The 12 Essential Dog-Friendly Dallas Patios

"The space formerly known as Toller Patio has a new name but a not-too-new look. Bring a furry friend and enjoy a pimento grilled cheese sandwich, a chicken tender basket, and beers and cocktails under blue umbrellas outdoors." - Courtney E. Smith, Leslie Chatman

Check Out Toller Patio, a Colorful New Outdoor Drinking Destination in East Dallas | Eater Dallas

"At 3675 Ross Avenue in Dallas, I visited Toller Patio Kitchen + Bar, a 15,000-square-foot, dog-friendly patio with a desert-chic, mid-century-inspired look, plenty of room for outdoor games, 17 flat-screen TVs and a centerpiece of lighted 12-foot palm trees; the bar’s name is inspired by the Tolling Retriever, so pups are welcome. Hide’s Director of Beverage Scott Jenkins put 12 cocktails on tap, including a Pink Drink with vodka, strawberry and lemon; the Castaway with rum, lime, caramelized pineapple and passionfruit; a frozen Grapefruit Spritz made with champagne, vodka and grapefruit; and a Bramble with rye whiskey and blackberry, plus special shots and a selection of wine and beer. The kitchen is turning out a laidback menu of snacks, full meals, desserts and brunch items—think buffalo ranch drip accompanied by Ruffle chips, elotes, wings, burgers, breakfast tacos and dark chocolate soft serve, with ice cream for dogs too. Hours run 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, with happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday." - Adele Chapin

East Dallas Will Soon Be Home to a New Patio Bar | Eater Dallas

"A new patio-focused bar at 3675 Ross Avenue just east of Highway 75, designed as a laid-back drinking destination with a midcentury-modern interior and a sprawling, dog-friendly 12,000-square-foot patio for fair-weather gatherings. The concept emphasizes casual, draft cocktails and approachable bar fare such as burgers and chicken wings, and is slated to open in spring 2019. It aims for a more relaxed, less laboratory-like approach to libations than the owners' other project." - Amy McCarthy

Went here to grab some drinks and watch football over the weekend. Very open and relaxed atmosphere. The ordering is done from your phone which I find to be the best feature of the place. Drinks are a little pricey ($12 for frozen margarita) but this is definitely the average for downtown Dallas. Highly recommend for a casual day or night out with a group of friends and your dog!

Google
Lots of patio space. Very dog friendly. In case you're unfamiliar, you have to download the TabbedOut app to order. Very easy and convenient. You don't have to wait for someone to bring the check. My food order got lost and I had to have someone track it down. However, I'm assuming it was a one time thing.

Has a great outdoor hang out vibe. Very kid and pet friendly! The food is fast and delicious. The service was excellent. I'm working my way down the drink menu but I haven't got to a bad cocktail yet.

Google
It's a Sunday Funday patio bar! Impressed with the web menu/ordering app. No need to wait for a waiter. Just one click and your beer is in your hands in less than 3min. Large flat screens everywhere to watch any game. Oh and very dog friendly with a doggie menu and water bowl.

Google
I enjoyed this place for a late night drink and dinner after an event in Dallas. Loved the outdoor seating and how open it was. They were playing some music too. I liked being able to order electronically. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was pretty good as well! I’m glad google recommended it to us.

Google
Parking lot vibes. Honestly one of the worst “patios” in Dallas. Zero shade. Remote service (order on an app). Half of their menu was “sold out”. They clearly don’t cares about aesthetics either... Photos taken on a Saturday afternoon should speak for themselves. Giving two stars because they didn’t do anything ~wrong~ … they just didn’t do anything right.

Google
very fun outdoor bar experience!! the staff was so friendly, vibrant colors and lights, and easy no contact ordering and payment all from an app!! i loved that, how cool. tv’s are all over the walls and would be a great place to catch a game. prices are great, i will be back for happy hour!

Google
Super fun vibe but super expensive drinks. $10 for a margarita that was maybe 8 oz... $6 for an Altstadt Kolsch that was the same size. Seems a bit pricy. Bud Light was $1 cheaper and a larger pour

Yelp
Such a cool spot to watch almost any game imaginable. They had a TV every 5 feet surrounding the courtyard. Will definitely be the go to spot for all the fall football

Yelp
Bad food, mediocre service, bad vibes. Ordered the fried chicken here and it was stringy and dry. Clearly was old, dried out, and overcooked. Some kids were playing with a ball, in the area where outdoor games are, and a worker yelled at them. We walked a couple miles to get here to find it mostly empty, the bar out of frozen drinks, and all the food just bad. My friend, who wanted to come here, insisted "these cheese fries are normally not like this" but I knew better. The MLB is in the postseason, TVs playing it, but instead they've got a local band of high schoolers playing rock music. Which, fine, whatever, but the band's mic is piped into the speakers surrounding the tables and TVs, and it makes for a jarring experience. Not my favorite. Once I walked in, I knew this establishment, which I had been to twice before, was not my favorite. But this time, after one more chance, they blew it. Not gonna come back.

Yelp
Had a good time and some tasty food! This is a great place to hang out, visit with friends and enjoy some good food and drinks. Casual outdoor area, plenty of shade, friendly staff, easy to order via a QR link.

Yelp
This is the former Toller Patio. Nothing has changed. You order from their website and a runner brings you the food. Hopefully you have no questions about the menu. It nice on a nice day. Sounds like a sports bar with overwhelmingly loud game coverage so consider that / when you go. Tiny parking lot. Uber is your and your car's best bet.

Yelp
Good drinks for a reasonable price. Dog friendly and has games a good game selection. Enough shade if you want it and plenty of water for the pups. They have a menu for the dogs as well which is nice
