Thai Patio

The three of us had a great meal here on a rainy Saturday evening. The restaurant is spacious and bustling with friendly staff dashing about. It was warm and lit beautifully as well. We I had boat noodles while my dining partners had orders of beef jerky, plus a shared mango sticky rice. The noodles where steaming hot, rich in flavor, and a really sizeable portion. Every bite had a great mix of noodles, meat, and crunchy veg. The beef jerky was a big part of why we came coming out hot and crispy with rendered fatty bits and the bright, tangy, slightly sour sauce. The mango sticky rice was delicious with their version being a little heavier on the sweetened condensed milk than others I've enjoyed. Overall, they had great food and beverages for a reasonable, but not amazing price. If we're in the area we'd be back!

Food and plenty of it! Fabulous serving sizes, lovely, adorable girls waiting tables. The food isn't nearly as good as their neighbors across the parking lot, but they make up for it in volume. Generally speaking food is good! (Not great, but definitely good). For some reason, food quality is a lot more variable here than some other restaurants though. So I suspect there are multiple chefs, or some other element at play here. Even still we eat here often, As it's a great place to fill up when you are really hungry. And if you don't deviate too much from the standard dishes, it usually turns out ok.

I came here with my parents after a short hiking day at the Griffith Observatory. The food was top-tier. We had no idea the portions were so big (they're like family-style, rather than individual dishes), so we had to take some home. The Golden Crab Bags (one of the appetizers) was definitely an unexpected winner. The Sa-te chicken (that's how they spelled it in their menu), or Satay chicken, as I know it, was, as always, a winner in my book. Their Pad See Ew was just ok but the Pad Thai is incredible. The combination soup (hotpot version) was great too, and so was their Thai Tea. The service was next-level. Shoutout to Melissa, our server for the day. She was always helpful, attentive and kind. The ambiance was good too. Well-lit-up restaurant with natural light coming in from the windows (it's a corner shop) that's in a well-trafficked area in the middle of Thai Town. Also, the menu is LENGTHY, akin to that of The Cheesecake Factory. Lots of variety there.

Located in the New Hollywood Plaza, Thai patio is a great option for authentic Thai food. Their lunch special prices are nothing short of incredible. Lunch specials are $7.99 per dish and runs from 11am until 4pm ( not available on weekend of holidays ). Ordered the yellow curry, Thai BBQ chicken, pad see ewe. We got seated right away but it can get busy so plan accordingly. Adequate amount of free parking in the plaza parking lot but can fill up quick.

Amazing Atmosphere. One of my favorite places for Thai food. Green House Pepper beef and Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. Quality Service.

Thai Patio is a lively spot with a solid menu and a fun atmosphere, especially if you’re looking for Thai comfort food in the heart of LA. The dishes are flavorful, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly and efficient. However, the Mango Sticky Rice was a bit disappointing the mango didn’t taste like Thai mango, which took away from the dish’s authenticity. That said, the rest of the meal was enjoyable, and the overall experience was still good. If you're in the neighborhood and craving Thai food, Thai Patio is a decent choice, but the dessert could use an upgrade to match the quality of their main dishes.

The food here is delicious and an amazing deal. Their lunch specials are $7.99 and are a great portion. I went last Tuesday around 1pm and there was plenty of parking and tables available. We did try to go on Saturday for dinner but it was impossible to find anywhere to park. It also seemed that they had a valet at that time/day of the week. The pineapple curry is absolutely delicious and they have the best Thai tea!

Wow!! Great food and great service. Got the spicy Thai basil fish and it was enough for at least two meals!!! The exotic brown rice was also filling :)

I came with my husband to try Thai food at this place for the first time. There is a lot of restaurants to choose but this one catche our eyes. Since them I brought my family the food is so good fresh and affordable. Nice customer service. I think this is the best place to try Thai food.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants. I always get the chicken satay and pineapple fried rice. Big pieces of chicken, very flavorful. The fried rice is very savory. Cashew nut chicken is awesome. The drunken noodles are spicy! I didn't like their orange chicken, though. I like mine on the crispier side. Their sauce is also very sweet and tangy. The service is good. Sometimes they get busy during rush hour and you have to flag them down. They do their rounds and check in on tables, though, unlike some other places. There's so many other Thai restaurants in that little plaza too. Their prices are excellent considering their portions are very hearty! I highly recommend this spot to anyone!

