I have not been here in a long time. I went here pretty late on a Saturday night and close to closing time with some family from out of town, after hanging out downtown. I want to give a BIG THANK YOU TO THE STAFF who was working the late shift on 8/16/25 for being very welcoming, accommodating and still very friendly and helpful with us coming in very last minute, even if there were like three other tables full of people at the time. They were nice and kind while we were ordering our food and drinks. Drinks and food were good and we all had a very good experience. Thanks again. Would recommend. 👍🏽👍🏽

Good chicken pasta 🍝, professional service 👍, and a calm, lowkey vibe. I’ll be honest, some of the women working there are fine 😉. The bar area looks clean and kept up. I’d come back.

We drove from St. Louis for New Year’s festivities.. decided to eat here because we came over the summer and service was wonderful. It was the best thing I have ever eaten. Our server was wonderful at that time. Fast forward to last night was a party of three. We walked in the door and stood there for about 15 minutes and then a young lady came and literally just said how many I said three she walked away, grabbed three menus so we followed her. She literally threw the menus on the table and walked away. We were in a booth and the seat was not cleaned. We sat and waited for about another 20 minutes and then the bartender who wound up being our server came to get drinks. Mind you it was not especially busy, but I thought it was weird that the bartender had to wait tables. She wound up being our same server from the summer. The drinks were horrible. Mine was supposed to be multicolored. I forget the name of it, but it only has two colors in it so they let me know something was missing. Our daughter had the sangria, which was trash and the other person drink was really watered and full of ice. We waited another 30 minutes for our food to come out because the bartender was making drinks the entire. As we were waiting, we noticed a group of about six come through the door. They waited for about 20 minutes, One of the gentlemen approached the lady that we assumed was the manager because she was dressed professional, and she spoke up and said the manager will be there to see you in a second. She has the long red hair… That’s who sat us.. So the manager is the one that had the bad attitude??? After about five more minutes, they wound up walking out. We noticed the Manager was standing back watching them and we were wondering why she didn’t seat them. When our food did come out, the broccoli on both of our salmon plates was room temperature, the rice was very sticky and the cheese on the macaroni and cheese was not even melted. My daughter got the burger she asked for it to be medium well and it was medium, but palatable. Our bill was only $122 but this was the worst service and the worst food I have had in a long time. I do come to Chicago quite often, but I definitely will not return here.

Took my mother to Friday's, 153 E. Erie today for her first time 1/3/2026. Somewhat disappointed with our food order, which we were served old and hard French fries , however our waitress Senetha was very polight and professional and she went back and got us some hot and fresh fries. My Mother was pleased with her BBQ Ribs. I like the Beyond Cheeseburger however, it could have been a more hot when served, the macaroni was not so great. the Mac and cheese was soupy with melted cheese on top. Plastic water cups and plates needs to be updated. The drinks were very tasty, and our glasses were clean. Overall, I would go back however, the food quality, plates, cups and utensils needs improvement. Cooks may need to be evaluated or changed.

I will never go back to this place. They tried to sneak and upcharge me a "party" service fee of $35 for 2 adults and 3 kids which normally covers EIGHT people or more. I have been here before with a big party and it does NOT apply to regular families!! They tried to say it was because the 2 adults ordered 5 margaritas. Boyyyy, talk about hot!! I have ordered 4 drinks by myself and came with a couple of friends who ordered 4 or more each and we have NEVER qualified as a PARTY because of the amount of drinks we ordered!! On top of that, I asked for a REGULAR margarita and they did give me that but they put it in a Fri-Yay Margarita glass with a bunch of ice so they could charge me the higher price of $15.19 each. There are no prices on the menu for the drinks and now I see why. And you know how I know they were regular margaritas? NONE of the drinks had any Grand Marnier in them!! The manager said it was because of the Patron. AGAIN, I ORDERED 5 REGULAR MAGARITAS. How was I supposed to know? They LOOKED like regular margaritas, had NO Grand Marnier, and TASTED like regular margaritas and were FULL OF ICE. I just let it ride and she did discount the $75.95 with $13.50 for the appetizer. The food was subpar and the waiter was nice. Nothing to scream about. There was no one in there so it was pretty quiet so that is how they got the 3 stars for atmosphere. I only gave them 1 star for the food because the kids liked it. However, my sizzling chicken and shrimp was completely gross and had me throwing up everywhere. All of the food to be honest was pretty "dried out." This used to be my after-work spot in the summer at least twice a week but they do not have to worry about me anymore. So, in summary, WATCH YOUR BILL!! And, do NOT order the sizzling chicken and shrimp entree! I ended up paying $200 and had to fight for that. I guess they thought I wouldn't notice or know about the extra fee. But, TRUST. When I get a $250 bill for 5 iced-up margaritas for $75.95, 2 kids meals for $10 each, 2 $30 trays, and a gross entree of $26 which is WHY I ordered the second $30 tray, I NOTICE. Next time, I will just go to Applebee's for a 2 for $25 deal with TWO appetizers and feed EVERYONE for $50. Like my Pops used to say, EVERYTHING SHINY AIN'T GOLD.

