First time here. We were a group of 11 people. We got 2 tables and within 5 minutes the guy that was checking IDs at the entrance comes out of no where and says "I need these tables" in a rude manner. Him and a few other from staff just begin taking tables and stools. We look around and the floors were nasty dirty. We had to move over to the booths which in one of them it had throw up. We were there for only an hour or so. This place is definitely not worth it.

We had an amazing time on Father's Day!! Our party had Family that arrived in town, so due to number of people, we suggested TX Republic for music and brunch. I think they take their reviews seriously, as I witnessed the restroom being stocked and tidied up! The brunch selection from 12-4pm being replenished with fresh food consistently! Fathers Day menu served were fresh fruit, chicken and waffles(so cute the way they present them), tasty fried chicken, mini pancakes, eggs, gravy, quiche, beef, chicken, or cheese nachos, and a few other items! There's amazing music played during brunch time as advertised, and honestly they do not advertise that they're a fine dining restaurant, however a bar! ;-) The actual DJ was there as promised at 4pm, and a female rocked the house, we had to tip her for the service! Speaking of service, thank you all for treating us with such professionalism and courtesy! Have to give Kudos to the ones I interacted with; Dillion, Callie, & Anna; fabulous Bartenders! Can't forget the catering DeyDey provided our large party, and let's not forget he & Boston with those smooth moves on the dance floor! The family traveled back to their homestate, and is still speaking of an EPIC time this establishment provided! We will be returning. Only suggestion would be be a small reminder to Patrons you have the dirty dish tub are under your table! :-) We had no clue, but overall you guys work hard and thank you, thank you, and we will be returning!!

Viv was great! She was attentive sweet and knowledgeable about the menu! Will definitely request her at my next visit!

Google
My wife and I stopped in for a bite to eat. It was a cool place more on mediocre end though. You could tell that the place host some sort of events and no one cared to. Lean up afterwards. There were also pets in the place wandering around. The pet owners tried to keep them I. The designated area but they kept breaking out. I dont like pets around when I'm eating. The server wasnt the most attentive and whenever the chef came out he appeared angry. The food was standard American with a slight southern twist. Lots of places to visit in W7th area do may be a while before we're back.

If I could give zero stars for service, I would. Had a female bartender make eye contact with me 4 times, roll her eyes, walk away, slam someone's order down that she goofed up. Music was too loud, drinks were watered down and lousy. Food was cold. Amazing this place stays opened.

Google
I see a lot of comments about racism, coming in there was a black guy very friendly but when I got to the bar there was a tall Caucasian dude behind the bar not so friendly so I can see it. A lot of you definitely do not need to be in the hospitality industry I definitely must say. I wish I would have gotten his name but if you still decide to go you will definitely notice (I’m brown by the way) Texas Replubic get employees that fit the Hospitality persona because HE is not it. And I don’t tip rude, undercover racists. But on the good foot the blonde haired bartender smiled and greeted us Thank you good person for covering the role for your co worker. #Unapologetic

Google
Food was fantastic - plenty to choose from. The DJ was awful.. didnt expect club music while eating my fruit and muffin. Wouldnt let me use the free drink ticket I PAID for, when my guest had to cancel last minute.

For the best entertainment venue in Texas, head to Sameni’s top spot-the Funmaker’s concepts are always universally the best.

Yelp
Horrible Sunday brunch. It's a joke. Do not go! The brunch is like food from 7-11. Stupid app wants more words.
google avatar

Yelp
I was in line with my friend to go into the bar. Joshua and Greg checked both of our valid IDs and said "one of us needed to go to the back of the line" even though we were together. Meaning the other woman needed to enter the bar alone. Super sketchy. We both left promptly. We were not the only group they did this to.

Yelp
Brunch is awful!!! Don't waste your money. The promotion photos and advertisements are not anything what the food was like. I have had a better buffet at a Holiday Inn. The music is so loud and very vulgar language. I know it's a bar but at noon I don't need to hear the F word and the N word over and over.

Wendy F.

Yelp
Took my husband for Sunday birthday brunch, also happened to be Mothers Day. Rooftop not open, loud hip hop music playing, vulgar at that, no DJ. Seemed to not be cleaned up from 2AM bar closing. Food...not worth 20.00. One free mimosa. No condiments or additional beverages (water, tea, coffee) no service to speak of. We paid for rooftop brunch and get subpar food in a dirty after hours club room with VERY inappropriate music. Disappointed is an understatement.

