A Westlake-area trailer turning out lively papaya salad, panang, and pad krapow with friendly, owner-led service. A favorite among neighborhood regulars and noted on local guides, it offers a mellow patio stop away from downtown’s bustle.

Google
Its a food truck type of venue, but I thought it was good. Easu access to food truck and back onto main road. I went at the middle of lunch hour and I still had a chance to sit and eat, comfortably. I'd go there again.

Nicole Perry

Google
UPDATE: They now serve fresh spring rolls w/ peanut sauce!! Lucky to have such fabulous thai food so close by. I usually just walk up and order but I'm pretty sure you can get it delivered via Uber Eats or something. They make it fast and they're open until 8PM. I've become a huge fan....the pad see ewe, tom ka soup, drunken noodle and pad thai all with shrimp or chicken are so delicious!!

Bernie South

Google
Great little food truck lunch stop. I had the yellow curry with the chicken.protein option. My wife had the Pad Thai. Both were excellent.

Ksenia A. Brief

Google
Ordered takeout of 3 dishes. The pad see ew was a bit dry, but otherwise everything was fantastic - flavors, ingredients, kind service. The Red curry with chicken was amazing. New fave Thai in Austin!

Google
Absolutely delicious, I love food trucks and they are amazing! If you are in the west side definitely don’t hesitate to try it out!

Google
If you're reading this right now and your stuck in traffic on 360 why are you not driving to get some pad Thai and just wait it out

Chonk The Snake

Google
Chonk LOVE Thai K. Favorite Thai for Chonk. Rice balls, pad cashew, pad see ewe, pad kee mao, curry...yum. Chonk favorite is Thai iced tea and Thai iced green tea.

Google
Great grab-n-go spot for healthy, filling and delicious food. Note, some dishes are spicy despite not indicating heat on the menu, but if you like spicy you’re in a good place.

Yelp
Friendly food truck! Parking available near the food truck. This is a small lot only one other food truck here. I dined at their picnic table but I noticed a lot of people picking up to go orders. Fast and efficient, good flavor. The rice balls were a little underwhelming with flavor but the crispy golden crunch was good! Classic pad Thai and the krapow had a nice kick with fresh Thai basil flavor. The owner was very kind.

Yelp
I ordered the basil chicken fried rice at the hottest level possible. It was beautiful and delicious. I cried.

Yelp
The food was DELICIOUS! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and mango sticky rice. The portions were generous. Service was friendly. I also loved the outdoor seating it's very cute

Yelp
We were in Austin for the eclipse and scouting options for dinner. Thai Kruefha was recommended to us and so we called in an order for pick up. We ordered the Pad See Ewe, the Pad Thai, the Garlic Chicken, the Yellow Curry, and the Egg Rolls. We drove over to pick up our order and were pleasantly surprised by the purple trailer! The person behind the counter was very friendly and had our order all packaged to go. There are some tables outside in front of the trailer if you are not taking your order to go. The pad see ewe was a delicately spiced combination of stir fried flat rice noodles with egg, broccoli, and carrots. We really enjoyed this pad see ewe with vegetables that still had a nice crispiness. The pad Thai was a traditional stir fried rice noodle dish with egg, cabbage, and green onion. We had the ground peanuts on the side. So good! The garlic chicken was stir fried with garlic and black pepper. A nice garlicky goodness to this dish. The yellow curry included yellow curry paste in a coconut milk sauce with potato, carrot, and onion which tasted great over white rice. Yum! The egg rolls were a great compliment with a nice crispiness. We really loved our one and likely only visit to Thai Kruefha as we are headed out of town tomorrow morning. We are happy that someone recommended this wonderful dinner option to us.

Yelp
Got this food delivered and it wasn't bad! Tried the Tom Kha Soup - it was pretty good. Lots of flavor, my mouth was tingly after. Also tried the rice balls. Those were really good - very flavorful and crispy. Tastes really good with the dipping sauce.

Yelp
We wanted to get some takeout food to bring along to a picnic and thought thai food sounded good. We ordered the following: - pad thai with chicken: pretty good and flavorful, with a generous amount of peanuts, served with a lime. Better than average for sure. - pineapple fried rice with pork: I have tried this dish at many, many thai restaurants. While I think this one was good, the rice was a bit mushier than I typically would prefer. The flavors were all there, though. - Crispy rice balls: 7 for $5 is a great deal for a good appetizer. This was a delicious, crispy rice snack with some sauce that pairs well with it. Try them out! Overall, if in the area and looking for some thai food to take out, give it a try!

