Aya's take:
More than a restaurant, Tetetlan is an architectural masterpiece from the glass floors to the volcanic rocks right below it, to the library full of books to the farm-to-table dining experience with innovative seasonal menus. I love how Tetetlan allows guests to feel the blend of food, culture, and art all in a single space. Now onto the food! Of the appetizers we ordered, the Elotitos Enrique was the best. It was such a unique take on elote, had great flavor, and was super addicting. The Tabla de Pulpo y Tuetan was loaded with octopus and bone marrow; I actually liked it a lot more than I expected. The Pescado del Dia was also cooked exceptionally well and the sweet potato purée surprisingly went so well with it. For dessert, they brought out their dessert cart which has beautiful and aesthetically pleasing desserts to choose from. These rotate frequently as I didn't see the one I was looking for. We opted for the Tarta de Platano which had great presentation and I loved the lightness, sweetness, and freshness in each bite. I'm a sucker for banana desserts so I knew I'd like it. Service was so slow despite the restaurant being maybe half full. There was also somewhat of a language barrier; only one waiter spoke English and he wasn't even our main waiter. Good experience, overall!