Yelp
This place needs to be shut down. I went to this bar on my birthday, October 12th, 2024. My drink was roofied here and i lost all control of my body. None of the staff or bouncers helped my sister carry my limp body out. I had 3 drinks that night. If you value your life, don't come here.

Cheri D.

Yelp
Would give less than 1 star, considering the level of unprofessional staff they employee. I get it doesn't take a formal education to be a bar manager but some sort of training should be required.... After I said I won't be back, I was Blocked!!!... then I went ahead and Time the time to clarify what my tickets said. not the way you handle poor marketing. no worries they're are professionals out there that can help.. do better

Yelp
Didn't want to go to this bar cuz of the reviews but had a friend that insisted on going. Music was way too loud, you couldn't hear anyone so what's the point on having a conversation? Terrible music, definitely more of a club than a bar. The bar and tables were sticky and filthy. Saw several bartenders walk by people without giving any service. Did not have high expectations for this place, go somewhere else where you can have a drink and a conversation.

Angelica G.

Yelp
If I could leave zero stars I would. I'm leaving this review for a friend but do not go here! You WILL get pickpocketed. Our wallets and phones were stolen alongside 10 plus other peoples phones when we went to ask if anything was turned in. And the bouncer said that it was our fault and that we should've done better.

Yelp
Buffet is a scam. And when I brought it to the Managers attention maranda, she told me side saw cheese out personally ..she didn't

Yelp
Walked in with a couple of friends. Waited 3 minutes and nobody helped or greeted us. We decided to leave. Super disappointed as it was a place that I really wanted to try while on vacation.

Yelp
Went for the Texas Independence Day party and the service was terrible. Half hour in between visits from the bartender and I was sitting at the bar. Was there for 2 and 1/2 hours and had 3 other bartenders look at my empty drinks, look at me and walk past. Took me 15 minutes to get my check and that was after I reminded the bartender about it. It's not like they were busy because they weren't. More interested in their phones and talking with each other than serving the customers. Went for the crawfish and it was ok but nothing to write home about. No one cares how good the food is or the ambiance is if the people don't care. Told the person claiming to be the manager about my experience and she just nodded and didn't say a word as I told her this was the first and last time I'll be coming in. ‍

Yelp
Went for brunch. I would not waste my money or time. Thank goodness it was free for me and we only paid for one brunch. Self service, employee were nice, floor was still sticky form the night before. Flys all over the place. It was suppose to be outside brunch that is the main reason we wanted to go and it was all inside. On brunch menu it states my multiple choices for mimosas....they had one.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Walked in got greeted by one bartender and nothing after that. We sat for about 15 minutes with no even attempt to help us.
google avatar

Mel S.

Yelp
Music obnoxiously blaring, despite numerous requests to lower the volume by different parties they kept it loud, sitting areas uncomfortable, floors disgustingly dirty, service is absent.

Angela C.

Yelp
This place is a joke. We paid $415 for a high top table for 6 with a free bottle of Greygoose and Champagne and a personal server. We got there and got a couch for 3. It was right by the bar so everyone was all over us. It took over an hour and a half to get our bottle and when it came it was Belvidere... A cheap liquor. No personal server. Then at the end of the night my niece could not get her card back for like an hour and then when she got it back they charged her an extra $175... saying taxes and gratuity. I would not recommend this place EVER!!! The manager did not listen to our complaints just said "We don't give refunds" I will be taking this up with the people higher than him! I will never return!!
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money on their brunch special. Not clean. Sticky floor. You have to wait for plates to be washed to enjoy the buffet. They don't valet parking. Bathrooms are horrible. Drinks are weak. The food is actually not bad. Just don't go!!

