They served objectively good Thai food to me! Really enjoyed everything I ate here. The cherry on top was their amazing service - as there was a long wait for our food, they gave us a mango sticky rice without us asking!!! A pleasant surprise :)

Had an incredible lunch here with my aunt today. I just got back from thailand and ate so much there, and this food was absolutely authentic and superb. Super friendly staff as well as a cozy environment. Will be coming back often!

Food is great here! The red curry with tofu is spicy and delicious. This is my go-to for Thai. The staff is wonderful and extremely friendly. Great service. 5 stars all around. I left a 3* review that I'm editing because the staff addressed it. Really excellent team!

Great place for Thai food in the Belmont/Watertown area. While they do a lot of takeout orders, their dine in experience was really great. The pad see-ew was delicious and their spring rolls and gyoza were very good as well. Try the Mango over ice for a nice drink pairing.

It is extremely hard to choose, because everything was heavenly. Best quality. Honestly every time I’m there, I feel I’m dining at home. Crispy Pork Tom Yum soup amazing. Crispy duck was unbelievable. Thank you

Delicious and huge portions! We ordered Thaitanium, seafood see ew, and red curry with crispy chicken. So yummy!! The service was great. New ownership has significantly improved everything!

Fabulous experience! The service was wonderful & the food was not only delicious, but so beautifully presented. We had a variety of yummy apps & our favorites were the crab rangoons, spring rolls, chicken satay, & shumi. The chicken pad thai & vegetable fried rice were outstanding! Our first visit to Thai Noodle Cafe will definitely not be our last. Can't wait to go back & eat out on the new patio!

Just visited Thai Noodle Cafe for the first time this past weekend. Owners were extremely friendly and customer oriented. The restaurant had a fun and colorful atmosphere. Loved everything about the food including the presentation. My son who is usually a picky eater, raved about the scallion pancakes and we really enjoyed the crab rangoon. I am a big fan of curry and the yellow chicken curry is the best I've tasted. Wish I didn't live out out state and will definitely be eating here again on my next trip to the Boston area.

Great food and terrific experience ordering online. Have never seen an online menu that allowed such customization in how your food was prepared. For example, on can specify every dish be gluten free. Sensitive to any possible allergy. Level of spice can be fine tuned. Can add (or remove) most anything to any dish. Thai Noodle Cafe is our new best restaurant and worth the trip from Arlington.

Lovely hole in the wall local Thai restaurant with friendly service and specified vegetarian options. I really enjoyed their Tom Kha noodle soup, which was a twist on the classic Tom Kha soup but was served as a full pho-sized bowl of soup with your choice of protein and fresh vegetables. Delightful!

Had sworn this place off after a few poor experiences after it first opened. Have given it some time and decided to give it another shot two times over the past few months. Highly improved. Just had pad thai with chicken, figuing that if they messed up pad thai, then all hope was lost (I'd had a bad pad Thai there a few years ago). It was very good, tangy and sweet and well cooked. Whatever has changed (I think ownership may have? Or was it the chef?) seems to have worked.

Started off well with the Thaitanium noodle soup, which had select seafood pieces (the squid was particularly good) submerged in a hot broth. Though touted as a roasted chile broth, for me the broth tasted more like a tom kha soup. The noodles were well-cooked, a bit al dente, not soggy, and the toppings were delicious. Could be a tad spicier. The pad thai is solid as well flavor-wise, but the pieces of pork were much overdone. A bit more attention needs to be paid the cook on the proteins, which do much to harm the attractiveness of the flavors of the main dishes. The Ba Mee Hang, egg noodle with char siu pork and a few bok choy on the side, needed a bit more work. The pork was dry, and needed more flavoring on the edges. The noodles were nicely textured, but the aromatic bits (dried onion, cilantro) came out all flat in the takeout container. The bok choy was a disappointment, as it was simultaneously too soft, but also too dry (!). The spices needed to be spread more evenly throughout the dish. The biggest disappointment was the fresh summer rolls; perhaps because it's no longer summer, that's why they weren't so fresh (?). The lettuce inside the wrap was browned at the edges, and the peanut sauce was way too thick. The mint and shrimp though inside had a nice texture. This is a nice place, located at a critical intersection in town, with lots of potential, serving a cuisine that is sorely lacking in this part of town. With Cafe Vanak (Persian cuisine that seems packed each night, with neighboring small mart Super Vanak), Sophia's (Greek pantry), Linda's (old-school awesome donut shop), and Praliné (high-end patisserie) just down the street, it'd serve Thai Noodle Cafe well to take care of a few culinary details here and there; they're a hard-working team and deserve our business! Looking forward to the next meal here.

