Excellent spot for BBQ in this area. Smiling and welcoming service and just great food all around. The mac and cheese were indulgent, striking a nice balance of creaminess and savory, without being heavy. I could eat a pound of it. Only 1 type of sausage available, but delicious, crunchy and deep in flavor. Perfect chicken. Light, juicy, tender. The cornbread muffins are a stroke of genius. The brisket has a wonderful peppery crust. The complementary sauces are interesting, albeit a bit too watery and sugary for my taste. But I know this is what the public wants. I am sold. I am definitely going to be a patron of this restaurant from now on. Recommended. P.s. Try the Cigar City Maduro (English Style Brown Ale). It is a perfect pairing with smoked meat.

We came here to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately the server was a bit rude and didn't really provide information until we asked her. Sadly we missed the prime rib because of this. I also had to ask her three times to bring me the kids menu and her food. The appetizers were delicious and the main dishes were excellent. Only problem is, there isn't a lot of chicken options. We understand this is a meat restaurant but sometimes there's people with needs that could be met to also welcome the poultry crowd. The atmosphere was loud and we couldn't even hear each other due to the music being so loud. We had a big party and we stayed until after the kitchen closed. We had closed our check and everything and we were being rushed to get out by the bussers. This place is pricey! We won't be coming back. Very limited parking lot. Street parking is hard to find.

Food was very good. Aside from our server putting another table’s dirty dishes on ours while she took our order, everything was great. Parking lot is small/limited so be aware of that.

Google
Legit TX BBQ. Beef rib was on point and the sausage and brisket were both good too. Then the breaded/fried broccoli was surprisingly good. Shiner Bock on tap to boot. Highly recommend. My boss and I both smoke Texas style and both loved it.

Google
One of favorite BBQ places in the DMV. Food is consistently good and they have a huge whiskey selection at reasonable prices. We were craving their brisket egg rolls today so they got smashed before I could take a photo. So good - especially with that dipping sauce. Today, we got the 2-meat combo with pulled pork and Texas sausage and the KC burnt ends. Yummmm.

Google
This is actually solid BBQ for the DC area. Brisket was juicy and flavorful. Mac n Cheese was good, sausage was solid and the beans were amazing. The food in the picture looks sad but it's really good. It's not Texas but it's close enough.

Came by for a light snack since I was in the area. Ended up with the Old Bay wings (6 for $11) and a Michter’s small batch bourbon. Great combo. The wings were COATED with old bay, and not just lightly sprinkled with, so you can taste it throughout. They were good quality and smoked well. I’ll be back when again.

Texas Jack’s BBQ in Arlington, Virginia, is a solid option for barbecue in the DC metro area. Having experienced truly great Texas BBQ, I’d say this doesn’t quite reach that level—but it’s still a strong contender, especially for the region. The meats are well-prepared with a nice smoky flavor, and the sides are thoughtfully executed. The brisket and pulled pork were both tender, though the brisket could’ve used a bit more bark and depth. One standout for me was the mashed potato mix—it had a unique flavor and texture that really set it apart from standard BBQ sides. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and service was friendly and attentive. While it may not fully satisfy a Texas purist, it’s a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area and craving barbecue. A 4.0 experience overall—good quality, solid flavors, and a reliable choice for local BBQ.

Yelp
Came for the brisket and stayed for the cocktails. Texas Jack's is a rustic-looking bar restaurant with tv screens (sports) and a lot of Christmas decorations. It looked like a good space with three different eating areas, one of which was reserved for a private party. The other two seem divided into restaurant and bar, but even the bar side had booth seating. The service was friendly and casual, though they did appear to need more staff on the floor. The food was delicious. Exactly the kind of Texan beef brisket we expected and came for. The macaroni was good, though small in portion. The wings were tasty and big in comparison to the sides. The mashed potatoes were not what we expected. They had parsnip and could be better described as a pure. It tasted good and was healthy but just what we had in mind. The corn bread was tasty, but also on the small side. We ordered holiday themed cocktails, including a cranberry mule and a smoked old fashioned. Both cocktails were excellent. Would come back again! PS. Street side parking available but you might have to walk a block or two from the neighborhood as the parking lot is quite small.

