The Pad See Ew noodles were perfectly stir-fried: wide rice noodles with crisp greens and tender strips of protein, seasoned beautifully so every mouthful was satisfying and well-balanced. And let’s not forget the Thai iced tea—cool, smooth, and just sweet enough, it paired perfectly with the meal and rounded things off on a refreshing note. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. I will say it was some very delicious food. I was pretty upset to get home with my take out and find my curry had seeped through the Togo bag and spilled all over my car, though. I can tell it was a genuine mistake, they did also put the container inside a plastic bag, but the lid wasn’t properly closed and, unfortunately for me, the plastic bag had a huge split right at the bottom. Not only did I lose most of the sauce from the curry, but now I need to go and clean my car. I would suggest you check your takeout before trusting it. Posting this in the hopes that the restaurant reaches out, I would definitely change the review.

Decided to try this place out last night and its was amazing. The lady that helped us was so sweet and did not judge us on the amount of food we ordered. The food was the best thai we have had and we go to a lot of thai restaurants because of all the flavor it had. We got the spicy basil fried rice, orange chicken (crispiest orange chicken I've ever had), Kung pao beef, chow main, yellow curry, and pad see ew. We had tons of left over and it was still delicious for lunch today. 100% will go back again.

Brought the whole family to try a vegetarian friendly dining experience. We tried a variety of plates and honestly the vegetarian dishes were the tastiest. All the dishes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. Make sure you try the golden veggies and the golden tofu. The service is super friendly as well.

Enjoyed our dinner here tonight. Service was fast and curtious. The food was good. A little pricey. I wouldn't recommend the Orange Chicken because it seemed that it was mostly batter and not much meat. The dumplings were good but really we came here for curry. Curry is delicious.

we ordered our food on doordash at 5 but forgot something so we did a second order a few minutes after. it said they both would be ready at 5:45. We went to pick it up and the second order was ready but not the first. i sat and waited for 40 minutes and finally asked them what was up. they were confused and had to check the receipts and realized they had missed my first order. they said give them 5 minutes, after 15 minutes still nothing so i asked again. they finally gave it to me, they did not once apologize for their mistake or give us a discount. i normally do not write reviews but this pissed me off that they didn’t even apologize. we also noted that there was a black pepper and they did not honor that and put black pepper on the dish. so one of the people in the party was not able to eat.

sidewalk pad thai and glass noodle salad were stellar!!! waiters were super attentive and the interior had nice vibes. ate here by chance and did not regret it one bit

This week 01/22/2024 Thai Coconut started a new lunch special Mon~Thu ALL DAY for $10 + tax. It was very good and included small salad. All with either Chicken or Tofu. Update: Monday & Thursday = Pad Thai, Tuesday = Pad See Eu and Wednesday = Chao Mein. Fri~Sun Large Soup 'all day' Tom Yum -or- Wonton.

I liked it. Came in for dinner with some friends. Inside is simply decored with a decent amount of seating. The menu is pretty big with lots of Thai classics. My friends and I got the Thai coco appetizers. Basically a fried appetizer sampler, no complaints from me lol. Individually we got the seafood fried rice, lemongrass chicken, and chicken panang combo. Everything was good! Decent portions you can share. Will definitely be coming back. Service was good. Friendly staff. Small parking lot on the side otherwise there's street parking.

Went to Thai coconut on Sunday and things are much better since last visit! Owner is super nice and greets you ! Their spicey bamboo shoots are awesome! They're curry is great to! There open on Christmas Day! Come on down and enjoy!

Only improvement I can suggest is shut the place down, it needs a thorough deep cleaning and replace the Rude owners/management once they are done scrubbing the grease they have allowed to build up. I've always overlooked the dead flies on their window sills and dirty blinds, but their cheap rude behavior out shines that. We never eat in, as our elbows usually stick to the dirty table tops so we have been "to go" customers, willing to take a risk on their food quality as they are close to our office. I guess, we had the moto, "what we don't see, won't hurt us". Well, until we were asked to pay for a couple of extra 1/2 filled 1/2 ounce containers of chile, gee, what's the cost of those? Well these dorks seem to prefer donations rather than run a business. Save yourself a case of diarrhea and go, better yet run,to the spic and span Thai Classic across the street.

