The most friendly, cozy, and delicious restaurant ever. The staff are kind, care about their customers, and the quality of their food is top notch. Me and my boyfriend are always craving food from here. I have the most pleasant experience every single time. Loved this place! Food was delicious, incredible flavor. I loved the Pad see ew with beef and sticky rice 10/10. I also loved that they give you a water jug to fill your cup when needed. Fast service and friendly staff. Joy was our server and she was very sweet and was even having conversations with my 7yo. Would recommend to anyone!

Nice Thai spot in St John's! Food is plenty to share and delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. Mostly street parking but still easy to find parking. Highly recommend the Khao soi!

Delicious Yellow Curry and Pad Garlicky (although my Thai Hot could have been hotter!). I see that others have had less than satisfactory meals here, but from our visit, I see nothing to complain about. Either they've addressed the issues mentioned previously, or our experience was anomaly. Somehow I doubt that. A little out of the way for us, but good to know there's a place in St. Johns that makes some darn good Thai food.

I think we have tried most things on their menu here. I am happy that it's our neighborhood Thai restaurant because their food is of quality. I have been a green curry fan since my travels to Chiang Mai, Thailand, and theirs tastes exactly like it should. There are so many good things to order here: Pad Kee Mow, panang red curry, pineapple fried rice, chicken satay. Very friendly staff.

I ordered takeout here. They were super prompt and prices were fair. The staff was so friendly and the vegan noodle soup was delicious. The veggies were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The interior of the restaurant had a really nice vibe and appeared very clean. I will definitely be back!

Love this place!! They were the sweetest family and made amazing food! I got the green curry, mango sticky rice & a Thai tea and it was all amazing. The service was also fantastic even though I was alone and they were busy!

BE AWARE Found a piece of foil tie or metal of some sort Ordered fried rice togo just now the manager or employee refused to help me with my refund said the owner is in Thailand and can only do a credits, for a refund she needs to call and ask for permission and wanted me to bring the rice into the restaurant so she could verify what it was, which I didn't have any problem doing but she than started stating that she is too busy right now to help and pretty much brushed me away! It's hard to support small businesses when they don't want to handle things like professionally! This is definitely something you might want to consider before you eat here!

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in St John's. They are always so welcoming. The food is comforting and reasonably priced. The spices are spot on. I've only been here for sit ins so have no idea on the pick up section, but I witnessed a few people come and go fairly quickly with their orders. Nice decor and well kept interior. Will be back

This is an okay Thai take out spot. The service is extremely fast and attentive. I had the pad kee mao with pork. The flavors were nice but it had too much sauce for me and the portion was a bit small compared to other similar Thai spots. The pork however was perfectly cooked and tender.

The food was delicious, but my husband and I both ended up with upset stomachs that night and the next morning.

Really good food. Very nice staff. I'm kind of disappointed in the portion sizes though. I normally order the Pad Kee Mao. The dish is delicious but the portions recently have been really small especially for the cost. Takeout noodles used to feed at least two people. The dishes recently barely feed one. Again, really enjoy the food. Advice to management: bump up that portion size! Thanks!

Great food great service. I generally order medium spice, this time was mild plus. Mild plus was very good but next time I'll do medium spice.

Four adults, one child, we ordered pad thai, orange chicken (best ever!), chicken satay, mango sticky rice - all of us were so satisfied, and full! Two of us had enough for dinner for two days, the portions were large. We all ate well. Definitely on our take out list now. Restaurant is very clean, staff were helpful, friendly. I love St Johns.

I've enjoyed every meal I've had here...so have multiple friends I've taken there to dine with. Fresh, quality, tasty food and generous quantities. The staff is friendly as well.

I had to stop in the middle of my meal just to leave this review. 10 out of 10 this is the best food I've had in the city Thai wise.. very cute, sweet atmosphere, and fast to boot.

