Buyer Beware … Waterboys sells only Hunter products, which are pricier and less user friendly than other brands such as Rainbird. If a new sprinkler head needs to be adjusted for “pressure and/or direction, technicians do not have “keys” to make adjustments for any brand other than Hunter. The sprinkler head will be replaced with a Hunter brand. This is fairly expensive.
If you ask about a warranty for a new controller, you may be told that there is a 2 year warranty. It will not appear in writing on the invoice, the controller, the manual or any other paperwork. When I called the company. I was told to look “on the back” of the controller. At the top of the inner panel, there is a sticker with the manufacturer date, which was over a year prior to installation.
Hunter’s website states it provides a 2 year warranty from the date of manufacture, but the warranty is valid only for the original installer of the product. Waterboys is the original installer. In other words, you have no warranty because Waterboys refuses to put any warranty information in writing.