Yelp
Food is AMAZING. I've been looking for a go-to spot for Thai in Austin and I think I've just found it. Ordered chicken yellow curry and Thai tea and both are excellent. Service was quick and friendly :) can't wait to come back and try more things!

Yelp
This little food trailer serves some of the very best Pad Thai and Thai food in Austin! I eat there at least once a week and have yet to be disappointed. She could really use the business and is well worth going out of your way to stop by. The service is friendly, fast and delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic! How lucky are you, Lost Creek, to have this jewel sitting in your neighborhood. Prices are great, portions perfect and omg so tasty. The Pad Thai with chicken is delicious. She uses red and purple cabbage and the flavors are spot on. I missed bean sprouts but definitely see the challenges in a food truck. Next time I'll try a curry. Cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Had no idea about this hidden gem until yesterday upon searching "Thai near me." Thai Kruefha is a food truck hidden off of Lost Creek Blvd. Great outdoor seating options, but we were finishing last minute Christmas wrapping at home, and opted for take out. It was delicious!!! We ordered Panang Curry and Pad Thai. Both were packaged extremely well, no way for it to make a mess, even if it did spill driving home, as there was a safe guard around the container. You can tell the level of care taken. This hit the spot and I am so glad to have a great Thai place near me! We will be back!!

Yelp
Awesome Thai in the food desert that is Westlake! Wow, just wow. So after having some of the best Thai of my life in Houston (I see you, Thai Gourmet), we're not the easiest to excite. However, this place is amazing! The crispy rice balls are complex, flavored with a delicious red curry and atypically flavorful sweet sauce- and the order contains 8. The Pad Kee Mao stole the show- somewhat spicy with jalapeno, but brightened with the perfect amount of basil, and delicious small cubes of tofu. The pineapple fried rice was also great. Tasty balance of pineapple chunks with cashew, and savory pork to round it out. Pad Thai was the request of our little ones, who gobbled it up, but for the bite we tried (also delicious). Amazing Thai, with a good selection of popular options that are well executed and among the best I've tried. Not to mention, the food was ready quickly and very reasonably priced- and in a totally underserved area, couldn't be better. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Great Thai food truck! Big portion entree and soup (with rice too) and it's tasty! Pad Thai include cabbage in it which is a great fit and very impressive

Yelp
5/5 this place is legit!!! Hidden gem located in a very random small lot- food truck only. Lots of tables and umbrellas outside. Run by a nice lady, everything comes piping hot. We didn't have to wait very long at all. The flavors were so on point for the Pad Kee Mao. Note if it is a spicy thai dish by default it will be spicy bc that's real thai food! You could tell no one back there is following a recipe and measuring each spice bc they don't need to! they know what they are doing back there! Husbands pineapple fried rice was also very good- he loved it! I will be back to try everything on the menu!

Yelp
Just started working in the area, this truck is right across the street so I had to check it out. Friendly, good prices and portion size, FAST, and some of the best Thai food I've ever had. It was totally empty when I got there at noon. Definitely support this truck they deserve it!
google avatar

Warren N.

Yelp
Wow what a discovery! It hit the spot as well. I hadn't had a pad thai in months (since relocating from LA!) and this spot exceeded my expectations. Totally homemade and on point. It was prepared with great care & heart. I will be back for sure. This location is pretty amazing as well. An empty lot that's set up as an outdoor music venue / art space w bomb looking food trailers and picnic benches. Austin is pretty badass. I hope someone is wise enough to preserve spaces like this.

Leena M.

Yelp
I was very skeptical about getting Thai food from a food truck, but I was absolutely blown away! It was so much better than most of the Thai restaurants I've been to! Red curry was great and so was the pad thai - wish I got it a bit more spicer. Such a great find!
google avatar

Wayne N.

Yelp
Got it on grubhub and it was great! My friend said he liked this thai place best among the different thai restaurants in the city and I concur that it's pretty good. Hot fresh pad see ew is always appreciated and I like the fact that they use the wide rice noodles that some of the other places for some reason don't. Good char on the stir fry, well seasoned. Could use a tad bit more sweetness compared to other pad see ews that I've had but it's good either way. It's in a large food truck park but it's definitely one of the standouts, so come support your local business in the midst of the pandemic!