Our waitress was amazing the food was amazing and it was my bestie's birthday so this was the prefect place to go but food and service was amazing will be back next year!!!!

This establishment was cold. don't know if the waitress didnt check on our food, but the service was slow, food came out late my son didn't get his appetizers, his chicken for his entree was undercooked. It wasnt a good experience. One member in our party had a birthday crown & sash on. We paid the check & had to remind her of the complimentary ice cream. The staff was very friendly and attentive . The food was great. Walking distance from many of the hotels and river.

Service was good I would give her 5 stars but the food was terrible. We came for the .50 wings on Monday and the bone in wings were so dry it was like chicken jerky with sauce slapped on. Definitely would not order that again.

This TGI Friday's location is a good size. It's not horribly small, but it is not big. The location doesn't look like they have been keeping up with the appearance of the restaurant or maintenance. The walls look dirty and sticky, and our table was a little sticky and old looking. Besides the appearance of the restaurant, our waitress was amazing and the food was OK. When I received my burger and fries it was all on one side of the plate like it was ready to fall off. So presentation wasn't the best.

Floor inside the location was nasty. Service was good. Good was nasty. Ordered a steak and it was tough as nails (I ordered medium.) I don't have a TGI Fridays in my home area and was soooo excited to eat here but it wasn't good. My Strawberry Hennessy drink was good.

12/26/2024 visiting family in Chicago. I had to get away and take 15 minutes for myself. TGI Fridays is just around the corner from our hotel and I came in for just some good ole fries, soft drink and people watching. My waitress was so friendly and understood the need to "escape", LOL. The place was clean, inviting and festive and my fries were just what I needed. BTW, I know you have thought of escaping for your 15 minutes of sanity too.

Food and service was horrible. The chicken was fried so hard it broke my tooth. I asked to speak to a manager he came and said his wife had broke her tooth and he had to take her back to Mexico to get her teeth fixed. What does that have to do with me. I've called 4 dentists trying to get an appointment. I called corporate and guess relations to speak to someone. They sent my call to voice-mail.

So the food was OK nothing special spent around $50 for appetizer and a few drinks. was going to the movies afterwards and I let my server know. I still had to wait a very long time for my drinks my food, a straw and the check. My server was gone so long I thought they did a shift change, but she was still there. I still tipped, but the promptness of the service is what I found troubling considering it was pretty slow in there. I saw only five tables with people, mostly couples, and at least five staff members. I also felt like my drinks were being paced out, even though this was Happy Hour. The drinks felt paced out. Next time I go out, ask for a few drinks upfront. The environment was clean and quiet. The ambience was chill, with music playing in the background.

We had a Horrible experience. We waited over an hour for our food. They brought our bill but we didn't even have our food yet. The staff was arguing with each other. At this point, I'm considering leaving as we still don't have our food.....