Yelp
We were really in the mood for pulled pork and saw this place had good reviews. Overall, the food was okay. Service was good, place was clean, and I liked having two option of seating (quiet, family oriented on the left and bar space with ample TV on the right). Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with complimentary side (baked beans for $15). Added the $29 meat platter with sides of Mexican street corn and mac and cheese. Bummed that the meat platter came out cold (was hoping jt would have been warmer... is it suppose to be that way?). And wish the pulled pork sandwich had more slaw. Side note: lots of cartilage in both the pulled pork sandwich and meat platter. Everything we had today was mediocre, so I probably won't be coming back here. Disappointed because we were really looking forward to an amazing meal.

Yelp
Texas Jack's is a fantastic spot for brunch! This was my second visit, and it never disappoints. My go-to is the brisket sandwich with an over-easy egg and cheese. It's always flavorful and satisfying. The brisket is lean and perfectly cooked, making it my top pick every time. Their drinks are also worth mentioning! You can choose from cocktails or mimosas, but since it's brunch, I always stick with the mimosas, which are consistently great. Another bonus is that the food is reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank. I highly recommend giving this place a try--you'll love it!

Nicole W.

Yelp
This is a Texas Jack's brunch appreciation review. This place has delicious food, great service and great prices. There are many brunch menu items for under $20! I was here recently on a Sunday around 12:30. There were plenty of tables available without a reservation. We opted for a table in the bar area so we could watch football while dining. By 1pm the places was pretty busy, but the service was still on point. I really enjoyed my huevos rancheros with pulled pork. I also appreciated the assortment of bbq sauces. The mimosas were a bit too sweet for my liking... but they're only $5! And they have a mimosa deal if you want a really boozy brunch experience. I definitely recommend Texas Jack's for brunch and plan on returning soon!

Yelp
We had a private party of 10, and it was perfect for large groups! In fact, there was a group of 30-40 middle schoolers also there. Service was quick and accommodating. The barbecue itself was tender and cooked well! I got a side of Brussel sprouts to have a more balanced diet, and it was perfect!

Benjamin T.

Yelp
Food was tender, cooked just right - sauces are presented to you when greeted, my server was very attentive. Material capable of handling the whole restaurant and patio with little support from her peers. Very respectful and upsold me on the Monday Lunch Special. This place has been around for awhile - I recall my Mother taking us to the 711 across the street to cash her checks all the time and this place being here. Would recommend! Server's name is Gege

Yelp
We had a great dining experience here getting our bbq fix! Small parking area to the left of the restaurant but we found parking along the residential street. We got seating outdoors ordering: Caposaldo (5/5): crisp, dry & refreshing pinot grigio that we LOVED! Brisket Egg Rolls w/ cilantro jalapeno sauce (2/5): crispy wrapping but filled mainly with sauteed veggies, would pass on this next time Corn Bread (3.5/ 5): slightly dense, but soft & paired well w/ the cinnamon honey butter Meat Sampler (5/5)- fall apart tender, esp the spare ribs & brisket, and was delicious paired with their bbq sauce! we ordered buns on the side to create pulled pork sandwiches which made our meal more filling! it's served with pickled red onions and sweet&spicy pickles which added great acidity to the heaviness of meats + sides (mac&cheese and esquites) Would return for their well-executed bbq meats & good service!

Yelp
This was an ok visit but I doubt I will come back since I would be passing multiple BBQ spots before getting to this location. There wasn't anything that stood out to make me want to come back but if you're in the area, it's cool to satisfy the bbq craving. The Lavender Haze cocktail was ok, the lavender flavor was really faint. The brisket eggrolls were interesting - the cojita cheese was prominent. The meat was tender. The pulled pork sandwich and chicken sandwich that we ordered was stacked with meat. We were pretty much full from the eggrolls so we only had a few bites of the sandwiches. We tried each of their bbq sauces and weren't wowed but they did help bring some flavor the eggrolls and our sandwiches. The noodles could've been cooked a little longer but the Mac and Cheese was really good. It's the highlight from my meal. I'm not sure of the cheese blend but it had just the right amount of seasoning and the texture worked well with the type of noodles used. Although we were satisfied with our app and entree (we decided to take home the remainder of our sandwiches), there's always room for dessert right? We opted for the peach cobbler and it was terrible. The peaches were hard (partially frozen) and cold. We're accustomed to a warm peach cobbler with cold vanilla ice cream - not cold fruit and hard, salty biscuits. The biscuits were extremely salty. The restaurant looked clean, bathroom was neat and service was decent. I appreciated our servers understanding about us not enjoying the peach dessert. There's plenty of seating indoors and outside which is nice. There are other local spots that easily give this place a run for their money but Texas Jacks can't be completely written off.

