TGI Fridays

Olive garden, Red Lobster, Applebee's, all of the times square restaurants have let me down over the years but TGI Fridays? Thank you for allowing me to relive the family restaurant experience of my youth. Ranch is good, fries are crispy, couldn't really ask for more. Service was slow because there was a giant party upstairs but I can't really fault the staffing in this day and age. Servers were nice and polite and tables were clean.

Really impressed by the food and drinks from TGI Friday! Needed a quick bite and it turned out to be a great experience. The Thai salad and buffalo chicken wings were both delicious and in good portions. The place was not too crowded for a late lunch and the peach Sangria with strawberries was also very refreshing. The service was quick and the waitress did an excellent job as well to make it a full 5 star experience in the middle of the NYC’s madness in Manhattan!

Great location in the middle of Downtown Manhattan. Friendly staff from the moment we walked in the door. Party of 5. All of our orders were correct, including our steaks cooked to the temperature requested, and everything was delicious. I especially loved the mac and cheese. Our server Vinnie was great! He was attentive and great with the kids. Clean location, including the bathrooms. We left something behind by accident and they were kind enough to save it and we were able to retrieve it. Super grateful and will definitely be back.

Had a very nice dinner with my son's. We had to wait 20 minutes to get seated because they're super busy. It's great that they have 3 floors. It really adds to the atmosphere and makes for a nice looking environment. The food took about 20 minutes as well. I ordered the grilled salmon and it was delicious. Tender, flaky, and with a nice flavor. My son's got burgers and I heard no complaints. The food was quick but high quality.

We had such a great time here at TGIFridays! The service was phenomenal. Twaine was such a sweet and great bartender/server. She provided top notch service as well as tasty drinks for us! The food came out fresh and hot! The whole staff was incredibly attentive. We're grateful for Niel, cause he checked in making sure we had everything we needed. The place was clean and we were serviced fast. Thank you! We will be back very soon.

It’s loud like a bar bar tender and patrons screaming at each other even though they right in front of each other not complaining but it’s nota quite place service is decent but food is mediocre the steak was chewy the brócoli with no flavor but at least there was a salt and pepper shaker near by. My entree came before the appetizer which kind of defeats the purpose but it is what it is. We ate the appetizer as a desert. Probably won’t come here again. Also not really wheelchair or scooter friendly

The place feels run down and not super comfy. The service was mixed: our server was wonderful and very nice, but the guy who brought our food forgot the sauce we ordered and took forever to bring it. The food itself was fantastic, especially the new york strip steak and mashed potatoes!! A bit pricey, too, considering the place did not feel expensive at all.

I had a TERRIBLE experience. The waitress was all over the place EXCEPT our table. The appetizer (Philly steak egg rolls) were so greasy and over cooked it was a disaster on a plate! The two entrees we ordered were only because the waitress hyped it up (the promotion with steak and lobster) and the steak was VERY well done except a small pink part on the end and we asked for medium. The lobster tail was extremely rubbery and over cooked. I let the waitress know and she said it would be a while before we could probably get another two made correctly. (Not the response we expected) When it was time to finally eat our entrees after the wrong sides were brought out and we had to remind her about bringing the correct ones, we didn’t even eat our food we just packed it to go at this point. Upon waiting for our check, she gave us the wrong one and walked away. She popped back up about 10 minutes later and we informed her we had the wrong tab which she countered with are we sure because it wasn’t crowded in our seating area but I informed her we didn’t order any slush or dragon margaritas at all and don’t even see the entrees we did indeed order. All in all the experience was just terrible and after visiting the other one in Yonkers and having a terrible experience picking up a to go order, I think I will try the one in New Jersey and if it fails, I will just give up on this restaurant chain. altogether sadly. Also tried to leave feedback on their website but it wouldn’t send and I kept getting an error message so hopefully they can see this instead.

Service was fine but food was not good and cost more than expected. We were seated on the 2nd floor (I think there are 3). We ordered and it took awhile for the food to come out.... For the app we got the tatertots...there were barely any and it costs around $14! I was shocked!! The tots were super small and the inside was not cooked! My wings were so dry I was choking, thank goodness for my iced water. The wings were like $20 for 12 and the wings were really small (which I did not mind) BUT it was so DRY! I do not recommend coming here.

