Delicious food, drink, and dessert.
The chilli fish was crispy, tasty, and perfectly cooked.
We requested a change on the noodle, and it was good.
The mango with sticky rice was also delicious.
The staff (a lady) was very nice, friendly, and attentive.
The ambiance was cozy with soft music, and good interior design, very comfortable, and not too noisy.
Seating area is only available indoor.
Toilets for customers are available.

Absolutely authentic Thai food, felt just like in Thailand. The service was super good too, extremely friendly and the prices are reasonable. A place surely worth recommending, we will come back!

This place is an amazing authentic thai restaurant. The food was fresh and packed loads of flavour with good portion sizes. Staff are very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to trying the rest of the menu :-) 5* highly recommend!

We had beef and prawns stir fry. Delicious and very nice wine which is rare. We will definitely come back to try something else.

This was a really good meal at a reasonable price. The place only had one other table seated and I hope people start visiting. The exterior needs a little upkeep, but the food was fresh and they fulfilled our requests (sauce on the side, no aubergines).
She had the Tamarind Duck with sauce on the side. I had the Green Curry Chicken with no aubergines and Egg Fried Rice. We also had the Duck Roll (not pictured) and it was quite good (two rolls).

Absolutely amazing experience.
The food was fantastic and tasty, prices are very affordable especially for the food quantity.
It was very busy at the time when we came but the staff handled it amazingly. We came, relaxed and enjoyed our time there.
Definitely a must visit if in Richmond ☺

Absolutely loved our lunch here. The food was fresh and tasty. I had the pork pad thai and it was great, would definitely recommend. The staff were also very sweet and friendly. I would definitely come back here for lunch or dinner in the future

Food is extremely overpriced for what you get, it was average tasting, steak tastes sugary for some reason and the crispy fish was very soggy. Oddly to get the 2 course menu for 2 cost about £10 more than if we had ordered all the exact same dishes individually which is baffling. The staff were nice enough but would definitely not go back as there are much better places nearby for that price point, even a lot less, with much better atmosphere. For reference we paid £100 for a very average 2 course menu for 2, a water and a coke.

Yelp
I have been to this Thai restaurant many times and I love the look of the place as you approach it. No idea if it looks authentique but it makes you feel like they know what they are doing.
Step inside and you will find a very warm, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff and some great food.
This is one of a few Thai offerings in Richmond but it was the first and has been here a long time. Express lunches ideal for a business meet or a quickie hour out of the office but a great place to eat in the evening and also well set up for parties or the office special occasion.
Other Thai restaurants go for the sterile and enclosed feel with modern square tables and as many as they can get in. This for me leads to a canteen feel and is ideal if you don't have much time. Thai elephant is more of a family night out style of a place, somewhere you want to spend a good few hours enjoying yourself.

Yelp
The only Thai place I've been to where the Chicken Larb is not made from typical mystery-meat/ground chicken but rather pounded/coarsely-minced chicken breast (so no odd crunchy bits in the meat).
Their soups contain noticeably fresh vegetables too.

Yelp
This was a surprisingly great Thai experience! After a day out and about in Richmond, it seemed like Thai food would be the perfect end to the day. A quick look on Yelp and Thai Elephant was right around the corner from where we were. We strolled over and immediately noticed that there were quite a few people (it was 9pm on the Saturday before Easter).
We quickly realized this was for a good reason! We ordered Thai Dumplings as a starter which were flavorful and well arranged. Maybe the best steamed dumplings I've had in this country! Then we shared king prawn pad thai and chicken green curry with steamed rice. Both dishes were exquisite!
The pad thai was the perfect amount of sweetness and saltiness with a generous amount of peanuts, an artfully presented enormous prawn (plus other prawns in the pad thai) and just really well cooked.
The green curry was nice and spicy, with good sized pieces of flavorful chicken and lovely vegetables.
Service was prompt and the staff was very nice. We didn't feel rushed, even when we were lingering over our green tea at 10:30pm.
All in all, we've already planned to go back here and I can see it quickly becoming a favorite!

Yelp
A classic which is somewhat hidden in Richmond. The quality of food is excellent and the volcano chicken is a must just for the reaction it gets. Probably the best Thai in the area.

Yelp
The Thai Elephant is a nice mid-range restaurant in Richmond. It is slightly hard to find, off the main road (near the bus depot) so it isn't in the best location.
While the atmosphere, building and decor is good, the food is ok, nothing special, and for the price, I would rather go elsewhere. There are other (better) Thai alternatives that are close by e.g. Hilltribe and Thai Cafe.

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner here over winter and it was really yummy! We sat in their conservatory- which me and my friends really liked! Even tho the restaurant is quite hidden in Richmond it was reasonably busy. Service was a tad slow but staff were lovely and so we didn't mind the wait as much. I would definitely go again.

Yelp
Empty restaurant, average food, no ambience, scruffy decor, and seriously sow service. Avoid.

Yelp
Food was really good but service was quite bad. The staff didn't understand what lime was and a friend had to ask for it 3 times but ended up with lemon. The timing of the dishes was horrible. We were 6 people and our dishes came at different times causing some of us to have to wait for others and by the time everyone's dishes were received some plates were cold. Some of our friends only got their steam rice as our plates were being cleared. I have seen some obnoxious diners out there but I have to say that was definitely not us. We politely repeated our orders but I'm not sure the staff has been trained. They started dancing for joy as people started leaving the restaurant around 9pm... not really the welcoming experience I would expect.

Yelp
Phad Thai is tough to prepare well. Thai Elephant serves a good Phad Thai! I'd definitely eat here again.