Yelp
I went to Texas Republic on a Monday with some friends who were in town for the night. There were only 6 other people there. The atmosphere is very cool but a huge screen for tv and many small tea throughout. They have turf on the patio with a see-saw and corn hole. The bathrooms were so nicely done with at least 6 stalls to limit wait times. When I was there, the floors were a little dirty and could use a clean up. The two bartenders were very attentive and professional even with few customers. I appreciate professionalism even when the customers aren't demanding a lot of attention. I don't know if they have fixed their internet issue yet, but when we were there the music kept cutting out. It definitely caused some frustration when we were really into a song and it cut out several times. Also, they still had commercials. Seriously? If you're a bar in west 7th, you must have a solid music service without commercials. Texas Republic has potential to be a great bar as long as they get their music/internet act together.

Adam H.

Yelp
Came here today because of a FB event they posted - looked like a nice place and it is, but the service is awful- multiple employees talking among themselves or on their phones. They were offering crawfish which was tasty, but definitely not alive when they were cooked. Got a pound of crawfish served with four cocktail napkins. This place will be out of business before the summer.

Debbie R.

Yelp
Brunch choices are not that good, and music is WAY TOO LOUD. Sticky floor and water dripping from pipes onto floor.

Josi T.

Yelp
DONT WASTE UR TIME HERE. If I could rate them a 0 STARS, I would! Went with a friend and my gf @ around 11pm to get some drinks and as we're waiting for a few more friends to come inside, the "manager" comes up to us and says "we have to leave" bc my gf was "too drunk" when that was not the case at all. In confusion, we ask the manager as to why we were being kicked out but never got one because the manager did not want to "talk to us". Before we knew it we were getting kicked out by an aggressive security. This place is garbage and knows nothing about customer service.
google avatar

Yelp
This is cool concept for a bar, but the general manager, Adam, is so rude & disrespectful. I was with my daughters and spent over $250 on my tab. There was an encounter with a belligerent intoxicated customer (my observation was the bar over served this customer), where he did not conduct himself in a professional manner. I will not be back. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Cory G.

Yelp
They wouldn't let me in even though I had the same shoes on that I always wear out. Tj, a door guy here literally let me in 20 minutes prior then all of a sudden I couldn't get in for the same shoes he just oked.. I also just saw them let someone in with the same shoes. What's got me twisted is I use to come here weekly and spend some money. I hate it but it seems TXR is going down a path that singles out minority's and people that are with the culture such as myself. I'm not going to say it's racist but it's pretty borderline. It's 2020. Is this ok?? I pray the owners fix this.

Reviewer B.

Yelp
The music is lowkey wack. The drinks aren't that expensive. But the vibes are lame too. I probably won't come back here. Lo siento!

Yelp
I decided to try the pop up restaurant inside their establishment "Hot Chicks Chicken". This was my first time trying Nashville Hot Chicken . The food is made fresh to order. If you're not really into spicy food but still want flavor, I recommend getting the mild flavor for sure not spicy but still has a kick. I also tried a boozie slushee was delicious. I recommend getting the Arnold Palmer which is pictured below. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and look forward to another pop up.

Tarica T.

Yelp
This place is highway robbery. They have a sign with $50 or more there is a Gratuity fee, but my bill was less than $50 and was still charged. They are charging gratuity without you knowing when you pay with CASH or card!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!

Daniel J.

Yelp
Definitely some racist people working here.I was in line behind 10 to 15 white people to get up to the rooftop bar. Guy didn't ask a single person for an ID and let all of them right through, but then when I get to the front of the line he stops me and asks for a TCU ID. Didn't let me in so then I just stood to the side and watched the line. He kept letting more white people in without asking for ID. Do I deserve this kind of treatment just for being a black guy? Never coming back.

Yelp
Wandering around Crockett Row, we came upon this place in need of some good grub on a Sunday afternoon. The spot is spacious and always has the tunes pumping! There were door attendants when we arrived, they did check our ID's, but did not charge a cover. Upon entry, it is a very wide open floor plan with a bar, stage, and rooftop. There are several booths, tables, and room for everyone at the bar. My friend and I sat at the bar. I want to say it was Happy Hour but cannot recall completely. I do remember the young lady at the bar was friendly and attentive enough. There was an more mature gentleman that we assumed was the manager, although he later set us straight, who was very friendly and checked in periodically to make sure we were good! The drink menu is unique with hometown inspired drinks like the Fort Worth Sunset which is made of bourbon/whiskey instead of Tequila. It was pretty tasty! My favorite part of the visit is the burger I ordered which was called the Popper Burger. It has cream cheese stuffed jalapeno poppers on the burger with bacon and all of this other good stuff I devoured before acknowledging, lol! It was a really good burger. Our only con was that there was an odd smell coming from behind the bar area. I've found this to be the case with a couple of other bars that turn into "clubs" after hours. Deep clean your place so it can be free of vomit, smoke, spilled/dried beer, and whatever else that occurred the night before so us day breakers can enjoy our dining experiences, lol! Jokingly serious here. All in all, I will be back to explore more of the menu and jam out to some good tunes. There were good vibes coming from this place!

