layers of chocolate (different texture each layer) so well, on top of the sea salt, in addition to the cocoa powder on the side, that every bite was as enjoyable as I could imagine from a chocolate cake, which I typically would dismiss as too "bready." Overall I recommend this place, especially regarding the porchetta that my friend and I had tried! We did not try any primi or secondi here, but I wouldn't be surprised if others have positive experiences with those dishes!

I've visited Terzo many times but tonight was especially good. All dishes were delicious, we had the carrots, the peas, the ricotta, the cheese plate, and the ravioli. We couldn't help ourselves and added the lemon cake and sorbet for deserts. Service? Fantastic as usual. Great wine paring too. Hope we can make it for their restaurant week specials.

Yelp
We needed some Italian on Mother's Day weekend, and finding a reservation was not easy! Terzo had an option at the communal table, and we were in! Walking into the venue, I noticed it was gorgeous, with lower lighting. It feels homey while also giving off a higher-end vibe. The bar looked beautiful and busy! We were greeted immediately and seated. Water was offered immediately, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. We started with a white wine and a red wine! Both were excellent choices and went well with the starters. The starter choices were arancini and ricotti fritters. I loved the richness of the ricotta fritters, but I was totally in love with the arancini balls! They were great with the spiciness of the surrounding pesto with serranos. It was a great combination. When we were done with our starters, they removed all silverware and brought out new ones for the main entree (I loved that, hate that for the restaurant with cleaning, but eh). Dinner was Tagliatelli, Tortelli, and Brasato! The pasta choices are either a 1/2 serving or a full. That was nice, especially if you wanted to try other items or had a primi and secondi choice! The Brasato was so flavorful, and the shallot was exceptional. I am not a vast polenta fan, but it mixed well with the wine sauce and the beef. I was able to try the Tagliatelle as well. It was a great al dente. It is homemade, so the noodles are thicker and cooked with a slight bite. It was wonderful. The Tortelli, my daughter stated, was excellent, and she loved every bite. Dessert time! We had a fantastic full-bodied espresso, the hazelnut torte, and an affagato! No one left hungry, and the evening was a blast. PROS: Great atmosphere, romantic if you have a date night The food was on point, and the flavors were amazing Great service The bar service and bar area were great; stop in Knowledgeable staff with the menu and drinks CONS: Parking can be difficult

Yelp
Amazing food and we were all satisfied and Jayden, one of the kitchen staff, happened to be the MOST amazing of all sending us out all of the kitchen specialties to try. EVERYTHING was just magical and delicious! Our entire party was so impressed with the delicious food and will be telling all of our friends to go try this gem of a restaurant!!

Yelp
Date night at Terzo was fantastic. Warm and welcoming staff, generous, beautiful, and delicious meal. What a fun night. Felt really special--like a celebration--while at the same time the price was right. We'll be back!

Yelp
Came here for HH with a girlfriend around 4:15 on a Friday. Sat at the bar and experienced very attentive service. Excellent HH specials. My girlfriend got a glass of the house red and loved it. I got the specialty HH cocktail which was kind of like a daiquiri. It was so delicious- zingy and refreshing. We were brought the most delicious summery bite- fresh tomato, burrata, basil, and olive oil. Like an amuse bouche- gratis! The HH menu popped off - we got the raviolo (rotating flavor) and thought it was fabulous. The pesce crudo was outstanding- we ordered two. It was steelhead, citrus, peach, chive oil, pickled peppers. HH prices were great. We went across the street to Tinto for snacks to complete a progressive dinner situation and tbh were disappointed and wished we had stayed with Terzo and tried more new things. Looking at the rest of the menu it is clearly full of fresh, thoughtful, seasonal dishes with lots of vegetables and big flavors. Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick happy hour before dinner next door at Broders! Super cute little spot that has small plates and more. We just walked in and got a spot at the bar (first come first served) and ordered wine with a few apps. The focaccia was delightful and perfect for dunking in the Raviolo. The Raviolo was my favorite - mixed meats inside with a rich pomodoro tomato sauce for finish. Seems heavy but a great pasta appetizer if you just need a snack! Did not get any entrees but no complaints for the happy hour we tried. Good food, service and food was quick and easy! Look forward to coming back for dinner some night.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week specials! The starter was nice! It's a spoon with a little treat from the kitchen. (It's basically fancy hummus) I had the risotto, potato gnocchi, and the olive oil cake for the restaurant week specials. (February 2023) The risotto was great! I was anticipating getting some crackers or bread to eat with the risotto but didn't need it as it was full of flavor on its own! It had sweet and savory profiles that changed with each bite! The gnocchi was also a great dish, each gnocchi was very smooth, buttery and melts in your mouth as you chew. I was hesitant to try the pork cheek but it was very good! It does not have a strange chewy texture, it feels like a regular piece of meat, just slightly more tender. The sauce was very savory, kind of like a gravy. Overall the entire dish came together nicely. Finally, the star of the night had to be the olive oil cake! It had the consistent of a pound cake, with a nice orange taste and a scoop of gelato! P.S. the lighting is dim, the back patio is heated AND very warm. The servers will take all your silverware after each course and replace it. Parking is limited behind the restaurant but street parking is pretty accessible.