Everything about this Thai Restaurant worked so well. We had a great lunch What you look for in intense flavors and fresh tastes is here. We go at off hours like between 1:40 and 2:30 for lunch to avoid crowds

There's a lot of places to eat in this area and we decided to try this one. The waitresses were friendly and it wasn't too crowded at the time we went. We tried: peppercorn curry, papaya salad, jungle curry, crispy pork belly, and roast duck salad with a bucket of rice - which came in a literal bucket! The jungle curry claims to be BOLD flavored because it doesn't use coconut milk. All spicy meals can be controlled to mild medium spicy, and I thought medium wasn't quite spicy enough, so I might go risk spicy next time.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon to a near empty restaurant. Food came out within 10 minutes. Then the restaurant got packed! Everything we ordered was yummy & well portioned. Soup - Tom Kha (medium level) was sweet & flavorful with just enough spice to feel the kick. I do wish there were more veggies than just mushrooms. Drunken Noodles (+$2 with beef) - Yummy but I think protein should be automatically added but this is LA I guess haha. Pickled Pork Fried Rice - Interesting. Neither of us have had pickled pork before & didn't expect it to come in sausage form. It wasn't bad thankfully & added a lil tang to the fried rice. Crunchy banana rolls - Yummy & wasn't overly sweet. Nice way to finish a hearty lunch. Beverage - Thai teas were ok. I didn't like the young coconut. I'm from Hawaii so I know a good coconut & this just tasted off lol. Overall, I was a little skeptical due to mixed reviews but glad we gave it a try! We left with happy bellies & a good amount of leftovers to indulge in later. Bill wasn't too bad for the amount we got.

When I'm having a bad day I come here and get the $13 steak salad for a full sirloin drenched in the most addictive dressing - and it ALWAYS makes things better. The menu is extensive and affordable with generous portion sizes, and the staff are kind and hardworking and gave me a free Thai tea refill cause the salad spice was making my nose run in the best way possible. The interior is bustling and the patio is immaculate. Easily one of the most comforting spots in Thaitown.

This is a fantastic spot if you enjoy Thai cuisine. The portions are very generous, and the food is served quickly. While the restaurant itself isn't the most romantic setting (I wouldn't recommend it for a date night), the food and service are excellent! I highly recommend trying the fried shrimp stuffed with ground chicken, accompanied by a chili sauce. The green curry (number 53) is also delicious, featuring wonderful flavors. It could be even better with higher-quality vegetables like eggplant and onion, as it currently comes with bell peppers, bamboo shoots, and green beans. Nonetheless, it's still very tasty! I will definitely return for the food and service. The spicy fried rice is delightful; we tried it with shrimp, and it was fantastic. The portion is so generous that it can easily be shared among three people.

We came on a Monday night with a group of 3 and were seated right away. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious. Mild had the perfect amount of spice.

This place is great! The Nomtok beef is a hidden gem, goes great with the papaya salad.

I've been coming to Thai Patio and Thai Town sister businesses here in the New Hollywood Plaza for a long time. It's one of my favorites for many reasons. Try the spicy seafood soup which features about fifty dollars worth of premium seafood. It is served in a flaming pot and it has cured quite a few colds for me and my friends. Five stars. Be adventurous and give the traditional Thai dishes a shot, like the wild boar. You can choose from numerous vegetarian and vegan options as nearly the entire four page menu can be made with fried or steamed tofu instead of meat. Thai Patio has been featuring local live musicians and late night eats for a long time. A true story about Thai Town USA and poem to follow. Skip to the end or bypass if that's not your thing. Come here for the great food, service and value. I started coming here in the late nineties when I was a teenager in a rock band. Back then, the Hollywood music scene was incredible but we didn't have Uber or Lyft to help us make it home safely. To help people in Hollywood get home safely, and reduce automotive fatalities, a few Thai restaurants in the area opened their doors after the bars and clubs closed. My band loved the lifesaving efforts from the Thai community and this restaurant, so we came here every day before rehearsal and recommended this restaurant to our fans to make sure they made it home. Once upon a time there was a handicapped and disabled person who failed a field sobriety test due to her handicaps. And though she passed a few blood alcohol tests, it was difficult to explain she was blind where her field test was given. She thought about cashing with a lawsuit in honor of disabled people but at the height of the pandemic there was something much more important. In honor of George Floyd, she collected signatures from criminals who took credit for their actions and asked to forward their support for better treatment to people of color and with disabilities in a signed letter to a judge. The white career criminals who turned themselves in for their actions in honor of a black man is my personal favorite part of that story. This seems like a beautiful place to leave a poem. I've been coming here for almost two years now. It's a cute causal authentic spot. That being said, parking is awful on weekends, there's only valet available. The customer service is a 5/10, they always seem to be understaffed. They're not rude, but also not nice. They're just there. The portions are very generous and have great pricing. I always get the pad Thai and my partner gets the drunken noodles. Their coconuts are also very yummy!

