The Best Asian Snacks, Candy, and Dumplings at Teso Life | Eater Atlanta

"This Japanese department-store-style retailer on Pleasant Hill Road draws long opening-day lines—often stoked by social media—and is part of a rapidly expanding chain that first debuted in Queens about six years ago. Inside is a treasure trove of eclectic Asian beauty products, toys, and household goods from Japan, Korea, and China, but the real crowd-pleasers are the snacks and drinks: an aisle of unconventional potato-chip flavors (fried crab with garlic and chili, flame-grilled ribeye steak, spicy hot pot with Sichuan peppercorn, and even sour lemon braised chicken-foot–inspired chips), shelves of Kit Kats in melon and ice-cream flavors, every imaginable Pocky, Hello Panda bite-sized cookies with gooey fillings, Hello Kitty marshmallows with matcha jelly, and fruity gummies in yuzu, peach, and lychee. Wall-to-wall refrigerated drinks include Chupa Chups sparkling waters (strawberry & cream, melon & cream, orange, grape), Japanese canned coffees like Pokka Milk Coffee Gold, Suntory Black Boss, and UCC Matcha Latte, plus novelty beverages such as Matcha Love energy drink and gummy boba latte drinks in matcha and taro. The freezer/refrigerated section is built for quick meals—Nippon Gourmet Berkshire pork soup dumplings that heat in two minutes, takoyaki (minced-octopus balls), prepped tonkotsu seafood ramen, and desserts like a slice of Orange Brand mille-crepe vanilla cake—and the store also assembles themed gift baskets combining sweet and savory favorites." - Susie Chow

Google
Overall We stopped by TESOLife to walk around and digest after a meal, and it was a nice browsing experience. Clean, tidy, and service was satisfactory. Just know it’s more of an “experience store” than a value store. Selection and focus They have a wide variety of items inspired by different parts of Asia, mostly Japan and China, with very few items that felt specifically Korean. The store basically falls into three main buckets: • Cosmetics and beauty • Snacks • Kitchen tools and small home goods Price and value It’s overpriced for what it is. I wouldn’t come here expecting deals. I’d only buy something if you really want a specific item or you’re paying for the convenience and curated environment. Cleanliness and service The store was clean, well organized, and the overall environment felt polished. Service level was good and the shopping experience felt smooth. Who I recommend it for Best for people who: • Want a tidy, curated intro to East Asian style goods (beauty, snacks, kitchen gadgets) • Enjoy browsing in a nicer environment • Are okay paying extra for convenience and presentation Who should skip it Skip if you’re price sensitive or want authentic specialty items at a good value. You’ll likely find better pricing elsewhere. Would I return? Maybe, if I’m killing time and want a clean, curated store to browse. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to shop here for value.

Google
Stumbled across this store, trying to find something similar to Daiso- but when we went here this was amazing! It was so bright and clean. It was incredible to see it having everything you can imagine for snacks, drinks, toys, household products, health and personal care for such low prices at great quality. This is the first TESO Life we have been at, so we spent about 2 hours here. But it felt like we still had more to explore. Wish I took better pictures but we were overwhelmed how much there was! Loved this place.

Google
I love this store, so many goods from Asian countries! And it's the only store I've found that has strawberry mushroom candy. Its very bright in there and it was packed with people, but the line to check out still moves pretty fast, the employees definitely know what they're doing.

Google
LOVE this store! I have always wanted to go to Japan with my husband, but with kids and all their activities, that plan took a back seat a bit. With TESO Life, I feel like I can live a little fantasy and whisk myself away to Japan for an hour! So many awesome products we don't get in the United States, and prices are reasonable with no crazy import fees or anything yet. I really enjoy finding a new treat everytime I'm there!

Google
I’ve been to multiple Teso life locations in New York, this Teso Life IS HUGE. They have an amazing selection of products and at great prices too. I was amazed by how large this Teso is and they even have some pop mart blind boxes. Easy to spend hours here. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Google
This was our first time here. I came looking for a particular snack item a friend had purchased here, but unfortunately, they were out of that item. We were OK with that, because we were still like two kids in a candy store. This is an Asian-based store, and appears to have a large selection of condiments, sauces, foods, and snacks, as well as cookware & dishes. Also, there's a large selection of other items.

