I used to love this place! I always get the F1 with Shrimp, Mild Spice, and garlic cooked in. The Fried Rice is awesome and it taste the exact same every time I order it. The family that owns this spot is very unpleasant and unprofessional. I always get my food to go but every time I go there are lots of people dining in. I ordered 3 F1s and 3 Sweet and Spicy chicken today totaling $111. When we reached our home the food was absolutely flavorless and disgusting. When we called to see if we could return to have the food reprepared I was told it was nothing they could do. I have been here over 20 times. I wouldn't recommend them they have no honor or loyalty to the customers that frequent their restaurant. Now I have to spend more money to feed my family tonight. What a waste.

Google
the pictures and reviews do not do this place justice. i have been here 3x now, and have never walked out disappointed. the curry lychee with tofu is some of the best thai food i’ve ever had. the portion sizes are phenomenal, and the staff is so friendly. my friends have always ordered the chicken pad thai, and enjoy it just as much. highly recommend!!!

Google
We went there couple of times and food is wonderful here. I have tried many famous Thai food places and food here feels authentic with rich flavours and textures. There curries are something I’m fan of but fried rices are very average. Having said that the place is really small and little gloomy to dine in.

Google
I hate to give a low review because I've never actually eaten here. I just don't know how to update what Google says. Google says they offer vegan options, but I just called and none of their dishes can be made vegan since the sauces are all premixed with fish sauce and can't be taken out.

I brought a friend to try Thai Fresh today, but the experience was disappointing. The food was not authentic, and the waitress, who is Cambodian, was very rude and unprofessional. When I mentioned that the food didn’t taste like real Thai food, she said, “This is what we make in America.” The chef is also not Thai — very disappointing experience!

Google
This is a busy resto, people also nice and kind. It will be better not dine in and take out. The kitchen is one wall attach to eating tables , The cooker fights very hard with pots and shevals making loude endless sound , that drove all customers to the other sides. Maybe some customer will still enjoy the atmosphere. Ordered noodle , thick and rich hot flavor. also xiaolong bao , hand made, taste is good as Shanghai China.

Google
Just a heads-up—regardless of your party size (we were a group of 3), a 15% tip is automatically added to the bill. This was the first time I’ve seen that for a table with fewer than 5 people. When I asked about it, they said it’s mandatory, and they even prompt you to leave an additional tip at checkout. The food was average, but the place had an off-putting smell and the water cups were in poor condition. Not planning to return.

Yelp
I have been remiss! I order DoorDash from Thai Fresh a couple of times a month for a while now. I am happy to finally share a review. Each time I have ordered, the food arrives hot, fresh and delicious! The portions are plentiful and there is a generous amount of proteins and veggies in each dish. The flavors are some of the best in the area and the prices are reasonable. I have ordered from many Thai places to explore what's out there and Thai Fresh has been the best in this area and they are also consistent with its quality and the orders are correct! I have dined in once and we did have a nice experience! Very good service! We tried so many things. Some of my favorites are the chicken Pad Thai, the Bangkok chicken and the sweet and spicy chicken. I also enjoyed the glass noodles and the pad se'ew.

Yelp
OMG, I had the very best Thai of my life at this restaurant. I got there a bit early, and they hadn't actually opened yet. But when they saw me standing outside, they invited me in to sit while they finished their preparations for the day. The interior is somewhat unassuming (they are in a small strip mall) but the service is outstanding and I cannot say enough about the food. There were three in our party, and we started with the Spring Rolls, then ordered the Panang Curry, the Gang Peanut Curry, and the Pad Ka Prow. We sampled them all and couldn't decide which was the best - they were all that good. I look forward to being in the area again and discovering additional items to try.

Yelp
I was craving some warm soup to try . I decided to try the Tom Kha soup which was okay but I didn't realize it had so many mushrooms in it. I missed the part where it said it's the Tom Yum soup with coconut milk in it. The broth and chicken were good. I just personally don't like mushrooms and I can't eat cilantro unfortunately. I also got the pad see-ewe which was good with a decent portion of chicken. I ordered a hot spice level and it didn't even leave any sort of numbing or sweating feelings. I guess next time I need to order Thai hot specifically.