Hi! I am back with another review. I am normally very critical of places that I visit, and lately I've been surprised and have given five stars to a few of the restaurants Thai coconut is on that list. I met with one of my referral partners at this restaurant, Thai coconut. This was my first time here. The restaurant dining area is open and spacious. It also had a bar and an outside patio. The restroom was clean. One guest ordered the war one Thanh soup and fried chicken dumplings. The second guest ordered the pad Thai lunch special and I ordered the Thai cocoa fried rice. My fried rice was surprisingly good, I am Asian, and compared it to the way, my mom used to prepare our fried rice. What I liked about this dish is that it had Chinese sausages alongside chicken as the protein. It was a Chinese sausage. That was the main reason that I ordered it since that is the protein that my mom added it into her fried rice. She passed years ago, so I've been longing to find a Chinese restaurant let alone a Thai restaurant to serve fried rice the way that my mom prepare prepared. it suffice to say it was delicious. My friends said that their dishes were also prepared well. The soup was hot, it had a healthy portion of dumplings, shrimp, and calamari alongside vegetables. The fried dumplings were prepared just right, they were not overly fried, but not under fried either. The pad Thai Plate was also served hot and according to my friend was very tasty. Before they came out with our entrées. They served us a small salad of lettuce, shredded carrots, and honey mustard dressing. The lettuce was cold and crispy as were the carrots. They also surprised us with a small serving of coconut ice cream. I did not see it on the menu so it was a nice touch. I suspect it that it is because the restaurant is under new management, according to the business card that I picked up as I was leaving the restaurant. All in all, Thai coconut restaurant in Eagle rock would be one that I would encourage you to try. I hope that this review helps with your decision-making. Bon appétit

Friendly staff, easy parking, decent food. The seasoning can be a little inconsistent though. Here's what I usually order: Pad See Ew - Pretty standard. With food prices having gone up everywhere, the portion is pretty good. In case you were wondering, it comes with American broccoli. I just wish it came more seasoned though. Chicken Satay - Really good! Great char on skewers and the peanut sauce is on point.

First time in . Pass by all the time . We entered to a welcome . We were seated . We had a great soup and appetizers . Clean and friendly . We will definitely come back again .

We came here tonight to grab some dinner in the area. We were very impressed! The servers were fast and attentive. I especially loved that my green curry was more thick, and filled with lots of meat and veggies. A lot of places water it down. We also ordered the Tom yum soup, which was excellent. The prices are also decent, and they have specials, which makes this place more budget friendly, compared to other places. Overall we loved our dinner and our bill, and will for sure come back when we're craving Thai!

BE AWARE! This place is a scamm!! I have eaten a meal and charge me was $13.95 and the tip os $2 alright. So it got charges alrady on my card next day i check my card i got charged up to $28.75 can uimagine they put this on there tips and peole that eat there dont complain for small bucks. I will file a report and make sure everyone dont come here food is no good and customer service is bad and they take put numbers on ur tip so they overcharged you so for everyone got scammed on there card make sure file a dispute and report on ur bank and thats what i did now police report and i am suiing them on local court also. Loved the chicken larb, pad Thai and yellow curry. I wish they gave more lettuce cups for the larb but the taste was excellent. It was a bit too spicy for my husband even on the dish that I requested average (not mild, not spicy) but the flavor was great. I love spicy food but if you don't, make sure to request mild bc their idea of medium is probably hotter than most. I'll def go back but just for myself.

Customer service is always friendly. My favorite Thai spot. Whenever and always craving their amazingly delicious pineapple Thai rice... its 10/10 my fav thing to order there.

This is my go to Thai place when I'm in Eagle Rock. Mostly because they have crispy pork and Chinese broccoli. That's not on a lot of menus and it's not always good when it is. This place does it to my liking. We also get Rad Na and Khua Kai. Which are both also done the way we like it. Another plus is that it's close to where I stay, not that that's relevant to you, the reader, unless you know me, in which case, come on by! And there's usually always parking. That's a plus. I haven't eaten in, so I can't say what the ambiance and service is like. Though, they are always pleasant, warm, and smiling when I show up for my take away...as becomes those from the land of smiles. Price per portion is good. There are many Thai places in LA and I have my faves in different parts of the city. This is my eagle rock fav.

It's not my top pick for Thai cuisine, but when I'm craving their Spicy Pompano (a whole deep-fried pompano served with chili sauce), this is the go-to spot. The prices weren't terrible, but the experience definitely was. I ordered the wonton chips, which are clearly advertised on the menu as being stuffed with pork. I wish I were joking, but each chip had only the tiniest sliver of meat--barely the size of my pinky nail. Some chips were completely empty, and all of them were drenched in oil and dripping. We also ordered the pad see ew, which was just okay. I had planned to try more dishes, but after that, I just wanted to leave and get some real food. I ended up splitting the pad see ew with a friend and paid $28 total--for just that dish and the oily chips. No drinks, no appetizers, nothing else. When I asked the server if it was possible to get more protein in the chips, she told me they weren't supposed to be filled. I pointed out that the menu says they're stuffed, and she insisted that what we got was correct. Honestly, if there's barely any filling, just call them chips--not stuffed wonton chips. The only reason I ended up getting more protein was because an employee who was leaving told her to remake them. But when she went to the back to ask the chef, the kitchen staff looked over at our table and started laughing--while still staring at us. It was incredibly disrespectful. At that point, I seriously considered canceling the rest of the food and walking out. I really wanted to give this place a fair shot, but it was a terrible experience. I spent $30 on mediocre pad see ew and bad wonton chips. I won't be coming back, and I hope this helps anyone else thinking about trying this place. Believe the reviews. If I could, I'd give this place a 0.

