Best New Cocktail and Wine Bars in the East Bay | Eater SF

"After 15 years in the natural wine business, Tessier Winery has joined the Gilman strip of winemakers, taking over Vinca Minor’s former tasting room on Fourth Street. The tasting room has limited hours from Friday to Sunday, but it’s an opportunity to sample more of Tessier’s wines, which were previously only available via retail shops and online. Tessier occasionally hosts pop-ups at the tasting room, so it’s worth tracking events via the winery’s Instagram, @tessierwinery." - Dianne de Guzman

Nusa: Indonesian Thousand-Layer Cake and Beef Rendang Lands in the East Bay | Eater SF

"As of April 5, the airy warehouse at 1335 Fourth Street in Berkeley houses Tessier, an unconventional natural winery that’s been operating for 15 years; owner Jason Charles says the business outgrew the space and will shift production up to Sonoma, giving up its customer‑facing tasting room." - Paolo Bicchieri

If you are looking for a great place to spend a Friday night or a chill weekend afternoon look no further! Tessier produces such delicious natural wines. The vibe of the venue is very laidback and fun. The staff is incredibly friendly, I always feel comfortable and at home here. Please give this spot a try if you haven’t already.

Great natural wines by a woman winemaker named Kristie Tacey, who used to be a microbiologist. 15 years in the business, minimal intervention style, some single varietals and some innovative and delicious blends from around Northern California. Super cool vibe, really chill. Bookable for events, too!

Loved our experience this evening- a great selection of natural wines. Tonight those were paired with a Tarot card reader and a BBQ sandwhich popup- divine.

Yelp
Nice friendly spot to try new wines. They explain each wine in detail and they taste great. The space offers chill and relaxing vibes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great place! Friendly and very chill staff and clientele. Excellent natural wine made right here--from super-quaffable lights to more complex reds. Worthy of a stop on any Berkeley wine tour--one of the better places in the Gilman District. Try their curated selection of snacks--they have these french potato chips that I can't get enough of (my favorite is the camembert).

Yelp
We really loved this place! Great wine, friendly service, and good prices! They also have snacks available - chips, olives, cheese plates, etc.! We have tried a few of the wine bars in the area and this is one of our new favorites! Definitely recommend!
