My wife and I recently stayed at the Tetra and had a wonderful experience. Not only was the property beautifully designed and well-appointed with luxurious finishes and modern furniture, but the staff was warm and welcoming upon arrival and departure. The location is quite convenient, within 20 minutes of San Jose International Airport, and in close proximity to a number of great restaurants and local venues. That said, the hotel's in house eatery, Adrestia, is lovely, with an array of thoughtfully composed dishes, including some tasteful options for vegetarians. So, the next time I am visiting family and friends in the Bay Area, I will be sure to return to Tetra, for it is clean, modern, and staffed with friendly people. Last, but not least, there is ample parking in a multi-story garage adjacent to the hotel.

The Tetra Hotel truly excels in modern elegance. The decor is a stunning blend of sleek lines and innovative design, creating a chic and inviting atmosphere. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, offering a perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The rooms are really comfortable, providing a perfect sanctuary for relaxation.

Love staying here. Probably my favorite hotel in the bay area. Near Google and Microsoft campus but in a quieter industrial park. Hotel is connected to the AC hotel with a parking garage. Hotel is modern but minimalist, think West Elm. Lobby is clean and modern and minimal. People who work here are great and very welcoming. Rooms are functional and minimalist. Beds are low but super comfortable, wood floors and stone/tile bathrooms. Hallways are quiet and the rooms make it difficult to hear neighbors. Everything is just modern, minimalist and functional decor. I love the decor, space and ambiance here. Chill but not over the top swanky vibes. Rooms come with robes AND SLIPPERS! Love that. If the room is missing slippers, you can just call front desk and they are quick to respond. Also the bathrooms have Dyson blow dryer which the mrs. is happy about. Restaurant has both western and japanese inspired menu offerings and there is also a coffee shop just across the hall. Good coffee, not your average starbucks or house brewed coffee. The bar has great drinks for a night cap. They open the door in the summer, the breeze is so nice. Overall favorite hotel in the bay area, quiet, modern but minimalist and great location to either Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Mountain View and San Jose.

Google
Modern hotel, decent rooms and comfortable beds. The facilities and comfort were up a notch from the usual joints in the bay. Despite the demand vs supply and the subsequent high prices, $500 per night is still quite unfathomable for an infrequent traveller to the area. Appreciate the free and convenient parking. Wished they would provide complimentary toothbrush and paste.

This is my favorite place to stay, across all the hotels I stay in for business travel, in various cities. The rooms are simple, clean, and quiet. The beds are comfortable. The extra details like the fancy hair dryer and the fancy water kettle are nice touches. I find it easy to do work there when I need to, and to get decent sleep. The staff members are always extremely nice. I've had good service at the restaurant, too. If I have one minor complaint, it would be that the refrigerators in the rooms are on the loud side, but I'm not letting it affect my rating as I'm pretty noise-sensitive and I am guessing that most people wouldn't even notice.

Google
My stay here was solid. Stayed here 7 nights for business. I liked that they had hibiscus tea and even chocolate on the weekend. Room was modern and bed was comfortable. My one complaint would be that the AC was very particular and would shut off once it reached the desired temperature, which made it more difficult to sleep since I like the white noise. I learned eventually that the trick was to set it on fan mode and set temperature at 66 since it couldn't dip that low. Also - they need a way to keep lights on permanently. The lights in the room were timed, which meant if you were doing anything stationary (reading, working, watching TV), the lights would turn off and you need to physically take a few steps to get them to turn on again, which happened every 15 min or so.

Loved the bar. Had a great time enjoying highball (whiskey soda basically). They imported a highball machine from Japan and the drinks made by it was so good. Food was awesome too. Ordered scallops and lamb chops. Highly recommended.

This place is art! Love the architecture and minimalistic Scandinavian design. Lobby looked amazing and upscale. Room was modern and chic. Dyson hair dryer is a huge plus as many upscale hotels still use crappy hair dryers.

Yelp
Loved this place! Came down to the bay for my 21st and got upgraded to the corner suite. The bed was the comfiest bed I've ever laid on. Got such a pretty view of the pool. Check in lady (forgot her name:() was super nice and helpful ! Would definitely visit again!!