Yelp
I ordered from them through UberEats. I've never been to the trailer. I would recommend ordering and picking up. It could get costly with additional cost. I paid $20 for two orders of chicken satay (4pcs) and a Thai green tea. The chicken was seasoned well. Just a few things I wish. I wish the sticks were longer or that they add a little more to the order. 5 or 6 pieces to compensate for the short stick. I've had various chicken satay that comes in various sizes. I was sad about the length. I included a picture. The chicken was slightly dry. I was looking for a juicy piece of chicken. The combination of the cooking and seasoning made it soak up all the juices. Felt like eating beef jerky. Still tasty though. The peanut sauce that accompanied the chicken was bomb! Wouldn't shock me if they made that in house. It was delicious. It had a peanut butter flavor to it. However, adding that to a dry chicken made it tougher to eat. The side of pickled cucumber was delicious however I would have preferred a little more sweetness. The vinegar overpowers the cucumber and gives you a straight kick to the face. The Thai green tea was my overall favorite. I've had other places use regular tea and milk but they use green tea and man was it deelish! My favorite thing from this order. Overall, I would try them again but I'd like to try something different.

Yelp
Good food, good prices, large portions. The thing that made me happiest was no skimping on the crushed peanuts for my pad Thai. Seriously, they gave me about a cup of peanuts on the side! Hell yeah!

Yelp
Killing time while getting my car washed at the Nice N Clean next door, I was scavenging for a warm meal as it was freezing cold outside. I loveee Thai food so I was very excited to come across a Thai food truck! It was located in an isolated square where some organization was hosting a Jamaican festival of sorts. Yes, that is very cool but ya girl was FREEZING and HUNGRY and being stopped at the entrance about donations from was not ideal when ya girl doesn't carry cash and has a very guilty conscience. ): Weird event for a Thai food truck to be at but hey, I'm not complaining! When all hope was lost, I found Thai Kruefha, got my Pad Thai fix, and my belly warmed. The Pad Thai was flavorful and exquisite. I will be back the next time I get my car washed. Yummm
google avatar

Rob P.

Yelp
Was craving pad thai tonight and decided to finally give Thai Kruefha a try. Pre-ordered on Postmates and was happy to see the pricing was the same as at the food truck. Scooted over and the food wasn't ready on time, but it was just a few minutes late. I was so hungry I decided to eat it there, and I ate the whole thing. To be honest, it was just OK. I really wanted to like this truck, but I felt that the pad thai was underwhelming. Something in the flavor was off. The portion wasn't huge either as I rarely finish my whole order, but then again it was only $9 so I guess it's cheaper than some other places that give more? Definitely not bad at all, but I think I'll stick with the thai food truck that's closer to my house even if it is a few bucks more.

Yelp
Updated review: This little trailer continues to rock my world. I tend to seek out workers' places and joints as for a long time in my past business career I HAD to eat at fine restaurants throughout the world. Night after night, day after day while I would enviously looked at simple food and places we passed. This little place is simple, serves simply, is filling and quite good in my humble opinion. The charming lady who works the trailer is from Khon Kaen City in Thailand. For those not familiar with the country, this is not along the tourist resort coastlines, but in northeast Thailand. The food is quite different in that location and there is a cross-over in some cases with Laos and former French influence. So far I have had several dishes: My most recent are: Green Curry with TOFU. $8.00 and comes with an eggroll. This is a simple dish that tastes nice and also actually tastes quite complex. I ordered it exactly as on the menu and it was a bit spicy but not overwhelming. KAHO MOO DAENG: Lunch Special: Roasted red pork with sweet sauce served with white rice. Really good for a working lunch. I added some of my special emergency hot sauce to try it as is and then with the sweet/hot combination. Perfect for a lunch. Chicken LARB. This is a ground meat (in this case chicken) with red onions, green onions with rice and Thai chili. $8.00 I ordered it Thai Spicy as that is my preference and so far my very favorite dish. Thai Spicy is HOT! The serving I had was no exception, it was HOT! What is perfect about this little corner is that there is a great taco, tortas and Q place just a few steps away. Thus you can have two different tastes or one person have one thing and the second another thing. I am confident that she could cook anything from that region. She does know her food. I even asked what was the difference between LARB (on the little menu) and LAAB, (this is kind of a trick question that many Thai places where I have eaten did not know as they were not old school) and she answered immediately and correctly! Wow! I was impressed. Well done.