Yelp
My friends and I were feeling Southern American BBQ, so we went to Texas Jack's for dinner last Friday. We made a reservation (just in case) but it didn't seem necessary given the spacious dining area they had. The service was fast and we were in and out in less than an hour. CORNBREAD MUFFINS (2) - 2.50 We got two orders of these and they were pretty standard. I love corn-based foods, so I enjoyed these regardless. The honey butter was good, but I was OK eating the cornbread muffins without it. Good, but nothing to write home about, though. CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS (LARGE) - 11 The large portion is a good sharable in our group. The brussel sprouts were generously topped with parmesan aioli that gave it more of an "oomph". However, it was way too oily and greasy for me and not too enjoyable after a few of them. PORK SPARE RIBS (HALF RACK) - 21 So tender and the meat easily falls off the bone. The flavor on them was pretty smoked, and overall above average. The meat was tender, but the pork ribs weren't very big or juicy. Either way, we enjoyed them! Food isn't too expensive. We paid around $16.50pp after tax and tip, and we were quite stuffed at the end. Good food and good value!

Yelp
I heard that Texas Jack's has some of the best BBQ in the area, so I came in with high expectations. They were really empty on July 5th, but still open for lunch! Decided to get the meat medley for my family and I, which ended up being pretty good. The medley has 1/2 lb. brisket, half chicken, 3 pork spare ribs, 1/2 lb. pulled pork, 1 sausage links, and two sides (collard greens and cornbread). I found the brisket to be just okay. The chicken was seasoned very well and was delicious. The ribs were also great, as were the sausage and sides. The pulled pork was also just okay. Servers were nice, and had a pleasant experience. I had really high expectations that probably weren't met, but it wasn't terrible either.

George N.

Yelp
Texas Jack's for me is hands-down the best, most consistent bbq spot in the DMV area. Their smoked meats are never dry and never under-cooked. They have delicious and simple sides, especially the mac-n-cheese. The DMV isn't really well known for their bbq in my opinion, but Texas Jack's is definitely solid. Also, they have really delicious cocktails and their lavender lemonade is one of my favorite drinks. If you eat-in the servers are all super nice and fast/efficient. Food comes out pretty quick and prices are super reasonable. Portions are some of the best for the price. Last note : cornbread and butter is very good. They Do NOT put pieces of corn in their cornbread which is a pet-peeve of mine haha

Sonya M.

Yelp
This place looks small on the outside but upon walking in, it's huge! Lots of space for a bigger party if need be. The food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely come here again!

Gabriella C.

Yelp
Great happy hour deal! The bar area is huge so it is easy to get seating for the deal! The mint Berry Press cocktail was very tasty! Beers really cheap on HH too! My favorite app was the Brisket Egg Roll! The other apps were also good: Brisket Burger Sliders, Supreme nachos (2nd best), & Crispy Smoked Wings! ALSO please get the Chocolate cake -- OMG so rich! Server was nice but they were busy so it took a little longer for food to come!

Isabella C.

Yelp
I love how the happy hour isn't only at the actual bar but the entire bar area (which is pretty large)! Happy Hour deal here is soo good. The cocktails (classic margarita & mint berry press) were well-made and they had a great draft beer list with a bunch of our favs (solace partly cloudy, austin east cider, aslin volcano sauce)‍Really enjoyed the pulled pork nachos and the brisket egg rolls as the best apps! Wings & sliders were also solidThe German chocolate cake was life-changing (rich & the perfect texture). Would love to try Nashville chicken sandwich/pulled pork sandwich next time

Yelp
Absolutely great Texas style bbq at an affordable price. I've ordered their brisket sandwich and brisket egg rolls multiple times now and they haven't disappointed. Their brisket is moist with a great bark and smoky flavor. This is my new go-to in the area. It's so good I forgot to take photos.