The food is amazing and the service is great. The best thai food in all of Portland or Vancouver. This is the type of place that makes portland tolerable and made the 2 months I had to live in this horrible city easier. I definitely appreciate the delicious food!

Ordered delivery. Food is fresh. Veggies crisp in papaya salad. Tastes are bright. Chicken teriyaki grilled to perfection. This place is a go to.

Ordered a takeout; a veggie pad se ew and a cashew nut chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. Friendly and fast.

Looking for lunch in the area and Thai Cottage popped up as being nearby. Ordered on the phone and headed their way. Chicken yellow curry with medium spice - small amount of chicken with lots of veggies. Flavor was good, not too spicy. Wish there was more meat but I made due. Pot stickers - my favorite! The sauce complimented the appetizer nicely and I savored each bite. The worker up front was very helpful in recommending a dessert place nearby. In the time of COVID, the area was clean and had a spit guard up between me and him.

Good flavor and friendly service. Deducting a point because the noodles were over done and somewhat mushy. I love all the veggies and I feel this could have had more vegetables. Fair amount of protein and spiced just right!

Second update: You know what...after having it weigh on me all day and all night and into the next day...I'm removing even more stars. What happened was just NO ok. YOU messed up my order. I was *very* nice and came by the NEXT DAY during the afternoon bc I knew how busy you all were the night before. I asked if anything could be done and said it really wasn't a big deal, I come here every week, it's usually great. Can I just get some sauce? YOU misunderstood. I was very kind, patient, and just wanted the smallest of recompense...for which I was YELLED at and about for ten solid minutes as I stood there waiting for my food. No. No no no. Not ok. There is enough hate in this world, and I did not deserve to be treated like that at all, ever. Hey y'all. It makes me really sad to do this, but after today I'm REALLY upset. We order food here EVERY week, and this week our order came without any spicy sauce. It was completely bland tofu and veggies with rice. Today I came in to ask if I could just get a side of spicy sauce so we could eat our food, and was told of course sure. The guy (Dang? Please forgive my spelling) was nice but we had a lot of communication issues. A woman came out from the back and *very* rudely told me they would be charging me an additional two dollars if I ordered extra sauce again. I said, while I did ask for extra sauce we received NO spicy sauce, and I was never previously told on my 10+ orders it wasn't possible to get extra sauce. That's beside the point. I didn't make it a big deal at all when I came in, I just wanted sauce so we could eat our food, and asked very nicely. The guy said he would have them remake the order but she was VERY loudly exclaiming about it and you could hear MY name several times coming from the back. I tried to get up to leave and told him three times I could hear how and how uncomfortable I was given she's making my food, and that I would just leave. He said no no it's no big deal she's not upset....sir....you can hear her SHOUTING from the back my name. I got my food, took it home...and it's chicken. We don't eat chicken. We always order tofu. AND I had given them the physical receipt from last nights order. I give up y'all. I feel awful after all that. Not sure we will be back...

Food is good! This restaurant is not a high end gourmet Thai restaurant, but they consistently produce clean, healthy Thai food. I've never felt it was overly salty like a lot of restaurants. FULL DISCLOSURE: I'm not a highly selective foodie like a lot of people in Portland. I like decent Thai food that is tasty and moderate to high quality. Thank you. One favorite I like to order: anything from the stir fry part of the menu. All great! Ok I'm done. Thai Cottage is decent Thai food... Make sure and visit the place.

Amazing food and service. The parking is a little difficult depending on the time of day, however it is worth the headache. The ambiance and all around vibe is great. I couldn't recommend it enough. 15-10

Ordered very late Friday night over the phone. Was told 12 minutes, faster than I could get there I expected)). Ordered two Currys, rice and crab puffs. Hot delicious food! I have opinions about the best Thai food in Portland area, this is a great restaurant. Food to go, was hot and very tasty, love the sticky white rice. Highly recommended!