Yelp
My husband and I got Doordash from here yesterday. I've seen the restaurant before (it's on Haggerty, in Northville) but not sure I've ever been in; they were offering 15% off your order, up to $6, on Doordash, which was enticing, so we decided to try it. My husband ordered the peanut curry dish, mild, with chicken, and I got cashew chicken, mild, which is my standard dish from a Thai place to see if I like it. The portions were VERY generous - I probably have 1/2 to 3/4 of mine left to eat - but as someone who can't do spice very well, the spice level was more of an actual Thai mild vs. an "American mild," FYI, so I'd probably order no spice next time. My husband's dish was the same, spice-wise. Both were very good, though. My other complaint is that although there was a ton of chicken, there were not a lot of cashews in the dish. I also got a Thai iced tea, and although it was pricey ($6), it was delicious. It was served in a bubble tea-type container (I think because Thai Fresh also serves bubble tea?) along with a bubble tea-type straw. Overall based on this experience, I would order again from them, but would probably say "no spice" instead of "mild" next time.

Yelp
Ordered pad se ew yesterday on door dash, the noodles were very tasty and the food came quickly! Not very spicy even though I ordered spicy. Not bad overall

Patricia P.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from here. Absolutely delicious! The chicken satay is now an absolute favorite. Though they give a generous portion of peanut sauce to go with it, our family enjoys it so much, we're going to order more of it next time! All other dishes were fabulous as well. The Gang Peanut Curry with Beef was spiced just right, and the Khao Pad Fresh was quite tasty. Overall, a fantastic takeout experience!

Yelp
While on a recent business trip to Michigan, I suddenly longed for Asian food around dinner time. Since I didn't have a rental car, I had to find somewhere I could walk to from my hotel and thanks to my trusted Yelp app, I was able to search and find Thai Fresh. I crossed 8 Mile Road on Haggerty Road and discovered the restaurant in a strip mall. I was the last customer of the evening that was dining in, but there were a few additional customers waiting for takeout orders. Service was a bit on the slower side, but it was apparent the restaurant was understaffed at the time. The individual who greeted me at the front turned out to be one of the owners. We engaged in a bit of small talk and he was diligent about checking in periodically after he serviced the remaining customers. To start, I ordered the spring roll appetizer. It was not what I expected as the two rolls were thinner than I am accustomed to, but you can't expect too much at a $3.50 price point. For my entree, I went with the Pad Pak which includes choice of meat, broccoli, carrots, bamboo strips, baby corn, water chestnuts and mushrooms in a mushroom soy sauce. The dish certainly hit the spot and satisfied my craving!

Yelp
This little place is kind of hidden in a plaza. When you enter you are greeted with a friendly smile. Service was fast and they check on you time to time to make sure there is nothing else you need. We got the soup dumplings (pork) they were phenomenal. The menu even has a cute way of showing you how to properly eat your soup dumplings without burning your mouth. We also got the chicken and potatoes in yellow curry ( forgot the name) and it was delicious!!!! I wanted to give this place a 5 stars but they had no desserts to offer. Plenty of parking Chopsticks guidance ( if you never used them before) I will definitely be back !!!!!!!!

Yelp
Hot food. Fresh and delish. The Curry Pad Thai was seasoned to perfection and the spice as well as the temperature of the food was just right.

Yelp
Best in the area. We live in Northville and have tried several others. Chicken Pad Thai and fried rice was excellent. Very friendly and pleasant waiter also.

Yelp
My husband and I ate dinner here last night and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. I love Thai food so much and even visited there a few times so needless to say I am a big critic too. With all that being said, I stand by this 5 star rating. We ordered chicken pad see ewe and Penang chicken curry. Both were really good. We also drank Thai iced tea which also tasted great. I thoroughly enjoyed having dinner at this cute place and recommend it.

Yelp
I did Uber eats cause it was the shortest delivery time and was highly rated. The larb was gross it was cooked with ground chicken.i think it was synthetic and the texture was slimy. The Tom kha was also gross. Again the chicken they put is not real meat.

Yelp
Good food, but not the best customer service. Needs a little updating in the dining area
google avatar

Yelp
This is my go-to Thai in the Novi area. I've ordered delivery from here a few times from doordash, and the food quality is always consistent. I usually order drunken noodles with chicken and mild spice. Their mild is a true mild which I appreciate! I also like the vegetables they include in that dish (green bell peppers and onions). This time I decided to add on crab wonton with plum sauce which was also excellent. The food is enough to feed me usually in two meal unless I'm starving. One of these days, I'll have to try dining in.
google avatar

Minu A.

