Thai Niyom

"Hidden in the shadow of skyscrapers is this gem of a restaurant, which got its start serving family recipes, but now offers an array of Thai cuisine from Chiang Mai to Hat Yai. It is a great place to sample delicious Thai cooking from every region on the same table. Quality ingredients are sourced locally and turned into dishes like the recommended Phuket stir-fried pork belly with shrimp paste and the Chiang Mai Combo, a Northern Thai-style appetiser plate." - Michelin Inspector

Popped into Thai Niyom Cuisine and had myself a proper Bangkok feast 🎉🍲. Almost everything on the table was spot-on – bold, authentic flavors that made me want to order seconds (and thirds). But Batty’s gotta be honest: the green curry didn’t quite steal the show 🌱🥘. I’ve had better bowls elsewhere in the city. That said, every other dish was excellent – from spicy starters to the mains, absolutely delicious. Service? Couldn’t ask for more – quick, friendly, and smoother than a coconut ice cream on a hot Bangkok night 🥥🍦. So here’s my verdict: a fantastic spot for Thai food, just not the very best green curry in town. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Batty approved (with a curry caution 😉).

The Thai wagyu was heavenly, so buttery and tender. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce was fresh and slightly spicy and aromatic and paired well with the richness of the steak. Definitely a must-try for this dish alone. The only qualm I had was the portion size was small. The sausage was aromatic, fresh and packed with familiar Thai flavors of lemongrass, galangal and spice. The pork dish was overly spicy without much flavor and the meat was grisly. I would only recommend the wagyu from this restaurant.

Very interesting place with two floors. The entrance was a hidden door we almost missed this. There’s a whole wide selection of Thai cuisine with a local vibe so definitely would love to try more of what they have to offer. Unfortunately there’s only one tummy and no space for their desserts. All 3 dishes I ordered were excellent. Crispy omelette can be shared portion big enough for 3-4 pax. The beef was excellent! Price is reasonable too but maybe more for tourists than locals.

Google
What a great little place. It doesn’t look like 5 star restaurant (don’t be put off by the back street look and very glittery sign) but it definitely delivers. Recommended by Michelin year by year and it truly deserves it. Pad Thai was best I had in Bangkok and crispy omelette delivered both on taste and texture. Prices are good and portions huge. Service was friendly, decor very nice.

Sub-par food, Price was on high side but taste terrible to my preference. Mango sticky rice is among the worst I ate in BKK. The egg is too oily, customer mostly non local during my visit. Service was good, environments is good. Just the food…. Definitely will not frequent again. Price on high side.

A spin-off from the renowned Thai Niyom that's on Michelin Guide for multiple years, it's no surprise that Thai Niyom Beef Stew Hotpot is the latest hidden gem. This small, unassuming restaurant on the second floor certainly lives up to its parent's reputation. The beef is incredibly high quality, likely because it uses the same beef from smoked beef specialist Billy's Smokehouse, another restaurant in the group. The braised beef I had was exceptionally flavorful and tender. The beef tongue and short rib are clear standouts.

very kind and attentive staff. wagyu steak was amazing but very tiny portion would order two next time. they didn’t have red or green curry for the day but we had delicious tom yum soup. also got crispy omelette, pretty good stir fried flat noodles were our least favorite.

So came along to this restaurant with the backing of Michelin. It was great. Had the wagyu steak which was genuinely the best dish - but very small, you have been warned. All the other dishes fab as was ‘Snow’ are server. Good all round restaurant