Paul D.

Yelp
Good service and great environment. Have a bar and restaurant so you can enjoy however you want. The Bbq sampler is awesome as well as the breakfast hash and brisket. The sides like beans or potatoes add to any meal. Only trick is parking!

Lisa J.

Yelp
TEXAS Approved! We are always leery of trying barbecue outside of Texas but this place did not disappoint. The meat medley included: 1/2 lb brisket 1/2 chicken 1/2 lb pulled pork 3 pork ribs 1 link 2 sides It was more than enough for my family of three. We even have enough to take home and enjoy the next day. The brisket was so tender with not too much fat. I didn't try the chicken but my husband said the flavor was great. The pull pork was tasty. I'm but a big fan of spare ribs but my daughter enjoyed them. Three sauce options in mini containers which they allow you to take home with you. The Mac and cheese was a little dry for me. We will definitely go back when in the area.

Mehmet Y.

Yelp
We held a private private party here. The staff and food was amazing. We had things set up buffet style, brisket, smoked chicken, mac, mashed taters, brussel sprouts, ribs. I ate the brisket, cornbread and brussel sprouts. It was so delicious. The brisket is the best I have ever had on the East cost. Excellent crust, the meat was quality. It was juicy and tender and not oversalted. I want to know how to make the brussel sprouts. Sooo good! The servers were patient, warm and fast. The place was warm in spite of the cold rainy day. I didn't get to have one, but people at the party got to try the smoked whiskey sour - and now I want to go back and try that too! Great place with an awesome staff and atmosphere!

Adam A.

Yelp
Let me preface this review by saying that i flew in from California and Texas. Two places that arguably havd some of the best BBQ in America. With that said, I dined at Texas Jack's, hoping for an authentic BBQ experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of my expectations. The atmosphere was inviting, but sadly, the food left much to be desired. The biggest disappointment was the meat, which is supposed to be the star of any BBQ joint. I ordered the brisket burrito and burnt ends expecting juicy, tender cuts, but what I received was dry and overcooked. The brisket lacked that signature smokiness, and it was as if it had been sitting out too long. Instead of melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, it was tough and required a lot of effort to chew. The burnt ends, though promising in appearance, were similarly dry and devoid of any real flavor. The sides were equally underwhelming. I had high hopes for the corn and cornbread, but both were bland and uninspired. The corn was a pale imitation of what it should be--lacking the creamy, richness I was craving. The conbreadb was bland, with hardly any taste..... For a place that prides itself on BBQ, Texas Jack's really missed the mark. The combination of dry meat and flavorless sides made for a disappointing meal, especially considering the price point. I won't be returning anytime soon, as there are plenty of other BBQ that do it better.

Will M.

Yelp
If you like BBQ check out this place. Fast service. Burnt ends had tons of flavor. Ribs were fall off the bone. Chicken was super juicy. Sides complimented nicely, corn had some nice zest. Brisket had some nice meaty flavors.

Eric C.

Yelp
Fantastic brunch! We have been watching Barbecue Masters on Netflix and wanted to quench our appetite for some barbecue and this place always hits the spot. Came right when it opened and service was quick. They have a "bottomless" mimosa deal for 34$, all you can drink in 90 minutes, which is dangerous considering their mimosas are 5$.

Georgina W.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken and waffles and they weren't as crispy as I would like. Lacked flavor and needed to be drenched in syrup to make it taste good. The service was unfortunately not great. We had ordered a side that never came and it was hard to get our waiters attention to bring the check. The water was never refilled and the missing items were left on the check so we had to call the manager over to get him to correct the bill

Joshua J.

Yelp
Amazing everything ! The service was smooth and friendly . The food was tasty and fast and tasty! The ambiance I didn't notice as much because I was into everything else .

Milin P.

Yelp
I've been going to Texas Jack's for 3 years now and though the prices have gone up a little, the food has remained just as great. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Arlington/DC area and I highly recommend it. The food is always great but the standout menu items are the Brisket sandwich, the barbecue burrito (ask for the cilantro sauce on the side), nachos, and tacos. Their house spicy bbq really ties everything together as well (it's not spicy imo but tastes amazing). Their brunch is very solid too (no unlimited option, but good deals on drink and the food is great) I highly recommend the huevos rancheros. The restaurant has a decent bar and the cocktails are pretty solid but a little over priced in my opinion which is the only downside. The restaurant itself is always clean and the staff has always been super friendly. There's is a large skinny of seating indoors and outside but it does get crowded on the weekend so Fri/Sat, I'd make a reservation, especially if you have a big party. This place is great for happy hour, a date, and they welcome big groups with open arms and make splitting the bill super easy.

