"Thai Sapa has been feeding hungry hikers for two decades. The restaurant opened in 2003 and has been serving authentic Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese dishes ever since — often using organic ingredients sourced from its very own garden. Pair a sweet Thai tea with shrimp spring rolls, Indian samosas, and delightful curry dishes." - Ryan Slattery

So excited to see this Thai restaurant in Springfield just outside the Zion National park, a very well decorated cozy restaurant. Foods are relatively good considering the location. Their fried rice, beef salad was really good, but the beef green curry was a little bit light & runny, although the taste was relatively good. Drunken noodles were not up to the mark. Loved their mango sticky rice. Overall we all enjoyed the dinner

We tried the veggie fried rice, chicken Pad Thai, and Thai iced tea—and everything hit the spot! We asked for extra spice and they delivered just right. Portions were decent, flavors were on point, and the Thai iced tea was super refreshing. The views from the restaurant are stunning, and the service was friendly and quick. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by for a delicious meal with a side of scenery!

Google
Super cute restaurant. Incense smell great! The food is beautiful and tastey. The brisket bahn mi bread is perfect, although do wish you could taste the vinegar a tad bit more. The miso soup is the best I’ve ever had. The wonton soup I’ve never had in a Thai restaurant before , so maybe it’s normal; but it was sweet which was off putting. My son had the taro boba and was a huge fan. After had the fried tofu with peanut sauce. Super crispy (which she loved). Let’s not forget the view! ❤️

We had an amazing experience at Thai Sapa in Springdale, right by Zion National Park! The food was absolutely delicious and good portions. The service was impressively fast, and the hospitality made us feel so welcome. Travis was our waiter, and he was fantastic — kind, attentive, and gave us great dish recommendations that we loved. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Google
We went on a Wednesday evening early March around 7pm. There were very limited staff so it was a little bit of a wait but you could tell they were all hustling and doing their best. The peanut sauce the fried tofu came with was really good. Thai iced tea was decent but the boba were very undercooked. Overall it was a pleasant meal in a great location (close to Zion park entrance) and a nice Thai food fix.

I have an allergy to wheat and shellfish, which can make eating out in small towns challenging. This restaurant was great for my allergies and I was confident eating there. Our server was so friendly and kind. They have good boba too! The tables are a little small so prepare to be a little crowded. The prices are a little expensive, but that's the tourist tax being so close to the park.

Google
I ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken and the stir fry with shrimp. The soup was wonderful. The stir fry was average (I ordered this based on my waiter’s recommendation). I loved the abundance of vegetables in the stir fry. The shrimp were decent sized but only 5-6 per serving. The soup had too much broccoli. I have never had broccoli in Tom Kha before. I would have preferred more carrots. The menu items differed from what I found online. I was not pleased that my soup and entree arrived at the same time. I attribute this to waiter error. So be specific about the order and timing of courses. This was not a language barrier.

Google
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The menu was deceptive and did not reflect what was actually served. The food was heavily over-seasoned in some dishes and bland in others, which made for a confusing and underwhelming meal. My pad Thai had a strand of hair in it—completely unacceptable—and my friend’s rice had a burnt, smoky flavor as if it had been sitting too long in the rice cooker. Only one person out of our group of seven was somewhat satisfied—she had the curry. One of my friends barely touched his food because it was that off-putting. Service felt inattentive, and the mandatory 20% gratuity seemed to encourage complacency rather than quality. One of the servers even wore her attitude on her face the entire time. To make matters worse, they didn’t follow their own posted policies regarding splitting checks, which added to the frustration at the end of the meal. We were a group of seven, and none of us left impressed.

Yelp
We were a little bit skeptical because of the low review and because it is just so convenient Lee located next to the park, but our food was delicious and everything was flavorful and authentic. We visited on one of the busiest Zion park days of the year, and they seated us within 20min, served us quickly, and it was an all-around lovely experience. As vegetarians, we were thrilled to see all the vegetarian and vegan options: the yellow curry could be made vegan without fish sauce, the orange tofu was delightful, and the Thai tea was strong and delicious. Absolutely recommend this place!