Lovedeep S.

Yelp
The drinks were alright and not ridiculously pricey but that night there was a fight. Also, I left my card there on Friday night. Called them multiple times on Saturday and no reply; so I show up and tell the security guard that I forgot my card. He said they didn't find anything when they cleaned up at night. So I decided to go in and ask the bartender just in case, sure enough they had my card.

Yelp
BIGOTRY AT ITS FINEST!!! There so called security aka klansman wouldn't let my friend in (African American) because he was wearing Airmax made by Nike.... but allowed a group of white guys in wearing classic Nike's with big check on the side.

Breanna D.

Yelp
Was just here. A whole group of us were let in, Multiple people were in different outfits.. people were let in ahead of us that were wearing different clothing out of their "club style" wear. Our African American friend came ahead of us & all of the sudden he was not let in. Due to "sagging".. which he wasn't. There was video that captured the whole moment, from when they said he was "sagging" to when we were getting kicked out for no apparent reason. Was very rude & very aggressive. The person in the picture is the "MANAGER" who runs this place. Or so he says. Very upset with how this situation was managed. We have been to TXR plenty of times & continued to plan on it until this situation.

Retta D.

Yelp
Not enought staff during Sunday Brunch time on the roof. Continually ran out of food. Food was cold tasteless and greasy. Ran out of plates. Tables n chairs not cleaned, dusty and sticky. It was about 6 of us. Unlimited Mimosas were extra which would've been great had they not just been a whole lot of juice. Hardly no food on steam table. Staff had to go back downstairs and get food by the time they did that the other food you had was cold. I've been to the brunch before and this experience was terrible. Supposedly 30 plus items on steam table. NOT. What they had you couldn't hardly tell because serving table containers stayed empty. Staff wasn't prepared including kitchen. This was a management issue. Don't mind paying but this experience wasn't worth the money at all this time. Even ran out of items for omelets, fruit, tater tots, eggs, bacon, etc, etc, etc...If there was a manager there they should have tried to rectify this sinking ship. It stayed like this the entire time we were there. From 1230 to about 230. Had to stay to try to get food over and over again. Those mimosas were like pouring syrup in cups with I guess a splash of something. Not champagne coming out of that spicket I'm sure. There was a lot of food left on tables throughout the restaurant. This was the WORST BRUNCH EXPERIENCE EVER Y'all are advertising this on Facebook getting people there and not providing a service feasible for the money charged. Staff must've been overwhelmed. It was not like this when I came before. I literally was hungry when I got home This was April 16th. I could go on but I think you get the picture.

Cole S.