Yelp
Great spring rolls. Great pat Thai. Great service. Kruefha is the name of the owner. And she takes care of all customers herself. Very fortunate to have Kruefha in Lost Creek.
google avatar

Caitlin K.

Yelp
This place is some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The lady running the truck yesterday was incredibly nice and very patient while I looked at the menu for 10 minutes. My friend got Tom kha soup, which I've never liked, but I tried some of hers and it was delicious!
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
I was hungry and missing Thai food. Not just Thai food but the real Thai basil and spiciness of pad krapow of Thailand. I haven't found a krapow that isn't Americanized in 7 years, since living in Chiang Mai. But I have found it! It is here at Thai Kruefha. I asked for it to be "Thailand spicy," and they delivered. I also found out that the Thai basil that provides the depth of flavor in this dish was grown in the chef's backyard. That explains it. Just perfect. Arroi mak mak!
google avatar

Karan P.

Yelp
Loved the red curry! Fresh jasmine rice, not too sticky. Decent Tom Yum Soup! Friendly service even at closing time.
google avatar

Jon C.

Yelp
I've had their Pad Thai with chicken twice now, and each time it has been delivered hot and was completely delicious. It comes with plenty of crushed peanuts and a lime wedge to squeeze over your meal.
google avatar

Todd S.

Yelp
Terrific, hearty chicken curry! We enjoy having great Thai food right in the neighborhood!

Meredith S.

Yelp
I hover somewhere between meat sweats and annoying vegan and didn't know where on the spectrum I was going to fall during lunch yesterday, so I decided to just get in my car and see what I found. I headed to the east side and found myself near a food trailer park with ample free street parking. Probably eight of the ten trailers were randomly closed during lunch hour, but not my sweet, sweet Thai trailer. I ordered the veggie egg rolls and pad Thai with tofu, no spicy. In a pro move, the nice old lady working followed up my tofu request by asking if I wanted egg. Did I want egg? No! Thanks for asking. As soon as I ordered the egg rolls, she turned around and bare-handedly grabbed 3 and threw them into the fryer. They were alright--neither great, nor terrible. The pad Thai, however, was boooooomb.com. Perfectly sweet, perfectly not spicy, but maybe just the tiniest tinge of heat. Cabbage instead of sprouts was dope, too. Muy delicioso! How is it possible I just stumbled upon such delectable pad Thai all willy nilly on a Tuesday? The heavens have smiled down and I will be backkkkkkkkkkk!
google avatar

Kacie B.

Yelp
Went here for the first time yesterday and this place is already going into my rotation! I ordered the green curry with tofu, mango sticky rice, and a Thai green tea to-go. The curry has an amazing, deep, sweet-tangy flavor. It has a little kick so if spiciness isn't your thing (gasp), make sure you let them know. The mango sticky rice was great, highly suggest tacking that on to complete your meal. Probably should have got the regular Thai Iced Tea instead of the Thai Green Tea (was a little too sweet). Pretty generous quantities are served up, as I had plenty left over for another meal. Give it a try!

Mikko X.

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood and have been visiting Thai Kruefha since she opened in Lost Creek 2020. I'm loyal to the friendly service and the owner always remembers my order and name when I call. She is very accommodating to modifications. The food is always fresh and piping hot! The flavor and portions are perfect and never overdone. There are table benches that have umbrellas during the summer. Peaceful quiet area.
google avatar

Shelby G.

Yelp
I LOVE Thai food and fortunately live in a city where good Thai isn't hard to find. That being said, maybe Thai Kruefha was having an off night or the quality of the food was higher a few years ago. I had the pork egg rolls and chicken pad Thai. Pork egg rolls were crispy and delicious, but the pad Thai was completely flavorless. I'm used to pad Thai noodles having that peanut-y taste but these noodles just tasted like cooking oil. Too bad. It's decently priced and service is quick, but I'd happily wait longer and pay a bit extra for better food.
google avatar

Kate B.

Yelp
Got the pad see ew and the green curry-mild (unfortunately it was not mild enough for my husband who was sweating). Pretty authentic overall, the noodles more so than the curry. My only issue was the green curry was not a natural green...please don't put food coloring in your food.

Chase T.

Yelp
Good $12 lunches, side however is just a ton of rice. Friendly and conveniently located.
google avatar

Alysse H.

