Tesco Superstore

Went to till to make a purchase with cash card and club card points but club card points not working so a higher member of staff help navigate the situation there is still generosity out there. Thank you so much to that staff member I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name.

Friendly staff who are willing to help, lots of choice of food and other groceries. Good value, especially with Tesco clubcard and quite well laid out, plus plenty of space between shelves Layout of fruit and vegetables could be improved to make it easier to navigate and more space between checkouts would be handy and we couldn't find a toilet but in general has everything most people need for weekly grocery shopping and is reasonably wheelchair accessible.

Large well stocked supermarket, helpful staff. Don't forget to bring your club card as the Meal Deal is 50 pence cheaper when you have it.

If I could rate lower I would. Today this store decided, without any public notice, to close for so called "maintenance". However the behaviour of all but one staff was EXTREMELY poor. Staff were repeatedly harassing all customers in the shop to go to the till (despite the fact that there was no notice of said closing 2 hours early today and were not apologetic at all). Further, upon going up to the till, a specific member was extremely discriminatory. Both myself and my husband are wheelchair users. She could see that we had a trolley full of items (as my mum had gone to get some bread) and repeatedly trying to force us into self-service and tills at the complete other side of the store, with no regard for the fact that we are far from able-bodied and did not even offer to help. She was complaining to others about us and another staff member and her just watched us really struggle and it was only when I asked if they were going to help out their disabled customers that one (very unhappily) finally pushed the trolley for us. The Ableist staff member then started trying to throw items on the conveyor belt and could easily have broken the food items we were trying to buy. The whole deal made us all feel extremely uncomfortable. The only thing that saved this review was the one staff member on entrance/exit who was extremely apologetic. Would not recommend or shop here again. -50/10.

The store is well kept and stocked. The parking definitely can be tight and tense with people queuing for spots at times.

Called into the main Tesco superstore today as so many items you can't get in the express stores now around our island.....We couldn't find some items but helpful staff who pointed us in the right direction so got what we were in for . The chap on the till very friendly he was achatty older man who was quick getting our items through and made shopping in store a nicer experience.....

If I could rate lower I would. At the self service checkouts an Asian female member of staff interupted me mid checkout and put 2 bags on on my checkout even though they were from home. Abysmal service on her part she should be fired! On the other hand the man who greets people at the door was lovely

Today they decided without warning anyone to close for apparently maintenance. My guess is they wanted to watch the Euros game. The behaviour of of most staff was very poor. Staff were repeatedly harassing customers to go to the till, no apologies. I also witnessed one older female staff member with grey hair in a pony tail harassing two disabled men in wheelchairs. She could see they had a trolley full of items and tried to force them into self-service and tills at the complete other side of the store, with no regard for the fact that they are disabled and did not even offer to help. Another staff member just watched them struggle and did not offer to help at all. When they finally did, the staff were forcefully throwing items on the conveyor belt. Awful behaviour in 2024! Don't shop here.