Yelp
Would give it 0 stars if I could. Let me give you a summary from someone that has lived here for 2+ years. First of all there are SO many bars in this area that are not as trashy and greedy as TXR (Texas republic) I don't write reviews on Yelp, so I hope that helps make it clear never to come here. I'm writing this review because of the night I just had that basically broke the camels back for me. They denied me because of "dress code" because I was wearing a white button-up with black jeans and high top black on white shoes. Never in my life have I been denied from a bar for dress code - especially a trashy bar like this. Keep in mind, there are girls walking into this bar wearing little to no clothes and other dudes wearing basketball jerseys and other revealing clothing. The night I just had (along with other nights) was absolutely embarrassing. I got stopped, wearing my above attire, and got told in front of EVERYONE that my attire wasn't good enough. I had two very attractive girls ask me what the problem was while my girlfriend dealt with the issue while I was off to the side. They both COMPLIMENTED my outfit. Then my girlfriend, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, was told I need to pay a 20$ cover because my attire wasn't appropriate, even though two girls said I looked good. Please keep in mind I was wearing a wire button down and black jeans, nothing inappropriate. I also brought 3 girls and NO dudes with me into this bar. We ended up paying the cover but the embarrassment killed my vibe and motivation to stay out and purchase alcohol from this place (I was going to buy multiple bottles from bottle service). Again, I don't write reviews on Yelp unless absolutely necessary, check my profile. But I felt the need to write one for here. This was again the straw that broke the camels back for me, this is not the first time I have been treated horribly. I will be spending my money elsewhere from now on when I go out on weekends, again keeping I mind I have lived here for 2+ years. Do not go here. Instead I would recommend: Kung-Fu: chill atmosphere, bartenders respond quickly and there are tons of games, and an outdoor area! Varsity: pretty hectic but awesome. Two stories with an insane DJ and dancing on two floors! Never have anything bad to say about this place! Bodega: a speakeasy, but if you follow their Instagram, the password to their speakeasy is on there! Definitely a fun place to checkout! Backyard: a new bar but there are tons of games and and outdoor area with a nice staff (I'm friends with multiple of them). Right across the street from Texas Republic. Spend your money someplace else!! You won't regret it. Texas Republic SUCKS!

Yelp
I came here to watch the Tech basketball game with my Fort Worth friend Kellye K. The Tech Alumni Association reserved a few tables so we showed up a few hours early to secure good seats near the big screen and grab food before the game started. It started off well enough but between the dirty bathrooms, waitresses that mixed up tabs, and long wait times, I can't say that I would be back. The food was really good (I was surprised), drinks were decent, and not overly priced but I don't enjoy waiting long periods of time for a waitress to see if I have napkins or anything that I need nor do I particularly enjoy having over served patrons spill their drinks on me. This is a really nice establishment but very poorly run/managed. Needless to say, like the sharks on Shark Tank, "because of that, I'm out." And when I leave, I'm like Ke$ha. I ain't coming back.
google avatar

Aldo M.

Yelp
The smell of the establishment is unpleasant and can be overwhelming. The place is nice they just need more upkeep
google avatar

Mariah F.

Yelp
Went on a TUESDAY it was not even packed and the service was terrible. It took 45 min to get a drink and all the staff was rude, the bartenders were basically trying to ignore you. And to top it off... the place closed at 930 and they turned the music off and kicked us out with short warning. We had just ordered shots and they took so long we got kicked out before we got them.
google avatar

Thomas D.

Yelp
If I could rate this establishment with a zero star review I would. I have personally never seen racial discrimination until last night. Me and 8 buddies walk up to the door to have some drinks. We all get let in the door but my one black friend. They said he wasn't aloud in because he was wearing Jordan's. I walked in with Nike's on right before him with no issue. The rude door keeper had no response when I tried to understand what the difference was in our shoes. I was wearing green Nike's and he was wearing red NIKE Jordan's. I will never spend a dime at this place. I hope people read this and it hits home. Not only did it upset our entire party, but imagine how my buddy felt. To be the only black guy in our group and not aloud in because he was wearing red shoes. It's not over with me and how I proceed to touch on this issue. My family owns a home in SO7 and I will make it clear that nobody in our community goes there. We will make it clear through our HOA and spread the word with the higher ups in the Fort Worth community that this place is not welcome in our neighborhood. We will get this place shut down, just a matter of time.

Yelp
I have been here a handful of times but usually for a quick drink. Last night went for the first time where I stayed for awhile. First off, the service was okay. Not great but okay. The female waitresses really care more about their appearance rather than customer service. The food is awful. Ordered the trashcan nachos and absolutely zero cheese. The person next to me ordered the same and zero cheese on theirs. The restaurant wants to use the excuse of being busy. Well, that comes down to having enough staff and better training.

Emily P.

Yelp
Terrible service, thought maybe we had accidentally stumbled into a strip club with the girls working in there in g-strings and bras. Felt super trashy.
google avatar

Kayla D.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, music and food! Probably one of the better places for brunch on 7th also. Dog friendly and super awesome staff! Super packed on Saturday nights but usually no crazy line which is good! Excited for the upcoming roof top!

Yelp
Easily the worst bar in the W 7th/Crockett row area. Staff is rude and inconsistent with "rules."