I have been going to the Thai Noodle Cafe since it opened around 2019 and reviewdtback then. My first order was a soup (Tom Zap) that I loved so much that I was ordering it at least once a week. Similar to Tom Kha it was based on a kaffir lime/lemongrass/galangal beef/pork broth that was so hot that it cleared my sinuses! But then Covid hit, the restaurant closed, and then reopened under new management and they removed Tom Zap from the menu. However they did have another hot and sour noodle soup based on the same concept but featuring seafood and called "Thaitanium." So I tried it out. I even specified "extra spicy". But the new chef thought extra spicy could be achieved just by including a few packets of sriracha sauce-not even close. I tried again a few weeks later with no better success. I waited and then gave them one more chance a week ago. Success! The place has learned what extra spicy means. The broth was rich with the aromatic notes provided by the classic kaffir lime/galangal/lemongrass combination and it was made very spicy with Thai chile peppers. The hot and sour noodle soup was also loaded with seafood including shrimp, green mussels, and calamari and contained some ground chicken. Since I ordered takeout they packaged the noodles separately and included some lime quarters on the side. As an appetizer I tried something new "Tod Mun", a spicy Thai fish cake. Everything was excellent. I would have preferred some more fresh cilantro and the soup was a little too sweet for me, but that is use my personal taste. I look forward to enjoying their food saison.

Small spot that serves up BIG taste! Food was amazing, fresh, and presented very nicely. I enjoyed everything I had. Staff was super pleasant too! I will absolutely be returning and bringing friends! So many choices, be sure to bring your appetite!

We finally decided to try this new Thai restaurant. I pass by it everyday coming home from work. We went in on a Sunday afternoon and were the only customers there. The server brought us water and took our orders. We ordered crispy chicken pad Thai, pad krapow moo krab, and the curry noodles. Oh, and a miso soup. Despite no one else there and lack of other orders it took a while to get our food. It was so bad that one of our kids asked if mommy ordered anything. First out was the pad Thai. The crispy chicken was sliced thin but it tasted ok. It was too thin for any of the crispness to be effective. However, the noodles were way overcooked. My daughter described it as "creamy"! The moo krab came next and it was very salty. I love salt but still consider it too salty. The pork was deep fried and on the dry side. There were lots of onions! The string beans and green peppers were good though. After a longer while the curry noodles finally came out and it was not impressive at all. Mostly dried crispy noodles on top and some real noodles mixed with curry sauce on the bottom. Two little drum sticks were included. I'm not sure how the miso soup was but can tell you my daughter drank it last, just before we left. As soon as we walked outside the restaurant, she threw up all of that liquid. I'm not sure if it's the soup out of she has the hiccups and it causes the incident. It's true what another Yelper said, no one here smiles. It's too bad this place didn't work out. Cold ways use more Thai food around here. We probably won't be back.

I really want to like this place because I live down the street. Like others have said, this location has been one failed restaurant after another. I agree it has gotten much better since original opening. I was pleasantly surprised, but it is hit n miss. Our bill had a difference in price than they advertise on their website. It isn't a big difference, but annoying. Our chicken satay was best I have ever had. Moist. Plentiful. Great peanut sauce. But no cucumber salad. Again, annoying. The gyoza was filled with nice combo of chicken & pork, but the outside tasted like frozen gyoza from Costco. Pad Thai with chicken was tasty with good spice, but portion was small and we really had to look for the chicken. We ended up using the chicken from our satay. Edamame better than other Thai restaurants, not too salty. Overall, we will try again, but how are these little attempts to skimp worth it to them? Get the easy stuff right, please.

