The salad is so good, especially the dressing & the lil crackers, unlike anything else in town! The fried tofu is also super good and flavorful. The lady that works there is always super nice to talk to! I look forward to eating there every time I’m at Pullman Market. (Pics of the salad from two different visits, both times super good.)

Looking for a dinner spot on Christmas day and found this gem!! Had an amazing 1/2 chicken (gluten-free! I didn't even notice until the owner informed me!) and my dad had fun with their wine cards. Will definitely be returning and 100% recommend!

Thai Bird has quickly become one of our favorite spots in San Antonio! The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared every single time. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and the balance of spice and seasoning is perfect. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the service is consistently fast even when they’re busy. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner. Every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding, but the pad thai is next-level. Oh and don't forget to try the peanuts and the chicken tenders, they are fantastic! If you’re looking for amazing food with amazing service, Thai Bird is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Food is great. Tenders are huge. I ordered 3 but I really only needed 2. Red curry corn is so delicious. Thai tea is strong. Definitely need more sauce next time. Price point is a bit high but the venue is nice and clean.

We got Thai Bird before we left for the airport! This meal was phenomenal. We had just about everything and it was delicious. The donuts and fries were a standout for me, but we enjoyed it all. They also have a self serve wine bar station, so we enjoyed that as well. They are dedicated Gluten Free, so it was nice to share a family style meal with everyone.

We came looking for a new food option; it looked delicious at first. I ordered it because I saw someone else having it. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry and lacked flavor. The rice had no seasoning either, which could have been compensated if the chicken had been more flavorful, but that wasn’t the case. Both sauces they offer are sweet, which leaves you with no real option of adding or skipping sauce. It’s quite far from authentic Thai food. They have a good product; they just need to work on the details. I recommend paying attention to the reviews — after eating, I noticed they had dozens of complaints about the dryness of the chicken. The lady at the counter was very kind. I wouldn’t recommend the food until they make improvements.

We brought the family in for a late lunch. We ordered family style (and Pad Thai). Everything we tried was delicious! I do not write many reviews; I only add on for those meals that are craveable! Plus, we were able to try several wines (2, 4, or 8 oz pours) which also made the setting fun! We WILL be back!

The guys who work here are so kind! I ordered two chicken strips and got three sides. The ginger cucumbers are soooo good, they taste like my favorite sweet pickles that I buy from Whole Foods. I also got the kale slaw and the curry corn. The corn has some spicy bite to it ans the kale was really fresh. The chicken strips are such huge pieces! Two is definitely enough for one person. The wine machine though is the coolest thing. You buy a loadable card which allows you to try all sorts of wine!

Lunch last week for the team. While the food was okay the price is super high. It was a few chicken tenders with a side and drink for almost $20. The service was super nice. The location is convenient.

Thai Bird inside Made Ready Market is absolutely delicious! I was looking for a new restaurant to try on a Monday and found Thai Bird through Yelp. I had never been to MRM and was eager to finally explore it and see what other food options they had available. When I arrived Thai Bird was the only one opened and the staff was very welcoming. She explained the menu which is pretty straightforward: chicken tenders with multiples options for sides. I decided to get 3 chicken tenders with the kale slaw. The flavor in the chicken was amazing and they were cooked to perfection. The salad was also a great balance to make the meal feel a little healthier. The chicken came with a couple sauces that tasted delicious, however I would've loved a spicer sauce. Also, since they are located inside the food hall, you can grab your food and eat inside or take it to the park across from Mila Coffee and enjoy this beautiful spring weather. Overall, I great experience and will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends to this amazing eatery!

I had heard so many great things about Thai bird. The chicken was mid. I got two tenders and they were cooked well a little too much. Of the two sauces they provided I liked the lighter green one.The rice was cooked nicely. Two tenders cost me about $13.

Cool place in the Make Ready Market. I'm a big fan of food hall areas like this, because of the variety and unique dining options they present. The vibe in the market was casual with fun music playing. Everything was clean and bright and felt nice and open. I went on a weeknight and there was hardly anyone else there, but I made my decision for Thai Bird. I ordered a couple tenders and the red curry corn to try something different. The tenders were very ... tender, and I enjoyed the sauces they came with. The red curry corn was good, but if I went again I might try one of the other sides.