TERRIBLE FOOD TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Came here after the Halloween parade on the way home. Walked in, there were no table downstairs, server asked us to seat upstairs. Walking up to second floor, 2nd floor server coming down and talking to us, HOW IS GOING TO HANDLE ALL THESE TABLES? AND ASKED ME IF THERE WASN'T ANY TABLES DOWNSTAIRS!!!! To me? I don't work at TGI FRIDAYS' You haven't welcomed me in the first place!! People like this needs to be evicted. Will harm businesses, no hospitality at all. Ordered some wings, they were average. 3 burgers, one of them was bacon cheese burger, looked like bacons were on something else, put in our burger, because had some cheese on it still. Fries were like leftover some place, refried and served on our plate!! Really!!!???!!!

Poor Fridays. I remember when this chain first opened in Columbus ohio! You couldnt get near it!! Their bartenders were amazing and actually theatrical like. Food was extremely creative and unique!! They never progressed forward- just sort if faded. Sad

If I could I will give this place ZERO stars! Go to Applebees on 50th for better service and tasting food (which is saying a lot because Applebee's on 50th is not the best). The Food wasn't good and expensive. Wings were dry and tough, they rest of the food lacked flavor. The drinks are pricey too and the one I had was just aiight. The bartender downstairs was very nice. Our servicer wasn't friendly and messed up our bill; he charged my card everything instead of dividing it in two. I told him don't worry about it and he just walked away not even a thank you. The space is not laid out nice. Just skip this place! Negative zero stars!!

The service blew me out of the water. Sameer was my server. He was running circles around the woman server. I appreciated his calm chill demeanor with speedy service. The team must be in sync because I received my appetizers within 7minutes. My drinks followed and he also gave several recommendations. I have not ever tried a Hennessy drink but instantly fell in love with the strawberry but needed to turn it up so I moved to the Henny **** you will have to ask Sameer. Make sure when you go sit in his section you will not regret it. I loved that this place is tucked away and I was able to have a quiet space in the middle of 34th street. Looking forward to seeing you gain!

Came here once I got off of train and was the best decision I made. The bartender Nikki was amazing one of the best services I've ever received. She provided me with a great drink suggested meals and continue to ask if I needed anything. It surely be that just because of her!

Horrible. Food Tasted Like It Came Out Of The Tgi Family Dollar Boxes. Drinks were water. Everything About The Food & Service Was Disgusting And Never Would Go Again. Please Let People Leave No Stars Yelp!

Haven't been to a fridays in god knows how long... but this visit was especially good. Our bartender was amazing very friendly attentive informative and highly recommended and funny. I had the traditional Buffalo wings which were honestly well made. Not over fried, coated perfectly with Buffalo sauce all around, and fresh. The new 2 5oz chicken breast in Al pastor flavor with garlic broccoli and loaded mash was so delicious and the bartender recommended that we got a side of Queso and that was the icing on the cake so good... I'd definitely go back to that location next time I attend the movies in herald square. Thank you

wings: got the garlic parm and i really was pleasantly surprised! it tasted good, though the only part of it that was parm was the cheese that was on it - 8/10 fries: they were alright. not that warm when it came out and generally very mushy, but i didnt hate it 6/10 caesar salad: i really did not like this. i always thought you couldnt mess up a caesar salad, but this one wasnt it. the dressing tasted very lemon-y. 2/10 service: waitress was very nice! and they let us eat even though it was closing. cleanliness: the plates that we got were dirty. i couldnt bring myself to eat on it. i put a napkin on top of it for my state of mind. this is definitely a whole star worth.

Well my order was messed up .the chicken i ordered was dry and overcooked. The burger my husband ordered was cold

No, simple no. The place is dingy, tables sticky and the food mediocre. You're better off with going to the chic fil a or McDonald's quite honestly.

