Tonight, 5/15/23, I'm pretty irritated, y'all know me and my reviews, I'm kind, enthusiastic, but also honest, so here goes - we saw they had 50¢ wings when we arrived, so we stopped skimming the menu and ordered those. Mine were gross, it was like eating maple syrup chicken. They don't have any spicy flavors, just like "not really mild but still mild" options. Whatever, no big deal, I don't go to Fridays because they have amazing food, I go because sometimes someone's like hey, Fridays, and I'm pretty go with the flow. Bill comes and I see I'm charged an extra 50¢ more than my boyfriend for my wings. So I ask why, and the waitress says "because they came with ranch," so I say "I didn't order ranch," to which she responds "but you used it," acknowledging I didn't order it, to which my boyfriend responds "mine also came with ranch," to which she responds "well, I could charge you, too," and like, at this point it wasn't about the money. Fifty cents? Whatever, I'm already tipping $6 on a $20 tab, I'm not taking it back, chill. That was exceptionally rude. First of all, literally the first thing out of my mouth in confused surprise after the waitress left when the food arrived was "why would they give me ranch for this" because i ordered whiskey glaze blaze. Would you put ranch on your pancakes? Well I did because I do not like sweet and savory together, so the ranch helped cut the sugar, the ranch I did not order and would not have asked for and only used because it was there and my food was gross and I didn't want to complain because she lied about there being a kick. Because i can tolerate sweet if there's enough heat. And then she had the nerve to be rude about her mistake. So yeah, I'm irritated and yeah, I wanted to take the tip back but I know everyone has bad days, so I walked out without arguing further, but geez, I am not a prick to people so it is never a pleasant surprise on the rare occasion people decide to be a prick to me. We were polite, we didn't complain, we always tip. Like why, why was it necessary to be like that.