Everything I got here was mid. I got the three tenders and the red chile corn. The tenders are huge and look delicious with the curry coating but there wasn't much flavor there. Maybe it was missing salt or umami(?). I liked one of their sauces but their other one was very smoky! Which was a bit odd to me because I don't associate that flavor with Thai food. Their corn was described as corn in a cup-esque. When we got it, it was soupy, which is what I expected. But all the corn I got were just so soft. It felt like the corn has been just sitting in a crockpot all day waiting to be served. If you like soft almost mushy corn, I would say order it. I did want to come back to try their fries and other sides though. The staff was nice and I'm hoping they will perfect their recipes because it has potential! This is the only place in the building where you can get wine though. It's BYOG which i thought was cute and they also had a happy hour listed!

We visited the Make Ready food-hall and tried a few places, so I just got 2 tenders with a side of red curry corn. This cost about $23 with tip. The chicken flavoring! It's really different from typical fried chicken and was a nice surprise at first bite. It comes with a side of sauce that reminds me of Vietnamese nuoc cham with a fish sauce flavor and chilis. For a chicken tender though, it was pretty dry and I wish there was an alternative sauce option. A peanut sauce would be great! The rice and cilantro were great because it helped with the dryness. I got the red curry corn to help with the dryness as well, but the flavors didn't necessarily blend together. The curry flavor was a bit more spicy so it would overpower the chicken when I ate it together. I liked the corn, but I think my partner and I prefer an elote corn flavoring more. This didn't quite hit the spot. It's very soupy. Overall this place was great and I'd definitely get the chicken again and try more of the sides next time.

These guys are the reason I found Make Ready Market. I really wanted fried chicken but they don't make it gluten free usually. So when I find rare things gluten free I am an instant fan. THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!! The service is amazing and consistent. When I went they had a special of the day. The restaurant is in a food hall. So depending on when you go it could be loud and noisy. But the food is worth it.

Decided to try Thai Bird on my first visit to the new Make Ready food hall that just opened up down the street from me! Super friendly service, was greeted as I walked in the door of the place, which helped in my decision making as not all the vendors were as friendly. I chose 5 tenders and a kale salad side. As you can see from the photo, the tenders are HUGE. I could have easily ordered 2 and been fine but I was happy for leftovers! The sauces they serve with the tenders are fresh and herbaceous and you can tell they make it from scratch. I asked for no cilantro with the kale salad and it was so refreshing. The food hall it's located in is brand new and it still has that "just moved in" feel to it. Just note that my tab came to over $30 for what you see in the photo. I personally got three meals out of what I ordered so it was a deal for me but some may say that's pricey for a lunch meal ‍ I say try em out at least once so you can form your own opinion! Shop local!

I have been eyeing Thai Bird since I got to San Antonio and I was NOT disappointed! My husband and I found Thai Bird at Make Ready Market Food Hall. The service was quick and painless, and the booth itself was really cute! The food however was ridiculously delicious! Hands down the best chicken tenders we've ever had! The tenders were so perfectly cooked and seasoned, you could eat them with no sauce and they are just as delicious, not to mention they were absolutely huge! They almost tasted like a satay style chicken tender which is something I didn't know I needed until now! The sauces served along with were delicious too! The flavors complimented the tenders so well! We also got the thai fruit and ginger pickles! Again, both amazing and everything went together so well. The fruit was sweet and seasoned so that it was the perfect salty/sweet combo. Everything was so good, I highly recommend going and giving them a try especially if you are into thai flavors! Can't wait to go back!

Been wanting to try and was finally able to head over the other week. Got 3 tenders and fries. Cute spot right as you walk in to the right. Tenders were big pieces the fries were as well they give 3 sauces which were all really good. It's great that it was all gluten free as well.

Wow! Tried this place on a whim and did not regret it. They focus on wings and serve-yourself-wine! The owner talked us through the process of ordering and grabbing wine as we needed it. The food was outstanding. Do note it is in a new food hall, so, it is a more laid back, casual atmosphere with other food options if you desire it.