Dropped by this Friday's while waiting for my hotel. I was seated quickly and had an amazing server. She made some awesome recommendations and was super friendly. I just landed from Texas and wasn't crazy hungry. She recommended the pot stickers. Life changing? No. Its Friday's so I expected that. But enough food for the situation. The Mango Henny Lemonade was refreshing. Food came out quickly. Definitely a decent spot. The only downfall is the location. Being so close to Macy's and Times Square makes it a tourist trap. So expect a great deal of tourists.

If im ever in this area again I will NEVER eat here again. We show up get to the hostess we weren't greeted she grabbed menus and just started walking so we followed when we got to our table she didn't even stop she threw our menus on yhe table and literally kept walking w out missing a beat. No have a nice day or your server will be right w you nothing.... Our server was okay. She obviously doesn't try to focus on one table at a time. We ordered the loaded southwest potatoes twist. It came out cold we ate it anyways because I didn't want to deal w the Hassel. Then for our meals I ordered the Italian chicken slammer board. My daughter got the same and my husband got steak. I can't tell u what the chicken slammer board tasted like because our server never put my order in. Everyone else got their food. They said they were making mine but over 10 mins later it came out and of course cold so I just didn't eat. I will not ever stop here again. Just plain rude and no care for customers. I will say this the ONLY positive thing out of all of this is the manager. He made it right

I didn't plan to receive a review. However, the customer service was bad so I decided to leave one. I arrived around 5:30 on a weekday. I requested to sit downstairs and was told I needed to wait. When I looked to my right there were 4 empty high top tables. None of those tables were offered to me. The guy informed me that some guests from the booth should be leaving soon. While I was waiting around 10 minutes. I saw an empty table in the back. He stated it's for a handicap customer if they come in. I said ok no problem. I informed our server Marisol that I wanted to use on of my offers as a TGI Fridays rewards member. I decided to use the free appetizer with an entree. She asked if the appetizer I wanted was on the list. I said yes the sesame strips was on the list. I also ordered a side of fries. When the bill came the fries was used as my free appetizer and not the chicken. I wish she would've informed me of this. If so I wouldn't had ordered the fries. PS. as a fry lover, the fries weren't good. While we were waiting for our food I looked around. The restaurant did seat 2 people at the high tops table. That made me frustrated because I wasn't offered to sit there and had to wait. A little while later a group of tourists came in and they were given the table in the back that included the handicap seats. The standard of how they determine where you can sit isn't fair. The only reason I didn't approach them while I was there about this issue was b/c I had my nephew with me. I will NEVER return to this location again. Everyone isn't treated fair.

Holy moly, this place is expensive! A "Beyond Burger" shouldn't cost $26, and potato skins shouldn't cost $17.50, even in New York City. A Diet Coke was $4.50. The food is what you would expect for a TGI Fridays. It's not memorable, but you won't go hungry. The best thing about this lunch was the server, Sandra, who did a great job of putting in our order so that we got it quickly and could be at the Empire State Building on time for our timed tickets.

It was absolutely the worst experience that I attended, I ordered a chicken Alfredo and the Alfredo was the worst it had no Alfredo sauce on it, and the waitress was very rude and she had a complete attitude. I will never be coming back here again.

A drink made special for me by the bartender Nikki! I told her I wanted something sweet and that's what she made for me. Love it and her customer service!

What an awful experience. We only came here because it was really late so not many options were open. It started well with a friendly host but quickly went left with an impatient waitress and lackadaisical manager followed by a humongous water bug. Oh and not to mention the dirty utensils AND the brown broccoli. Manager said that the brown broccoli is what steam broccoli should look like before finally agreeing to just get me a new set of veggies. Right after he agreed to that, I was cool. My dinner companion took a small bite of their food and then noticed their utensils were dirty. Yikes. When they asked for new ones, the waitress said okay but then slammed them down in the dirty dish bin. Okay weird. As we're waiting for her utensils and my veggies, we're laughing then my dinner companion yells out. I turn my head and it is a huge ass water bug aka big ass roach crawling past our booth towards the back (kitchen). Sigh. The bartender sees it too but she's busy closing out people sitting at the bar. We hall ass out the booth. The manager walks out from the kitchen but seemed to have not saw it. We explained and he was yet again indifferent. We were done. We left quickly and then head to the diner nearby for a good, bug free meal with a pretty friendly staff.