This Fridays was terrible. First, the hostess barely said one word to us and acted very irritated that we had even come in. Then our own waiter was the very unfriendly. The topper was, I witnessed a waitress delivering food to the table next to our and she was aggressively chewing gum! In what world is chewing gum while delivering a meal, ok? None! It was disgusting. We will never, ever go to any Fridays again. If I could give it zero stars I would

In the area and searched for happy hours nearby. This location has all day happy hour (beer-wine-cocktails-shots). For food we got comp Chips & Salsa (join rewards), chicken tenders and sliders. For drinks we got Electric Lemonade, Whiskey Sour for $4 bucks each. I really enjoyed the sliders and would get again. The sliders were grilled just right. All in all a good dining experience. Our bartender/server Hailey was very friendly. She maintained contact with us and explained the process for making the hapy hour shots. Prices have gone up all over but this was an affordable dining expenses. This location does to brunch on weekends.

Matt & Kayla are a pleasant surprise ! I was hesitant at first after the bad experience at another restaurant in the area. The customer service and friendly faces made me want to write this positive review-

Even when they're swamped they make an effort to deliver great customer service. I keep coming back! (Even though this is my first time talking abt them via Yelp) Shoutout to the bar folks especially--Michelle and Matt!

We stopped by for brunch and it was empty! But why?? Service was fast, polite, professional, and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. The menu was easy to navigate. We ordered the chicken and waffles special. It was not anything special, but with four big chicken breast strips and a big waffle, it was fresh, filling and tasty! The restaurant should be busier!

Always a great place to stop in. This particular visit was different. Got seated, ordered iced teas and our waiter brought iced coffees. He was also rather slow in doing things. Mind you it wasn't as crowded and we also informed him we would wait a couple minutes for him to situated the table next to us. Even that flew by and we waited additionally. Being that we were on travel and were using individual payment methods we informed the waiter we would like separate checks. In closing he brought one check, informed him of the need to split, waited an additional 10 minutes and he brought checks. Very appreciative of the extra time but I am not sure if that was what made this visit constitute 3 stars. Food was great as always.

No hostess, so we sat at the bar. I watched a large group just stand by the door for 10-15 minutes without being helped (because there was no hostess) and the guy working behind the bar on 12/9 @ 3pm was not only rude to us for absolutely no reason, he was also inattentive. I never leave bad reviews but this was a ridiculous experience to have while on vacation here in Chicago. Steer clear of this place. Leaving 2 stars because the other employees were nice, and the Christmas decorations are cute. Update: posted this review while still sitting at the bar, he also rang our cards up wrong and put my friends food on my card. You've got to be kidding me. Hands down the worst service ever.

The service was just ok. The food was mediocre. And we traditionally enjoy TGIFridays. We wanted something easy and familiar near our hotel so we chose this. I wish we wouldn't have. I did enjoy the music they were playing.

Came in for a late dinner tonight & really enjoyed it! I was greeted at the door & offered a table of the bar area as I was a party of one. After choosing the bar, I had a short wait until I had a glass of Prosecco in front of me & my dinner order placed. Thoroughly enjoyed & would highly recommend the salmon with jasmine rice & broccoli. Really great location, just off Michigan Ave!

Of all places in Chicago to eat, my daughter chose TGIFridays for her bday lunch after shopping. We eat here ALL the time back home and love Fridays. Anyway, I tried to find my receipt to give the waitress we had this 5 star review and unfortunately I think I threw it away. We were there around 1ish on the 28th. We sat at a booth to the left when you walk in. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was attentive, kind, and paid attention to all her tables needs. She gave my daughter a hug and told her happy birthday and brought out some ice cream. She seemed like such a genuine person and was great. I hope management sees this and knows who I'm talking about because she deserves recognition. I hate that I didn't keep the receipt to mention her by name.

Did you guys know TGI Fridays serve breakfast? Well they do and it's delicious and reasonably priced. I got the steak and egg (came with crispy potatoes, toast and a choice of sausage or bacon). The food was very fulfilling and great and my waitress "Mireya" was attentive and awesome

We came here to get some late night dinner and never got waited on. The waitress was lazy and shitty. Never ever coming back here. Stay away!!