Yelp
This is the most bastardized "Thai" food I've ever seen. None of the food looked like any of the photos. The pad thai has no egg in it and none of the flavors that make pad thai what it i. It's basically overcooked pho noodles and some weird sauce. There was no fish sauce, no egg, no peanuts, just noodles and sauce and a few bean sprouts. The coconut soup was the tomyum and they pour coconut in it. The problem is looks like an red mess. The coconut was curdled which tells me that they just took a soup, boiled it, and poured coconut milk in. In addition, I can tell they only added such a small amount of coconut that you can barely taste it. A lower temp while adding would have corrected that. There's a bay leave instead of a lime leaf and there was no gakangal which is the thai ginger in it. There's so much to say, wife's dish none of it was seasoned. Too tired to go on. Let's just say it's getting sushi at 7-11 and claiming it's a sushi restaurant. Last complaint is that the tip percentage on the bill automatically begins at 18% I live in Los Angeles and eat weekly in Thai town and spent time in Thailand. I think the other reviews about how great the food is are from people who never had real thai food before. Workers were nice and the view was excellent. You don't have to be thai to make great thai food just know the flavors and recreate it. Add your twist of you want but the fundamentals of flavor and cooking techniques were not there.

Yelp
We got the tomyum soup, beef green curry, chicken red curry, and samosas. All of them were good except the tomyum soup which was pretty lackluster. The real problem is the portion sizes. They are absolutely puny for the price you are paying. The items above cost a total of roughly $100 (they automatically charge an 18% tip to your bill) and the four of us left still hungry. Restaurant is clean and staff were courteous. No problems there.

Yelp
Thai Spa is an incredible find! We enjoyed a meal with a breathtaking view of the mountains of Zion while sitting outside. The Bánh mì sandwich with brisket was a delightful surprise - the meat was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the fresh, crispy baguette. The red curry with chicken was equally impressive, with a rich, aromatic sauce that had just the right amount of spice. The combination of delicious food and stunning scenery made for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend!

Rob M.

Yelp
Not bad , a mixture of Asian styles of food . Fusion? We had no complaints . Authentic flavors came through.

Yelp
The 3.3 starts that this page currently has does not do this restaurant justice. We're ordered an array of things but only got one pic. Our reviews are below: Yellow curry: great flavor and consistency of the curry. It was incredibly good, especially considering the restaurants location. This dish was so good I made it for dinner this week because I wanted to experience the flavor profile again. Fried rice: I would give it a solid 7.5. I've had better rices but this satisfied the craving and had great taste. Pad Thai: different flavor profile than what I am used to but the whole table agreed that the flavor was great. The noodle consistency was amazing! This is usually what throws me off at other restaurants. Wonton soup: the broth tasted like pho broth so we all agreed that ordering the pho would be more bang for your buck because the wontons did not have a good filling to wrapping ratio. It was still delicious and hit the spot on a rainy day. Thai tea: definitely the star of the meal!! It was amazing!! Wish I could've drank 5 cups of this. Tooo good. Crab Rangoon's: overpriced a bit but my friend said it was yummy and satisfied her craving. The sauce it came with was the highlight of the dish- she loved it. Beef sauté with veggies: I forgot the name of the dish exactly but out of all the plated entrees this dish had the richest and most flavorful taste to it and was quite enjoyable. Paired nicely with the rice that it was served it. The plate was wiped clean haha. Was pleasantly surprised by the food here since it only had 3.3 stars. Would definitely come back next time I'm visiting Zion!

Merry K.

Yelp
We ordered the pho, wonton soup, orange dish, thom kha, and pad thai to go. Every single dish was very bland and lacked flavor. The pho had too much cloves in it and the other dishes aside from the thom kha had no taste whatsoever. The orange dish came with an absurdly small amount of chicken for its price, it was about 5 small pieces of chicken and a lot of rice! Overall really bland tasting food and poor amounts for the price. The only good dish was the thom kha, which had a nice amount of flavor from keffir, lemongrass & coconut milk, and came in a decent portion.

