Tesiny

Tesiny is a great new addition to the Passyunk neighborhood, everything I had was outstanding! The ambiance is upscale and perfect for a date night, celebrations, etc. Tables are properly spaced out so you aren’t on top of the people next to you. There’s ample bar seating as well. We started with the tuna crudo. It was so buttery and smooth in a coconut sauce. I’ve never had such great crudo! Delicious. We then had the shrimp cocktail, which I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I did. The shrimp were huge and so fresh. Accompanied by herb aioli and horseradish creme fraiche, the sauces elevated it that much more. The broiled oysters are an absolute must order. We put the sauces from the shrimp cocktail on top, combined with the calabrian chili butter… wow. The perfect slurp. The chicken lollipops also stood out to us. They have a crispy shell but the most tender fall off the bone chicken inside. The tomato hot sauce it’s coated in is unique as well. The crispy red potatoes were so crunchy and a great vessel for the whitefish aioli + trout roe. The iberico pork was good, but not a standout dish for me personally. I’m not a huge pork eater though, so keep that in mind. We finished with the olive oil cake and lanternfly drink. The olive oil cake was less dense than others I’ve had, which by this time we were so full, so that was appreciated. The lanternfly drink is basically a mint milkshake with alcohol… refreshing!!! Overall, this restaurant is such a gem. I will absolutely be coming back and can confidently say this was one of the best meals I’ve had.

My husband and I went here for a date night and the restaurant was absolutely incredible! The food was decadent, delicious, and well balanced. I got a glass of wine and my husband got a cocktail. The drinks complimented the meal well. We tried the seafood platter, wagyu steak, and iberico pork. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned deliciously. I couldn't help but notice all of the attention to details from the kitchen staff and servers. Our table was wiped in between dishes, our napkins were folded when we left our seat, and the dishes were presented eloquently. Of course, we also had to get dessert! I was so happy with our time here!

New upscale neighborhood restaurant. Amazing decor. Menu had a lot of creative items. Chicken lollipops was 🌶 so avoid if you can't handle 🔥. Perfect for date night or a nice bite with your friends. There is plenty of bar seats if you just want to grab a drink.

We had a great meal here! The drinks were delicious and unique. We ordered the small plateau, octopus, and roasted potatoes. Everything was amazing. Our favorite touch was the house made hot sauce. Nice ambiance and attentive servers. We will be back!

What a spot! We wandered in on a Friday night, and the atmosphere was buzzing. Everything was elegant yet perfectly unpretentious. We managed to snag the last two seats at the bar and enjoyed selections from the cocktail menu, wine list, and dinner menu. The service team is clearly well-trained and passionate about what they do. Most importantly, the food was the star of the show. The menu is a great size, with a really nice variety of dishes. Highlights included the tuna crudo and the wagyu steak with fried oysters, but honestly, there wasn’t a single miss. Highly recommend Tesiny to others, and we can’t wait to head back ourselves.

Tesiny was an excellent dinner experience. It's a bit out of the way in South Philly and I think I would describe it as a high end raw bar that grills up a few mains and has basically any alcoholic beverage you could want from cocktail to aperitif. The food, service and atmosphere were all 5 star during our experience. I try and eat at different restaurants to experience new things, but I will be back to Tesiny. I would even order the same exact items over potentially trying something new, that's how good it was. It is a smaller resturant with limited seating so reservations were hard to come by. There is walk in seating at the bar, but during our dinner every seat at the bar was full. They were also eating dinner so turnover wasnt immediate. I look forward to eating here again.

A beautiful new restaurant with lots of kinks to be worked out as far as service goes. Tuna Crudo was excellent however the Scallop Crudo lacked acid and seasoning. The oysters were served too late in the meal. We were confused how dishes were served out of order in relation to the menu as is traditional in most restaurants. At one point we had 5 dishes in front of us and wish it was coursed better. The Tomato Salad was delicious and flavorful. The Octopus was good and had some heat on it! The Chicken Lollipop was so spicy and felt out of place comparatively to the rest of the meal. Having the lollipop and one of their signature cocktails at the same time does not feel like a great pairing. Overall hopeful for this local spot. Hope to come back in the coming months when kinks are worked out.

Very nice lineup for the menu. Every dish is well thought of and appointed. You can get an all around meal here in a nice vibe. But I can’t name a dish that is too impressive.