Used to a "must visit" when I was in Chicago - but now it's no longer on the list. My "frozen" Margarita was ice-cubes, not frozen. Server pushed me to order all at once - which is ok, but it is not ok to bring out starters and main course at the same time. They were out of coleslaw which I consider to be a staple in such establishments. No extra sauce or garnish on my ribs - it looked pretty bleak.

This was the worst experience I've had in a while. The wait was terrible, we were told 15-20 minutes and I should've took that as a sign. The hostess told us we had to wait because the waitress didn't clock in yet. However, we finally made it to a table and ordered a drink-- my friend's water had a random seed in it. And my drink had a BUG y'all. This location should honestly close down, I ordered a burger and immediately getting home I felt sick and nauseous. Do NOT waste your time going here. PLEASE.

It was fine, not at all as bad as these reviews would've made me think. Our server was great, complete opposite of hostess, food was decent, but the place was empty. Rice and green beans looked good, but bland. The hostess though. Bright blue hair to offset the red eyes and hatred of her job lol If 'my dealers gonna be asleep by the time I get off' was a person. Functioning alright, but ma'am I need utensils and you could alternate your pacing and growling to another aisle occasionally. Might I suggest a figure 8 around the bar?

Beside great food, reasonable happy hour drinks (all day long), I must point out that bartender Matt is the best in all the land! Relatable, personable, Matt gets to know his patrons, listens, and empathetic. (This TGIF's is right next to the hospital). We've spent a few months in the area now, and always choose to come back. The drinks are ALWAYS spot on, food is fast and fresh. We choose to sit at the bar only, hoping to see our fav bartender. TY Matt for making these hospital days a little bit brighter, a little bit better.

I visited this TGIF on a Saturday last month for a dinner outing with my 11yr & 23yr sons. I read the reviews first and almost decided against it but said why not. We got there at about 9pm. I decided to do valet. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because if you pay valet with a card its a dollar or two higher than paying in cash and you have to pay up front after a certain time. For it to be a Saturday evening it wasnt crowded which was good because we were seated right away. The waiter who was a very nice and even patient when my son wanted to place his own order. The mozzarella sticks were hot, fresh and good. I had the Ny strip steak which was ok but thats because I'm to going to steak houses. My youngest had the chicken fingers which must have been good because he ate them all and he is picky. My oldest son had the shrimp and chicken pasta which he enjoyed. Overall nice restaurant and was not as bad as I thought it would be. I would go again.

Food was amazin! Our sever was quick and nice, and the manager was really friendly and talkative, easy to have a conversation with.

They say that there open but they are closed. Why don't you update the menu prices in your site and the hours. Walked in the rain because it said it was open!!!!

Recently, stopped into this restaurant for an early dinner. The restaurant is in a great location - right off of Michigan Avenue. This is a standard TGI Fridays.... don't except that much. When I had arrived, I was seated right away. Nancy, server, had greeted me shortly. The menu has mostly some type of burgers and few full entrees. I had ordered the Fish & Chips with a side Caesar. Within a few minutes, both the salad and the main entree was brought to me. Both the salad and the Fish & Chips were okay. Typical suburban restaurant in the city.

A great night come enjoy our favorite platter of wings. This place is an old family favorite. Not much has changed. It's clean and well maintained. Our server Victor was very attentive. We haven't been here in about two years. The manager came by to help me get set up on the new app. COVID protocols are in place; we were carded (for the vax ) and we felt happy to safely enjoy a neighborhood spot.

This restaurant needs to be CLOSED yesterday!!! The number of people constantly getting food poisoning is ridiculous!!! This location needs to be closed, scrubbed, and clean!!

This place has gone down the drain. The staff is friendly, though. The food isn't that great anymore. It took over an hour to receive drinks and another hour for food. The alcoholic beverages were pretty good, the fountain drinks were flat each time they brought new ones. The portions are much smaller. Another one bites the dust, unfortunately.

We stopped in here for a late lunch, and we had a delightful time. Our server was friendly, the food was delicious, and we never waited for drink refills. I know this chain has struggled, but if they keep up this type of service, and food quality, they may be around a lot longer, and I hope they do...