Jim V.

Google
Great store with lots of various items. Snacks, drinks, toiletries, hair care, face care, home goods etc.... There's also crane games to play here as well. Tokens for them are available at the check out counter for purchase. Store is very organized and clean. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby to explore. Expect it to be busy during the weekend and bring a cooler in case you live far and purchase any of their frozen goods. Bring ice too.

Google
I’ve been multiple times, since it’s early days, and there are so many great things I could say about this place. They have SOOO MANY BLIND BAGS AND BLIND BOXES, this is basically a sanctuary for them, lots of toys, plushies, and even a couple of claw machines you can play to see if you can snag yourself a prize. They sell home products, snacks, candy, food, skincare, makeup, stationery, so many basic things you’d like to see all in one place. The employees here are friendly and lovely, when checking out they give you a tote bag rather than plastic, how thoughtful to consider the Earth. When you get it, be sure to reuse that bag, it’s real handy! This shop has imports from Japan, so if you’d like to stop on by and try a couple of authentic Japanese products, I’d always recommend this place. (Unfortunately, I always forget to take photos, so I have none, but the place is always gleaming with colors and brightness).

Yelp
This place can be overwhelming. As the crowd has dissipated it's still pretty packed! There is staff but there's no greeting they do just stand there and stare at you as you're walking or trying to figure out what things are. Prices aren't bad just depends on what you're looking for or willing to try. Of course if you've been overseas to a lot of the original countries it's cheaper but this store has household items down to beer and ice cream face creams and laundry baskets. Definitely worth checking out to browse and look around and cute spot to find gifts!

Yelp
This is a great store for Japanese snacks and other goodies! They have everything from kitchen ware to skin care to blind boxes. Spend time browsing and you never know what you'll find. The prices are pretty decent, too. There are frozen foods, sake, lots of candy, and you can even play some claw machines too! Get the tokens at the front cashier (there's a separate line for them). Note that if you come on a Saturday afternoon, be patient and expect long lines to checkout.
google avatar

April L.

Yelp
Teso in Atlanta, super cute. They have all kind of Japanese and Korean stuff. If you are looking for blind boxes, they have plenty.
google avatar

Yvette M.

Yelp
Finally made it to the new Teso Life near me! I have never been to one and it was fantastic! It's Iike IKEA meets Sephora meets the Japan Pavillion at Epcot! There is less food selection than H Mart and no food court, but they do a selection of drinks and snacks. A big portion has skin care, beauty, housewares and much more. I will definitely return for more!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing store for Japanese products and novelties! They have everything from makeup, to kitchen items, to ramen, but I was most excited about the green apple Fanta drink; I tasted it at the World of Coca Cola last year and I've been on the hunt for it ever since. So glad to finally fin it here, along with Oreo flavored Coke (can confirm, the flavor name is accurate). The toys and novelty items are also a great draw. Prices and selection are much better here than at typical chains or the import stores you will find in a mall. I'll be back; gotta venture OTP to get my green apple Fanta fix!
google avatar

Cecilia B.

Yelp
A must visit if you are in the Duluth area. Teso life offers a range of beauty and skincare products. There is also a variety of snacks and homegoods. All the products are priced decently. The store is very well organized. The only issue I had was trying to find a worker to help me look for products. The store tends to be busy during the afternoon I went. But overall great finds and the staff were super friendly.
google avatar

Cindy R.

Yelp
When you walk into Teso you walk into Japan. A different world, a different feeling. It's a mix of Asian brands, stationary items, the hottest facial items in Asian at the moment, food, games and much more. A one stop shop for all things Kawaii!!! Decently priced and pretty packed Everytime I go. I have found some of my favorite candy there just strolling the lines. Every time I am in the area I crave to come in! Stop in and be sucked into another world!
google avatar

Sherry C.