Yelp
We need to do better !!! So this review is just my experience at the door tonight... So u know we bar hopping with no problems.. I get to Texas republic and one of the door guys was checking outfit prior to walking up.. so I knew this was going to be an issue he walks over to the other guys says something to him they both look at and he continues to check IDs.. I get to the door in a "white tee shirt long length with a red undershirt" & the door guy goes we can't let u in with a white tee... As I look thru the door 6 guys had on basic tee and white tees... So look and behold who comes out the door with a white tee on and walks right out.. NO UNDERSHIRT OR NOTHING... The door guy goes " OH HE BROUGHT A BOTTLE" SOOO... How u know he brought a bottle and u outside ??? Sooo upon getting waiting for another friend who was in the club to come out... Walks in 3 other guys with white tees nothing else on !! Sooo then the door guy is like u can take off ur shirt and come in with a basic red tee shirt ??? WHATS THE DIFFERENCE.. if the shirt is blue .. green. Purple or yellow ??? ITS STILL A TEE-SHIRT???.. I just told him no I don't spend my money at establishment that don't respect me and my fashion... I'm good I'll just inform others because my voice and keyboard will say everything that needs to be said !!! HAVE A GREAT NIGHT.. If y'all are going to have such a strict dress there needs to be a big sign u can point too and not just randomly pick and choose what is appropriate or not!! Thanks but u won't ever get my business!!! I'll spend it on white tees and go to the dirty Crow!!

Yelp
Pros: There's "Texas" in the name. Cons: Veteran hating, rude worthless staff. They are proud to deny you entry for any reason, even if they have to make the rule to bar you up on the spot. Alcohol is severely overpriced and the food is atrocious. Don't waste your time. Waffle House will treat you better.
google avatar

Kenni Z.

Yelp
Eh, there's so many better bars around. They'll kick you out of seats if someone else buys em without putting a sign or anything. Bartender was friendly at least. Smells really weird...
google avatar

Erika W.

Yelp
They let bitches in tables with bottle service dance like no other but a group of 3 can't dance at their Pune table. Not hurting anyone. And nobody at the table had mask. At least 15 ppl who were at table no masks

Yelp
Worst bar ever overcharged on my bill any wouldn't correct it. Buyer beware the scam a lot people!!

Yelp
Stealing peoples money seems like a common practice at this bar. I went to the bar on 01/31/2020 with some friends, ordered 1 drink (titos and water to be exact), and left my tab open because of the required 10$ minimum. When I went to close out the tab I had done so on the other side of the bar from where I had first originally ordered my one and only drink. When I closed my tab, the girl who was at the register repeated the "it is a 10$ minimum for credit cards" requirement. She then asked if I had "cash", Because my tab was under $10, and I said yes. I handed her a $100, she made she it was real, opened the register to find she didn't have enough change, went underneath the register for her overflow money to stock up the register again, then gave me back $73. I had told her my card was on the other side of the bar and she went ahead and just kept taking other peoples orders. I went to the other side of the bar to get my card, and tell them that I'm missing cash because my tab was under $10 and I had only gotten the 73$ back. When talking with another bartender, she told me theres nothing she could do, so then I had to ask her 3 times to get somebody who I can talk to. When I finally did get a hold of the guy running the bar, he listened to my story and went back and forth to the girl who gave me the wrong amount of cash back. He finally came to the conclusion that in fact, there is nothing they can do about the situation and he can "comp me shots" for her stealing my money. I refused his offer because that does not do it justice that his bartender STOLE FROM ME IN FRONT OF MY FACE. And they also charged the card for $15... the card I was supposed to get back bc I was paying cash

Yelp
Terrible staff. I was kicked out on a Tuesday night. It was loud up front by the karaoke so I went to the back where it was quieter. I laid my head down for 10 seconds and the front door guy kicked me out. Was rude, didn't give me a warning. He almost made me leave without notifying my girlfriend who was up front. She had my phone too. I would not go back!!

Yelp
This place is very boring. Very whack. Unpleasant atmosphere and food. You're better off going to Dennys. If I could give it no stars I would.

Yelp
Fun place. Went for brunch, the three meat hash was delicious. And can't beat bottomless mimosas for $10! Seems like a good place to watch sports too with all the TVs. Fun spot