Yelp
NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE. I ordered the Pad Cashew thru UberEats. It took 15 minutes longer than was anticipated on the website for the food to be ready and get to me. They were delivering to me on 6th street so I'm only about 5 minutes away from them. I got my food, and they forgot to add the rice that is supposed to come with this entree. I called the truck to tell them I didn't get any rice and the lady told me they would send me some. After 30 minutes of me calling, I called again because it still hadn't arrived, and she told me she already sent a guy to bring it to me. It's been 50 minutes now and I still don't have it. My food is cold. Horrible experience. Very horrible. I won't be eating here again.
google avatar

Mendy Y.

Yelp
This is the REAL deal. If you're going to choose "spicy," heed my warning: they're not kidding. I had the spicy drunken noodles, which literally put my entire body in pain (I could feel my face pulsing from how hot it was) but were SO good. This is definitely some of the best Thai I've had (and I've been to Thailand). Besides the noodles I also had the tom yum soup-thought it tasted more sour than the ones I've had before but the flavoring definitely worked. Plus, who can say no to the ridiculously low prices? Definitely a quality takeout option for Thai if you're in the mood for something really authentic.

Jonathan T.

Yelp
As other users have commented, they're not greedy with the peanuts. I think this is the best pad Thai I've had so far in Austin. I wish it weren't so far from home, but I'm glad it's only another 10 minutes from work. 10/10 can't wait to go back
google avatar

S F.

Yelp
This was very good... I especially loved the pineapple fried rice and crispy rice balls (not sure if I said that right). Will go again.
google avatar

Naomi M.

Yelp
The green curry here is phenomenal! I grew up in a thai household and have been looking everywhere for a green curry that matches the one from my memory and this cannot get any closer! I've tried the curry from multiple Thai spots in Austin and have always found something off or missing but this one is spot on. They also give you a huge portion of the curry so I always end up with 2 meals and it (arguably) tastes even better re-heated. I have tried other noodle dishes here that aren't as notable, so I can't say i'd recommend this for anything other than the curry but it's definitely worth going out of the way for if you're craving thai curry! (make sure you get it spicy!!)

Sonia M.

Yelp
Ordered vegetarian Tom Yum, Chicken Penang Curry & Vegetable Tofu cashew stir fry w Jasmine Rice . Vegetarian food was truly vegetarian without any fish sauce, chicken brot, etc. Everything was fresh, the right amount of seasoning, chilli, and very flavorful food without being too heavy. Also, great service. I would highly recommend you try it!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
By far my favorite Thai spot in Austin! Super good and super authentic. The lady than runs the truck is an exceptional cook and always joke that I want to be a part of Sunday dinner at their house one day. Food is that good. Pretty much tried everything on the menu. I like super spicy and she can accommodate that request! Go check it out! Chris
google avatar

Rodney P.

Yelp
I drove from South Austin to Westlake Hills to eat this wonderful food it is so delicious highly recommended
google avatar

G M.

Yelp
I had great food here. I got pad ki mao and green curry. The curry portion was just as large as any other spot. My noodle portion was a bit smaller than other places but not too small. The best thing was the service. I'd had an issue with an online order that went through even though they weren't at the truck. I had to cancel it through Yelp and was very disappointed. When the owners find out they rectified the situation and made the food for us later anyway. They were very gracious through it too. Turned around a bad situation and the food was on point!
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
I eat here for lunch once a week. I've always been very satisfied with the food! Pad Thai, and chicken fried rice are excellent. Different than any other Thai I've had, in a good way. Food is cooked fresh, and fast. Just wish there was a location closer to home!
google avatar

Jenna S.

Yelp
I got Basil fried rice and vegetable egg rolls. The fried rice was super good and flavorful! Would definitely recommend this dish to those who like a bit of spice. The egg rolls weren't anything special so I won't be getting them again.
google avatar

Jada R.

Yelp
Love this place! I always get the yellow curry and my husband gets the chicken fried rice! We will definitely continue to cost
google avatar

Nikki B.

Yelp
This is the worst Thai food I've ever had. I would not recommend it at all. The pad Thai was super vinegar and the chicken was definitely not good quality. I threw it out and went to dinner somewhere else.
google avatar

Zack L.

Yelp
The food here is so flavorful, I always wonder how they make it. The people working there are always so nice and polite that it's always a pleasure eating there. It is so hard to choose a favorite but I think their Pad Kee Mao wins it for me. I think I've eaten here at least 100 times by now, and I don't plan on stopping any time soon

Yelp
Delicious pad Thai with Tofu, yellow curry with shrimp and appetizers!!!!!! Lovely service. Can't wait to go again!