Came here after reading some reviews online. The ambiance of the food court is amazing, with plenty of seating. The service provided by Thai Bird was great. The tenders are huge, but a bit on the pricier side. Same thing about the lemongrass tofu. The tenders are delicious, especially with the sauce that comes with it. Would definitely try the tenders again.

Thai Bird is amazing. First, the person who greets you right when you come in and also takes your order? They are so friendly, informative, had so many good suggestions! If you're looking to come here for standard chicken tenders, you won't find basic here. These tenders are HUGE, juicy, and they are marinaded in comfort spices. The skin is super crispy and crunchy, and the sauces were really smoky and light. Two tenders per person is most likely the standard serving if you get sides, and each order comes with rice. I know people have feelings about kale that are not positive, but do not sleep on the kale slaw. Wow. I wish I hadn't shoveled it in right when the tray hit the table so I could have eaten more chicken with the slaw. All the herbs and spices in the tender were great with that kale slaw. We also had the fries, and even my kiddo gobbled them up! Perfectly sized and crispy yet soft in the middle, and I loved the seasoning on the outside. Everything was beautifully executed. You can tell there is thought and care put into each dish, even the side dishes. We were too full to eat more, but I saw an order of their jumbo wings and can't wait to come back and try them soon! I also appreciated that everything was gluten free. You couldn't tell which is a plus, but when the star of your menu is gluten free, it is also great to have gluten free side dishes and sauces to enjoy too! I loved the location, fun games to play while you're waiting for the food, right in the middle of the food hall, and easy parking (cheap) across the street. Can't wait to come back again!

If there ever was an exception to add more stars, this place would be it! Flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor! The chicken is super tender inside and crunchy on the outside with the perfect amount of seasoning. The sauces for the chicken are OMG. I'm dead. So so so good! I ordered the special of the day which was the tea leaf salad and I can honestly say that I've never had a more flavorful insanely delicious salad in my life! Beautifully displayed with all of the flavors, greens, crunches and deliciousness one can handle. I could only eat half. Okay, it's because we also ordered all of the sides. The ginger pickles were slightly sweet and full of that ginger flavor, they were incredible! The kale salad was a coleslaw only better because, kale. The corn and fries were so so so good! The fries had a tartness to them and I couldn't get enough. Those peanuts might have been our favorite side though. Pick up some to go! The surprising favorite was the Thai tea!!! Not too sweet and dairy free. Omg! I'm going to be full for days. Thank you so much for the excellent service, great prices and the wayyy above average food. We are fans and will definitely be back!

Checked out make ready market for the first time and decided to try Thai Bird. Eh. Not something I'd get again. I'm familiar w/Thai food since one of my besties is from Thailand. I was excited to taste those flavors, which left me disappointed.

Came upon this place the other day during a business lunch and I was VERY impressed! The fingers were awesome, the fried potatoes were artistic (really!), and the venue was very pleasant and open. My daughter is in town for Christmas and she is looking forward to visiting Thai Bird! Lastly: all offerings are gluten-free.

I believe we have had Thai Bird four times now and we still want to go back for more! Their chicken is so crispy and juicy! It is pricey, but worth it! The owner is kind and the employees always recommend great options. They are located inside Make Ready Market, so I recommend you also explore the place. Great area and fun vibes.

The gluten-free tenders are delicious. I also recommend their kale slaw and chili lime fries. The Alamo Heights location even has gluten-free donuts, a must have when you visit that location.

Thai bird is one of the few restaurants open in Made Ready Market and has us excited for what is to come! The menu is fairly straightforward serving fried chicken with various options for sides. We opted for the french fries, kale slaw and pickles. Everything tasted amazing and the sauces were delicious! The man who took our order was super nice and helpful! I definitely recommend checking out Thai Bird and the new make ready market!

The chicken was delicious, and the three-piece tenders was more than enough food for one person , could actually be enough for two if you have a small appetite.