Yelp
Fantastic store for common Japanese products and novelties. My kid likes to come here to get his instant ramen fix. The toys and novelty items are also a great draw. Prices and selection are much better here than at typical chains or the import stores you will find in a mall. I have never had a need to look for service but the line for the registers always moves fast and the staff working them is happy to help and recommend other local stores which can fill needs they can't. For example I mentioned looking for a gift of pens and paper for a young artist in my family and they recommended I check out a stationery store in the area (which is reputed to be very good but I've yet to have the opportunity to visit) then advised me of the other stores' hours. One word of warning.. and the reason I removed one star: This store will not allow you to use restrooms. Not sure why, it seems a rather inhumane choice. There are many people (pregnant people springs to mind) who have various medical conditions which require more frequent use of restrooms. Choosing to not allow customers to use their restrooms is a choice that says those people should not exist in public.
google avatar

Yelp
Sometimes I come here for Japanese snacks and blind boxes. It's not bad! It feels like Japan meets Georgia lol! They have really cool stuff from kitchen ware to skin care too. It's a while experience. There are even crane games too which gives that old sega tower feel before it disappeared in Akihabara. Sometimes they have pop mart items l, but in lower my expectations because of how nuts people are about it sometimes. They do sell out of blind boxes items. It's a good value and cool place overall.
google avatar

Briana N.

Yelp
I always love to stop by Teso, even if I don't plan on buying anything. There are just so many things to look at and be entertained with. I love that that have so many different blind boxes. (But I wish they had smiskis.) And this sentiment goes for any aisle they have really. I love that they have so many snacks, so many household items, so much stationary, the list goes on and on. What I don't love is that they'll have such a long line of people waiting to check out. But not all the cash register are being used. And a bunch of employees are just standing around doing nothing. I would understand if they were restocking or something or at least looked busy. But that didn't seem to be the case.
google avatar

Yelp
Teso Life is still a very great location to shop at. They have claw-games, toys, and very useful household items! Unfortunately I have to say that I am beginning to see a decrease in the quality of their customer service. Especially for the cashier area. I tried to return some items I bought the same day, just a few minutes ago, I was told "no." (If you're wondering why, it is because I was short of $10 away from one of their freebie packs, therefore I asked if I can just add 10 tokens to my total or refund everything and have them recharge me with the 10 tokens to meet the minimum total.) Upon me asking why, the girl at the front said there is no refund... despite there being a sign that states a 14-day refund policy. Long story short, she had to call a manager to the front, and just for the manager to decide on just charging me 19 tokens and provide me with a freebie bag. Quite literally a solution I've provided to the girl. Either way, despite the entire situation being mishandled, I told her "sorry for the troubles, but thank you" just to be met with a cold shoulder. At this point, this entire interaction just made me feel like Teso does not really train their employees and that I should seriously consider other lifestyle stores.

Yelp
FINALLY! A place that has my favorite items from Japan! The only thing they're missing is the chicken galbi Doritos from South Korea!
google avatar

Liz B.

Yelp
Selection is really good. They periodically change out their products offered so to keep up with trends. Staff is helpful and really organized. I would not recommend going here on the weekend since they get packed!!
google avatar

Brian X.

Yelp
A great selection of japanese products. Compared to daiso, but with more varied products that make up a typical department store such as beauty products, grocery, kitchen ware, bathroom products, toys, etc. The variations are good and it's a clean store. I think the prices are comparable to online prices. The cashier's and employees are receptive to your questions.

Tara C.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this store! It reminds me of Daiso but bigger. My 14 year old loves Hello Kitty so she fell in love when we went there and saw all the hello kitty products. They also had different flavors of lays and Pringle chips that you don't see in the states & everything is fairly priced as well. We will definitely be back!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute little store of Japanese items! I loved Japan when I visited, and having this store is great. I introduced a friend to Teso Life, and her eyes popped with all the cutesy items and yummy snacks. Some items could be pricy. But there are sales around where you can get it at a decent cost. There's an array of items from health and beauty, drinks (alcohol included) and snacks, organizers, dishware, stationary, and everything in between. I really enjoyed browsing the variety of chip flavors and candy not found in the U.S. There are always something you might have missed even if you've been here before. The shelves were just packed with sooo many things. If you have time to kill, this is the place to be. There were even claw machines at the front with plushies. It's a cute store. That's all I can say.
google avatar

Huie N.

