Very good food, and experience, at this restaurant -
Our server was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
The food came out fairly quickly and with the right timing: a basket of their delicious rolls were placed on our table very soon after we were seated, and water glasses were brought over shortly after that; our drinks, appetizers were next, and finally our entrée meals a few minutes later.
There were three of us in our party. I had a Texas-size pour of the house Cabernet, my husband had a key lime margarita, and our friend had a tall glass of the seasonal beer (I don't remember the name of the beer, but it had a pinkish tint to it and although our friend raised an eyebrow when he first saw it placed on the table in front of him, after tasting it he said he actually enjoyed it) .
Everything was nicely presented and tasted good, (although my husband said he didn't think there was much alcohol in the margarita..)
My husband and I each had the 6 ounce filet, done medium, and both were perfect.
I had a side of sweet potato and a Caesar salad and I enjoyed both of them.
My husband had a side of a loaded baked potato and a house salad and he said he enjoyed both of those.
The portion sizes were very good and each of us had leftovers to bring home for tomorrow's lunch.
My husband ate all of his filet, of course, but left half of his loaded baked potato. I had half of my filet to take home, along with half of my sweet potato.
For our appetizers we had the fried pickles and a cheese fries - both were very good and to my surprise I enjoyed the fried pickles even more than the fries. Definitely a must try with their house made ranch dressing!
Overall, this was a great meal with a local friend for our first night as official Kentucky residents! (We have relocated from Southern Nevada and we arrived in town just this morning after our 5 Day road trip with our little dog across the country!)
