This was a one woman show and she was phenomenal. She was the host, cashier, waitress, and chef! The broth was my favorite - I could come and drink just that and be fine. We chose the two spicy broths without pork. The meat and veggies were really good quality. I never had bean curd rolls before, that was unique. They had a salad and sauce bar which was minimal - didn’t really need the sauces anyways. The papaya salad they had was great and an excellent appetizer while waiting for your hotpot. My partner and I did the classic AYCE. We didn’t feel the need for the premium and still had so good of a time that we would definitely go back. Thanks for a great time!!

Google
Thai Hot Pot Heaven is a hidden gem! Their hot pot is great, but we are always blown away with the quality and flavors of their regular menu dishes as well! The BBQ beef, incredible! The stir fried chicken, delicious! But the pad kee mao surprised us so much! Incredible unique flavor unlike any other pad kee mao dishes we’ve had before, definitely glad we tried it! A new favorite dish! And the staff are always friendly and helpful! Do yourself a favor and try this place out!

We finally made it here to try their hot pot. It's different from the other places as it's more Thai based, from the broth and also some of the sides. I did like that you can order some of the hot items - chicken and beef skewers, as well as pad see ew and pad kee mao on the side. The veggies were standard on what you would expect to get for hot pot. The meat quality was decent. They also had a shaved ice machine that you can make a simple shaved ice dessert after your meal.

Love this spot, food, owners, atmosphere on point!!! Especially the mala fries!!! Second time here. The owners treated us like part of the family. There is a charge for wasting food with the all you can eat menu, understandably. Why order food you’re going to waste??? I did witness some people surprised by the charge. They left a bunch of food at the table. It Could not be easier to see that there is a charge for wasting food. It’s in writing they also inform you of this before you order. Please pay attention.

Was good. The clear broth was pretty bland, but the tom yum was tasty. It was a bit expensive though for hot pot. If I still lived near by, I would go back, but not worth driving to.

We felt humiliated. Extremely disappointing experience. We came to Thai Hot Pot Heaven hoping to enjoy a nice dinner and try something new. Instead, we were treated with disrespect from the moment we arrived. We politely asked if we could sit at a table (which was still dirty from previous guests), and the waiter looked at us and said with a smirk, “Well, I guess this is good enough for you,” and laughed. It was incredibly rude and humiliating. We still don’t understand — was it because we were tourists? Or because we’re from a different background? Either way, it felt like we were not welcome and were being mocked. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable for any establishment that works with people. Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 1/5 Respect: 0

After searching for Thai restaurants in Portland, we came across this great spot! They offer Thai hot pot! Too bad, we weren’t in the mood for hot pot so we ordered other dishes instead. Beef Drunken noodle, papaya salad, pork satay, chicken with tamarind sauce and braised beef soup. Everything came out delicious . The owners and staff were very nice and attentive. Definitely recommend for Thai food fans.

Google
Best hot pot in Portland. I’ve been here about 5 times in the last few months and every time has been awesome. The portions are generous. I always order everything I want and it averages out to about $35 a person, which is more than fair. The ingredients are very high quality, and their sauces are house made. They also have an entire menu of Thai and other SE Asian dishes. Make sure you get the giant river prawns, they are gigantic. Also they are open late, so it’s a great to get a late night meal. You always get a split pot so make sure you pick 2 broths.

Yelp
An excellent Thai hot pot experience. Come early because it gets busy quick! The space is small but we were lucky enough to grab a table for an early dinner. There's an assortment of veggies, apps, salads, and noodles to choose from as well as meats. The service was impeccable and they made sure we're were well taken care of. No waiting around for more food to come while the clock ticks (you're on a time limit). They came out with the food quick and got us more broth when needed. A delicious experience!

Yelp
An affordable AYCE with amazing flavors and options! We got their Tom Yum and Jim Jum Broth. Both were very flavorful alone! We got to do three rounds and it filled us up. The sauce bar had many choices for you to choose from. We came during dinner and near closing, so their other sauce bar items weren't available to us. The menu is super simple- it will tell you how much you can order at a time. The staff is amazing! Super friendly and fun to interact with.

Yelp
Good and friendly services! We asked for extra broth and they didn't charge us so that was a plus. Our food quality overall was alright nothing stood out for me. There were no desserts available so it was a bit disappointing. We walked down the street to find dessert after dinner. Average space with typical Thai's decor.