Yelp
Definitely worth checking out if you need to stay within the area for business or even a weekend retreat. The hotel offers a very modern, zen like atmosphere with an amazing japanese bar located in their spacious lobby. My first impression upon walking in was how quiet it was. Even with children around me there was no echo of their presence. Not that I dont like children - I just happened to be staying here to get a way from my own (and it this hotel served my purpose perfectly). The hotel has a spa vibe to it (but, unfortunately, there is no spa). I wish there was otherwise I would have taken complete advantage of it. The accommodations are superb! Immaculate, neutral tones but not cold or uninviting. It was just an overall great place to relax. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Great experience at a seemingly almost brand new hotel! We are Marriott Platinum status members and we were upgraded to a suite at check-in. the room was beautiful, with tons of floor-to-ceiling windows, a fabulous shower with rainfall showerhead, and some fun amenities including a Theragun and a Dyson Supersonic blow dryer. The elevators were fast and parking was secure and convenient. The hotel is tucked into a quiet business area, which could be a con for some, but we enjoyed the quiet. A couple of cons: - First and foremost, an Autograph Collection level location really needs a lounge for Elite members. We were offered a continental breakfast at the property next door, or a few extra points. - The floor-to-ceiling windows are beautiful, but unfortunately not practical. You can't them open because the lights on the outside of the AC Hotel next door are SO bright, and the pulls that open and close the drapes end up behind the decorative (?) cement columns in both the bedroom and living room and are a pain to open and close. A super strange design flaw for such a new hotel. - There are tons of motion activated lights all over the room - under the bed which sits close to the ground, on the vanity in the bathroom, etc. They can easily be set off by accident from bed. Not good for light sleepers. Overall, this is a great hotel and we would stay here again if given the opportunity.

Yelp
I got the follow email about the hotels overbooking less than 72 hours before my stay: We regret to inform you that the hotel did not confirm your reservation due to overbooking status. This happened because the hotel did not place the stop-sale in the online reservation system in time and the reservation went through with immediate confirmation. Since it is the hotel's responsibility to close the sale on time, we were unable to influence and prevent this problem.

Yelp
Amazing hotel! Patricia at the hotel next door and the woman working the desk at Tetra on June 1st were both absolutely amazing! Made me feel like I'm at home!

Yelp
We stayed here for one night and got upgraded to a junior suite. It was quite spacious with floor to ceiling windows. There was a small gap when closing them though. The amenities are nice, including a Dyson hairdryer. There is plenty of parking in the garage and multiple electric car charging stations. Daily parking costs $28. There isn't much around the hotel, but that was fine with us. It was a relaxing and quiet stay.

Yelp
Came here for a giveaway prize, I love the chic minimalistic japanese vibe of the hotel. Everything was super clean. You know a hotel is fancy, when their hair dryers are dyson brand. They have pack and plays available for your baby/toddler. Their restaurant in the lobby is super delicious! japanese brunch like no other. we didnt get to try any drinks at the whisky bar but the lobby was such an inviting place for drinks! cheers!

Mylinh V.

Yelp
Review purely for the coffee shop inside the hotel lobby. There is a Coffee Manufactory location in the hotel lobby across from the entrance in the corner. The shop is quaint and small with a ton of products displayed. They have food, drinks, little trinkets, and merchandise. The service was quick and the employees were very friendly. I opted for a matcha latte with almond milk. The lattes were not cheap here. I believe my matcha latte with almond milk was around $9. The latte itself was ok. The matcha was not suspended enough and the powder was balled up at the bottom of the cup.

Yelp
I loved my stay here and already cannot wait to come back! From the subtle Japanese touches, in room dyson, complimentary evian water, and the MiN New York toiletries, our experience felt so upscale and serene. This is one of those hotels where they pay attention to so many small details. From the wood, to the wool carpet, the amenities, even the lighting fixtures felt premium. They have everything from an in house restaurant, coffee shop, a pool, a fitness center, and even a bar so that you can enjoy your stay here without leaving the property. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating to any requests we had. The hotel common areas are kept very clean and the property scent was a nice touch. We were celebrating my friend's birthday while staying here and the staff was amazing at making our experience extra special! Would I return? For sure!

Yelp
Great bar in the lobby of the TETRA hotel called "Nokori" which is a delicious Japanese whiskey bar. Minimalist menu style with an elegant selection and tasty spirits to wash it all down.

Daniel Y.

Yelp
Very classy modern designed hotel. Patricia helped me with check in. She was very helpful and informative. In fact, she was able to upgrade me to a corner suite as requested and gave me a $100 comp for dinner. She delivered amazing customer service. Def be back again. Thanks Team Tetra!

Yelp
I feel like the 3.5 rating here is pretty fair for now. Pros: absolutely stunning interior and decorations - 2 restaurant offerings - a lot of open space to chill and relax - parking situation is relatively easy despite it being $22 per night Cons: - I went to sit in the top pool area just to get some air, just sit mind you not swim, and a worker was pulling up chair cushions around me - granted it was a gloomy day weather-wise but I wasn't alerted as to what was happening or asked to leave nicely - air conditioning is stronger in the rooms than the gym - no hand soap in almost all of the downstairs bathrooms - beds are pretty uncomfortable, the beds at Nia are better

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
I typically stay here during business trips. It's super empty on the weekends and busy during weekdays as it's near a bunch of tech companies. The main reasons why I stay here: -it's a Marriott hotel -dyson hair dryer -peloton bike in the gym -I like the lotion they have lol -it's newer & clean -staff is nice My only complaint is that there was sometimes a loud noise from the bathroom or from the bathroom of the room above?? Not sure.