Shruti J.

Yelp
Location is great, food is alright but the service here is ridiculous! We were a group of 13 and so we had two tables, the server here outright asked us to be quiet when we were going over the menu! Her words " you guys are very noisy, can you keep it down"!!! It was rude and her tone was ridiculous!

Sherry W.

Yelp
My family and I were really craving some Asian food while visiting Zion. I saw that this place serves Thai and some Vietnamese dishes, so we gave it a try. I was so disappointed by the portion sizes. I understand prices are higher in high tourism areas, and I didn't mind paying $69 for 3 entrees, but each entree was so small, we had to cook additional food at our airbnb! Which is a bit ridiculous for the price we paid. I would at least expect to get full. The food, however, is very tasty.

kavita r.

Yelp
As a family of vegetarians, we went to Thai Sapa and we ordered delicious yellow curry, mouth watering fried tofu and fresh Springdale stir fried and orange chicken and ended off with a soft mango sticky rice. The service was fantastic as the waiters were really nice and helpful, they even gave us their opinions on the food! The seating was fantastic as we had a nice table of four and some cool moist breeze of air conditioning.

Dan P.

Yelp
Decent place to grab some Asian food whilst in Springdale. They have decent selections of soups that's hearty and will warm you up after a cold dip in The Narrows. I grabbed pho which is a bit salty and might not be the most authentic but it was a nice aromatic soup to pair with the drunken noodles. I got the drunken noodles with chicken (which was a bit dry) but the crispy noodles were savory though I wish there were more vegetables. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating as well as parking spaces. Service was friendly and quick! I waited about 10 min for take out.

Julia C.

Yelp
Walked in right before 6pm on a Sunday in November. This is 30 minutes after sunset so it's starting to get dark outside. The small parking lot was full so we parked across the street and walked over. Tall male hostess said about a 10 minute wait so we waited inside their tiny lobby area next to a wall divider. People started trickling in after us and when the area filled up to 6 people, an asian lady came out and asked us to wait outside while she turned on the two heat lamps outside on their patio. Our food was good because we were hungry after hiking at Zion, but it wasn't good to the thai food we're used to eating in Las Vegas.

Johnson W.

Yelp
- Food was at acceptable level for being in this area. - Desert of Mango Sticky rice was pretty decent - Service was good The overall experience at this restaurant was great, but when it came to the time of paying, that became a bit tricky... Normally I give out 20% of tips at restaurants for lunch or dinner, this restaurant charged 18% of tips in the total bill, and when the server took my credit card to charge, he only brought back the credit card charge receipt. TRICKY POINT!! The credit card receipt didn't indicate they have already charged me 18% on total bill.... It came back with a blank space for me to fill in tips!!!! If I didn't pay attention (took picture) to the food receipt, I would have added in another 20% of tips on top of the 18% they have charged!! THIS IS VERY BAD PRACTICE OF BUSINESS!!! Still, I do give them credit of having some acceptable food for being in this town, so 3 stars is what I think they deserve.

Jamie K.

Yelp
Walking distance from the National Park area. Enjoyed our food outside with our dog. GREAT service. ENJOYED the Tom Yum (would've liked more veggies), but I think is should've came with rice for that price. My husband had the Pad Thai, which was a little too sweet. Overall, great food and experience!

Delaney M.

Yelp
Food is bad. We ordered the Pho with beef, Tom Yum soup with chicken, shrimp spring rolls, and dumplings. All of the meat tasted sour. The broth for the Pho tasted like clove water- there were no other flavors. The sauces for the Pho and dumplings tasted like cheap Hoisin sauce. The waiter was nice but didn't say anything when he realized we didn't touch our food and just brought our check- maybe 5 minutes after the food was dropped off. Also, prices are insane. We spent $60. Just keep driving past, there are better places to eat in Springdale.

Rex C.