Yelp
Try this new hot pot location and was very impressed overall. The inside seating is moderate and it wasn't busy when we went. We got the prime all you can eat and did the mala and house clear broth. The mala was amazing and when they refilled our broth, even added more spices to recharge the flavor! We got all the prime cuts and it was very tender and delicious with the broth. The sauce bar is also very customizable and they have all the utensils and bowls out so you can grab it instead of waiting. That decor and music really puts you in the mood. The only thing I would say is there was only a few workers so getting refills and flagging down for orders took a while so we had to wait quite a bit after our first wave to order and get our second wave. Also, the giant prawns are amazing. The chive pancake is super good; really crispy and nice flavor. Be careful those are dangerous!

Yelp
We came here on a Friday for lunch around noon in December and we had the place all to ourselves! More people came later as we were leaving and the place really filled out. The server was so patient with us and explained how everything worked and we decided to go with the AYCE option since it made the most sense for bang for your buck. You mark down what you want for each round and I would totally recommend the AYCE option if you have a healthy appetite or going with a group of 2 or more. What I appreciated most was that the clear labeling of everything for food allergies, especially great for glute-free friend I was dining with! I loved that the sauce bar had special Thai condiments in addition to some of the hot pot sauce based I'm used to. The egg roll and pot stickers were golden and crispy - my toddler's favorite. We loved the sticky rice pouch, that was so fun to eat from. Meat options and veggies sides are pretty common for hot pot but I was especially excited about the Tom yum broth, which had the perfect balance of tangy and savory. We left with our bellies full and while it's on the pricier side for hot pot (a La carte or AYCE option) I would entourage you to come check out this homey and cozy place for yourself!

Yelp
A perfect christmas dinner in rainy Portland. We didn't have a reservation but they were so good about helping us right away. The hot pot flavors were punchy and not lacking. I loved the tom yum broth (spicy) with the brisket. Everything soaked in the broth flavor so well. The staff was very nice and helpful when our fire went out. We even got homemade banana bread muffins. A perfect end to the meal. I'm not sure if it was just a special treat for christmas but I hope to see the muffins again.

Yelp
Great new place. Never had thai hot pot before but very familiar and nice broths, agree with other reviews on not too greasy. Service was very kind and attentive. Wanted to try the pork satay but they were out. Chicken satay was just right It's a new and growing place that I look forward to watching its growth.

Yelp
Good food, good service, individual pot. A lot of option, free papaya salad. Open to midnight. All you can eat optional. 5 stars. Will come back soon.

Yelp
Great food and service. The person who helped us was so kind and friendly and made the experience so fun. Easy to find parking. Such a sweet local spot.

Yelp
Truly a foodie joint! Delicious food all around and an "old school" experience with the tabletop warmer. I personally liked how you can custom make your own dipping sauce. A classic hot pot experience in a cozy space.

Yelp
Love this small local hot pot spot! Located on 23rd, Thai Hot Pot Heaven offers both traditional Thai dishes as well as hot pot. The inside of the restaurant is homey and cozy. I've been here a couple times now, but mostly just for their hotpot. The owner is such a down-to-earth guy and super friendly. The food is good, and the hot pot is so comforting. A go-to spot and I highly recommend!

Yelp
Swung by with a friend on a weekday and got a seat pretty quickly even though there was bit of a crowd! Some groups of two definitely need a 4 seater if you get hot pot esp because of the space needed. The interior is quaint but does have a good amount of space. You order from your table then there's a sauce bar where you can make up your little dipping sauces for your hot pot! We went with the thai fries with tom yum seasoning and decided to go the hot pot route as well -- kept it vegetarian for my leaf eating self with the mushroom broth. They have a huge variety of items including a plethora of vegetables, tofu, noodles, etc. There's a good variety of meat and seafood if you're an omnivore too! The veggie broth was good and our sauces from the sauce bar helped increase the flavor just a bit more. I will say the fries were super addictive with tangy savory seasoning and the hot pot itself was the perfect thing for a rainy day. Service was very friendly and accommodating and prices are fair for what you get. Parking in this area can be dicey so plan ahead esp at rush hour or busy times!