Listen, Nikki was the only bartender making drinks for the entire restaurant and bar. But she's still gonna be extra communicative as she rushes around and she's gonna charm you with her witty one liners, make sure you feel seen. She might even knock your socks off with some Holy Water, which is her signature Long Island-esque lemonade. Y'all better come thru, especially for Nikki, a true icon!

This place is horrible, the service is the worst I ever seen. Came here with my son a-few minutes ago and the girl downstairs send me upstairs so we went up and stand there for 10min before someone give us a table. I was sitting there for 20min without any service, no one came to take my order or ask if I need anything. Mind you I'm sitting there with my two-year-old. I had to get up and leave with my son cause he was getting out of patience

Food tasted spoil and not fresh and compared to other tgif wait time was long and prices are higher

My friend and I had not been into a TGI Fridays in several years, saw this one while shopping in Herald Square and decided to give it a try, for old times sakes (lol). It was better than we both remembered. Not only was the menu basically the same, it brought back so many great memories. This location was very clean and EVERYONE from the hostess, to our waiter and even the bartender that came to our table were all extremely nice. They helped make this a surprisingly very enjoyable dining experience. Large restaurant also, great for large groups of tourists and/ or families. Not often in this area to dine, but we both agreed we would be back.

Unfortunately I've never had a good experience at this branch and on my last vist I remembered why. The wait for food after it's ordered is unacceptable. Get this, we were four dinning. Our server brought our drinks one by one. No tray, just one glass, a few minutes wait, next glass, same... and so on and so forth. She even forgot our fourth drink. Food, same production. Slow service, not the best atmospher, I guess it's the location? Food didn't taste good and everything was bagged, maybe we can add some Adobe to them when we get home. Ayecaramba! TGIF aside, I had a love-fest with my family there so **sticks tongue out at TGIF** thanks for the use of your space. The End.

A bartender, Nicky, who works there , cursed at me over the phone regarding a matter I have no knowledge of. She said "she will show me her bad side". She also smelled like cigarettes while working, which was very unprofessional. I will tell all my acquaintances who work in nyc to never go there due to this experience.

Our server was nice, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1, but we came for the widely advertised Fridays $2 beers and were disappointed to find out that this location just "doesn't have them." The best deal they had was $5 glasses wine but the wine tasted extremely cheap, and I don't even drink expensive wine but this was like barefoot level. We ordered an appetizer of potstickers, expecting the 6 that every Fridays I've ever been to provides. Instead we paid $8 for 3 potstickers. 3 regular sized, mediocre potstickers. $2.67 per potsticker is outrageous. It's cheaper and better to go to literally any other local restaurant or go to Applebees for $20 unlimited apps. Again, our waitress/bartender was nice, but a poor experience overall. We left early and went to Applebees.

First, I'd like to start with my how warm and welcoming everyone was upon entering. As soon as we'd were seated, our server Shana was so sweet, attentive and friendly. Truly a personable and overall lovely server. I haven't been to a Fridays in years and randomly was in the area and decided to go. But i'm so glad I did, will definitely be back to visit her specifically!

We ordered some appetizers and salads and we have been waiting for our food for over an hour. I'm pissed. I also know I'm not getting a refill on my water any time soon. Don't come here customer service is the worst

Slow. Cold. Bad food. Waste of time and money. I went for the simplest order: cheeseburger and fries. Cheeseburger tasted okay but it was cold. Fries were already turning. Decided to send it back. Waiter was friendly enough but chef just nuked the plate. Killed the bread and fries. Medium burger turned into rubber.

Horrible Food and Service. Waitress Demands Tip This is the worst restaurant I have ever ate at in NYC. The service was terrible along with the nasty food. The drinks were full of ice, the waitress had a bad attitude and the wait time for the nasty food took too long. At the end of the bad food and service, the waitress Griselda demanded a tip and was trying to enter in an 18% tip on the credit card reader without my permission. Do yourself a favor and walk two doors down and eat at Chick-fil-A. You will get better service and quality food for a fraction of what TGIF charges.