Yelp
Thai Sapa in Springdale provides a reliable option for a satisfying meal, particularly after a strenuous hike. While it may not offer the same level of culinary diversity or bold flavors as California cuisine, it still manages to hit the spot and fulfill your cravings. The food at Thai Sapa may lack some of the "oomph" found in more diverse food scenes, but it's nonetheless enjoyable and comforting, especially after an outdoor adventure. The service is commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience, and the ambiance, while not extraordinary, is adequate for a casual meal. Overall, Thai Sapa serves its purpose well as a convenient and satisfying dining option in Springdale, perfect for refueling after a day of hiking.

Bhargab C.

Yelp
We were at Springdale while visiting Zion and found this gem. The 3.5 rating does not do justice to this place. We called ahead to make reservation and found our table ready when we arrived. The ambience was great with stunning views of the Zion. The staff were very courteous, and the food was amazing. The Tom yum was perfect and the fried rice was one of the best street style i have ever had in recent times! A must visit place for asian food lovers who are visiting Zion.

Tammy L.

Yelp
We ordered the vege stir fry and yellow curry. I would give 3.5 sstars for the food. The curry was rather thin (more like soup than curry) and the stir fry a bit salty. Service was good and you can't beat the view.

Darrin D.

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Service was nice but the food was TERRIBLE!! They claim to be vegan, good luck with that. The cross contamination is ridiculous. We ordered a vegan pad Thai, it had bits of beef in it and the veggie eggroll was ice cold. And to top it off, you could hear a guy and a girl yelling in the back of the kitchen for roughly 10 minutes straight. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

Cassidy M.

Yelp
Excellent food. We did a morning hike and wanted a bite to eat, passed by this place and immediately walked in when we saw the special was wagyu beef bahn mi. (The meat option was inconsequential, my partner loves bahn mi. There was pork as well.) I ordered the chicken satay as an app. Delicious!! It came with a peanut sauce that was slightly more sweet than I've made or eaten, but very yummy. I also ordered pad Thai. It was smothered in incredible sauce. It was all elevated by the mango green tea I drank with it. For those who eat gluten free or vegan, each dietary need is clearly labeled on the menu. I felt safe ordering and didn't get sick. A surprising find in Zion but definitely a good one.

John S.

Yelp
Food and service are great. Staff are very accommodating and professional. Will definitely go back when we will visit Zion again

Sandra R.

Yelp
Pad Thai Chicken was overcooked and sauce was too thick. My husband had their version of drunken noodles and it lacked flavor. We waited for refills on water and for the server to come back, we finally had to flag somebody down. We were glad they were open late , wish it would have been a better experience.

Erin S.

Yelp
I was really not impressed with this place. The thai food was not traditional thai. The pad thai was rubbery and the services wasn't too great as our drinks were forgotten.

Ann L.

Yelp
I've been to Thailand and their food did not disappoint! My favorites were the spicy beef salad and the mango sticky rice.

Sheldon R.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. We ordered tofu pad Thai, fried rice, yellow curry, and another noodle dish. All were vegan options. The service was very fast and workers were friendly. The food was overpriced and portions were small. I didn't like how a large tip was automatically included in the bill. That was sneaky. I'd choose another option at Zion for food.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Thai spot a few minutes walk out from the main entrance of Zion. The service was fast and friendly, but I found the food to be a bit lacking for the price. Would've preferred more flavor and portions, but for a Thai restaurant near Zion Canyon it was decent!

Gretchen G.

Yelp
Great food and service with amazing views in Zion. We had the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry along with chicken satay and egg rolls.

Bri V.

Yelp
Quick service and delicious food! We walked in and got seated right away. The server was quick to get drinks and place the food order. I got the drunken noodles and husband got the pad Thai. We both really enjoyed our dishes. Mine came with lots of fresh veggies. There are lots of customization options with regards to meat/vegan options and spice level.

Brian O.