Yelp
Ate here for a date night and we had an awesome meal. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us recommendations for both wine and food, and we loved everything we tried. We ended up ordering way more than we could eat, but it was fun to try different things. The dishes are fresh and there are plenty of options on the menu!

Yelp
Can confirm still a great experience and I'm bumping my review up to 5 stars! Pro tip- order the olive oil cake. One of the best desserts I've had in awhile. Arancini is a must order and the mushroom risotto was ahhhhmazing.

Yelp
Selected this as my birthday meal on my road trip months in advance as I heard the Porchetta was delicious. Didn't go into it thinking I would be getting a 5 course meal, but there were $5 specials at the bar. I ordered... Ricotta Fresca do Capra Prosciutto di San Danielle Raviolo (lamb neck, ricotta, agridulce and pine nuts) Calabrian Porchetta sandwich w/ radicchio slaw and calabrian aioli Tortelli (ricotta, Gorgonzola, parmigiano, artichoke, asparagus, lemon, parmigiao broth) The Porchetta lived up to hype but I really loved the detail of each small topping that complimented the main ingredient. The pasta for example had crunch, some acid, etc from the asparagus, pine nuts, agriculture. Thanks for a great bday!

Yelp
Okay food at best. Service was good, wine was nice, and food was trying to be too hip and poorly executed. Terrible marinara (flavorless) and tiny sized arancini that seemed frozen- they were stiff and tasteless. Pasta was way too al dente! It was hard! On the expensive side of dining experiences for the quality of food that was served. Our server was nice, it's a cute and cozy place with great potential, but seemingly an off night for our party of 5 tonight.

Yelp
I looked forward to having an Italian meal with my family and dear friends. We arrived On a rainy night, and looked at the menu and honestly, didn't quite understand the fancy sounding preparation of the dishes. We asked to be enlightened, and suggestions were made. The fried chicken was mostly batter. The homemade pastas were too thick and no sign of ricotta stuffed inside the noodles. The marinara was not tasty at all. We were all so disappointed in our meals. The best part of it was the ambiance, not the food. Disappointing.

Linda P.

Yelp
The service and ambiance were fine but the food was nothing like any Italian fare I've ever encountered. not a meatball or chicken parm or lasagne in sight. the appetizers were no better (actually less tasty) than what one can buy in a grocery store. Cute place, less than mediocre food.

Yelp
Visited 5/6/23. Okay first thing's first-all the good things. Service was really great and I have nothing bad to say about that or about the bar seating on the temp controlled patio. The atmosphere of the patio is super cute and is in an awesome location. In addition to that, one of my dining companions really enjoyed the risotto (smaller portion is like 3/4 a cup or so, a bit small for $21, so be cognizant of this). In addition to this, the chef provided a small before meal bite with homemade ricotta which was refreshing and fun. I wanted to love Terzo so bad, especially since I adore Broders so so much. I had been also looking forward to visiting because they had porchetta on the menu. My mom grew up on the iron range in MN so we love Porchetta and love ordering it any place we go. I got the Spritz to drink and this was refreshing. I was slightly sad about the Porchetta sandwiches, as they had some fatty chunks on them that were harder to eat. I'm not super anti fat as I love a good pork belly, but I thought it was cheese initially because it was just white fat. The aioli on the sandwiches was pretty thick as well and they would've been well paired with some kind of side, especially given the price point. We did order the homemade chips and dip and the chips were great and would've been perfect to have a few to go with the sandwiches. Overall, like I said I was super excited to dine here but in the future I would stick with maybe some of the pasta dishes.