We are senior and disabled citizens who went to this location for the very first time. Twice the silverware was dirty. Once was when it was on the table. The other was when the waitress handed a replacement. Greasy. Grime. It's wrapped in a napkin so we discovered it unwrapping it. It made us feel nauseous. We didn't ask for a replacement. Because we were taken advantaged of. The waitress should have looked to check wouldn't you think? My friend wiped their silverware with their napkin. My friend said she should have checked it. She replied that it wasn't her fault. Server number 1128/Nancy was the waitress. During our meal we were left ignored. For example bringing my friend a glass of water. Another waitress brought him that after he requested it from her. We paid for our own meals. She came over to our table before that and mentioned that another group did not leave her a good enough Tip. Basically pleaded with us to leave her a good Tip. I said ill leave $6. And she appeared satisfied with that. We found that very rude of her to approach us about her tip!! I paid for my meal one one card and later drinks on another. I did leave $6 on the drink card used. Upon going over charges regarding my cards as I normally do I noticed that she gave herself a $8 Tip which she falsified on this transaction. So she tipped herself twice! Beware folks of this restaurant.

I was trying my best to give this place another chance, I even invited my peers from work. They never have anything that's on the menu and the service is terrible. If I could I would give them zero stars!!! Please go anywhere but here, it's the worst....

I visited the evening of the marathon after running all day. I expected a long wait, but was wrong. Quickly seated. Sam, my server, was very polite, attentive, and quick to address my needs. Kitchen staff was fast, too. I was very pleased. Great job!

What a bullshit to ask id to eat?? What the actual f?? Walked here 20 minutes to eat with my family and we don't carry our passports just to eat not at even 4 star restaurant. What a shame on you!!!!

Amazing staff! Delicious food! Strong soda!! I was seated immediately and my food came out fast and hot. I ordered the sesame whiskey glazed chicken strips, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a sprite. Absolutely delicious. My server Jeremiah was kind, attentive, and patient. I was pleasantly surprised and I will be back!

We are ready to stop going to Fridays. Every other time we order, our order is incorrect. We can't call the restaurant back because the line is always busy. When the service answers they are not helpful. As a loyal customer we are now looking for other options. If we could give negative ratings this would be a negative 5 (-5). The call center hung up on us after being on hold for 45 minutes.

This was a surprise for me but the food and service was really great. Our food came out to us really fast. The amour of food was great we had to take go plates with us. You will be satisfied with the service and food for the price. Also remember the all day happy hour menu. Thank me later.

Food and service were fine. What I did not think was good was the fact that one of the guys behind the bar had his pants so low that the top of his pants where 2/3rds down his butt and his underwear was showing. This was for the 40 minutes we sat at the bar. All the staff and managers saw it but no one did anything. Not appetizing at all.

Visited the TGI FRIDAY'S downtown Chicago on Erie Street and the service along with the management staff was terrible. Our server only Visited the table once never to return to ask if everything was OK and if we needed refills. When asked to speak with the Manger Rafel came over to let us know the server was one of the best and it's funny that we were complaining about him. Never did he apologize or even try and fixed the issue. I do not recommend this location!

I was somewhat disappointed in the rib entrée given. The ribs were tough, not tender. They were tasty, but not the quality expected from Friday's, a rib establishment! The meat was supposed to be falling off the bone.

We have never eaten worst chicken sandwich in any restaurant anywhere. It was so hard/dry (reheated many times?) that I could not bite into it, and a waitress could not poke it with a fork. Yes, they replaced it with a dif. chicken sandwich, but... how can anybody serve this kind of food to anybody. In the end the manager did not charge us for that sandwich, but it should not have happened in the first place; after all, we are putting this in our body. Manager, Ron, said that the sandwich was prepared by trainee. That's even worse: trainee prepares food with no supervision? The burger was very mediocre too, but... it was filling. This was not only bad for us but also bad for TGI. I gave 1 extra star for the sandwich replacement and for the manager who did not charge us for the sandwich. Guess how many more times we will go to any TGI. Correct, never.

Food is delicious! The servers are very professional and know the menu very well and are attentive. Everyone genuinely smiles. The atmosphere is cozy. The bathroom is so clean!