Great traditional and modern Thai food. Highly recomended! We ordered the fresh rolls and gyoza for appetizers and for entree an amazing Pad Thai with crispy chicken! Additionally a papaya salad and Larb Salad (if you like really hot spicy food) Make sure to also get their amazing coconut ice cream.

Everything we have ever had there is perfect for us. We couldn't stop picking it with pad Thai, yellow curry etc... Their ingredients all taste fresh and the food is super flavorful.Pad Thai

Admittedly, I'm hard to please with delivery meals. We and our guest were eagerly awaiting delicious Thai food and didn't get that. Why the 2 stars: - Meals weren't as expected, didn't match the photos. - Portion size misrepresented (or our expectations were based on photos). - Sign on door to knock was ignored. Food sat on our porch until tepid. - Delivery time was more than half an hour after requested. - Crispy chicken order was omitted. - Fried tofu in fresh rolls??? They weren't good at all. - Overall, food didn't taste as good as expected. Sorry.

Small portion for $12.95. It was just vegetables! I should have put something next to it for scale but it was ridiculously small.

What a surprise. We live close but heard bad things about prior owner. Heard from someone else that it's good. It is GREAT. We are hard critics but everything tastes several levels above average Thai. Back in the day we used to like Brown Sugar Cafe. This hands down beats it. We tried the tom yum soup, the green curry, calamary -- all have been excellent.

Wonderful hole-in-the-wall Thai place. Not the usual Thai restaurant food, so take the number of peppers on each menu item seriously. I had the Thaitanium noodle soup, which was really good, despite its oddball name. My wife had the seafood pad thai, which included mussels, and had an unexpectedly good flavor. Good service, although one needs a little patience as there aren't enough tables for dedicated wait staff. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic food!!! Ready quickly and absolutely delicious! Had the wonton soup, gyoza, pad Thai, and cashew shrimp, all of it was amazing!! Definitely will be coming back soon.

New owners have improved the food and ambiance of this small neighborhood Thai restaurant 100% in the past few years. They clearly care and are trying to succeed. Customer service is good and the staff are friendly. While the food is Ok, it is average and not quite as good as other small Thai places in the Belmont/Watertown area. One problem is that they skimp on ingredients and portion sizes. For example, some dishes comprised largely of vegetables are served with only a few thin carrot and onion slices, making it necessary to order "Extra" ingredients. The portion sizes of entrees are VERY SMALL. An adult man would probably have to order several full meals. They need to step it up if they intend to remain competitive.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Everyone was so friendly & the food not only looked great but tasted better! The service was quick as well! Our favorite apps were the crab rangoons, spring rolls, chicken satay, & shumi. I also had the chicken pad thai and that was delicious as well! I will definitely be going back, and am so excited to eat on the outdoor patio! Everyone should try this place!

Under the new management, everything was changed in a great way. I had the boat noodle and fried chicken here, the food was so delicious and service was great. All the staffs are so nice and friendly. If you a fan of noodle and thai food, I would highly recommended to try this place and you wont get disappointed There are many interesting food on the menu that sound really good and I would definitely coming back again for sure.

The food is good. BUT portions are VERY SMALL! And more expensive than other places. Same food we order in other Thai restaurant, comes twice as much food, with same or less price.

Visiting Belmont and noticed this establishment while out for a morning walk. Saw the sign said "under new management ". Decided to order takeout for lunch and so glad we did! The Pad Thai and veggie lo mien were spot on! Was also very pleased with the chicken wings! This will definitely be on our list of places to eat again when we return to visit our granddaughter in Belmont!