Kristi F.

Yelp
service was very rude and dismissive. Initially very attentive but once they found out we walked in vs reservation, didn't stop back at our table. Felt very much like they just wanted us to leave as both waitresses walked by multiple times, looked at us but never stopped for even drink orders. So after 10-15 min of no one coming back to our table, we left. The restaurant was not busy at all. Not going to go back or recommend this place

Michelle S.

Yelp
Loved the food and service! Super cozy and warm atmosphere, welcoming staff. We will be back!

Yelp
Pros: - The food is good. - the decor is nice. Cons: - Service is pretty slow, and the casual nature of the service doesn't justify the prices. - They add a 15% health and wellness charge that is vague about if it goes to employees or not. (Just make the prices more expensive so you don't surprise customers when they come dine). This practice is quite frustrating and prevents me from wanting to dine there again. - the portions are very small for the expensive prices, I got a "full" plate of pasta as opposed to the half plate, all I could think when I got it was, if this is the full what on earth does the half look like.

Yelp
I'm not sure why I've put off going to this unique and charming restaurant at 50th and Penn for so long, but I finally stopped in with a friend in a snowy Monday to give it a try. Given the parking challenges in the area, it's great that I was early and got a space in their attached lot. Not quite sure what I was expecting but the wine-themed interior with its wine vines on the wall and cork oak bark accents along the long wall in the narrow space really made oldie a cozy yet contemporary vibe. At six it wasn't too busy but it filled quite nicely over the next hour or so. Tip-unlike their other restaurants, they take online reservations (via Resy). As we were settling in and pressing the extensive list of wines by the glass, we were treated to a small bite courtesy of the restaurant-a Fried zucchini with truffle aioli-really good. Since we had 5 minutes left of happy hour, we ordered the Pecorino with honey-yummy and the Arancini (good but not great). By this point we were sipping Prosecco. Switching to a glass of a Sicilian red we next split the luscious smoky Garganelli with bacon-the small serving was just right as a first course. I'm not sure I could even eat a whole plate of this sinfully rich pasta. My brother had strongly recommended the Porketta sandwich with chips so we got the one with the spicy slaw as a main course. It's big and meaty and the fresh made chips are a great compliment. We also ordered the Carrots with goat cheese as a side just to get a bit of vegetables. They were perfectly roasted and sitting in a little nest of creamy herbed goat cheese. Of course a glass of vintage Barolo ($25/glass) was an indulgent accompaniment. With a few sips of wine remaining we had to wrap it all up with the Chocolate "layer" cake-rich chocolate mouse topped with sea salt that was rich and creamy and a perfect end to a delightful evening. Loved Terzo! (Now if the Broders could only figure out a way to resume a wait list system at the pasta bar