Yelp
Ordered takeout on DoorDash. The Tom kha soup was a little salty and I wish it was more coconutty and creamier but it wasn't watery like I have had at some places so it was okay. And the chili fried rice just tasted like regular fried rice to me so I don't see the specialty. I would probably get food here if it's like the only thing open it's not too bad but it's pretty mid in my opinion.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was really good and flavorful. The crispy rolls are amazing! I had it delivered and everything was carefully packed

Yelp
Ordered Shanghai Beef Noodle Soup, as I am really into Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Okay, it clearly says it's "Shanghai", but my expectation was Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. So there was some disappointment as it wasn't what I was expecting but it was good. As always, beef in the beef noodle soup was really tender, flavorful, soup was hot through out the meal and chewy noodles. Everything was good. Next time, I will know what to expect from Shanghai Beef Noodle Soup and will be able to enjoy it way more than the first time try today.

Yelp
This is my new go to for pad thai. I especially like the tofu pad thai here. I appreciate the soft gooeyness of the rice noodles (unlike some other thai places, the rice noodles haven't been under cooked). I also like how the lemon is very juicy and infuses the whole dish when you squeeze it over the sauce. I live somewhat far from this shop, so I have only tried it 2 times. Yet, I feel confident recommending it for people interested in good pad thai.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
I wanted a fruit flavored bubble tea, but they only have a black tea or milk tea base. Trying the crab Rangoon, curry noodle with peanut sauce with chicken, 2x Thai hot and added steamed tofu and veggies, and an order of chicken and steamed tofu gang pad curry, sans corn, medium spicy. Normal plates and wares for our food at the table. The water is in a styrofoam cup. The waitress is nice and friendly. The crab Rangoon are super crispy, slightly doughy, still tasty. The curry noodle with the peanut sauce is so creamy, nice sauce. Noodles are a little soft and yummy overcooked, too soggy even. My husband's 2 x Thai spice is too weak for him, it was about medium plus spicy to me. The gang pad curry is decent, sauce is bad. The bill total is $36.47.

Yelp
I need to consider ordering food on days other than Saturday, and perhaps Friday, when everyone else is doing so. There was a line through the restaurant as we all waited for our meals. I felt badly for the one family eating in as they were hemmed into one corner of the restaurant as the line, spaced 6 ft apart, extended past the reception area. I started with the crispy roll, which felt like a hybrid between an egg roll and a spring roll. Minced chicken, numerous vegetables, and vermicelli are rolled in rice paper and deep fried. It was served with a sweet vinegar sauce. I liked the overall flavors but felt that the chicken was a tad overcooked. This was one of the many interesting appetizers available, including spring rolls, fresh rolls, satay, and crab wontons. I'll have to return to sample some of the others on the menu. For my entrée, I had the pad thai prepared with scrambled egg and scallops, prepared at medium spice levels, and topped with crushed peanuts. This was perfect - I enjoyed the overall spiciness without being overwhelmed by it. In addition, I enjoyed a taste of the pad see-ewe. This entrée featured wide rice noodles with beef and broccoli, in a sweet brown sauce. Oh my goodness, the flavors of this dish were fantastic. Everything went well with the Thai-iced tea. It is always a treat. I didn't spot any dishes featuring duck which is disappointing since they are a favorite of mine when I'm dining in Thai/ Chinese restaurants. However, I did note several seafood dishes that I intend to try next. Also, I am still on the hunt for coconut-flavored rice. This is available in other cities but not here. And if I'm going to mention wish lists, papaya salad would also make it on that list.

Yelp
I was really hoping for better from Thai Fresh... the reviews are solid and most everyone seemed to really enjoy it, but it just missed the mark for me. The restaurant itself is easy to access and the staff are nice as well, but the food was off base enough that it ruined the experience. I ordered the Chicken Satay and a curry with chicken -- the Chicken Satay was ok, but the curry was the weak point. The chicken in the curry was undercooked and just not edible... overall wouldn't recommend risking it here since there are so many other options for Thai in this area.
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
I usually scout out hidden gems like Thai Fresh long before now. It's charming, friendly, and the food is great! We had Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups, both a little too salty.. I had my usual Thai entrée, Penang Curry. You know it's good when you eat it cold (!!) for lunch the next day. That's the test. :) The lady who waited on us was extremely gracious and was covering the 4-5 other tables that were occupied while we were there. They had very busy takeout traffic. It was a week night so I thought they were pretty busy overall. Give them a try!

Carolyn G.