Thai Bird is located in San Antonio's newest food hall, Make Ready Market. This eatery strives to deliver Thai street food to its customers. The staples of their menu include curry, chicken tenders and slaw. All menu items are gluten free (GF). I ordered two chicken tenders and it came with rice and some kind of sauce ($12.50). Essentially it's $6 for one piece of chicken. That being said, the sauce was good. The tenders are huge and aren't fluffed with excess breading. One was very filling for me. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with flavor or lack thereof. It tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all and the rice was room temperature. I sat at the table nearest to the register, so it's not like I waited until I got home to eat. They do offer online ordering so you can pickup or order before you arrive so you don't have to wait. Every associate I interacted with was nice. There's a few board games available to play while waiting or eating. Since the space is shared with other restaurants, seating may be limited depending on what time you frequent this place. Hours of Operation: Monday - Sunday 11am-10pm. Overall, it was mid. Highly unlikely I'll return. PEACE.

Definitely lived up to the hype of some excellent chicken tenders! Just know they are HUGE pieces and I wouldn't recommend ordering more than 3 for one person (I thought I was super hungry and ordered 5 lol). The tenders come atop a bed of sticky basmati rice and then they give you these authentic Thai dipping sauces on the side, which are all very flavorful and different taste. I ordered with a side of fries too and they add some like lime salt to it, they were good too and some were a little too limey tasting. All in all, you get what you pay for and it's damn good tenders

I LOVE this place! As a celiac, finding safe tasty food is difficult. On a Sunday night, even impossible depending on the city. So fresh, spicy and crispy. Not a traditional meal and that's why I'm here. I can find that anywhere but Thai Bird brings something different and that's the best part! I drove from over an hour away to eat here because it's that good an unique!

6401 Broadway location. Nice people, that is the best. Fried chicken "fingers/breast" - hard fried and dry, at least it was delivered hot. The two sauces to rehydrate the meat - okay, but nothing special - even if made in house. Rice was fine. The size of the chicken pieces was also fine - not giant, but certainly not stingy. They don't take cash. I asked for water and a cold quart bottle was presented. I like that I did not have to buy bottled water. My friend ordered a diet Coke - $4 - it was about 6 ounces - ouch! The music was so loud that when people were making their orders both sides of the counter had to shout. All hard surfaces in the place. I wanted a glass of wine. In order to purchase a glass of wine one must buy a "card" for $1 and then have it charged with a dollar amount from the credit card. Then the card must be presented to the machine and then a selection may be made. Several wines are on tap with each having a volume amount ranging from 2 oz to 6 oz. The prices vary - no bargains here. Easy for Thai Bird a complication not needed for the customer. My glass of wine - the least expensive of the lot for 6 oz was almost equal to the cost of my meal (and I took home one half of my meal). Give it a try if you like chicken, new places and loudness.

I usually don't post reviews but I had to do one for this place. I Had the best experience here. The Staff was friendly and great. The chicken tenders are big . I ordered the 2 piece and filled up on It. The dipping sauce is what made my dish taste amazing. I ended up going back that same day for dinner and had the Thai spiced ChicKen wings. Wow!!! quantity,quality, and the taste was perfection. Again, the staff was amazing . Definitely recommended if you are up and craving Thai Chicken.

What a cool place. I went here with my boyfriend. We ordered a tray with a little bit of every thing. Everything was homemade. Even the ginger pickles! Having allergies, this was the spot for me. Everything on the menu was gluten and dairy free (there was one salad with dairy and they offered to make df if I wanted it). The chicken was super moist and tender and the fries were probably the best I ever had. Everything was made to order. My only complaint was that it was so good we left nothing behind and I was a little uncomfortably full.

The chicken was delicious! Crispy and juicy with lots of flavor. The spicy tamarind sauce is my favorite. It was tangy with a hint of sweet and the right amount of spicy. The chef was very easy to chat with and you could tell that he really enjoyed the product that he was serving up. Also, it might be worth asking if there are any specials they are trying out that aren't on the menu.

Good chicken, but david is a scammer. The only way to purchase wine is through a prepaid card. The denominations on the prepaid card will never match the price of the wines. There is a special place in hell for you david!

This chicken is amazing. I would say it's the best in the state of Texas. The side dishes and sauces are perfect compliments to a flawless main course. The food hall is a great venue. Fill up on chicken and wine while listening to live music.