Great flavors! Fresh and yummy Thai food. The best around this area in my opinion. I always have a great experience with pick up and delivery. The staff is friendly. I've only eaten there once and I enjoyed the ambiance. I always order from here if I'm in the mood for Thai near by.

My Bad, i forgot i don't like fried pork/skin w/fats, and i ordered just that lol ALL my fault, it's like Lechon, Some People like that but not for me Food was tasty n flavorful n i'm definitely coming back here again. They do serve Beer! Building needs a lil makeover/remodeling but Parking is so much better than going to Thai Town in Hollywood.

Bottom line is the food isn't very good. It is edible and ok but I wouldn't dine in again even if I was in the area. There are dozens of Thai joints to choose from Service was quick to get the order but zero follow up, no refills, I had to ask twice for the bill, absolutely ignored. Ambiance is messy. Junk is stacked everywhere. I didn't like anything about this joint but gave them 2 stars because their pad Thai noodles were decent. Even our mango and sweet rice dish was bland. How do you mess up dessert? YMMV

The watery green curry with chicken and canned bamboo shoots tasted more like Tom Yum soup but ok I like Tom Yum it just wasn't green curry. The red veggie curry was an insult. To put something on a menu and claim it is made with vegetables and charge 17 dollars for it through Grub Hub and then to send out watery red liquid with canned bamboo shoots and a couple of pieces of red pepper is unacceptable. (No Broccoli, no eggplant, no carrot nothing resembling veggies) . It also tasted like it had orange rinds in it and bay leaves. Totally weird and gross. Save your money.

Been coming here for years. Food is good BUT not worth coming here to be treated as if you're a burden especially as a paying customer. I came for an online order pickup and designated it as a curbside pickup. Keep in mind this was during a heatwave. Just wanted to pickup food and go home. I parked where the stalls are for pickup and waited until the designated time came and then called the restaurant as instructed per the online order. I was put on hold. So I figured I'll give them extra time. Then called again after a few minutes and they were clearly annoyed. Said they no longer do the curbside pickup to the car and won't be taking it out. I had to go inside. Ok that's fine. I'll walk inside real quick. I get in and again... met with clear attitude and annoyance. Bunch of huffing and puffing and stressed out noises coming from the lady packaging orders. If it wasn't for the terrible attitude, I would've kept my mouth shut but I then mentioned if they're not going to do curbside pickup anymore at least have the website updated... or maybe add a sign to notify customers we gotta go inside? Also, I tipped per usual because I appreciated them making an effort to bring it out to me. Whatever. So I bring up asking to have the tip returned from the card. I don't mind paying for the food I ordered but a tip, when not dining in and being met with serious attitude is the last thing I want them taking from me when they clearly don't even want my business. They said the website would automatically refund the entire tip because there was no more curbside pickup. I said ok and drove off. Then checked my account and was somehow charged three times. Called back and wanted some receipt or written proof of the refunded tip and they said they can't provide that. Either way... I should've taken the high road. Let them keep the tip and cut my losses then and there. Needless to say. I won't be coming here anymore even if it hurts me given I've loved their food forever. THAIGER down the street on Colorado is my new go-to Thai now.

Fantastic food we ordered pad Thai, pad see ew,papaya salad, and panpang curry and dessert was mango sticky rice it was all on point. We had Thai tea -everything u want in a tea was there. Service was great ,very attentive ,boxed our left overs and sent us home two complementary Thai teas.Definitely will come back, highly recommended.

Good spot to swing by if you want to get your Thai fix on. Food was decent and portion was generous. Make sure to check-in on Yelp and you can get a free Thai iced tea! Their Panang curry was very good. Thick consistency and a lot of flavor. I thought their pad Thai, pad kee mao, and papaya salad were just average. Make sure to ask for their spice tray so you can flavor it to your taste buds! Service was great and the overall ambiance of this place reminds me of a really chill dining spot for a quick bite.

I ordered sweet and sour pork on the dinner and was so disappointed that it was not cooked the traditional way, but was almost a soup, there was so much liquid. I had a few bites, and the flavor was spot on, the drastic change in tradition was not appreciated.

Bad online service they no longer go through 3rd party processing clorder.com. But their restaurant is active on the site. Very wrong they forgot to follow up that they no longer use that service. So we did not get our order. Very bad business practice.

This is the best! I came here after Thai Roxy at Avenue 50 kicked me out for not having a QR reader. Thai Coconut at 1801 Colorado Blvd. in Eagle Rock, CA is one of the nicest and friendliest restaurants I've been to. I'm vegetarian and have no problem ordering dishes. And every time you enter you'd think the staff had met their long-lost friend, they are so friendly. I can go over the top recommending this place; it is so good. Yummy.