Yelp
Great food and service but low on ambiance. Try the Bangkok Chicken under house specialty
google avatar

Chelsey Y.

Yelp
Of all the Thai food I've had in the US, this is by far the closest you'll get to Thai food outside of Thailand 100%. So happy I found this place.
google avatar

Lee C.

Yelp
Disappointed, I ordered a beef curry dish and received chicken last night. Of course it's edible but it's not what I paid for. The curry flavor was good and the medium was not too hot. It was my first experience there. Prices were slightly higher than my local restaurant. The crab Rangoon were okay but I have had better.

Danielle D.

Yelp
I always get the medium spice pad Thai with scallops. Delicious. This is my favorite place to get Thai locally. I've only ever came here once and felt like my pad thai was a little on the dry side. More often than not, it's perfect. Service is usually good. No complaints.
google avatar

Ivan N.

Yelp
Why do you close so early.. at least should be open till 10pm. This really hurts your business.
google avatar

C. D.

Yelp
Food is great! Probably the closest you'll get, in Michigan, to what Thai food is actually like in Thailand... Staff is friendly, smiling and want to make things to your liking. Ambiance is warm colors on the wall, nothing really to write home about, but a suitable atmosphere for enjoying your meal with plenty of booths for one or several people. Family friendly, not upscale, casual ambiance.
google avatar

Cory C.

Yelp
For me, the food was between a 3 and 4, but unfortunately the slowness and service dragged it down to a 3 overall. I ordered peanut curry noodles with beef and shared some pan fried mini pork buns with my parents. I like that they've added some select dim sum type items to the menu for more variety. The buns are really good - the bread is crispy on the bottom and the filling is juicy and flavorful. They are pricy, though: $8.50 for 5. With how small they are, I think $5 or even $6 would be more reasonable. As for the noodles, I enjoyed the rich peanut curry sauce. The beef was a cheap cut that had tenderizing powder in it. They missed a piece in my dish, so I couldn't even chew it - that's how tough it was. I had to spit it out. Overall, though, the food was pretty good. It took too long for our food to arrive, especially for Thai food (my mom and I got the same thing and my dad got Pad cashew - nothing that would take super long to make). We were there for an hour and I only had time to eat some of my entree before I needed to take off to catch my Avengers showtime. Thankfully, my parents were there to ask for a box and take my food back for me. The waitress went off and didn't come around to our table to check on us while we were waiting for our food. To sum up, speed and service left much to be desired, but food was good.
google avatar

Noel W.

Yelp
If you think this is authentic Thai food, you have no idea what your talking about! You can get better Thai food from the grocery store. I asked for a side of fish sauce and she said we don't carry fish sauce just soy sauce...what!?!? The server was really nice though, she was great!
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
The food is so good! Everything we tried was amazing. Soup dumplings, crispy rolls, & Pho all so delicious! I will be back.
google avatar

Sunina G.

Yelp
Love this place! It's close and convenient and has great food! We always get the veggie egg rolls, veggie delight, and Bangkok chicken and ask for it super spicy. While the spice level never hits super spicy, there is a slight kick to the food and the flavors are on point. During COVID, they've made it easy to do curbside pickup as long as you pay ahead!
google avatar

Greg E.

Yelp
We stopped on our way way home during snow storm. Service was fast My dish was bland . Wife's has a nice spice level. In a pinch if we are in the area. It's in a shopping strip. Clean and quite well lit, friendly.
google avatar

Rafi Y.

Yelp
Very fresh and reasonable. The Staff very freindly and service was great, even though one server, but sure enough she is really good at what she is doing. Went there yesterday and today and will definatly keep going there.
google avatar

Carolyn V.

Yelp
I was in a rush and it was close to closing time, so I quickly called in an order, walked over and 5 mins later my veggie Pad Thai was ready for pickup. Nicely done.
google avatar

Sayaka Y.

Yelp
Good customer service. Good pad Thai. I had better Thai dish before but in fact I haven't found Any great Thai restaurant around my town yet. So among other restaurant around my town , so far they have best pad Thai.

Yelp
Always a great meal when we get our Thai food from Thai Fresh! As always our good was great - Masaman Chicken, Pad Khing, Apple Salad, Phat Thai, and Chicken Satay! All great! But, this message is more a compliment to the service team! The girl working the front desk was patient and very, very busy! Honestly, I do not know how she answers phones, takes orders, takes payment, etc. She deserves to be commended. I was there at 7PM Fri. July 17th). BTW: you did not get a 5 because the Phat Thai was not as good as usual. The flavor was a bit missing!
google avatar

Nadia B.