Quick and Easy​ Lunch I stopped into the Thai Cottage last year with business colleagues from EVRAZ Portland. This was their goto lunch place and they said I would not be disappointed if I ate there and they were right. I was actually on my way to the airport to catch an afternoon flight but decided to skip eating at the airport and to eat here instead. Nestled into a nice strip of shops and businesses with a yellow storefront, it was easy to find. Parking was only available ion the street but was easily found. The restaurant inside is not a big place but there ample enough space for about 30 people to eat at once time. It is a family run place and the people that own and run the restaurant treat you very well like you're part of the family. The smell when you walk in is very inviting, you can smell meat cooking, the species, the broths, and you know before you even sit down the food is going to be fantastic. We ordered a couple of appetizers, and for my main course, I ordered a curry chicken dish. The broth was fantastic, and very savoury, while not too harsh on the spiciness. The broth had a good texture to it and was easy to eat with a side of rice. This wasn't a huge portion size, hence very good for lunch. The service was great, the food, at least what I had was very good, and very good value for what I paid for it. I would eat there again.

So far, so good! My new neighborhood Thai food spot. I've only had a couple things, a few times, but everything has been fresh, tasty, and consistent! Their Satay portion is large and their dipping sauces on this are NOT to be ignored! The creamy peanut sauce is good, but their cucumber/ pepper / vinegar? Sauce is ridiculous! Doesn't look like much, but it is sweet, and fresh. I want them to sell me that sauce alone...

I've been a regular at Thai Cottage for over two years now. Never disappoints. Great service, quick in and out pick up for Togo orders and the food is always spot on.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. I think about this place whenever I am craving Asian food. I make sure to visit every time I'm in Portland. The must-try dishes are the yellow curry and Pad Thai.

We've been at Thai Cottage yesterday with my hubby and had delicious Fried Rise with veggies and Basil . I love Thai food , been traveling there and spend one month living there . It's good to be able to have Thai food close to my house and remind myself about an amazing vacation I had :) Food was delicious, very nice place with cute interior . Servers and chef were very friendly. We will be coming again !

I loveeee Thai cottage. I've gone here since I was in middle school and it will always be the best Thai restaurant in my opinion. Their Crab puffs & Pad Thai are always amazing. The service is always lovely even their busy they do their absolute best. The vibe inside the restaurant is also beautiful.

Waitress was nice but in a hurry. Benn here a few times in the last couple years as it's not in my neighborhood but in my daughter's. Food was ok.

I wondered into this delightful, quiet little Thai bistro after exploring the Cathedral Bridge/Heights area and had a late lunch during my vacation. I ordered the creamy soup with mushrooms, broccoli, and onions and it was an amazing, hot way to start the meal on a cool Portland afternoon. The attendant was very nice and accommodating. For the entree, I ordered the Chicken Thai Fried Rice. It was so good. It was served hot. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend it for delicious yet feeling Thai food in the Cathedral Heights area. You will not be disappointed.

So let's talk about this place. Thai cottage is a small little located in Portland. I'm actually suprised that the reviews are so low because my own personal experience was AMAZING. I came here while in town for coffee fest with a large group, and the server was the most pleasant person I have ever met in my life. Not only did she accommodate us quickly, she was so sweet! I do feel bad because we did get here quite late and did not realize they were closing up soon. But how is the food? Well in my opinion it's great! The chicken wings were packed full of flavor and juicy, and my main dish was so good. I got fried rice with shrimp and let me tell you it was just delicious. We actually stayed much later then we should've have, as since we are from Vegas we are used to places being open much longer, however not once did she make us feel unwelcome or u wanted. She let us enjoy ourselves knowing we were tired from a long day, and the next time I am in town I plan to come back! Over all I would give this place a 10/5 if I could because I was blown away!!

Sooooooo Good Always hits the Thai cravings! I especially love the yellow curry. Also their decor is spot on they have these paintings of what I believe are Thai medicine tattoos and it adds to the ambience. The service is also very quick and very friendly. Definitely would recommend to a close friend or couple looking for a date night.

