Warning! This is lengthy as the problem Texas Waterboys solved was complex.
The excellent sprinkler company that had serviced our house for 25 years closed when the owner suddenly died. They referred me to Texas Waterboys. They told me they could handle a Weathermatic SL 1600 Smart controller (a common controller). My rain sensor was not working. They came out and replaced it with a Hunter rain sensor, which they normally use. When only one zone came on, they came back out and informed me that the "smart" mode would no longer work, and I had to use "basic" or manual mode. I was very unhappy. I then discovered the Smart sprinkler settings were ignored unless the optional Weathermatic SLR Wireless rain sensor was present. The replacement by a Hunter part that was not wireless had defeated my entire sprinkler system, which adjusts each zone based on rain/temperature/ etc from the wireless SLR.
Now, Christian, one of the managers came out to determine and fix the problem. He installed the correct Weathermatic part and now the system runs perfectly. This involved several calls and different equipment. I give Waterboys a lot of credit as I was not charged for the calls or equipment that were incorrect. I am very happy with Waterboys and will continue to use them. Christian absolutely knew the Weathermatic products and expertly handled the whole situation.
I'd also recommend Rose, who is a scheduler at Waterboys and who I was lucky enough to get when I texted their number. She handled multiple interactions with me and texting was an easy way to communicate with Waterboys.