Yelp
This place just opened up in the old Beau Thai location off NW 21st. I am super excited to see a new hot pot location in the NW. Currently, the offering is limited during their soft opening til Mar 29, but during this soft opening, they have an offer out for 10% off on the full meal or a free mango rice dessert. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and excited to provide good authentic Thai food. While I was there, they were staging pictures of their future offerings such as their hot pot, and it looks like they will be offering a lot of topping options. I ordered the Thai Stewed beef noodle soup and can attest that we are in for a treat, as the soup was very flavorful and the beef was perfectly tender. I am excited to come back after Mar 29th to try their hot pot.

First timers and I randomly selected This place and it was the best thing I did!! Highly recommended !

Yelp
Very Authentic THAI hotpot & thai food. It was a really slow night in general, no one was really out and we happened to see this restaurant. I love hot pot but most of the hot pot here is Chinese bases which again i love but I grew up eating more thai style. My grandpa is Lao and the food is pretty much the same to very similar. When going here it felt so nostalgic while eating the food! Everything tasted right and eating the fresh vegetables with the boiled meat and dipping it in a light sauce just brought me back to being a little girl again. I highly recommend is you are looking for a lighter hotpot with fresh ingredients. If you are used to the rich oily chinese style hotpot you might not enjoy this since it's basically the opposite of that. Outside of the hotpot that food it extremely good and authentic as well. I didn't get to try the papaya salad BUT the owner shared the sauce she uses to make with it and it was the sauce I'm use to seeing. So this place is legit! They're sticky rice was also perfect and the seasoning of the meat were great! I'm happy this place exists, I can now go back to my childhood every so often because of it.

Yelp
The hot pot dinner was delicious and nutritiou. we had the Thai Tom Yum and the Japanese Shoyu broth and both were deliciou. We ordered the vegetable combo with extra mushrooms and it was amazing. we also had the meet slices and the quality was outstanding. The service was wonder and the waiter helped us out with choosing the right portion. the ambiance was amazing. The mango sticky rice was delicious. I recommend this restauran.

Yelp
Hell yes. But...this is definitely Heaven. The hot pot is delicious, but the owners are so, so sweet. They were incredibly engaging and gracious - a husband and wife and fam churning out non-stop deliciousness. Please come in NOW before they blow up. They came from Colorado and opened about 4 months ago. I truly wish them and their family the ultimate success. You can just tell this is what they're made to do. They had the largest prawns I've ever seen, but the meat was incredible. The broths were divine - shout out to the mala and shoyu broths, but all were phenomenal. They're waiting on their OLCC license, so imbibe nearby for now. The mango sticky rice might be the best I've ever had, and the sauces were fabulous. Don't skip the seafood sauce. Cheers!

Yelp
We were looking to try something new and ended up finding Thai Hot Pot Heaven...it was a great choice! Everything from the food to the service was great! My DIL and I had the pork fried rice (flavorful on its own...no need for soy sauce) and a hot pot with two different broths, marinated steak.and chicken, pork belly, and steak. The sauce bar was especially fun and added to the experience. The sauces enhanced the flavor of everything we had, and there was enough food to leave us satisfied and happy. Service was friendly and efficient. Next time we're in Portland, we'll be coming back here!!

Yelp
The food was everything you'd expect when eating hot pot. The flavor, variety, and top tier meats, everything was amazing. Servers were very attentive and so kind. Thanks for treating us so well!

Yelp
Every ingredient soaked up the flavor perfectly. Couldn't stop going back for more! Service was fast and tina so kind and friendly. It is cozy pot, a table full of friends, and the spice of Thai hospitality

Sunny B.

Yelp
Food was good, service was friendly, what we didn't like was our family of 5 had a tip of $30+ added without being notified in advance and approval being given. Seems underhanded .
google avatar

Nemo P.

Yelp
Very bad customer service. Made reservation for 3 people. They said we can only sit at the 2 seat table. Would, not recommend coming here
google avatar

Yelp
If you love hot pot and Thai food, then this is the place for you! It's a different experience than the Chinese hot pot. Their quality of seafood is something I don't see in other places.

Yelp
Super friendly place. This was my first time here or even ever having hot pot. The server was great and answered all questions. The food was perfect and came to the table timely. We will be back again!

Nhi N.

Yelp
First time trying Thai hotpot and I'm officially obsessed. The broth was next-level -- we got the tom yum and it had that perfect spicy-sour kick that makes your nose run in the best way. Super flavorful without being too salty, which I really appreciate. They bring everything out super fresh -- thin slices of beef, shrimp, mushrooms, bok choy, noodles, you name it -- and you cook it right at the table. It's basically a delicious science experiment and I'm here for it. Service was fast and friendly, and the vibe was chill but lively. Great spot for a group hang or a date night if you don't mind sweating a little from the spice. Highly recommend if you want something a little different, super tasty, and actually fun to eat.