I decided to stop by after a long day at nycc, oh boy do I regret not looking for better. This is what happens when you get tired of walking, poor food choices to just sit down. This location is smaller than your typical TGIF and has limited promotions and high prices. Our server was inattentive and rather rude to us, things like replacing dropped silverwear, refilling our water and checking on us was not done. I ordered a chicken salad and the chicken was dry, which made the meat inedible. This location earned a one star for rude staff and serving dry chicken.

Went to Fridays to watch a knick game with friends Tom the bartender was awesome made sure we had a good experience definitely will come back to watch games in the future

Went to this TGIF on May 17, after an after-work charity event with my sister. The fact that we were seated rather quickly for a Friday evening is about the only nice thing I can say about this place. Our waitress was a happy lady who took our drink order and that is where it went downhill. Fifteen minutes after we ordered our drinks, the waitress brought them to our table and left. My sister and I looked at each other because we didn't order the same drink; however, it looked like we had the same drink. When we asked the waitress, she said the bar apparently didn't have the proper ingredients to make my sister her requested drink and decided to give her something else, and if she didn't want it she could take it back and get her something different. OK, moving along. We placed our order, both of us ordering the same thing, the steak (medium well) and fried shrimp meal. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come out and when it did EVERYTHING was burnt!!! Of course, we flag down the waitress and told her this was unacceptable; which she agreed and took the food away to replace the orders. We asked was it going to take another 30 minutes to come and she assured us it wouldn't. We get the replaced food. The steak is still over cooked but at least it isn't burned. The shrimp were golden brown and I couldn't wait to eat because at this point we are starving. I pick up a shrimp and bite it and immediately spit it out into a napkin. The shrimp were cold on the inside. My sister bites her shrimp and guess why the shrimp were cold? Because they weren't even cooked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were served raw shrimp!!! Obviously, this was the last straw. The waitress told the manager and they took the shrimp off the menu. Considering the entire ordeal, we shouldn't have paid! I am completely turned off and will not be going back to that location.

Horrible if I could give this place a zero that's what it deserves. The food is horrible & old.

Underrated restaurant chain for sure! don't get turned off by the location and all the crazies nearby. My mom and I were a little hungry and were very weary about going to Friday's but we went in anyway. The tables felt a bit sticky, the waitress didn't seem so chippy, and customers were being really loud and annoying - a recipe for a bad experience! However, in the end, everything was really delicious and even the drinks weren't watered down! I ordered the shrimp and chicken skillet and that chicken melted in your mouth! Very tender. The cheese was very cheesy (if that makes any sense) paired well with the mash. For drinks, I had their margaritas and I had a FEW for sure. My mom ordered the ribs with sauce on the side and you would think it would make the ribs very dry but it still fell off the bone fairly easily. She enjoyed it. The staff ended up being very friendly and attentive even with all the distractions, I was impressed. The bartender is also the best! I know her from another spot and she just always has a smile on her face and pleasant to be around. By no means is this a 5 star kinda restaurant but they deserve these 5 stars for how underrated they are here. Would recommend!

Food was just ok. The Cajun pasta was very rich while the salmon and broccoli lacked seasoning.

*food poisoning warning* I came with my sister for a late lunch. I ordered the loaded cheese fries burger well done. Everything tasted good and the service was good. We had minor issues but a pleasant experience. I ate half my meal there and the other half for dinner. I ate nothing else that night. I went to sleep and at 2am the next day I wake up and my stomach doesn't feel right and I start sweating. I immediately run to the bathroom to throw up. Several times I threw up and had bowel movements. I contacted customer service that day to say I got food poisoning. They said the restaurant would contact me and they haven't. My sister contacted them a day later about our minor issues and received a response. Do not eat here.

Service is amazing, food is outstanding, and it's just such a great establishment to have a fun time with everyone.