Yelp
Would you like to look like a cloned version of yourself but much younger, less wrinkly, and a lil shrunken? Now's your chance, at Teso, pick up the Pokémon Mew Face mask. While it dries, have a rare candy and watch and feel your transformation happen!
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
Teso Life is one of my favorite places to shop for adorable rice bowls, small plates, and chopsticks. They're always getting new things in, you can see employees stocking shelves on any given day, and the selection changes quite a bit! And the prices are so reasonable, too! Most rice bowls are under $5! And you get a reusable tote as your shopping bag when you ring up, they have different sizes depending on your purchases.
google avatar

Pookie X.

Yelp
I got all these goodies from Teso! I can't wait to go back and explore the whole store! Come back for my review! :)

Yelp
I'm glad we have a Teso in the Atlanta metro area! The selection of products, especially skincare, is amazing but a little overwhelming if you go in without a plan. I wish they'd spread the more popular sections around the store a little better because some areas get REALLY crowded and hard to navigate. Overall it's a fun store with really unique products

Nghi

Yelp
I am from California and was just happened to spend a short few days here in Georgia. I've heard that the Korean community here Duluth is one of the biggest here in United States and decided to give it a try. I stumbled upon this store when I was scrolling around in the area. At first, I thought this store is small at first, but upon entry, I realized it was the biggest Asian beauty store that I've ever been too ( yes it is bigger than most K-beauty stores in LA/ OC area). They have a great inventory of Asian makeup, skincare, snacks, and most surprisingly, lots of blind boxes. The price is also surprisingly affordable for the quality of the stocked products. The employees are all very kind and informative too! Overall, this store is great if you are looking for Asian snacks, makeup, toys, and skincare!

Yelp
--Location/Parking-- Easy location near the 85 on the upper east side of Atlanta. Plenty of parking since there are other business within the lot. I recommend parking farther away from the business since it can get busy with people walking in and out. --Ambience-- A mismatch of a toy store, department store, drug store and a mini grocery store. There are even arcade claw machines in the front right of the store. I guess in Japan these lifestyle stores are common. Great for an Otaku fan. I went on the Tuesday night, an hour before closing they were crowded at that time. --Service/Staff-- Staff was friendly and were in the high-school, 1st year college range. They kept the cashier line moving efficiently. --Food/Products-- Items were in Japanese; I did see several Japanese food items that I could not find anywhere else. They have a large variety of Japanese snacks, cosmetics, and model toy selection --Capacity-- Plenty of space, typical department store, but I came within the opening months and the aisles were a bit crowded. --Overall-- I would be back if I have a craving for certain Japanese snacks. The drive is a bit for me because of the location and I have a similar Japanese market, which is not as big close by.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite Japanese lifestyle store of all time! I visited here to stock up on a variety of Japanese snacks, but ended up leaving with Health and household products as well. The selection here is so expansive so you can find whatever you need. There is something for everyone here, and the pricing is very affordable. The staff was also very helpful when I needed better explanations of what products were. If you are interested in Japanese culture, I highly recommend visiting!
google avatar

Xee V.

Yelp
I visited on a Saturday and waited in line for a good 45 mins before getting inside. I was hoping the crowd had died down since their grand opening but I was very wrong. Once inside there was also a lot of people. The aisles were very crowded and was hard to shop with a cart. Teso carries an impressive selection of Japanese products from snacks to home goods to skin care. They have a variety of cosmetic and skin care products catering to all skin types and concerns. I am planning to come back another day when there's less people in the store. Checking out took another 30 mins.
google avatar

Denise D.

Yelp
E X P E R I E N C E I came on a Monday at 1pm. Parking took me 5 mins. i walked right on in to the store. The line for check out was long to the opposite side of the check out desk, but it went by really quickly, within 5 mins. Amazing selection. wide variety: has food, snacks, beauty, home products. it's like daiso!! AND claw machines. I literally feel like I'm back in taiwan/Japan. P R I C E Overall prices are reasonable, especially for snacks and beauty. some of the plateware is definitely over priced by like $20. You will easily spend $50 here without trying hahaah everything is soo cute P A R K I N G Parking is hectic. Nobody knows how to drive over here or park. Everyone's super rude. I'd definitely not come on weekends or evenings. I hear the wait to park or get into the store takes over an hour, each.
google avatar

Brenda T.

