My FAVE store. They have literally everything. Nothing makes me happier than spending my money here. I am obsessed with the cow brand bouncia body wash. I have put both family and friends into it. I highly recommend it recommended it! They have great drinks, snacks cookware/dinner ware as well.

I am a highly retuning customer I’ve spent over hundreds of dollars here since I live near by and love their products. One day the store was pretty empty, two employees started following me on every move I made and mind you I am a white female. They made me feel very uncomfortable as they were intentionally watching my every move. I always come here but I am really debating on going elsewhere. There is one employee woman who always blocks the asile on purpose and she has a bad attitude when I asked her where a product was she didnt want to speak to me or asking anything however another female employee she is always so nice whe I need help and recommends products to me which I end up buying This store barley has sale or discounts for returning cutters which is sad

great store with Japanese products! You can find cosmetics, delicious snacks, cute accessories, and even LEGO. The atmosphere is very pleasant, everything is beautifully organized, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They have popular Japanese desserts, including mango-shaped ice cream, which I really wanted to try but didn’t get the chance—hopefully next time! I also buy all my hair care products here because they have a great selection. Definitely a store worth visiting!

They helped me pick out the Anessa sunscreen, and I’m obsessed. It feels amazing on my skin—light, not greasy, and I don’t want to wash it off like I usually do with other sunscreens. They actually let me try it on first, which is rare and honestly made me trust them more. The staff was super nice and knew their stuff. Totally worth the price, and I’ll 100% be back.

I the recommended this store updated in March 2024, one knife is rusty and after 5 months of use there is no guarantee, so the seller told me, in general, not all Japanese things are of high quality.

My daughter really needed to use the bathroom urgently, it was an emergency, but they didn’t let her in. We approached two staff members, and both of them refused. For children, exceptions should be made. This is very sad.

Teso Life, a large Japanese retail store, offers a wide variety of snacks, drinks, beauty products, and household goods, and more. I stop by this store almost everyday to buy snacks and other beauty things. I used to also play a lot here for their claw machines and blind boxes. It's always clean and well-organized. They also have sales and promotions for certain items. The staffs here are friendly and helpful. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great grocery store. They recently added a Pokémon slot machine where you can try your luck to get PSA graded Pokémon cards. There's also other locations of Teso if you want to check it out! This place is at a good location. It has bright lights and sell a lot of cool Asian products such as makeup. Asian beauty is really in right now. The selection is great. They have many brands like dasique, Tirtir, Flower Knows, fwee, can make and dear cloud to name a few. They do switch out the brands though and they don't carry many colors of each brand. The prices are MSRP. The only reason why I can't give them five stars is because all the samples are out. I really wanted to try the cushions they have for sale but every single sample shade is out. It's the reason why I don't buy from them other than the prices.

Cute store, great frozen snacks (towards the back), and easy to find parking nearby. Nice selection of beauty products. I have been here multiple times and it never disappoints.

Always a cute pitstop for your Japanese konbini (convenience store) food items, house care goods and cosmetics. Even toy models, blind boxes and cute snacks can lure in any fan of fun items. Anytime I need some brown rice roasted green tea, matcha powders, Japanese snacks, and even cutesy Kirby lotions, this is the place I love to stop in for a good cheer. The size of their snacks selections are always amazing, the staff is always great and treats you well and a great place to research Asian brand cosmetics if you need to try new things. At this point I should get a membership card to this place.

I went to the one in Ktown in New York City. My friend had brought me there for the first time, and I was really sad because it was so far away from me and it would be a hassle to go there all the time. But then she told me there was a closer one in Brooklyn and I had been meaning to check it out for a long time, and I found myself in the area recently, and I stopped by to check it out and, I was very pleasantly surprised. The prices were really good. I walked out spending about $25 for all of the stuff that I bought which was pretty good. I expected to spend a lot of money so I think I did quite well. It had an amazing selection of things, I kept walking up and down every single aisle just to look at it again. I rarely find this kind of selection around me in any stores and when I was checking out and when I was walking around, the employees were really nice. I was walking around for quite a while without having grabbed a basket and someone walked up to me with one which was really nice. And when I was checking out, they were really friendly and kind and I will definitely go back. I'm actually planning the next trip because I really want to buy some goodies because I've been craving some Asian snacks and there are no Asian shops in my neighborhood, so I'm looking to make the trip again.

If I could use one phrase to describe Teso, it would be, "take my money" Located on 86th Street, Teso is chock full of Japanese products ranging from makeup, food, to household items. I only browsed the makeup, skincare, and hair care areas but went absolutely feral over all the products and had to curb my spending on what I picked up. I know some comments point out that Teso is expensive, but for a lot of the makeup and skincare stuff I saw, their pricing is completely reasonable. Often times a lot of stores that sell Asian Beauty products will markup the cost. Teso has very reasonable prices for items like melty balm, DHC lip product, etc. They're also selling super cute bags but I'm not sure if they're limited edition. The tote bag is $3.99 and shopping bag is $6.99. So cute and affordable! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I ended up getting a tote that had paint peeling off. I didn't notice that until I stepped outside the store. Luckily they were very kind and understanding of the situation and reissued me a new tote! Such an Awesome store. I highly recommend to check it out!