Most disgusting food I ever had. I gave this place 4 chances (bc I luv TGIF jack Daniels sauce) and all 4 times the food taste overcooked and old. The ribs looks and taste like a dog rib. They even put sesame seeds on my Jack Daniels ribs. Their steak taste old and tar like. The sliders was nasty and bland. The suck at making spinach artichoke dip (terrible). This place need to convert into a Church bc as far as I'm concern I rather donate my money than to waste it on YOU TGIF!!! I want my Fu"ing money back too!!!! I hate TGIF now and it's all because of the 34th ST location! Ya should had never opened back up!!!!! Other locations that suck Albany NY -Stuyvesant Plaza Brooklyn -Harkness Good Location The TGIF in Hackensack New Jersey is the best! Chef is great and knows how to cook a traditional TGIF food. 34th st need to call Hackensack up and ask them to help their disgusting restaurant. Bc you got me all F up , this use to be my favorite restaurant but now I'm disgusted .

Lower level bar vibes and service are awesome Shoutout to Nikki for making amazing drinks and Marisol for the service, making us feel right at home! Jack Daniel chicken strips are still the best.

The waiter was a little unfriendly. These wings were too tough . The ribs were good. The fries were soggy. This was my first time at this location . Are there any other locations still open in NYC ?

Well, wasnt a terrible experience. But it was definitely less than great. Very outdated furnishings and TVs and bathrooms. Couch has rips. The food was sub par. Especially for the price. It was ok, im sure cause I was hungry. Used huge plates for small servings making the food looked even smaller. Drinks were good. Probably wouldn't eat here again. Not a good deal on food and drinks compared to the options you have in Manhattan at that price point.

Ok - not the best option out there, but certainly not the worst either. I respect others' opinions on here and their experiences - and everyone's experiences are different, but I can only speak for mine. Firstly, I was in the area and wanted a place to eat comfortably - which means not in a tiny place where people are on top of you (*coughJohnnyRockets5Guyscough*) and there's virtually no room. This place just opened as we walked by and in we went. Obviously this location is "Manhattan-ized", which means smaller and more condensed than a normal Fridays location. I fully expected that this would be much less than a standard Fridays experience - and most others coming to a location like this should expect the same. The hostess was weak and decided to sit people as close together as possible, though it just opened and it wasn't at all full. Really, it's better for the guests to be farther apart if it can be helped and if the place is not that full. The place filled up before long, so she got away with it. The waitress (Lory) was very friendly and generally a good waitress despite how busy this place ended up getting. One side has small single tables (for 2) and the other had the booth/table/chair. If you sat in the chair (facing the booth) and are tall enough, you have the mirror to look at all the happenings behind you. My main view of the time I was there (past the customers and wait staff) was of the vulturous bus boys standing there and waiting for their prey (empty/near empty dishes) to swoop in and remove and be gone before you could even realize you once had a plate there. I mean fellas, make it a little less obvious why don't ya. I don't think they get paid on a plate commission. I understand it being busy and all that comes with it, but they just stand there and stare hard at the tables just waiting. I needed to use the rest room early. Keep in mind, the place was open at this point for maybe 30 minutes and started to get busy. The bathroom was small (1 urinal and 1 stall) and REPULSIVE. I mean not even an hour into open and the bathroom was this disgusting. I joked on the Yelp "tip" about preferring to use a catheter instead of the bathroom - but really, it's something to consider if this is the bathroom option. I was only on the 2nd floor, but this wasn't promising at all. And again, this was within the first hour of being open. I didn't want to take chances with the menu and the prices themselves were not surprisingly Manhattan-ized was well, so I ordered the NY cheddar & bacon burger, while my son had the chicken fingers, and his mother had regular burger. I guess more than one person made the burgers, since mine had the pickles on the very bottom under the lettuce and tomato and she had the pickles above the lettuce, which was on top of the tomato - or the cook is just a moron. The burgers were fine. The fries were just fine. The chicken fingers were standard and fine. Really no complaints about the food, except the tomato slice. Again, this is Manhattan, so most things are pricier than the norm. So overall, a decent option for the area with a decent amount of eateries. Again, there's more space here than some like options and it's not bad if you want to relax without people being on top of you. If you come here expecting a normal non-Manhattan Fridays experience, then you came to the wrong place. If you hate crowds, don't come here at all. I you don't like Manhattan prices, don't come here.