Yelp
Grand Opening today for Teso in Duluth. We arrived around 12:30 pm and waited outside for 45 minutes to enter due to crowd control and long checkout lines averaging an hour+ wait. Teso offers a one-stop shop for Japanese products ranging from cosmetics and skincare items to kitchen products, snacks, stuffed animals and more. You'll also find a variety of frozen treats (ice cream sandwiches) and ready to eat food. Try your luck with (crane) plush toy vending machines in the corner of the store. There had to be at least a dozen of them, so it's interesting to shop for shampoo, while also hearing the occasional shriek of delight when someone scored a plush toy. I plan to return on a weekday once the crowds settle down a bit to explore the offerings. Teso was founded in 2017 and is based in Queens, NY. There are currently 11 locations and 7 opening soon, which includes this GA store.
google avatar

Marni M.

Yelp
Popped into here to check out their extensive Japanese inventory that varied from snacks, drinks, face products, and more! There's lots to look at and try. The shelves are well organized and clean. Staff helped with smiles on their faces and parking was a breeze with a large lot in front. Prices were a little high but considering a fair amount of their products are internationally sourced, it makes sense. Would come again!
google avatar

Li L.

Yelp
It was a fun place to shop for authentic snacks not usually found in the regular grocery stores. Also, if you're into trying your luck on a claw machine. There's quite a few here with really cute stuffed animals to go for.
google avatar

Debbie C.

Yelp
I shopping all the unique items you can buy here. There is a huge Hello kitty section of makeup, about 20 claw machines, get your token at the cashier, tons of unique foods like @lays ribeye potato chips, those drinks with the marbles in them kids love at hibachi places and lots of other unique items. If you love unique items, toys from Japan and Japanese foods this is the place for you! This location just open in July 2023
google avatar

Vanessa N.

Yelp
Out of all the Japanese stores that have been popping up in the area, I think this is the largest one. Teso is located in the same plaza as the Duluth Sweet Hut. You can get snacks, kitchen and bathroom items, skin care, toys, alcohol, etc. It's a nice place to wander around and buy things you didn't think/know you wanted.
google avatar

Zach S.

Yelp
Truly this store is so cool! I am not sure why the reviews are not higher, because our experience was amazing. We arrived about 10 minutes before they opened-- much to our surprise there was a line down the entire strip. Once the doors opened, the line quickly fed into the store and we didn't have to wait. While not trying to sound eurocentric, the department store most closely resembled a smaller Walmart but inside everything is Japanese. Teso Life offers anything from drinks, candies, snacks, office supplies, skincare, cosmetics, kitchen utensils, and toys. We spent nearly an hour browsing every aisle. There was a long line at the checkout; however, each register had an associate that was quick and efficient. We also paid for 4 tokens ($4) to play 2 arcade games. The entire from corner of the store is claw machines and brightly lit chance games. The machines were clean and being wiped down as we were shopping. The entire store was spotless and visibly new! We will be back!
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
What can I say....this place is HUGE. There is so much to see and buy. Do t let the line fool you, it WILL be long but they move super fast. The prices are high but if you want unique things and have fans of anime, manga, and the like GO HERE!!!
google avatar

Tori C.

Yelp
This store is lovely! It's very well organized and easy to find things. I was searching for a specific Japanese mochi candy and found it!!!! There are lot of Japanese candies that candy that is not present in other markets around Atlanta like the mochi candies. The price is a bit higher than in the country of origin for some products but that's expected because of the import. The markup is cheaper than Trying to order and shop offline. There are tons of other products like face masks, cosmetics, model car and 3d models, lovely teapot collections, plates and soup bowls, snacks, alcohol, etc. It's a very lovely store with reasonable prices for many things when compared to some online and shipping option. I'm happy they have what I need and more.
google avatar

JP G.