Yelp
I've had Texas Jack's on my radar for quite some time. Then recently, I was able to attend a Yelp elite event there. Once I sampled their food, I knew that we had to get there for a meal. We were here on a Saturday around 4 p.m. Rather early for dinner, I know. However, when I attended the event, I noticed just how tight parking is there. Thus, the reason for our early dinner as there was ample parking available at the time. Once inside, we were immediately greeted and seated at a 4 top table. We liked how there was plenty of room as the tables were very well spaced. Our server was prompt getting to us and taking our order. He was friendly and efficient. For drinks, my husband got a Coors Light. Looking at the menu, I spotted an interesting soft drink "butterscotch root beer"---never had it before, let alone heard of it. However, I was glad I gave it a try as it was quite tasty. Both the root beer and butterscotch flavoring came through clearly and complimented each other quite well. We both got the "Meat sampler" which consists of: "1/4 lb. brisket, 2 pork spare ribs, 1/4 lb. pulled pork and choice of 2 small sides". For my 2 sides, I chose "mac and cheese" which consists of: "blend of extra sharp white and yellow cheddar cheese and gruyere cheese". My second side was "coleslaw" which consists of: "green and red cabbage, carrots and mayo dressing". My husband chose coleslaw and "Texas baked beans" which consists of: "sweet and savory slow-cooked beans with brisket burnt ends". We both really enjoyed our meals. The brisket here is awesome. It is very moist and tender plus the rub adds a very prominent flavor, which we appreciated as many times in other places, the briskets seem to lack that element. The spare ribs were also meaty and tender. They, too, had a great rub that elevated the flavor. Pulled pork was fine, not dried out at all. However, my husband availed himself of the mild BBQ sauce that was brought to the table which he said added nice flavor. Neither of us tried the spicy version of the sauce. As for the sides---I liked the mac and cheese and thought the cheese blend worked well together as none of the cheeses overpowered the other. We both liked the coleslaw which is to say it's a nice basic and simple one. My husband thought the baked beans were great. He said the burnt ends were the star when it came to taste. Service was great from start to finish. The place is very clean. We both used the bathrooms and agree that they, too, were clean. We think the brisket here is some of the best we've had and that will keep us coming back when we crave some BBQ.

Brigette K.

Yelp
The best wings in the area!!! Love this place. I usually try to sit at the bar. The wings and the nachos are excellent. I've tried a number of other things and honestly the only thing I did not like was the collard greens. Their bbq meats are all amazing. We normally get the old bay wings (all flats) with a side of buffalo. I've also been here for brunch once and it was also delicious. Can't go wrong here!

Sam N.

Yelp
Brisket was excellent! Good selection of traditional barbecue and very polite service. We appreciated that the restaurant is not too loud and we could have a conversation.

Eric W.

Yelp
This is a very nice restaurant. Food - Delicious. Their potato salad was great and their tacos were amazing as well. Some portions of the brisket were good but other portions were far too oily for my taste. Service - good Parking - street parking Overall, this place is good.

Emily O.

Yelp
Love this place! Best barbecue in the area. The brisket and Parmesan Brussel sprouts are delicious. It's very specious and clean too. Service is great

Lola H.

Yelp
I'm not a big BBQ fan, but I ended up really enjoying the food here. I liked that various sauces were available and bottles were clean (not gross like at many other BBQ places ) and on the more petite side. I sat at the bar so service access was pretty quick. Spicy margarita was also on point!