Drunken noodles are way too spicy, so I can't even tell if it tastes good or not. The potion for food is very small, same as the dipping source even. They must strictly control their cost by doing this. My first try for this restaurant would be the last one as well.

This is my go-to takeout joint in Belmont. I absolutely love the combo of green curry and pad Thai that my girlfriend and I share. (For this we tried the red curry - but I'm going to stick to green). I haven't ventured too much further outside those. But you won't be disappointed with an order of those two dishes from this hole-in-the-wall gem

Thought we would try this place since they just reopened as a remodel and new ownership. We ordered take out. The order was ready at the time we said we would be by to pick it up. Ordered Fresh Summer roll, 1 order. It contained 2 spring rolls which ours had 2 pieces of shrimp, a few pieces of shredded carrot, noodles and mostly shredded lettuce. It tasted ok but for $7.95 for 2 rolls which were mostly lettuce, it was a little much. The peanut sauce was very good. Ordered Pad Thai with tofu for $12.95. There was enough for 2 small (saucer size) plates for two. The pad Thai was bland, not much taste. There were tofu cubes about 10 of them the size of small dice. They tasted good but would have been nicer if there were more of them or larger. May try another place for comparison and let you know if we will return.

Delicious and recommended. Covid take out. Krapow chicken is delicious, as are the avaocado fresh rolls and steamed pork dumplings. Huz likes the bangkok street pad thai. Chicken satay is okay but the marinade is a little sour tasting. Many other menu items will be tried. They need to fix the front door though. It slams closed.

Food was sooo good and seemed so authentic. I loved their crispy chicken. I want to add it to all entries!! Their iced tea and Todd mun are amaze balls!!!

I'm happy with my experience here. Nice enclosed (with sky overhead) patio option in the back. Drunken Noodles were good and I look forward to trying the Pad Thai next (based on reviews). Great location for Belmont and Watertown residents! Recommended.

After a long day of yard work, we decided to order online from this cafe that had just opened I believe 3 days ago. We have not gone into the space so this review is only on the ordering, delivery and food. We ordered online directly from the cafe and it was easy. Extensive menu with appetizers, soups, salads, noodles either fried or soups, fried rices, curry's, popular Thai plates, sides and desserts. Each selection has options and add on suggestions. It also inquires about allergies and lists them all i.e. gluten, dairy, peanut, soy, shellfish etc... Right away we received a call from the cafe confirming we wanted a dish made Thai style as its very spicy - we appreciated that clarification! I now notice online that they made an adjustment as to the Spicy category, it lists: super hot, hot, medium, mild, no spicy. Great idea. The food was delivered piping hot in less time than specified. Another good thing as we were hungry. Here's what we ordered: steamed pork dumplings were very flavorful, shrimp tempura had a light crispy batter, chicken noodle soup had a flavorful broth and we had ordered vegetables and the noodles which came separate and was a generous amount, the chicken pad Thai was also very good. Good job to this new Cafe! We will be eating their food again and this time we will visit the space.

Second time that I have dined here and recently for lunch and can't say enough about it. Excellent and quality food clean restaurant with reasonable prices. Is now my go to place for Thia food.

Eating at Thai Noodle Cafe was an amazing experience. I had the Thai Basil dish with tofu. Everything was cooked extremely well and the food was very flavorful, not to mention the presentation! We had the pleasure of eating in the small patio in the back which was very quaint and delightful. The service was also exceptional. Can't wait to go back!

4.5 stars I don't know much about real authentic Thai, but it didn't seem adulterated for American taste. So to someone who doesn't really know much about Thai food, it seemed authentic to me. Papaya salad quite spicy - very good. Pad thai and fried pork both very good. Would like to order again.

Stopped in for lunch and was graciously greeted by the owner. Very good pho beef soup with lots of green leafs and bean sprouts, moderately spicy. The service was attentive. It's a nice little place to stop by for a quiet lunch or dinner. Limited seating. Would go back.