Yelp
Used to have fun claw machines, but they must have changed the settings to make them IMPOSSIBLE. I own a claw machine at home and have used the ones in Japan so I'm no stranger to how these should operate. TESO LIFE claw machines at this location are now a scam so there is no point in going there any more. I'll just go to H Mart instead.
google avatar

Sarena T.

Yelp
This store is a fantastic addition to Duluth! It's located in the middle of the plaza where Sweet Hut and Choong Man Chicken are. Thanks to Teso, the parking at this plaza is consistently packed. When you enter the store, you're greeted by bright UV lights and a big, spacious store. There are toys, craft kits, and claw machines at the front. To use the claw machines, you have to buy tokens at the counter. But I've heard the machines are rigged - I've been to Teso 3 times now and have never seen anyone successfully get a toy. The middle section of aisles have makeup and skincare - if this is what you're looking for, you're in paradise. There are 2 full aisles of makeup, and 2 full aisles of skincare. So many brands of makeup and trendy items. I'll be restocking some of my items at this store instead of online now. The right side of the store has a huge selection of food - chips, snacks, candy, chocolate, drinks, soju, and even frozen ice cream cones. The back aisles of the store is where you can find your home goods. The checkout line can get pretty long but it moves fairly quick. I spotted a lot of employees throughout the store, restocking items. As for prices, the items are slightly cheaper than what you would get online, so it's worth it. If you're familiar with Daiso (which doesn't have a location in Georgia yet), this store is higher end. There aren't as many inexpensive knick knacks, but bigger and higher quality items. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
I'm really glad this store is here because ATL doesn't have stores like Daiso, Muji, Miniso, Uniqlo. There are a couple Japanese grocery stores now like Wagaya grocery and Tomato, but Teso combines everything into one store. It makes it so fun to come here and peruse the latest offerings from cosmetics, skincare, home goods, cookware, toys, collectibles, snacks, and drinks! They've been changing up their claw machines too. You can exchange money for coins to play at the register in front of the store. Prices here aren't exactly low, but you'll find items you might not be able to get elsewhere. I come here to treat myself to some snacks I can't find in grocery stores and to find gifts for friends. There's tons of parking in the plaza lot, but I've noticed a lot more cars after Teso opened. You might have to park farther away and walk.
google avatar

Allison S.

Yelp
Super cute store and super nice staff! They don't have a public restroom so you have to go to a near restaurant, but everything else is amazing. So many options for everything and they even have a small corner of claw machines. It cost a dollar for a token and they have small machines for one token and bigger machines for two. Machine claw's seem a little loose because when it brings the prize to the top when you grab the stuffy, it seemed to drop every time for me when. Would go again though!
google avatar

Mackenzie H.

Yelp
They seem to have everything you could even need from cookware to snacks to hygiene products (even sexual wellness items). The store was super busy and crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Didn't even want to pick up anything to consider for purchase because the checkout line wrapped around the store and I assumed it would take 30 mins at least to check out. The store may not have expected crowds of this size but knowing how popular it is now it would be smart to reconfigure the lines to checkout so that people entering the store can make it through the doors. Would come back to explore more on a weekday maybe.

Yelp
I saw this place all over my social media and had to check it out on my visit to Atlanta! I was pleasantly overwhelmed upon coming in and didn't even know where to look first. Tons and tons of Japanese makeup brands, snacks, huge variety of blind boxes, houseware goods. I was in awe. The prices were quite reasonable and I say this because I am used to much higher prices for Asian goods so I was glad to see reasonable pricing. The service was great, super friendly staff and I will definitely be back next time.

Yelp
Teso is the newest hot thing in the Duluth area, and I can see why. Having lived in Dallas for the past year, I've already been exposed to Teso so it wasn't super WOW for me. Contrary to what many people think, Teso isn't actually Japanese -- it is Taiwanese. I'm thinking it was inspired by Japan's "Daiso." Despite not being the original brand, Teso does not lack. With locations in many states throughout the US, Teso is truly a "life store" and has everything you need, from cosmetics to Asian snacks to stationery to more. It has that Asian vibe and it's also very affordable, making it more attractive. It's located at the same plaza of Coffee by Hand. Funny to think how 10 years ago when the plaza was dead, no one would have thought this plaza would become this successful. They also have claw machines where most plays are either $1 $2 or $4, so it's a fun hangout spot. I am thinking that it's the gen z hot spot right now. Whether you're actually trying to buy something or you're trying to kill time and hang out, Teso definitely has you covered. They have a lot of staff working to make sure items are stocked, the store is clean and answer any of your questions. So check them out -- I'm glad ATL is finally getting some of these chains are we are wayyy overdue. (When is Daiso coming in?)