Yuechen Y.

Yelp
Would you say no to a Dyson dryer in a hotel? This is a new hotel that opened this month! It's very modern, and I love the vibe in the lobby when you walk in. There's no smell from construction at all in the room. The room is pretty spacious and clean. They have robes in the closet too. I had to ask for toothbrush and toothpaste. They don't have slippers available like most Marriott do. The front desk is very friendly. Everything is new in the room. They remodeled it nicely and put some cool furnitures / decorations. The bathroom is super nice too. They even have a Dyson dryer in the room. Recommend you to stay here if you are in Cupertino, Sunnyvale, and San Jose area!

Yelp
The Tetra Hotel is a swanky modern hotel that is new to the Sunnyvale area. The hotel is not cheap to stay at but the fact that is new, clean, and very modern appeal to me. Our suite was spacious and the amenities were somewhat unique - dyson hairdryer, a sewing kit, shampoo and conditional in a reusable bottle. The bed was comfy and clean. The receptionist at the front desk was nice and friendly. The cleaning crew did an excellent job! The only con was the room was facing construction so if your looking for a nice view, this hotel isn't the best for that. In addition, the valet service wasn't the best. When we arrived and when we were leaving, the gentleman just stood there, did not offer to help put suitcases in the trunk. I would of tipped him if he did help. Overall though, it's a nice hotel to stay at and close to the highway as well!

Jojo P.

Yelp
Had a very nice recent stay at Tetra in Sunnyvale. The hotel is attached to another Marriott brand AC Hotels and they share many common facilities. The hotels are brand new and offer elevated design and amenities for the area. For example, rooms came with Dyson hair dryers and Fellow electric kettles. The hotel gave me vibes of 5 star hotels in Asia, be it in a smaller package and located in the middle of an office park. If you have Platinum Elite status, you'll get breakfast at Adrestia - the hotel's all day restaurant. The menu will be limited to a continental breakfast plate or the typical two eggs, sausage/bacon, toast option. Service was a little hit and miss at the restaurant, but it is a nice environment and the food was good. They offer free EV charging in their garage with all EV stalls located on the lower level (make a left after entering the garage).

Yelp
I stayed here over Christmas and they never explained to me that the on-site parking garage was NOT COMPLIMENTARY. And at the rate of $22 a night, it added about 20% to the nightly fee. I've never said in a hotel that charged its guest for parking on their property. What's worse they're would have been alternative given the area! No street parking whatsoever. What a racket. The beds were hard as a rock and I hard a hard time sleeping past 5-6 hours on any given night.

Yelp
Terrible establishment. As a loyal marriot convoy member, this place is bad for being on the newer side! The hotel is on the newer side and gives a nice contemporary feel. But the service is horrible! I went down to the front desk to ask for extra towels as they only gave me one bath towel for my stay at 9:00pm. They informed me that house keeping would bring it up. I waited about 1 hour and then I followed up using the marriot app - at about 10:15. They responded and told me sorry for the delay and someone would be up shortly. Of course I waited another hour to follow up. No one ever came. This was around 11:00pm now. Marriott even sent me a follow up again to remind and apologize for the delay. HOUSEKEEPING never brought the requested towel up and they never came after I messaged them about it. The service is horrible here can use a lot of work. Like how hard is it to bring towels to my room because they neglected to leave extra towels when I arrived? I also even went down to the lobby to request the towels and they couldn't give it to me there. Overall for the price point, this hotel is not worth it. I stay at a lot of Marriot hotels and this has to be one of the worst experiences. Followed up, the Director of Rooms - Sol Medina Lor. Said she would provide 5000 extra points as compensation. But it has been 2 weeks and the points have not shown. Would not come back to this pricy establishment with terrible hospitality!

Yelp
Very nice experience - staff here very patient and responsible, food very delicious. All perfect!!