Yelp
FLIPPING DELICIOUS! This is one of those sweet little spots you'd come back to regularly - but you'd get fatter fast! Rare Wednesday night expedition out with the hubby, boyfriend, and best friend to enjoy nibbles and cocktails. We hadn't been there before but friend said she had been and we were all in the mood for a Negroni. ROCK STAR quality cocktail - simply superb (we had two!). But as good as the cocktail was, it was the FOOD that is driving this rating because it was outstandingly delicious! We started out with a few appetizers - Pecorino with honey and walnuts; Homemade chips with a couple Aioli options; and a nice serving of Prosciutto - fantastic way to start our grazing! Simple, but not simple at the same time - and deliciousness in every single bite! Three of us shared some entree items as the boyfriend is a fussy little bugger - more about that shortly! We had a Burratta dish that was sublimely delicious - seriously, I can't describe it because it has to be experienced to understand how fabulous it was. The creamy-delicious cheese was served with peaches and grain and hazelnuts and arugula and you could eat this three times a day if you had to! We also shared a Porchetta Bowl with was a very large serving of polenta with their delicious roast pork served with rapani and topped with a poached egg. AMAZEBALLS! Now - the boyfriend thing - he likes Italian food, but more traditional things and Terzo makes their food more works of art than traditional I think. He asked if they had any "simple" kind of pasta dish and they served him fresh fettuccine in butter with parmigiana over the top - it was called "Kids Noodles" (apropros!) on the menu and they charged us $8 for it. And you know what? It was FANTASTIC! Artistic or not, sometimes the simplest of foods and presentation hit the spot too. Dessert consisted of Lemon Baba Cake and a trio of sorbet - which although very good, didn't pack the "dazzle" that the rest of the meal did. The service throughout the meal was excellent! There were a few awkward moments where they tried handing food over a railing (we were on the patio) but overall, that was very minimal. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly and did a great job! It was a fantastic mid-week escape and we will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
My first evening in Minneapolis I decided to hit up a few Used Bookstores... this place was next door and I knew I needed to eat soon. Sat at the Bar (which I usually do when dining solo) every single item I had was fresh and Brilliantly served! I'm here to tell ya... that Lake Trout... THAT LAKE TROUT!!!??? Man Oh Man was the BOMB.COM topped with Neonata had me looking for someone's Grandmama to SLAP! but let me not be remiss in my appreciation of the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, which could've been a light dinner and called it a DAY! I really wanted to return the next evening and get the same thing but I was frolicking in other places hahahaha ((smile)) if you are debating on having dinner in this area do your self a favor and try this place out... you won't be sorry. Respectfully Reviewed

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant the first time we have eaten there. The ambiance is very nice .Service was great. The bread that was brought out right away at no cost was superb as was the chive olive oil to dip it in. A friend with us had risotto, and it was far to salty to my taste. The salt probably was from the prosciutto that was in it. I assume that no other salt was added. I hope that they can tone down the salt in this item. The scallop was far to small, but it was very fresh and delicious. I feel that the size of the portion was inadequate. Why just one scallop? Despite these 2 comments we definitely plan to come back and will just avoid the items I mentioned.

Yelp
I stopped in for happy hour last Friday with my parents after we'd been furniture shopping for their new house all day. We were ready for a nice glass of wine and some good food, and snagged a perfect spot at the bar right at the end of happy hour. Happy hour wines are $7 for a nice pour, tap beers are $1 off, and bottles of Grain Belt are only $1. Some of the small plates are also a few dollars off from 5-6pm on weekdays. We started with some happy hour apps and wine, and then moved on to some of the items off the bar menu and main menu (you can order off of both at the bar, which is nice). I enjoyed the olives, cauliflower, and Calabrian Porchetta. Four stars because I didn't find the service to be all that friendly, but maybe it was just the night... Note: Beer and wine only - not a full bar.

Yelp
Fantastic meal... but where are the veggies? Love it, wonderful, so tasty. The place has a great vibe, small and quaint and warm - they really have done it well. The service was on point, not overly concerned but always there when you needed them. We enjoyed the bruschetta for the opener and, well, wow! The apple slivers that came on them were so clever and really added just the right touch of citrus. Love the creativity there! The mains were the carbonara and the tarajin, made up of mushroom ragu, sage, parmigiano reggiano. So delicious! There were only two semi-gripes I'd share. First, we lacked the opportunity to have some vegetables a part of the entrees we ordered. Seems like they could have easily incorporated some into the plates and/or as sides. Second, there are very few NA options from the bar. They have a lot of great cocktails - how about offering some of those without booze for those who prefer that approach? Anyhow, we'll be back for sure!

Michele S.

Yelp
Food was excellent and service was good. Are at the bar. Will not go back due to the ridiculous "health and wellness charge". Hurts your own staff since people tip them less. I don't even like the 5% charge many restaurants now charge in Minneapolis. 15%+ is just simply outrageous. .

