Looking for an inexpensive steak dinner? This is a good option, but you'll likely need to be patient, lucky, or go during an off-time! We arrived around 5 PM on a Wednesday and were surprised at how busy they already were. We did get a table, but shortly after we arrived there was a wait to get in. Prices are very reasonable, and our service was very good - pleasant, efficient, and friendly.
We were a group of 3 - my wife and I each got the 6 oz. sirloin, which as it turns out is part of the early dining special which we didn't even check out on the back page of the menu! It's a bargain at $8.99 for the steak; heck, at the regular price of $10.99 it's also a good deal. For our sides we had in total a baked potato, sweet potato, green beans, and corn, all of which were good - just what you'd expect. The other diner in our party got the 11 oz. sirloin, which he ordered rare. He was very pleased with the temperature of the steak. He got corn and steak fries, which he enjoyed.
It had been a while since we'd been to a Texas Roadhouse, but they still have the hot, fresh rolls with the tasty honey cinnamon butter and with a bucket of in-shell peanuts on the table to munch on while you're waiting for your food.
The atmosphere is a bit loud at times, especially when there is a birthday or a dance taking place, but it's all in good fun. There's something on the menu for almost everyone, and you can size out your steak to satisfy your appetite.