This shop can best be described as a miscellaneous Japanese megastore, stocked with imported goods in just about every category. There's an aisle dedicated to snacks, another to beauty products, another to kitchenware, and a whole host of other items that I'd simply call tchotchkes. Need a keyboard hand rest in the shape of a polar bear? You can find a few versions here. Training wheel chopsticks, a bib to catch your hair when giving yourself haircuts, and chemical foot peels all make an appearance in this shop. This is all to say this place is almost paradise for someone like me until I realize I have no use for 90% of the items they have stocked. I just can't help but be drawn to the store every time I'm in the neighborhood. The most exciting aisle to me is the snack aisle, stocked with all the best chips and crackers from all the Japanese and Korean brands I grew up on. Chips come in a medley of savory flavors and their Pocky section has every version under the sun. I always come away from this aisle with an armful of treats that I'll fill my cabinets with. The aisles at this particular location are quite narrow and can feel cramped when multiple people are browsing any given one. It would be exceptionally easy to turn too quickly and knock over a shelf, so tread through the store carefully. Otherwise, enjoy the sensory overload that is Teso Life, you may just come away with your next useless gadget.

When I found out that there was going to be a Teso Life in 86th street Brooklyn chinatown, I skipped a few heart beats and jumped in joy. I used to drive an hour to an hour and half to get to Teso Life in flushing and go on a shopping spree. However, I guess it's a good thing and a bad thing that now Teso is so conveniently located in Brooklyn. Good thing is that I can now save on travel time and buy everything from this store, bad thing is that I guess my monthly paycheck will all go into here. When they first had their opening, the line was wrapped around to get in. Since I've learned my lesson, I've only gone during the weekdays. This place is amazing. Let me tell you why. Think of Japan brought to you in NY. It's l so easily accessible from its home goods to skincare and to most important - food. The price is not overinflated due to import goods, in fact its very reasonable. Don't forget to catch it's weekly sale! P.S. their ramens are really good. Better than other instant ones. Try their cakes and pudding in the fridge. You can't go wrong with any of their food items.

Good place to shop for Korean/Japanese imported food and skincare items. Place is spacious with widely separated aisles of home-goods, to makeup, and imported snacks. Teso has little bits of everything, although it's on the pricey end. A bag of KitKat cost at least $2 more than at the supermarket down the block. I liked walking down the facial care aisle with their wide selection of Korean brand of facial creams to serums. Staff walk past and asked if I needed help and even gave me a basket to place the items I'm about to purchase. Overall, a good place to shop

I live near by the store and stopped by to refill my candy stash. The store is huge, well lit, spacious, clean, organized. The store has tons of different things including beauty, home, groceries (pantry), beverage, stationary, and so much more. I can spend hours in the store just going through all the different aisles and finding a new goodie. I love spending time in the snack section to find new treats to try. It is very hard leaving without spending all of my money.

This place is great, even when you're on a budget. Me and my cousins went here because we love anything Asian style and everything there is such great quality. Toys, makeup, food, snacks, meals, etc. they have such amazing ice cream. We had 80$ on us and we only spent 30$. If we r hungry and have a budget we useally come here to get tarobaki noodles or some snacks. Come here if u love anything Asian and anything for a short budget.

I came here really excited with my mom and wanted to take a browse around the store as I seen/heard good things but my overall experience felt as I was being followed everywhere, I noticed that when my mom will walk away to browse things of her interest, a worker would all of a sudden pretend to shuffle things in that area and just stare at her.

I stopped at the store after going to a tea shop across the street and I'm so glad that I did. The ataff is mostly nice, the male cashier was obviously surprised i was there, lol. This little place has all sorts of unique Asian specialties items usually more difficult to find around the city. I was able to get sushi flavored lays crisps in and Pepper chicken flavored Doritos flavor shots. The selection of Hi Chew rivaled those found in the Japanese markets in California. The selection of sheet masks were fantastic and I snagged quite a few. There were limited edition items there too. I got one of those little kewpie dollies in a blind box, they call them Sonny Angel now. Uggghhh so cute! I had to stop myself from buying a new Zojirushi Hello Kitty thermos, lol. Be careful, you can end up spending a small fortune here.

Japan-based store with some of the widest selections of goods from Japan I have ever seen. The prices are super fair especially considering everything is imported. I love the large assortment of snacks, which were all super delicious, and the hair dye they offer worked really well for my Asian hair. They also have really convenient household appliances, and really affordable makeup.

Huge super-mart with a good amount of Asian goods. They stock everything from snacks and drinks to beauty products to home goods. The prices vary and you can find some good specials and hard-to-find things from other places. They even have a mystery box section where you can buy cute figurines from a set. There is a bag fee of 10 cents but it's a high-quality reusable shopping bag which is well worth the fee. Workers are very friendly and kind as well. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area and you'll definitely walk out with something each time!