Had lunch here and I am full! I order 2 tenders with rice and a small side of Thai fruit salad. Everything was delicious!! I'd share photos but I forgot to take some and when I remembers my tray was empty lol. Warning, the tenders are HUGE, tender and crispy!! And very tasty! It comes on a bed of white rice with it also pretty good. The tenders come with 2 different sauces, one red and one green. The red one is a little spicy but it is so delicious it's my favorite! The green one is not spicy but also has a very good taste. The fruit salad!! OMG!! It was so freaking good!! You get it in a good size bowl and has watermelon, melon (cantaloupe), star fruit, a white fruit that I don't know that name of but is really good and something else but I can't for the life of me tell you what it is only that it's good! The dressing is a tiny bit spicy but if you're Latino you know it's not lol it has such good flavors of sweet and spicy I couldn't get enough of it. I'd come back just for that any time! Hands down a must come and try place! They have Topo Chico & Mexican Cola in bottle. They also have a Thai drink that is bottled. It's located inside Make Ready that is like a food hall. It's very chill and casual with good music playing. There's seating inside and outside with fans outside too. The staff were very nice! Thank you for a great meal! I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the downtown area. Even if you're not in the area I still recommend you come here! Don't miss out!!

Amazing, especially for those looking for gluten-free fried chicken. We split between three people nine tenders, the kale slaw, fries and the Thai fruit, and left full and thoroughly happy. The dipping sauces are great, the seasoning is spot on, spiciness adds a dimension of flavor but never overwhelms. Super sad that this is five hours from where I live. If you're splitting an order between people, you may want to ask for extra trays.

Great food in a cool area. The chicken wings were amazing. Definitely going back. Prices were reasonable and the service was great as well. There is ample cafeteria style seating in the location as well

Unless you're at least a 7/10 on the wokeness scale, find elsewhere to eat. This "Make ready" building is essentially a permanent food truck set up, but where the food trucks are small stalls instead. It's a cafeteria/airport vibe that you're paying high dollar for. Hard pass. My chicken strips were very good, but not anything I would write home about. I was disappointed that the paper they are served on, gets soggy, and tears very easily straight through it as you are cutting the chicken.

Way overpriced. $20 for 3 tenders and a tiny bit of rice is crazy. Food is average and definitely not worth the price. Location is nice.

This is a constructive comment. I agree wit Rich L and Amanda. I was VERY disappointed with the taste of the chicken tenders. TOO MUCH curry powder in them that even the mildly tasted tamarind-juice based sauce cannot help improve the taste. The Made Ready Market has other food stalls, but be prepared to fork out no less than $5 even for a small Coke. Needless to say, "Once is enough."

30 bucks for three tenders and a coke. No thanks. Doesn't matter how good it is. Those are ridiculous prices. Will not be returning.

Amazing service and food! The owner makes a point to provide the best service. If you are hungry you can't go wrong with the chicken or the curry corn.

Excellent food. Portion sizes are very big as well. We got the tenders, fries & pickles. The chicken was very crispy and moist. I also really like the complex where Thai Bird is located. Nice crowd and very clean. The Thai Sriracha sauce is a must try!

This place could be great with a few changes. The half chicken was fried perfectly. The meat was nice and juicy. That being said I wish the chicken was seasoned with Thai spices. The sauce that comes with it is good if you add the Thai basil to it, it really makes the flavors more complete. I asked for a hot sauce but he said the roasted chili sauce that comes on the side was hot. It was not even slightly hot, it was more of a salty sauce. It did go well with it but overall it was lacking in the bold thai flavors of citrus, heat, and herbs. The Thai coffee as well was not good. The flavor reminded me of black licorice in a way. Couldn't taste any coconut milk or whatever product they choose to use here to dilute it. It was most just the concentrated coffee. Overall would come here for fried chicken again because it was cooked perfectly. I think once they get their seasonings perfected this place will be a huge favorite. Also said there was a special for half bird and Thai coffee today but looking at the receipt they were both rang in under their normal prices so not sure what made it special.

The food is properly cooked we had a 9 strip platter with rice they offered a non spicy and a spicy sauce both were great the service was on par price is a bit high but you get what you pay for and it does not disappoint. We ordered from the idle brewery and were able to bring it over while we enjoyed our beers.