Amazing Japanese location. Always come back here for my Japanese goods. Here is the pic from my latest haul

Yelp
Wow, it was overwhelmingly large and crowded. But I still enjoyed visiting this store. It kinda stunk that all the claw machines were out of order. I enjoyed their large selection of toys and beauty products. The parking was easy and getting in and out of the store was a breeze. The value of the items was close to all the others. The customer service was very good and as crowded as it was it was nice to see everyone working effectively to keep the store clean and stocked.

Yelp
The moment you walk in this store, you get an instant blast of dopamine. They have beauty supply items to stationary to home products to food and even a section dedicated to claw machines! I feel like their prices are on the higher end, but definitely worth a visit for nostalgia and if you're in the area.

Yelp
What a fun store! Go in the morning to avoid a line. Very busy! They have everything from toys, candy, home goods, cosmetics, dog treats, and glassware to ramen and tea. Go check it out! Oh

Yelp
Really cute store! Lines move quickly and lots of variety. It's really fun to browse around and see all of the snacks and products that you may not be able to find elsewhere! Also I thought the prices were reasonable

Yelp
I noted before in a previous review that I think we need more Japanese presence in the Duluth/Norcross area as we have a plethora of Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese influences. Then came Ebisu Japanese Life Store which is a little Japanese version of Walgreens without the pharmacy. But along the Pleasant Hill strip where Sweet Hut and BBMyun live, there was a portion of the plaza that laid dormant for years till Teso Life came along. Did it continue w/ the Chinese/Taiwanese theme that this plaza is geared for or did it switch to something else? Luckily, my wish came true and it's another Japanese cultural market. This place just opened in mid-July so they're still getting their bearings straight at the time of this review so you will have to be patient with the way they have their store laid out, getting the staff acclimated, and ultimately getting their feet established. I recommend popping into the Ebisu Japanese Life Store off Steve Reynolds before coming here so you can get a taste of what it's like because Teso Life is just Ebisu Japanese Life store on steroids. It's just a bigger store with more inventory that allows them more room for more things like Gundam models and more snack variety. Between the claw machines, the Japanese skin care items, the supplies, and the food items, it's definitely worth checking out. Again, this place is barely a month old so have patience as people are checking it out so lines will be long, inventory will be all over the place, and the staff will need to adjust as they are new but rest assured, this place is fantastic!!!

Yelp
Drove 2 hrs because I saw this on an instagram reel. Yes it lives up to the expectation. It was very clean and organized and had some pretty interesting products you don't normally see in the US. Wide verity's of products from makeup, collectibles, cleaning, Home, hygiene, food, etc. Food prices are cheaper somewhat then competitors. I will say other products are on the pricey side like some of the drug store makeup for instance is equivalent to Ultas price range. (Blame the economy not the business) A lot of stuff you won't find in any American chain stores. It was very interesting. The isle are very tight and when we went it was on the crowded end. A lot of people passing by and always moving out the way to let people by. Was definitely worth the drive will be back with a cooler next time to buy frozen goods.

Yelp
Long waiting line to get into the store, by the time got in to the store, had to use the restroom but no restrooms in Teso! had to leave the store and get in the line again. Wth?! ‍ Claw machine was fun! Lot of variety of blind boxes! Lot of variety of Japanese items. Went back again, lot of shelves are empty. Claw machines has been out of order for more than 2 weeks now. Lot of items like ice cream, juice, dango are all out. Needs better management. Hope it'll improve.

Yelp
Definitely a must to stop at if you are in the area. I love going to Teso life, they have so much stuff! The candy section is great!