Yelp
I love Autograph hotels and have great experiences but that was not the case at TETRA Hotel. My fiancé and I have been waiting on their grand opening for the past few months for a mini staycation to celebrate our engagement anniversary. Pro tip: when it comes to celebrating a special occasion don't hesitate on letting them know. You're in for a treat! First things first, checking in! My interaction with the guest agents was longer than it should have been. Honestly, I had to use the restroom super bad but they didn't pick up on my body language or responses that I was trying to cut things short after making my payment and having my card made. Once I arrived in the room I noticed that they had gifted us with a bottle of wine, a card and some chocolates which was a nice touch on top of the complimentary upgrade ( Mountain View ). The view wasn't giving me scenic vibes because the only actual view we saw was the construction site lol. The hotel itself is very clean, warm and nice. The room was very spacious, modern, minimalistic and had a great bathroom with vanity. Did I mention they also have brand items like a Dyson Hairdryer, Fellow Kettle and some bath essentials from MiN New York?! You know you're getting old when you get hyped over things like this haha! Before dinner, my fiancé and I thought it would be a good idea to go for a dip in the pool during sunset and get ready right after. Unfortunately, once we got to the pool area we decided to dip our feet in the water to see if the pool was heated as mentioned by one of the GSAs--that was cancelled out since it was beyond freezing cold! Sucks we were given the wrong information. :( With no plans to workout and no proper apparel we headed over to the gym. Such nice views and super high tech machines in which you can watch Netflix on the machines or pair your phone to. To my ladies and gents that love spin class, they have pelotons! Fast forward, after dinner we decided to open up our bottle of wine. With no wine bottle opener on hand or in the room, we gave the night audit a call to see if she can have one delivered to us. Most awkwardest phone conversation ever. She seemed unprofessional and confused trying to find what to say. One thing that threw us off was that she mentioned that she'll give our room a call to update us once they've delivered it to the room. Waited 20 minutes for a call and nothing. So we went ahead and called back to see if it was available or even delivered and was told to wait another few minutes. Finally after awhile we seen the opener on the carpet in front of our door and got pouring away! The main thing that disturbed my fiancé and I the most was the fact how one of the housekeepers came into our room super early in the morning in the middle of our sleep. Mind you this way before 8 and the usual time of doing due outs. No knock or nothing! And yes the do not disturb sign was up!Weird enough, that housekeeper literally stood in front of our bed for quite sometime as if we were being checked to see how knocked out we were. Once the housekeeper left I wasn't able to go back to sleep since I didn't feel safe at all. I immediately woke up my fiancé who's a super deep sleeper and he was just as weirded out as I was. As he started getting ready for work, my fiancé told me he woke up with body pains just like I did since the bed was too firm and sheets were too rough for our liking. If it wasn't for us bringing our own pillows and personal blanket I know for a fact that we would've been even more sleep deprived. Because of our poor quality of sleep, I asked if I could do a late checkout so I could sleep in and do my virtual meeting later on in the afternoon. I brought up my concern to Sol ( manager ) and Daniel after getting some coffee and they were extremely apologetic and understanding of where I was coming from. Once again, after sun bathing, taking a shower and my meeting-- I decided to take a quick power nap and housekeeping tries getting in my room! DND and door latch on, I was beyond pissed and just decided to leave. Overall, I am disappointed that I was the one who recommended staying at TETRA Hotel for celebrating our anniversary and feel that we would've had a better time elsewhere. With them being new one week in, I'm sure that there's plenty of room for training and improvement. If we do consider giving them another shot , hopefully it'll be a better experience.

Yelp
TETRA hotel has finally opened offering another Autograph Collection hotel in the 101 corridor in the South Bay--the other being Hotel Nia. The finishes of the hotel are very modern and sleek. The staff is very attentive and friendly... and still working through some minor opening issues. Construction is ongoing therefore limiting room selection. Pros: Finishes, modern rooms, convenient location, easy parking, quiet, complementary glass bottled water in the room. Cons: Room curtain functionality, corner room layout awkwardness, no hot tub and small pool, located too close to Bay resulting in nauseating smells in the morning, food delivery must be picked up at front desk and no delivery straight to the room.

Julie J.

Yelp
Great staff!! Great steak at the restaurant. Love the atrium area in between the hotels. Nice gym and pool. But again, exceptional staff! Front desks- managers- staff at bar- restaurant staff- coffee staff- excellent!! Fabulous coffee in room. Loved the safe etc. The improvement suggestion is for the bathroom. Please!! Need a towel rack by sink. Need a garbage can near sink. Sorry but those sliding glass doors although beautiful, were chipped and needed a better seal. Thank you!

Curtis A.

Yelp
Tetra is an awesome, modern hotel that is both chic and comfortable, high quality and friendly, easy and well furnished. We were especially impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. The parking is across a small plaza so it is very convenient and secure. The room design had lots of small, cool features and details. We highly recommend Tetra!

Victor C.

Yelp
Brand new hotel. The breakfast is at the next door AC hotel. No laundry machine. The car can be parked in the parking building beside.

Danae J.

Yelp
I was charged $250 for smoking in the room... but I don't smoke. They refused to listen to me and never sent evidence.

J A.

Yelp
When dining at Adrestia, Jose couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. Not only helping with adjusting items to my diet but even taste-tested to ensure what I should order!
