Elon Musk’s Old Tesla Drive-in Restaurant Idea Might Actually Happen - Eater LA

"Remember that odd story about Tesla opening an 'old-school drive-in, roller skates and rock restaurant at one of the new supercharger locations in Los Angeles?' The one that got a bunch of attention back in 2018 simply because Musk tweeted about it? Well, as it turns out, the restaurant might be real soon. Truthfully, there hasn’t been much movement around Elon Musk’s idea in the past 36 months, besides hints that the project would be west of the 405. But then, just last week, the sometimes world’s richest man filed a trademark for just such a restaurant service, sparking renewed interest in the supercharger station and diner combo. Elektrek reported Tesla’s filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office, which seeks to use its name and logo for 'restaurant services;' the company also submitted new building applications this year. Back when Eater LA first reported on this story, the Tesla charging station/restaurant was bound for Santa Monica Boulevard and 14th Street in a former car dealer space, so there’s still a chance it comes true out that way. If completed, it would perhaps be the largest electric vehicle charging station in LA County." - Mona Holmes

I love this charging station the most because there’s so many stalls, Restrooms are kept clean and there’s vending machines inside the small building onsite. Con ; As shown on the picture is now Homeless people are entering the small building that is meant for the Tesla Owners community. A key password is needed to enter the shack but people are being to nice to the public and letting in random people inside.

About 50 Tesla chargers here ( eye estimate) A lot are in the shaded area and a lot of them are not There's a vending machine area, but I'm not sure if the vending machine area is open 24/7. You have to search for a bathroom

Pulled up to this Tesla Supercharger with 2% battery left and even less hope. Charging speed? —basically a pit stop in a Formula 1 race, but instead of tires, I’m charging eco-futurism.

The new expansion provides a lot of additional chargers. It’s can get busy here. Has a Tesla bathroom with snack and beverage machine. Need to use your Tesla App to get the code that opens the door.

Best charger in all of los Angeles Tesla network. Lower prices than other super chargers in the area and has a restroom for customers only. There is over fifty stalls and I’ve never had to wait for one. Makes me feel better that it is fully or partially powered by the sun since the PV cells double as a rooftop. Excellent charging station!

Nice clean bathrooms in a small Tesla building accessible by access code found in either the Tesla App or on the car’s console computer. A couple vending machines have drinks available ($2.25 for a Pepsi) and snacks like salads ($10.50-12) and tapioca pudding($6.50).

There is a guy hawking car washes here the last two times I’ve. One to charge and he directs drivers to park right next to others .. slowing down charging time. I asked him not to do that but he seems to think he has that right.

There are plenty of charging stations for the car, but what bothers me is that it's getting expensive. The prices to charge the Tesla keep going up. Soon, it’s going to cost the same as gas.