I think I went to Thai Coconut the same day as the reviewer named Ziggy below and 3 of her family members did, because I was usually there on Sunday. But I think I left before the incident. The waitress Pia was always smiley and warm welcomed me. She is a hard working person. She always repeated my order after I ordered. I don't think she said you were a liar. She was just trying to explain why your order hadn't been placed. If I were her and I thought I didn't hear the order, I would definitely say I didn't hear it. I used to work in the service industry, so I totally understand why the waiter has to always smile when there comes an issue with the customer, because being aggressive would only worsen the situation. And since you were releasing the steam, of course everybody had to let you do it without saying anything to make you feel even worse. I think this was a miscommunication issue, which could be solved. And besides, anyone can do mistakes. I did mistakes all the time, but I learn from it. This reviewer might spoke too softly that the waitress didn't hear. I don't know, because my wife and I were sitting at the other side of the place. I'm really sorry for what happened to her and hope she could find a nice restaurant that could accommodate your need. I still love Thai Coconut though. Their food tastes so much like those that I had in Bangkok. We especially love their coconut soup and Chinese broccoli with crispy pork. I will definitely take my family there again.

We came a few times in the past with our elderly family members, and usually were nicely surprised by the food and service. Today, we were just surprised about the lack of service. There were four of us and we all ordered one entree each, with an additional two appetizers. The app's came quickly and three of the four main dishes came one- by-one, but the fourth item never made it to the table. 1. A group of four of us comes into the restaurant together and I believe one can safely predict that we all want to eat together. So, getting three of the four dishes sporadically delivered to the table was not great, but we dealt with it. 2. We reached out to one of the waitresses when the last dish (my order of Spicy Beef Salad) didn't get brought to the table. She checked the "ticket" and told us that it was not ordered. 3. We told her "Yes, it was", and we all heard me ordering it. - This waitress went ahead and put it into the system, which didn't help the other three dishes stay warm ... 4. The original waitress came and said "You did not order that salad". - I kept telling her, "Yes, I did and the others heard me ordering it". She kept on insisting that I didn't order it, which made me ask her "Are you saying that I am lying?" - She then tried to turn the table on me, by asking me if I think that she is lying all the while smiling at me. - I really tried to stay composed, but at some point I told her that smiling didn't resolve the issue and if she didn't hear me ordering the salad, then she should just acknowledge that. - At some point she did just that by admitting that she "didn't hear" me ordering the salad. In the end we got the check and gladly left without leaving a tip. Needless to say, any restaurant that calls me or my family liars is not worth going back to.

Confused by some of the poor reviews so felt compelled to balance them out after a lovely meal last night. I've been to Thai Coconut several times now and have enjoyed my meal each time. I've had the pad thai, pad see ew, and several curries and all have been very tasty. Even better than the food, the service is excellent. They are attentive, friendly and very professional. I am vegan, though typically eat here with non-vegan friends, and the staff are considerate, knowledgeable about their menu, and eager to accommodate all. They've offered to modify dishes and suggest alternatives so that I can order items I'd like without sacrificing flavor. Last night, I brought a rescue dog that I am fostering (who can not be left alone) and the staff was very kind and accommodating, allowing us to walk through the restaurant to their outdoor patio seating, bringing him water, and even offering to bring him some food on the house (he can't eat human food -- but thank you!). Definitely recommended and I know I'll be back again.

Ehh. The food is not bad, but its not great either. Ive been to other thai places and this place seems to be lacking flavor. Im far from expert here, but I can tell the food is lacking something. Price was fair and customer service was ok. Go check it out and share your experience.

They have a very good variety of Thai food, The soups are delicious and the noodles are amazing. The service is excellent when dining in and the delivery is almost a 90 percent on point...I want to thank the young lady that delivered my food on Wednesday..she is the best...she went out of her way to bring me everything correct even when the first driver forgot it!!!! I love their food and we always call them almost every week! The best combination fried rice and the chicken sauteed,with pad seed yee!!!! Thanks for grat food and great service!!!!!!

The yellow curry was very weak. It was thin and not much flavor. I had to put a bunch of chili sauce in to get any flavor. They were very nice to us, so no issue with service.

Love this place. Great food and great staff. Our soup was delicious! We paired it with seafood fried rice and fried tofu. All great. Decently priced. We ended with coffee and it was perfect- strong. Will definitely be back for the coconut ice cream and Thai tea. The waitress was very attentive and the food came right away. This place always had Parking. Tables are distanced and that feels safe.

This is my favorite little Thai spot here in LA. There's cute outdoor seating on the staff is very friendly and attentive. The prices are great and the food is good what more can we ask for!
