Tesiny is a great new addition to the Passyunk neighborhood, everything I had was outstanding!
The ambiance is upscale and perfect for a date night, celebrations, etc. Tables are properly spaced out so you aren’t on top of the people next to you. There’s ample bar seating as well.
We started with the tuna crudo. It was so buttery and smooth in a coconut sauce. I’ve never had such great crudo! Delicious. We then had the shrimp cocktail, which I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I did. The shrimp were huge and so fresh. Accompanied by herb aioli and horseradish creme fraiche, the sauces elevated it that much more.
The broiled oysters are an absolute must order. We put the sauces from the shrimp cocktail on top, combined with the calabrian chili butter… wow. The perfect slurp. The chicken lollipops also stood out to us. They have a crispy shell but the most tender fall off the bone chicken inside. The tomato hot sauce it’s coated in is unique as well.
The crispy red potatoes were so crunchy and a great vessel for the whitefish aioli + trout roe. The iberico pork was good, but not a standout dish for me personally. I’m not a huge pork eater though, so keep that in mind.
We finished with the olive oil cake and lanternfly drink. The olive oil cake was less dense than others I’ve had, which by this time we were so full, so that was appreciated. The lanternfly drink is basically a mint milkshake with alcohol… refreshing!!!
Overall, this restaurant is such a gem. I will absolutely be coming back and can confidently say this was one of the best meals I’ve had.