Yelp
I love the terzo side window they have during the day. Their porchetta sandwiches are fantastic and They've never disappointed. The bread is perfect and there's lots of olive oil that's soaked into it and the meat is just perfect. I love this place. Check it out during lunchtime around the side of the main entrance they have a nice little patio too! Go check out my Instagram at goodeatsminneapolis!

Yelp
I feel kind of bad, cause this place definitely puts in the effort and a couple things did shine through, but ultimately ... 3 stars :/ I will start with the good. The porchetta is great, not great enough to pull it up to 4 stars, but very solid. I would order anything off this part of the menu. Also, the wines are cool. The Orange wine they have is one of my favorite go to wines at the liquor store as it has a strong dry flavor for not a lot of $$$. Also also, the arancini are great, but so are most fried balls. The service is also very good except one mix up in the order that was corrected as fast as possible. The rest of the food was somewhere between ok and bad, with the worst culprit being the Tajarin pasta. Isn't this supposed to be a pasta place?! This was literal garbage. First Tajarin is a flat pasta, so it should not be round like this one. Second, it was all over cooked and glued together like... BAD PASTA! The gravy was also over salted. The table thought the walleye was somewhere between meh and OK. And I think they were going for a traditional picatta, but it lacked seasoning and had a cooked in onion flavor or something. It was OK. If you only have 2 entrees, they should be great! After looking at the pictures and reviews from pre-covid, maybe this place has just gone downhill, but we ordered a lot of items and I can confidently say that Terzo is a 3 star place. That being said, if you order the orange wine and a porchetta dish, you will be be happy and full.

Yelp
Nestled on a bustling corner with several adjacent restaurants, Terzo sticks out for its great curb appeal. With a quaint patio decorated with greenery and string lights, this is a place that makes you want to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. I met a friend for drinks and apps on a beautiful Tuesday night and the patio was completely full. They offered a short and simple menu which included cheeses, salamis, a couple of salads and main courses. The food choices were all cohesive and the menu read nicely. We tried the Gorgonzola and Pecorino cheeses, both were great. We also ordered the chips and aioli which was also delicious-I mean what could be bad about crispy chips and two ailois (one spicy and one traditional)?! The only downfall for me was the service. The wine list and environment will lure me back but the server was slow and inattentive. I waited for a long time and eventually had to leave without getting to order another glass of wine because it took so long for him to come back to us. Disappointing part to an otherwise nice experience.

Yelp
As soon as I found out Terzo was related to Broder's it immediately got added to my bucket list. Finally made it here when family was visiting and the food was phenomenal. Service was a little slow but I would absolutely recommend this place for food. They have a great wine list for both glasses and bottles. The bottle we ordered was out of stock but the sommelier quickly brought a comparable wine. We ordered the ravioli as a starter and it was to die for. The mushrooms and walnuts gave it some texture and I could have ordered this for my main dish and not shared with anyone else. For our entrees we got the scallops and pork loin piccata. Scallops are one of my favorite seafood dishes and I'm picky about how they are prepared. These were cooked perfectly, seared but not too overdone. The cauliflower and grapefruit were very interesting fillers but surprisingly good pairing. The piccata was enjoyable but very traditional piccata dish with butter and capers. I will definitely be coming back to try the porchetteria sandwich walk up window this summer!

Yelp
Three of us recently enjoyed a lovely meal. We started with the chef's treat, heirloom tomato bites, then Octopus Bruschetta appetizer, followed by the King Crab Stringozzi, with the main courses of Blueberry Risotto and the Branzino. We shared the chocolate layered mousse and peach custard desserts. The Risotto wins the surprisingly delicious award and the King Crab Stringozzi takes the sneakiest heat of the night category. The Branzino was comforting if you're a fish eater. It was served in an amazingly savory broth that we soaked up w bread - so yummy! Our server was excellent; she guided us masterfully with options & possibilities, listening, answering questions, offering her astutely formed recommendations. If I could rate only our server, this would have been a 5.0. The food was exceptionally prepared, with the exception of the desserts. They're prepared offsite and were lacking relative to the rest of an amazing meal. Come prepared to spend some $. We're not wine or beer drinkers & our travel ended up around $40-$50 per person.