Yelp
Thai food is my favorite food, so I'm constantly trying out new locations. So let me say Thai Fresh is good!! I've had this place quite a few times (the bubble tea keeps me coming) during my last visit I tried the sweet & spicy chicken and I highly recommend it! I would suggest getting it spicier than you normally would with your other dishes or else the sweet will overpower the heat. The service can be hit or miss here, depending on how busy they are. For those of you who are gluten free, the menu clearly labels which dishes are GF (they have many options for you) Other recommendations: Gang Pad Curry or Gang Gai.

Kristina N.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite Thai place of all time and in this area. Every time my parents visit we go. Love the Bangkok chicken and peanut red curry. Have tried at least 5-10 dishes here and have never been disappointed. I also like how many veggies I get with my meals. Staff is attentive and food is delivered fast. Great takeout too. Relaxed ambiance.
google avatar

Julie E.

Yelp
Stopped here while on business. Ordered my usual Thai restaurant go to, pad Thai with medium heat. Not a lot of heat with medium kind of a flat flavor at first but there is a bit of a bite after a few tastes of the dish. This doesn't stand out as my favorite Thai establishment but is a nice local spot for locals. Not the best not the worst somewhere in the middle.
google avatar

Kurt B.

Yelp
Not the closest to our home, but worth the travel going there. Our "go to" Thai restaurant.
google avatar

Brendan R.

Yelp
Great service and food. Super fast service. Thai hot is actually spicy unlike other places, it was a delight!
google avatar

Elaine W.

Yelp
Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Soup dumpling was very mediocre. Extremely small portion yet for $9.50, not worth it. Beef noodle soup was greasy with non-traditional fried beef and a very weird taste of the soup. Would not recommend any Chinese food from this place.

Yelp
Had a wonderful lunch experience on a Sunday afternoon.... the whole place was managed by just a single person who ensured every table was served on time... once we were seated we felt tht the service would be delayed as oly one person was taking care of the entire place most of the tables were full too...but we were wrong the service was super fast... Our Order consisted of a soup , spring roll , fried rice and red curry wit vegetables... The soup was hot spicy and sour at the same time... it was a nice comforting The spring roll was nicely stuffed wit veggies and very crispy and tasted fresh and hot The curry wit veggies too was tasty the coconut milk based curry it was spiced perfectly and we enjoyed it throughly The fried rice was also very tasty and the quantity was very filling.. overall had a wonderful and tasty meal... a nice place to visit for tasty food wit super fast service..

Jerrice D.

Yelp
Went here because I cannot get to my favorite Thai place due to all the annoying construction from here to damn near Lansing. Figured I'd try it when my sister was here. Had drunken noodles add pineapple with chicken medium spice and spring rolls. My sister ordered the curry noodles medium and a Thai tea. They were fast and the food was still piping when I got home. But that didn't help it at all. Mine looked decent but The noodles were oily no taste and mushy which is my kryptonite. The chicken had no flavor (how is that possible?) and apparently medium spice means no spice at all. The spring rolls were as wide as my pinky. Sisters order was dry and no spice. Neither of us ate any further. So Disappointing because I miss drunken noodles since I cannot get to No Thai.

Mikayla T.

Yelp
I love their pad Thai with peanut curry sauce! the staff is so nice and the food is the best around! Crab Rangoons are also a must!
google avatar

Vaishnavi S.

Yelp
On the lookout for some great tasting Thai food? Definitely give Thai Fresh a try! We've been coming here for a while now and love the dine in as well as take away service. It's a cute little place with a slight homely feel, all thanks to the friendly staff and food that satisfies. We've tried their spring rolls, Tom Yum soup, fried rice varieties, pad thai, curries and loved them all! If you like mushrooms definitely give the Pad Khing a try. It's a great dish loaded with your choice of protein, dried black mushrooms and water chestnut in a ginger based sauce - super comforting with steamed rice! In recent pandemic days of takeaways, we've been super happy to see them maintaining the same quality and efficiency in service. Love supporting this small local business!

Yelp
Got the pad thai and there was absolutely no flavor sauce or anything good from the dish and the shrimps were over cooked and probably frozen to start w/. Do not recommend this place if your looking for good thai food!! Was starving and no I lost my appetite