Thai Patio has generous portions and affordable prices. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and the location is super convenient. Parking is confusing and valet only which is upsetting, but that is true for any restaurant in this plaza. Be sure to tell the staff if you don't eat meat, I got tofu pad thai and it also came with spam/ham chunks which was really disappointing. Every other dish I've tried was really tasty and I always had leftovers for the next day which is a plus. I've never heard live music here like the other reviews mention, but the atmosphere is comfortable. The noodles are always cooked just right, and the food is flavorful.

We come here usually for their lunch special which is one of the most affordable lunch specials out there. ($7.99!) I love that they still offer that despite the terrible inflation. Their food is pretty good and worth the price. I've tried their bbq chicken, stir fry basil and yellow curry. Their service is also good, I like that they smile and are friendly. The atmosphere is also great, very chill. What else can I say? Come try it out! It's definitely worth the money!

The Thai Ice Tea is to die for and serving size is huge! Prices are pretty reasonable and there are plenty of tables and parking. I really like the grilled beef thai style with brown rice as the beef is delicious and the portions are really massive. The noodles can get a little dry sometimes and the seafood seems sus but overall, this place has really good deals.

So last night a buddy and I tried a new to us, Thai restaurant. Overall service was excellent, but maybe it was my choice of dishes that weren't as excellent as I expected. Not to say I wouldn't go back and try another set of dishes. I'm not one to like having to peel shrimp when they are saucy, which can be messy. The pork was tasty and I would order it again. As for the drunken noodles, I felt it could use more noodles. Again, just my opinion, but flavors were good. I suggest you try it for yourself and enjoy.

Food is alright. Service could be more accommodating but staff doesn't care. Ambiance is casual but simple. Better reviews are at another restaurant (which was packed with people) so next time we are trying something different.

My 2nd backup in the area for a guaranteed seat because the place is huge and the parking is well managed. The menu is varied and hand a lot of great standards for Thai, but some of the best here are the whole fish offerings. Done here in a very crispy and savory style, Thai Patio seems to shine at the bigger banquet style plates rather than being particularly remarkable on standards like Pad Thai. So try the interesting options in the house special portions of the menu and you won't be disappointed. They have really efficient service since they cater to a quick business lunch crowd that doesn't slow down until dinner.

You have to ovoid this place they don't tell the truth They use the same oil for frying fish calamari skin pork and everything else in the same dirty fish And when we asked they say you didn't mention that we don't eat pork We find skin pork fried with the calamari My daughter dropped her Thai tea drink and didn't even get a sip of it yet and they told me we had to pay for it again. We had towels pay twice for one drink.

We had the yellow curry, pad thai, Chinese broccoli with crispy pork, tom yum, Thai omelette, ground chicken wrap (can't find the name of it) and mango sticky rice. I really enjoyed the pad Thai, crispy pork, the ground chicken wrap and the mango sticky rice. I thought the ton yum and yellow curry was just okay. Overall I thought the quality of the food was good and was pleasantly surprised by the price. We got a lot of food for what we paid. The service was awesome. Everyone here was very nice and helpful. I'd definitely come back.

I have been coming here for at least 10 years. This is my community, so I support them. Maybe today was terrible because it's Christmas and they didn't want to cook. I ordered red curry, but there was nothing red about it. It was dry with an excessive amount t of chicken. There was 1 red pepper... maybe two green slices and 1 yellow. It was so drab and sad looking. It was truly disappointing. They gave us hot sauce in packets! That was crazy! Tea was served in styrofoam cups! It's an end of an era... I don't know if management changed but I will never be back there again. The server was very sweet and kind and none of this was her fault obviously!

Went there for my birthday - ordered the mushroom soup- bbq chicken- pickled pork fried rice, all the dishes were delicious and the service was great.