Yelp
What an incredible dinning experience. Each course built well upon the last and loved every minute of it. My favorite thing about the whole meal was how the beef tongue was cooked to be just crispy enough but when you completely bit through it was like extinguishing a candle, something I've never had happen with food. This is a different italian restaurant than most as it focuses on a specific region, so come prepared to be sure to pair your meal with with either a beer or wine. I also highly recommend just ask questions about everything on the menu, the staff was excellent and will help lead you through the menu. And if you're on a tighter budget for a meal, I didn't have it, but the porchetta sandwiches I'm sure would please anyone.

Yelp
Terzo has changed since some of the older reviews so please read on! Terzos menu is now split between a bar menu and a 3-course menu. The bar menu has starter bites and a variety of pork sandwiches. The 3-course menu has their food split between salad, pasta, and entree. The past section has the option for a small plate or entree size. I found the menu to be a bit confusing, especially since you get the bar menu even when not sitting at the bar. Our table ordered some bites off the bar menu, the Beet and Farro salad, Risotto, and Chestnut Pappardelle. And we stuck around for the chocolate cake. The pasta is fresh and very flavorful and I would highly recommend anything from this session. My favorite was the Red Wine Risotto. The salad was a little on the small side and was a bit overpowering with the horseradish. It was good, but I wouldn't get it again. The bar bites were delicious although I can't remember what we go. The chocolate cake we had for dessert was served with 3 different sauces (apricot jam, chocolate mousse, and something else). It was absolutely delicious and my only complaint was that the serving was small (like the size of a brownie). I definitely wanted more. The space is small so I would recommend making reservations if going on a weekend. It's a cute spot for a nicer date night, but they also have larger tables for bigger groups. The bar is spacious and looks like a nice place to grab a glass of wine after work. Terzo is certainly worth a visit for many occasions.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner at Terzo. We sat at the bar and the bartenders and servers were very friendly, helpful and service was great. They were out of many wines on the menu which was disappointing but the food did not disappoint. I enjoyed the butternut squash soup and the beet risotto. Both amazing and bursts of flavor. Everything was wonderful until the check arrived. They charged a 15% wellness/health (or whatever they are calling it or disguising it as, these days). Never saw it on the menu although I'm guessing it was likely there in very tiny print but it was clearly stated on the check and highlighted along with a small card attempting to explain/justify it. We talked to our waitress/bartender and told her that we genuinely appreciated the wonderful service and knew that she would not benefit from the added non-negotiable charge, but that we felt it was egregious and the owners (Broders Restaurant Group) should just honestly and transparently raise the menu prices -Then diners would be able to make their own choices. I still tipped her 20% on top of the 15% fee (total of 35% of the food bill before fee and taxes) but told her she should pass on the complaint and that sadly we would not be back until the 15% fee was eliminated. Left feeling deceived, taken advantage of and disappointed. * BUYER BEWARE - 15% ADDED FEE TO BILLS BEFORE TIP - NON NEGOTIABLE. *

Yelp
I walked into this place as the Broder's around the corner had a long wait time; and I was so happy I did. The menu was limited but eclectic. Service was prompt. The ambiance on the patio was pleasant. And before the food they brought out these cute tomatoes with basil and balsamic vinegar that totally got our appetite up! We had the spaghetti and torchio for our main course. We capped it off with the stonefruit dessert which was just perfect with respect to size and sweetness; the presentation was a plus.

Yelp
I visited Terzo with my partner earlier this month, and we absolutely loved it. We started with the lemon ricotta bread appetizer. Then, I had the risotto and my partner had the game hen. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and the ambience. We were seated in the exterior dining area, which was surprisingly warm and comfortable. I would absolutely make Terzo a regular in our restaurant rotation!

Yelp
Ordered porchetta sandwiches and some arancini for curbside pickup. Husband had the Calabrian, I had the rapini and the kid had the plain porchetta sandwich. All three were absolutely delicious and very different from one another. It's worth noting, these sandwiches are big and messy, so maybe ask for sauces on the side if you're planning on eating in the car! So good, we'll be back!