Yelp
Texas Jack's Barbecue in Arlington, VA Address: 2761 Washington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201 Phone: (703) 875-0477 on September 27th 2024 I got poison, maybe salmonellas' in old chicken wings. Wing were old and not smoked only and just 20 minutes after I did had to stop to my dental clinic go go asap to bathroom cause instant diarrhoea wheng. Need my full money back. Item was not delivered as described and cause medical emergency to me. From Texas jack in Arlington VA lunch I order chicken smoked wings and was disaster that chicken was ever old smoked and then they were dip in the old vegetable oil which is toxic and deep fried half an hour after I had the diarrhea stomach problems when I was driving home from Arlington to McLean I addressed this issue next day to the manager and she was very unpolite and I got a very unprofessional and polite reply on the Google rating which was correct I do remember 7 years ago I met the cook smoking guy who was smoking the meats from your place and he told me oh one night I overslept upstairs and I left all the stuff to over smoke so so my chicken were extremely dry and it was smoked like long time ago to preserve so doesn't get spoiled and you know that just to warm up the deep fry it but I know from my godfather or famous Italian restaurant if you get the like a dark color from from the oil means the oil was not replaced for a long time it is carsogenic he's talking it's a very unhealthy to people but I did not ask for the deep fry chicken wings but I asked for the smoke supposed to be who's a lot of smoke flavor if you use correct wood and should be juicy inside and cost me you know a little bit under $20 I had no drink because I was driving just six chicken wings I do not recommend to anybody who lives in cherrydale North Arlington or fort Myers my military base or McLean to go to this place because the place is very sloppy also my bartender when I asked can you bring me some water with the lemon she dropped one lemon on the floor then she picked up and she put back on the plate so what's very disappointed about this place I don't recommend

Roy A.

Yelp
Pulled up to TJB and found parking out front, there is a parking lot in the back. Decided to go to bar for happy hour. Sat at the bar and ordered drinks and a few HH choices. All were fabulous. The wife decided to order a half rack of pork spare ribs. They were amazing, we loved the spicy sauce which wasn't that spicy. Great background music and fabulous service. Great place to come with friends.

Scott W.

Yelp
Loved the flavors. I've driven by here many, many times and not really paid attention. One evening we decided to give it a go and are glad we did. There's free parking by the restaurant for starters and once inside, we were immediately seated. The setting is casual and comfortable, great for family and friends wanting great food and a great place to hang out. Service was great as we all ordered the meat sampler, and a brisket egg roll (must try) for an appetizer. For sides we all had different things. Collard greens. Mac and cheese. Beans. Coleslaw. Potato salad. Esquites. We were all stuffed after eating only half of our meal.

Eshaan H.

Yelp
Brisket burrito is delicious! Best bbq in town. The mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts are also great.

Alison G.

Yelp
Hmm, I have to go against the grain here and say that we (the hubby and me) felt like Texas Jack's was pretty darn average. Whew, sometimes you have to just rip it off like a Band-Aid. My taste buds were ready for a five star experience based on all the great reviews, unfortunately that's not what they got. We ordered carry out and got a prime brisket double cheeseburger with an egg and fries (me), side Mac and cheese (me) and the hubby got the meat sampler that came with two sides, he got the Texas baked beans, collard greens and he ordered one additional side and chose to get the redskin potato salad. My burger was fine, I ate it all, but nothing about it stood out. The fries however were quite good, seasoned well and perfectly crunchy. The mac and cheese was good, but again I guess I had hyped myself up to be blown away. It was good though, just not bomb. The meat was quite good, it was seasoned well, tender and yummy. The sauces were just okay. The baked beans were perfectly sweet and yummy, however the collard greens and potato salad were average at best. I hate to end like this, but I have nothing more to day. Perhaps we will be back, but also maybe not.

Jordan N.

Yelp
This place really does take me back to Texas, with Texas-styled barbecue done right. But yes, this is more of a high-end Texas-style barbecue that you might find in the Austin, Central Texas area. Beef ribs were true to its form - and yes, pricey as it should be (it's pricey even in Texas). The pork spare ribs were good also. The sides were a bit trussed up for Texan barbecue - like a cucumber watermelon salad (?) and the Mexican esquites - but still followed along with the Texan flavors. Also, can't say no to their well-made margaritas. Service was good, ambience was that of a higher-end sports bar (without having to be dressy like a politician).

Yelp
Bring the sheet pan nachos back! BBQ, Nachos, Football, Oh My We are regulars, LOVE everything - food, service, ambiance! We always sit at the bar and the bartenders are very attentive and accounting. We mourn the sheet pan nachos - the bowl vibes don't equal sheet pan vibes.