Yelp
I was super excited to come to Portland and try another restaurant that I had seen on social media. This was last night, which was Sunday on December 22nd around 6:15 PM. I love hot pot and this is the first of its kind that I ever heard of having Thai hot pot. I'm from Vegas and we have a lot of restaurants especially Japanese or Korean hot pots but not Thai. I'm of Thai descent as well so this really piqued my interest. The disappointment came with the service and to me the food was not worth the price. We saw one girl working there who is taking the order seating people, bringing out the food, etc. and other people that were supposedly working there, but did not do much of anything. Unfortunately, I did not want to order a hot pot for myself and my partner because I could see service was lacking because it took her 10 minutes to come take our order. We got our appetizers and they were fine but six pieces of small fried chive cake for $9.95 was quite disappointing. We didn't order much between the four of us, but it seems like a complicated order for the restaurant: two chicken pad Thai with two peanut sauce, one tofu Pad Kea Pao, and a beef rib stew with noodles. I know with a lot of Asian restaurants things come out as they are prepared, but you would hope that all the food would come out for your table before things came out for other people's tables, it did not. Three of us had food and she came back and asked did we get everything that we ordered which was quite obvious that it was not so she had to go back and ask for another chicken pad Thai. After she finally dropped off the last dish she did not come back at all. Apparently you have to get your own silverware napkins, etc. at the shop as well, but if you're gonna do that, put up a sign that tells you to serve yourself. The restaurant got busier and she was basically running around and forgot all about us. We had told her that we were going to order something to take out as well, but she said to tell her later because she would forget which is fine but once again she never came back to the table, so we had to go up to the register and order What I did notice about the food was that the pad Thai looked really bland and the peanut sauce that my friend ordered on the side was not good. The oil was separating from the peanut sauce. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever be back here to try the hot pot AYCE, because the service was very lackluster and for that price I don't think it's worth $50 especially with the server never coming back to check on you.

Yelp
My college student daughter and I had a terrific hot pot meal at this new and charming restaurant. We were on the prowl for hot pot and this place did not disappoint! We ordered the Jim Jim and Tom Yum broths for two with ribeye beef, egg noodles and the generous veggie platter. They have a wonderful make-your-own-sauce station. My daughter didn't wast any time making her special sauce: sesame paste, chili oil, ponzu sauce, sor sauce, and scallions. The births were especially delicious and after cooking the meat, veggies and noodles, slurped down the rest of the soup. As a final flourish, we got the taro Bally which my daughter enjoyed. Service was friendly and solicitous - thus is truly a family affair and the passion of fulfilling a lifelong dream shows. As we left, a number of new neighborhood regulars started streaming in. Come try this little gem of a place! I suspect it will become very busy soon.

Yelp
Delicious, authentic food with a spice that hits you behind your eyes (in the best way possible). My food was super flavorful and hot! My only comment is my husband said his noodles had no spice, but he enjoyed them. Staff/owner was super kind and inviting. We're only visiting, but I'd certainly go back on my next trip to Portland.

Yelp
Flavors, plating, and portions were great. Server and kitchen staff were helpful and welcoming. Really appreciate their hours, a well marked menu (for food sensitivity), the wide selection on their menu.
google avatar

Gabriella N.

Yelp
A little spendy but the food was excellent! I had the pumpkin curry and my date had the fried rice

Yelp
Stopped by this new Thai restaurant to get a bowl of noodle soup as their photos on IG looked bomb. It's a cute little place run by a husband wife duo. The Tom Yum noodle soup didn't taste like Tom Yum Gong and not quite like anything I had before. It had a complex taste profile, slightly sweet and tangy. The egg noodles were chewy. I got some sauces from the hot pot sauce bar to try with the noodle soup. Really liked the chili oil and seafood sauce which I believe are both homemade. Will definitely return to try other dishes. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Christopher O.