Yelp
Try the porchetta sandwiches from the side window during their lunch hours!! So yummy. They're full of flavor and packed with meat.

Yelp
I have been here a couple times. It is a quaint restaurant in South Minneapolis with an intimate, romantic feel. Our server was polite and knowledgeable. The wine was fantastic, as were the chips and dips. My boyfriend got a porchetta sandwich, which he died for, but oddly, it did not come with chips or a side as I thought it did. I got the vegetarian polenta, which gave me warm fuzzies. Overall, a great place for date night or drinks + apps!

Yelp
Ordered the mushroom porchetta and it was out of this world good. Had a nice wine selection, and the desserts were also tasty. I would go back again.

Yelp
I came here the other night and ordered a dirty martini--the waiter misunderstood and brought me a lemon twist happens, it's whatever I've worked in bars and restaurants so I get a misunderstanding or a little mistake; but they bring it I say oh I ordered a dirty martini with olives, the waitress says she'll bring the right drink. The bartender then comes to the table and is like "what was the issue" I say well I ordered a gin dirty martini not a lemon twist anyways we're there thirty minutes I never get my drink (they bring me three lemon twist martinis and then a dirty martini I saw them just take the lemon out of and serve with an olive) anyways we're there 30 minutes they never bring the person I was with their drink, never took any appetizer orders and it was just the rudest service I've ever experienced. I'm obviously upset about the martini (if you don't know how to make it all good just say that) but besides that the staff was rude, inattentive to the person I was with, even if they didn't like me at least bring the drink my friend ordered. But 30 minutes our server came once, staff was rude and can't make a dirty martini....I would recommend avoiding at all costs unless your kink is rude 45 year old bartenders who don't know what they're doing then enjoy this spot.

Yelp
Very excited to find Terzo! Charming wine bar with perfectly sized and wonderfully flavorful food. Jim behind the bar was one of the most passionate and knowledgeable bar tenders I've seen regarding wine. Highly recommend the cheese plate, great pairings and a very reasonable price. Loved how the portions were not overly large, just the perfect size so you leave feeling satisfied.

Yelp
My wife and I heard about their porchetta sandwich from her brother, so I ordered a Pryze IPA and the truffle and mushroom porchetta. AMAZING Both the beer and the sandwich. I would have liked the house made chips warm, but they were pretty good. #Edinaproblems.Get the porchetta sandwich, it was really great!

Yelp
Decided to stop here with a friend for a glass of wine. We sat at the bar, and were able to chat a bit with the bar tender, as well as the General Manager...of course, two glasses later, it was sadly time to leave. (could've had more!) After the interaction with them, and the appearance of the food that was coming out of the kitchen, I would love to come back and try their food. As a world traveler, this place definitely has a world class feel. Would be an ideal for a date night, or maybe a great business meeting place.

Yelp
Was on a quick visit to the twin cities and stopped in at Terzo on the fam's recommendation. YUM! From appetizers to entrees I was impressed. My daughter even said this maybe her new fav restaurant and we had just returned from Italy! We started with homemade potato chips and stuffed peppers for the table and I couldn't get enough of either. My ravioli and squash entree was full of flavor with a creamy cheese filling. My daughters mushroom ragu pasta was earthy but not overly so as I don't even love mushrooms. Neither of us are meat eaters so we couldn't comment on the pork sandwiches - their specialty - but their vegetarian items were worth a second (or third) trip.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite Italian restaurant in the Twin Cities! The food is phenomenal and the service is great. I recommend the Risotto and the scallops! Not to mention there are dozens of wine choices all of which are pretty tasty.

Yelp
This is the second time I have had take-out from Terzo during the pandemic (although they are serving indoors now!). My porchetta bowl is fabulous, but my friend's FULL order of two 3" porchetta ravioli is not a value. My bowl must have weighed 3 or 3.5#, but seriously...2 ravioli for $20? Can't go back.

Yelp
Terzo never disappoints! Homemade pastas, fresh ingredients, and a modern environment.
