Texas Waterboys Sprinkler Repair and French Drains - Carrollton

Cristian and his team did an amazing job. They were priced competitively with the foundation companies, but the difference was that he listened to my problem and worked with me to create a solution. Water had been coming into my house since last year due to pour irrigation, and a slopping property. Cristian planned for a French drain as well as a sump pump to ensure that the water would move from the house and to the street. The team worked tirelessly for 4 days on what was originally supposed to be a 2 day project, completing the project before the rain this week. Last night we had what looks to be 1.5 inches of rain over about a 1 hour period and no puddling or issues anymore. the system is working as designed and extremely effectively! They even went out of their way to source the rock I wanted to cover the irrigation system. They care, and go above and beyond, after getting 6 quotes I can say they were the correct choice.

I used this company 20 plus years ago, and while it’s grown, the service has not changed! Cooper went out of her way to see how she could squeeze us in knowing we had already trouble shooter and couldn’t stop the link. The technicians came over as quickly as they could as their day was ending and were more than fair on pricing! Highly recommend them!!!

Buyer Beware … Waterboys sells only Hunter products, which are pricier and less user friendly than other brands such as Rainbird. If a new sprinkler head needs to be adjusted for “pressure and/or direction, technicians do not have “keys” to make adjustments for any brand other than Hunter. The sprinkler head will be replaced with a Hunter brand. This is fairly expensive. If you ask about a warranty for a new controller, you may be told that there is a 2 year warranty. It will not appear in writing on the invoice, the controller, the manual or any other paperwork. When I called the company. I was told to look “on the back” of the controller. At the top of the inner panel, there is a sticker with the manufacturer date, which was over a year prior to installation. Hunter’s website states it provides a 2 year warranty from the date of manufacture, but the warranty is valid only for the original installer of the product. Waterboys is the original installer. In other words, you have no warranty because Waterboys refuses to put any warranty information in writing. Be ready to pay cash or write a check if you do not want to pay an additional 3 percent. This information is also not shared upfront.

Grant and his team are professional, efficient and reasonably priced. They helped send two downspouts from our house out to the alley to avoid pooling by our foundation. When one of the drains had an issue a couple weeks after the initial work, they came out and fixed the problem within 48 hours at no extra cost.

I have used this company for two years. They charge $150 an hour to change per zone plus supplies. Everything was ok until new management, I guess (that is why they get one star). Be careful. I had a $1,300 repair job but the guy on the job was trying to undercut his own employer he worked for by telling me his friend could do it cheaper. He was completely trying to screw his employer. Not only is that dishonest to his employer but his employer WON’T EVEN CALL ME BACK TO FIX RESIDUAL ISSUES! (Photos attached, heads blowing up, heads not spraying… etc) I wish this company good luck but they won’t be in business much longer if they continue to hire a crew that’s aimed to destroy them. We hired TX waterboys to repair some gutter and landscape irrigation pipes that were ruining our foundation. We were blown away by the quality of the work. They truly left things in a far better condition than they found them. That corner of our yard actually looks nice now! They were professional, on time, and skilled. Lastly, we sincerely appreciated that they worked with our budget. They did everything they could to stay within our agreed upon amount and we very much appreciate it. AD came out to do some significant sprinkler repairs along with a system check. Every step of the way he kept me updated and informed. The work was quality. The cleanup was pristine. I’ve had Texas Waterboys out to do work now a few times and this is the standard they consistently achieve. They’ve got me for life.