A friend warned me the items are overpriced. However, I found the prices reasonable. I wanted a jolt of caffeine and I found the brand that I love. When I went to HMart a couple of weeks ago, it was priced at $3.49. I was shocked Teso had it for $1.99. I like how clean and bright the store is. The cashier was very nice too. I would go back there again.

One of my besties always rave about the Teso Life in Queens, calling it a "better version of Daiso." So being a big fan of Daiso, I immediately went to this Teso Life when I caught wind that it opened in Brooklyn. Idk about now but it was happening the weekend that I went. Even though the store was a lot bigger than I imagined, the aisles were pretty narrow, and of course, everyone was crowding around the snack aisles. Looking at the price tags, I knew that this was no Daiso. Some snack items seemed pricier than what I usually see it sell for in other places, like a can of Royal Milk Tea was over $2 here. But I was very intrigued by some snacks that I've never seen elsewhere so yah, I broke the bank here. And since my eyes were really feasting, I had to take two trips around the snack aisles to make sure I didn't miss anything (which I did). Aside from dry snacks, they also sold some Mochi and packaged cakes in their very small fridge section. I would come back in another month or so to see if they have anything new!

They have a lot of Asian goods here from skincare to snacks. The skincare section has a lot items from Korea and Japan. If I ever need something quick, this is where I come to buy it. The prices for these products can vary though, so I usually check the prices online as well to see which is cheaper. There is also kitchenware and stationary in the back.

I LOVE this place! It's the first time in a long time that I've had a reason to shop on on 86th street. It's a beautiful store, filled to the brink with cool and unique Japanese imported items. It's massive and I honestly can't spend enough time eagerly looking around. Customer service is fairly decent, prices are pretty steep though.

Walking into the newly opened Teso made me feel nostalgic of my past Japan trips. The set up is exactly like how a Teso would be in Japan! The prices are a bit high, but considering they have a lot of hard to find Japanese products, it is somewhat justifiable. Excited to come back!

Teso is essentially a more expensive version of Daiso in my opinion. Both have similar items but with Teso's pricing double and even triple the price of Daiso. After walking past the beauty section into the snack section towards the back of the store, the first thing I noticed were the aisles. Although the front half the store had aisles that could easily fit 2 people side by side, the same could not be said for the back. When browsing, I had to wait for the people in front of me to finish what they were looking at first and move on before I could find things. There wasn't room for me to pass by the people and it didn't make sense to me why the aisles that weren't as popular had more space. I gave an extra star because they had my favorite snack from Japan which I dont see at other stores (roasted soybean mochi) but if it weren't for that, I'd just go to jmart. They have enough imported snacks and at a fraction of the price.

Don't let this cute clean pretty looking place fool you. They sell FAKE beauty products. I bought a couple of items and mask. Certain facial beauty mask has QR Code that will identify with the real website to see if it is real or fake. They lead it to their own site and doesn't work. FAKE P

I was super excited when I saw a Teso life in 86st because I've been to the one in ktown and I enjoyed my shopping spree there. They sell a bunch of Japanese and Korean products (snacks, drinks, face masks, skin care, utensils, household products, makeup, frozen goods, bathroom essentials, etc.) I always get some snacks here and pick up some other stuff. One thing that I don't like though is they have their staff following you around and they were just walking all over the aisles when I was there today. I'm just staring at a product for 10 seconds and then a staff walks by. Then next aisle, same thing. Other than that I like that I can look at all the variety of stuff they sell.

If you're a fan of Japanese goods, you're going to LOVE Teso, like my mom who practically comes here once a weekend. Teso sells a little bit of everything: from skincare, to makeup, to bodycare, to snacks, to home goods, to stationery. I particularly love coming here for the skincare -- there are just aisles devoted to sheet masks, cleansers, moisturizers, and more. If you enjoy Japanese skincare, you will likely be able to find many of the typical brands here. One brand I personally use is Hado Labo, which I've found to be a little cheaper at this location compared to other supermarkets in the neighborhood and in the city. Their snacks and cooking accoutrements are also very exciting to peruse. They have lots of chips, candies, sauces, furikake, and soup bases that will get your foodie heart beating fast. If you're looking for quirky Kit Kat, for example, there are some options here! I've also seen candies and general snacks here that aren't as commonly stocked at other average Chinese/Asian supermarkets. Teso is a welcome addition to 86th Street. Love having a place to get a bunch of random bits and bobs, as well as skincare staples, and it's fun jus to pop in to window shop sometimes.

My boyfriend and I used to come here often for the cute cat snacks and other Japanese snacks. It's clean, well stocked and smells nice. I docked stars because every time we go, there's always a worker following me or standing by the isle I'm in. In the beginning I thought it was just a coincidence until I realized they would follow me to every isle pacing back and forth, or would just stand at the end of the isle and stare. This mostly would happen whenever my boyfriend and I split up to go to different areas. He's Chinese so no one has ever followed him, and they usually leave me alone once he and I reunite. Overall if you're black or not Asian or white I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to be followed or profiled. FYI tesso, we aren't all thieves like the media portrays us to be...

Find out for yourself. It's the best place i rlly like it because it has so much stuff for example i like the makeup they have but it's kinda pricey