I recommend at the highest level. the food was delicious, the servers were friendly and prompt. I went with a large group and they were very accommodating. if you like Thai food, check it out, you won't be disappointed! Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Thai Noodle Cafe. The staff is extremely nice and the service is excellent. The garlic shrimp is so flavorful and delicious and the crab rangoons are the best I've ever had!! This is my new go-to spot for authentic Thai food!

Duck soup was delicious. Broth was sweet. I liked it. Shumai was fresh. Chicken wings were good. So glad to have another place for Thai food.

The food was terrible. We ordered Pad Thai with Chicken, Fried Gyoza, Sweet and Sour Chicken and white rice. The Pad Thai and the rice were so overcooked that they were mushy and the sweet and Sour Chicken had none of the veggies that the menu said were supposed to be in it (it was chicken, onions, tomato and a few pieces of pineapple. The one good thing was the gyoza and it's dipping sauce.

Tom kha was a little too sweet. Didn't feel very authentic or that the chefs knew the Thai kitchen very well. I did enjoy the textures of the salads and thought they presented a very fresh taste.

I am, unfortunately, very disappointed with this food. The portions were tiny, the food did not taste good, the rice was overcooked, and I kept spitting out vegetables from the curry order because the food did not taste right. My extra order of rice was put in plastic baggies, and was like a gelatinous blob - the individual pieces of rice would not even separate from each other. The scallion pancake was extremely thin and flakey. The crispy vegetable rolls were good, but it was clear that they were not made at the café. I assume that they got them from Costco or a similar store. The cardboard that was placed under the food in the bag was literally part of the box from the container that originally held the vegetable rolls.

The best dish that we ordered was chicken satay, rest was not so great. Shrimp Shumai was not home made. Can't recommend.

Worst tasting Thai food I've ever had, and I've been living out in the country for years. Recently moved back to the city and looked forward to good Thai food. Nothing was good. Flavors were all wrong and meat was like shoe leather. I have no idea what the previous reviews were talking about. Will never try this place again.

Great service. When they forgot to put something in my take-out order, they doubled it and had it right away. Very friendly and nice atmosphere.

This place has had a major glow up. It used to be an OK place to grab Thai. Now I'd contend it is one of the best places in the Boston area to get Thai, if not the best. I don't know when it changed owners, so unsure if it's due to that, a new chef, or just getting better with age, but the past 3 times I've ordered from there, I've been blown away with the dishes. And I lived in Bangkok for 12 weeks, so have some moderate experience eating Thai. I've only had the green curry, pad see we and pad Thai -- perhaps the few lower star ratings are due to other dishes or out-dated reviews? -- but the meat, seafood, and veggies in them have been super fresh, and the flavors bright an authentic. Truly exceptional. I cannot believe it has yet to land on any Best-of-Boston lists, because it is that good. So happy I don't need to drive to Brighton. Cambridge, or the city to get a decent Thai meal any more! (In fact, if I lived on those places, I'd be driving to Belmont for Thai Noodle Cafe!)

We were really excited to try a new Thai restaurant because we love Thai food. Sad to say it was a great disappointment. We ordered chicken satay, shrimp pad Thai, and a pad see ew. The satay tasted really weird, not at all satay taste, I don't even know how to describe it but it was off. The good thing was the chicken meat was tender. The shrimp pad thai was sour. More sour than the usual pad thai taste. The shrimp was also overcooked. It was hard and the shrimp meat stuck to the shell. They include 4 shrimps in the pad thai. If it wasn't so sour, I don't think I'd mind it that much. Pad see ew was bland. No taste at all. Disappointed and probably won't visit again. I will add that the restaurant is small and clean, and the owner was very nice.

Great neighborhood Thai food. Glad to have a place close by. The Shumai is homemade and Is very tasty. The moo yang and street style Pad Thai reminded me of the street food vendors from Bangkok. Glad I live around the corner to fulfill my Thai cravings