The best Radna in town, I think ! We stumbled upon this Thai restaurant after we boarded from the Thai dessert place next door and we ordered a few things as lunch. Once you stepped in the restaurant, you'd feel like you're in some local Thai cafe. No fancy deco, in fact, quite run down deco but functional. Definitely must order - Radna. I had it with chicken. The rice noodles were fried perfectly and the sauce was scrumptious. Plenty of gai lan and chicken. The best value and best tasting Radna for $9.90 ! Beef salad was also very tasty but could do with more green salad. Also must order the water spinach, we had it with no meat. Perfectly crunchy and tasty. Crab fried rice - we could skip and order other fried rice instead. Nothing special. The two servers were very efficient and polite and the food came quite quickly after ordering.

The NUUMBER ONE rule for eating at a Thai restaurant in Thai town is: If there are no Thai people in the restaurant, leave and go to Ruen Pair. I have walked past Thai Patio every time Im in Thai Town. Tonight, Ruen Pair was packed (as always) and I decided to try Thai Patio. It was disgusting. The table was sticky, the green curry was bland and filled with days old veggies. I left after two spoons of the curry. This is a spot for tourists that do not want to wait for authentic Thai from Hollywood Thai or Ruen Pair. P.S. THAI PATIO was full of tourists tonight

Scammed us automatic 15% tip !! BE AWARE !! The menu states that if you have a party of 8 or more, you'll be automatically charged 15% gratuity. Went yesterday as a party of 7, the cashier didn't tell us she included the 15% tip in our bill, on top of us tipping $40. I informed her about the mistake and she refused to give us our money back. Service: they did not attend to us, water was not refilled. Tap water with no ice. It's as if we ate at a grab n go. There was a rubber band in the seafood soup. It was so disgusting my mom handed it to the server with no apology like it's normal or something. When you walk into the restaurant you can feel your shoes sticking to the floor like they haven't mopped in weeks. The staff just disappear into the back so you have to patiently wait until you can get their attention because they definitely are NOT checking up on guest. Overall the experience is very unhygienic and unhelpful from the servers. Be aware of Thai patio, they are money hungry and it shows.

I was there last night with my friends. The waitress missed my order we also found hair in our fresh roll. When I finished I designed to not leave the tips. Suddenly the waitress that took our orders won't let me leave the restaurant because I didn't leave her tips. I told her I'm a not satisfied with her service and this is so rude, but she still keep continue argue with me about tips. so I told her I only have one dollar cash if you want and she said yeah I take it. That the only order she will let me leave the restaurant!! Btw not the pretty long hair waitress she was so nice.

Love love love. I was tasting heaven in each mouthful. My son had pad se ewe with chicken. No veggies. Always complimented to the very end how good it was. We keep coming back he always orders the same I change it up. Never disappoint.

Food is spot on and consistent throughout the years it has been our go to Thai spot to dine. Love the smell of aromatic jasmine rice that complement the rest of the dishes. Although one of our order didn't come or might be forgotten the service is just right considering its on a weekend. All dishes are large enough for sharing. Mango sticky rice is not the best I can say it's average. I like the salad so refreshingly delightful touch. I drench my food with their vinegar don't mind me I know you'll enjoy it too.

This is a warning for diners at this place. When my partner and I first moved to LA, we used to come here often. That was, until his bag got stolen right off the back of his chair without us noticing until we left. But here's the kicker -- The restaurant had security footage but refused to let us see it. It became a thing. We called LAPD but clearly they had more important things to do than look for a stolen bag. Who knows where that bag got to, but something tells us that someone at the restaurant had something to do with it. Otherwise, why not just show us the footage? We asked and they absolutely refused. So take my advice. Be careful coming here. Watch your items. The restaurant surely isn't going to help you out. Luckily, my partner's bag just had a book vs his work laptop, which he normally brings with him but left it at home so we could enjoy a date night. I came back recently to get takeout since i was in the neighborhood. God, it was awful. Sure, it's cheap but the food was overall just so flavorless. There are so many better places to get Thai in LA, especially in Thai Town. I'm swearing off this place. Never again.

This restaurant is located in Thai town, Hollywood Blvd. Food was delicious, fresh and made to order with large portion size. We had ordered Thai Iced Tea, Stir fried Babycorn, Veggie Drunken Noodles and Sticky Mango Rice. All the items that we had ordered was tasty & scrumptious. They have spacious indoor and outdoor patio seating. Parking is easily available on the street as well as in front of the restaurant. Customer service was good. I had a nice experience!

Very fresh and tasty food. Crab fried rice was excellent. Pad Thai was delicious. Tom yum soup done just right. Very friendly ladies working the lunch rush. Always coming by to check on us. A casual place for lunch. And from the steady crowd constantly entering the restaurant, was a good sign.