Yelp
We got there an hour before closing and we were told immediately that we couldn't have all you can eat. Explained , it was our first time and we didn't know how it worked and there were no directions or instructions and little assistance From our server. We did not know that there were dips to try until another patron told us. We did not realize that the butane had gone out.So we sat for quite a long time wondering why it wasn't boiling .We asked how long we should keep the meat in and the server didn't know shrugging shoulders. The atmosphere is dingy. The table was sticky. Should have left but it was late at night when we arrived to town and we were just hungry and I would always wanted to try a hot pot. So disappointed.

Yelp
This place is so cute, the staff is so so nice and you can really feel their passion! The food was really good, I'm super excited for the hotpot items coming soon~ I saw the one they put together as a tester and it looked amazing The beef in the pho was so tender, and the condiments they had were really good too! I especially liked the sour chili sauce I'm not sure what it's called The beef balls were grilled and had a really nice aroma, and the sauce was so nice! Unique to anything I've had before and paired perfectly with the smokey meat I really want to go back for the giant prawn dish, I can see myself working my way through the whole menu because if it's as good as the things I got this time I will not be disappointed. Really happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Gail Elaine S.

Yelp
Great food and service. Everyone was very nice and we even met the owner. Will only go here for hot pot forever. Best place!

Ani J.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant with really helpful staff. Enjoyed the all you can eat hot pot and some appetizers. On weekdays from 11 to 5 only $30!

Yelp
So happy to have a hot pot place near Nob Hill! We really enjoyed our experience here. The owners are wonderful- they moved from Thailand and definitely know what they are doing. The hot pot was fun and customizable- I liked the half and half of two different broths. I also really enjoyed the sauce bar. Not the fanciest ambiance but good service and clean and delicious food. Looking forward to visiting again and trying more of the dishes!

Upasak S.

Yelp
We had veg and jain food, and it was amazing. Thai broth without onion & garlic is a must have for its tangy & spicy taste. Service from the owner in answering all questions is extremely helpful. For hotpot lovers visiting Portland, this restaurant run by husband & wife is a must visit place.

Brandon Y.

Yelp
Food looks nice just not served together very timely. Friends had their food cooked whole before my food was served. Also they decided the placement of the burners was not okay so they moved the burner I was using to the other side of the table. The part that was most off putting was the dripping pipes, my friend was dripped on during the meal! Overall not a very tidy, and outdated decor really brings down the vibe.

Kyle H.

Yelp
So good! I really loved all the food and the service was great. It was so wonderful. The hot pot is a great deal and the meat is great quality.

Megan M.

Yelp
Super friendly and quick service, no wait, and really good food! You can get both Thai food and all you can eat hot pot here for a good price.

Nick H.

Yelp
Such great food and service! I really loved the atmosphere! The meat was perfectly cut and good!

Yelp
This place is so amazing, from the service to the sauce bar to the hot pot and everything in between!!!!

Yelp
10/10 recommend! My friend and I were looking for a place in Portland to get hot pot and were SO happy with our experience here. The restaurant is relatively small place but very cute and cozy inside. We were greeted by one of the owners as soon as we walked in and he walked us through the hot pot experience with recommendations and tips. The restaurant is owned by a couple who opened up a few months ago and you can tell they've put a lot of love into this place. Our experience inspired me to write my first yelp review because I absolutely adore this place!!

Sable B.

Yelp
Mango sticky rice is INSANELY GOOD! The rice has a lovely texture, fun green color, and a fantastic sweet taste. Mangos were perfectly ripe, even in winter! Probably the best mango sticky rice I've had in Portland. Braised beef soup was great, if you like spicy food get it hot! The medium was a bit mild to me but a perfect spiciness level for those who want only a little kick. The white rice that comes with the soup is nice and fluffy. Got the food to go. Packaged well and in a way that keeps everything in prime condition until you're ready to mix it all together. Excellent to-go service!!! Will have to dine in for hot pot soon.

James L.

Yelp
The service and food was impeccable and how timely everything came out. I enjoyed all of the topping in the pot and the broth was very flavorful.

Yelp
If i lived in Portland I would go 3 times a week. I live 50 miles and go once a week. Best thai food actually in town, such a great family business. Love it!

Yelp
Excellent hot pot, good sauces, not busy, and a chill environment. A group did come in that was being superrrr loud and maybe they were a little drunk but the waiter asked them to be quiet which was nice for the sake of the other people in the restaurant.

Yelp
The service, atmosphere, and dining set up just made me feel right at home. The food was excellent and the broth is just so flavorful. This place is cozy and yummy! Definitely give this place a shot.