Yelp
We tried a little bit of everything from this spot while hosting a Texas BBQ night with my boyfriend. We ordered wings, brisket burnt ends, a meat sampler, baked mac and cheese, coleslaw, Mexican street corn, and cornbread muffins. Even though I'm not usually a fan of meat, everything was delicious and generously portioned. The wings were a little dry, but my favorite was definitely the street corn. Securely packaged and overall a great experience.

Yelp
Have been here several times, and really do like it. My only complaint is the parking situation. Then again that's most of Arlington. The beef and pork ribs are both delicious, but the latter one is more tasty. These sticking delicious treats are the definition of yummy. The macaroni and cheese here is divine! I first discovered this at a wedding party, and once again, this has to be the best ever. They have a number of beers and cocktails. Due to a one drink rule of mine, I had a cold one with lunch yesterday, although if an Uber was an option their margaritas are wicked! They have a lot of choices food and booze wise. Service is exceptional here. Always have found the staff friendly. They can also help you whittle down the menu fast, as they definitely must try it quite frequently. If you're in this part of town go here. It's relaxed, fun, and also family friendly. I generally avoid Arlington and DC, as big cities/crowds aren't my thing. Yet this restaurant is, and will be back next month. Thank you for another job well done!

Yelp
Wow wow wow. Grest bbq and awesome vibe. We really enjoyed this place. Super cool decor and great bbq. Didn't really like the deviled eggs but otherwise great.

Yelp
BBQ spot with a solid menu and bar, high-top, table, booth, and outdoor seating options I came here on a Friday night with my GF, but we were able to walk right in They have a bunch of different options, ranging from both traditional "here's a slab of meat and a piece of bread" to more gastropub styled entrees such as a "BBQ burrito" They also have a solid collection of drinks as well My GF and I both got margaritas, and she got the BBQ nachos while I went for the BBQ burrito. We were not very impressed with any of the things that we tried, but it wasn't the worst thing we'd ever had either. If I had to define our food, I'd say "solidly mediocre" The fries that came with my burrito were probably the best thing we had

Yelp
A friend recommended we go here after the nat's game and boy am I glad we did. I'm a huge fan of Texas BBQ and the ones around NOVA haven't hit the spot like this place does. We started with drinks, in which I got a mixed drink with gin called 'The Clarendon'. Check it out if you want a refreshing cocktail. For food we started with two orders of smoked wings, garlic parm and buffalo. They were delicious and a great starter. For our entree, we got the Large Meat Medley( .75 lb. brisket, half chicken, 6 ribs, 1 lb. pulled pork, 2 sausage links, side of mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, and corn. We also ordered the beef short rib. This was enough to feed 6-7 people. I was really excited for the beef rib. Not many establishments serve beef ribs. The platter was amazing, got to taste a little bit of everything. We ended with some desserts. Key lime pie, cheesecake, and bread pudding. One of the best bread puddings out there! The restaurant is spacious. They have a lot of room for seating. Very clean restaurant. The staff is really nice as well. Parking is a bit limited but you can find street parking if there isn't room in their private lot. I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to go back here.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place, given the scarcity of BBQ places in DMV. But unfortunately, the experience was subpar given the pricetag. We started off with Kentucky-style burnt ends: Good sauce, Asian-inspired a bit, but reaaaaallly dry. They had run out of mac-n-cheese so went with coleslaw- really very mayo-ey, and some good potato salad, no complaints there. The short ribs, I couldn't help but compare to 2Fifty, as their major competitor. Other than the location, and the fact that this spot has more of a bar-vibe, I'm finding it hard to have had a memorible experience.

Yelp
We popped in for happy hour and ribs! Everything was great, except that our food was over flavored, salty and just over done with smoke! If the chef tones down on the spice and salt, it would be much more desirable! Beer was great

Yelp
I love BBQ and I try to go to the different places across the area to try and I would say this is one of the better options but the issues here are on the portion size and price. I usually get the platter with brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. The brisket was a let down in my opinion for the price it is high for thin slices. It was well cooked but mine had a bigger then normal fat cap which tells you the fat wasn't full rendered or it wasn't fully trimmed. Overall it was good not great. Pulled pork was the best I had nice and tender and well sauced to give it good spice. The ribs were good they were nice and tender but not fall off the bone which would mean they were overcooked. The sides I got were the baked beans and potatoe salad. Both were good the beans are the star with chunks of brisket mixed in.