I've eaten at Thai Cottage a handful of times and the food is always fantastic. Tonight though, I took the long way home on an already lengthy commute so I could swing by and pick up take out, but they never answered the phone. Google says they're open so I tried a few times but the phone just rang and rang. Just a bit disappointed I couldn't get my pad Thai tonight!

This place serve some of the most delicious Thai food in the area. They offer a variety of dishes that you won't find in other Thai restaurants. Eating pad Thai and your go to green or yellow Curries are cool but I'd like to try something out of the ordinary. If you're into duck, fried pork belly, soft shell crab then this is definitely the place for you. Pros: -Each dish that I've had was delicious and authentic. -They are generous with their portion Cons: -Their dishes and drinks can be too sweet for someone who perfer a low carb diet. -Food does take awhile to serve, so if you're starving, you might want to check somewhere else.

Great food and service in Saint Johns. Some of the best peanut sauce in the city . Have been here several times never been disappointed.

This is one of the better thai places I've found in Portland! I ordered pick up which could have been easier. It is extremely difficult to find a menu for this restaurant, I found one on grubhub (ugh) and when I went to order, the guy wasn't sure what I was talking about (I think they make up combo options that the restaurant doesn't actually have on their menu). I also didn't see one inside the restaurant when picking up - and the guy who checked me out was also on the phone taking an order at the same time so I didn't have a chance to ask. I ended up getting the chicken curry and pad thai as well as crab rangoons (duh!). It was all so delicious! I wanted to eat the curry sauce with a spoon haha I definitely love having a good thai place so close! I want to come back during the day and try some thai iced tea. This place looks like it'll be super cozy and fun to hang out at when Rona goes away.

This Thai restaurant is fabulous!!! The crispy basil with chicken and shrimp is my go to but many things on the menu are super delicious. The pad Thai is the only thing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend as it tends to be hit or miss. Everything else is really fresh and delicious!!

I haven't had fried rice from here in about six months, since I moved furthrr from Thai Cottage. I had their Pineapple fried rice with chicken as my choice of meat. It was so good . It was the best fried rice I have had since last time I ate here and had the pineapple fried rice with shrimp which costs $3 extra , but is very good. If you have a normal appetite one of their fried rice will feed two . Even when I am starving I can't finish the whole thing. It also had a lot of cashews in it and just the right mild spice for me!!!

I just came back to live to St. John. Thai Cottage is the closest Thai restaurant to my home. I really wanted to like this place, but after several disappointments in a row, I am done with this place. Just one more thing in case the owners read this. Look at the people working in your kitchen. Doesn't seem they care about the final product, about putting some love and pride in their cooking. I'm done wasting my money. Tons of alternatives.

Great little Thai place in the centEr of St. John's. For my first visit I tried the Phad Thai as a ploy to compare to other restaurants.... It's one dish that you havee to get right within this genre. It was definitely good but I would imagine there are other dishes they specialize in. I would imagine thee vibe would be better at night as it's hard to get into K-pop before noon.

Thai Cottage is our "we don't want to cook tonight so let's do Thai Cottage". It's nothing extraordinary, but it is consistent and tastes fresh and not over salty. They put plenty of different vegetables and don't over-supplement with onion. (Once, at an unnamed different Thai restaurant I reassembled all the onion pieces back into a medium-size bulb and then there were maybe one piece of broccoli.)

You gotta try the wings !! So Good !! I was very impressed with the Green Curry with eggplant. Seriously though, you have to get the deep fried basil wings, just the right amount of spicy !!

Hadn't been here for years. Stopped coming because I found a better spot in NoPo. Came back tonight because I didn't want to drive to my regular spot (Thai Ginger) and was underwhelmed by their chicken pad thai. Chicken was inconsistent and the noodles were overcooked. I remember why I stopped coming here... Will not be returning.