Yelp
Oh! I needed this. After a long drive from Blacksburg I was tired, thirsty and hungry. I was greeted and seated quickly. Service was prompt, professional and on point. I enjoyed the two meat lunch special. The brisket. My mother has been sharing the family recipe and they hit it right. Moist, tender and flavorful and the pulled pork is wonderful. Oh so tasty. Street corn off the cob and cole slaw made the meal a home run for me. I'm leaving feeling great. Isn't that what the lunch break is for. Texas Jacks keeps on delivering

Yelp
Everything went SPECTACULARLY for a very special birthday. Nani and Ramsey planned a perfect party for us. Food-delicious; service-wonderful; Sergio-great and attentive; ambiance in both rooms-perfect. All in all an absolutely amazing evening. We can't thank all of you enough. And all our friends raved about the food!! Texas Jacks hit it out of the park.

Yelp
Had a hankering for BBQ and decided to dine at Texas Jacks -- so glad I did! Parking is limited in the restaurant lot, but street parking is available nearby. As a DC city girl, parking is what it is :) Plus, the walk was needed after such a delicious meal. To take advantage of the weather, my wife and I sat outside to enjoy our meal! We did not have a reservation, but they were able to seat us immediately. We each tried the Smoked Whiskey Sour (Elijah Craig small batch, fresh lemon, smoked jalapeno & brandied cherries) and it was perfectly made. In an effort to try a bit of the menu, we ordered an array of starters: Crispy Smoked Wings, Brisket Eggrolls, Jack's Tacos, Texas Baked Beans, Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Cornbread Muffins. WOW --- it was all incredible! The wings were exactly what you'd want in a smoked wing: crispy, flavorful and smoked! We opted for the Old Bay dry rub and were not disappointed. The brisket eggrolls were the perfect size and filled with flavor. The Jalapeno lime dressing used for dipping was *chef's kiss*! We tried one of each taco: chicken, brisket and pork. Without a doubt, the brisket won us over, which is why there's no surprise that the baked beans were extremely satisfying too -- they are slow cooked with brisket burnt ends included. As far as the brussels...do yourself a favor, order them. Lastly, the cornbread muffins are a must, plus the honey butter comes with them!!! I highly recommend Texas Jacks if you're in the mood for some of the best bbq in the area! I can't wait to try their HH menu soon.

Yelp
In the Falls Church/Arlington area on a weekend afternoon, and was hungry at lunchtime; Texas Jack's was a nearby BBQ joint that was highly reviewed, so decided to check it out. I parked on the side of the street, parallel parking zone which was free for 2 hours, more than sufficient time. My first time here, and got indoor seating for one immediately. The indoors area is spacious, and lots of seating options near the bar. Lot of seating available at the time I came by, so I chose an area on the couch, close by to the bar. As suggested by a review, I had the Meat Sampler that came with a half-rack ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. Pickles, cucumbers, and pickled onions (the red ones) were also provided. Add on that, a choice of sides -- I had the Texas Baked Beans and Brussels Sprouts, for a healthier side option. Meat Sampler came with 1/2 rack ribs as main dish, and was also presented with two sauce bottles, one for Spicy and the other Regular BBQ sauce. I used mainly the Spicy sauce, and it was pretty good. Ribs were spot on, correctly seasoned and right amount of salt. However, it was not "fall off the rack" good, or juicy enough to my tastes. Pulled pork was only decent. The smoked brisket was splendidly smoked, just the right amount. I liked it a little more than the ribs, as it felt slightly more flavorful to me. The beans were pretty good, and the Brussel sprouts were rather tasty and healthy at the same time. All in all, service was quick enough and pretty good, and the BBQ was spot on. I felt parts of it could have been more flavorful, but for the price and the portions it was acceptable. Also, this food lasted me even till dinner -- I did not eat dinner that day. So as far as bang for your buck, I feel the portions are generous for the price. Overall, solid BBQ joint in the Falls Church/Arlington area, and hopefully will be back at least once more, to "sample" something else on the menu.