Yelp
Compared to some other reviews, maybe we just got lucky, but we had a fantastic meal here. Yes, the menu is not large (remember where you are) but everything hit the spot. Again, maybe we lucked out with portions: 3 of us easily split 2 entrees (pad thai and drunken noodles), though you'd probably be wise to get an appetizer as well. Waiter was incredibly friendly and stayed to chat with us up to closing (and this is not a late-night town, so we were thankful for the "later" hours). Springdale is such a meat and potatoes town that maybe no one thinks to eat here while on vacation but give this a shot!

Donna J.

Yelp
Small portion with warm barely hot, dry food. Did not taste anything that resembled Thai food. Chicken was very chewy, dry, with zero taste, also food was so dry other than they shook some soy sauce over the food prior to serving it. Definitely was microwaved. Most of the plate was filled with yucky white rice. The menu was small and limited with only 5 choices of plates of food. The server probably sensed my disappointment and didn't even come by to ask how was our meal. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant.

trish k.

Yelp
Pleasant service. We took food to go. My drunken noodle dish was decent size but lacked flavor. Seemed that they did not used any spices.

East-Sider S.

Yelp
Update to say that I spoke to the owner and he was genuinely apologetic. Although it doesn't change the graveness of the situation, he seemed very concerned and I am hopeful now that there will be some discussion on allergies with the staff so that this doesn't happen to someone else.

Krystal Y.

Yelp
Service was quick and attentive. The flavors were as authentic as you get when you're eating Thai in the desert. The spring rolls were good and my husband said the wonton soup was the best he ever had, for $10 I'd sure hope so! The yellow curry was mediocre, the glass noodles were very flavorful.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
With the expectations I had, I thought the food was delicious! The food could use more flavors, and there were some interesting vegetables that were added to the dishes. My friend and I got a table immediately, and the waiter was great! The ambience of the place is very casual, especially as it's outside a national park.

Lianne S.

Yelp
Very good! Excellent service! Beautiful views. Sit outside for a great sunset. Bathrooms were clean

Jenna I.

Yelp
Ordered take out from this place after a long day in the park. We ordered shrimp pad Thai, red curry with chicken, and drunken noodles with chicken + 2 Thai iced teas....everything was so delicious! Honestly one of the best pad thais I've ever had. Not dry and had a perfect amount of sauce. Since this was take out, we didn't have traditional sit down service to get the full ambiance but the hostess who took our order over the phone and who gave us our order when we picked up was so nice and attentive. Highly recommend this place

Cole P.

Yelp
I thought the food was great! My fiancé thought the wonton soup was a bit too sweet but it's definitely just preference because I thought it was perfect. Good serving sizes and very fresh Waiter was super nice and the restaurant is so cute and peaceful.

Patty N.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Staff was pleasant but a little slow. Wagu bahn mi and pork drunken noodle were decent. Not as great for chicken pad thai. We were starving after our hike so it did the job but doesnt compare to thai coming from NY. Still solid spot for where we are

Jen F.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service. I ordered the Bach Sio with pork and it was like Drunken Noodles but better. The noodles had a fried/crispy outside which made it almost mochi-like. My partner ordered the Chow Mein and enjoyed it too. The crispy egg rolls were delicious as well. Great meal after some long hikes. Quick service. Would come again!

Nora A.

Yelp
Food was decent in taste, but portions were merely snack size. We expected more for a $21 pad thai dish.

Jessie Z.

Yelp
I ordered the drunk noodle to go and found this piece of metal in my dish. Not happy!

Debbie B.

Yelp
Our family of 4 enjoyed the food at Sapa!! Thai food is always a little difficult b/c your favorites back home never taste the same at another restaurant. Things were different here but all very good! The chicken satay was especially good! The Tom Yum soup was very different but very flavorful and delicious. The red curry was a little bland but still good (our waiter told us the green curry had more spice). The noodle dish had noodles that were more like doughy pancakes...my husband liked it more than normal drunken noodles, and my daughter liked it less. The ambience was nice and it was nice and warm inside on a cold day! Service was quick and helpful!

Mike M.

Yelp
We read the rating / previous reviews and almost decided not to come. So glad we decided to look past the score and try this place!! We literally had some of the best Thai food we have had anywhere. That includes Miami where we live, New York, where we travel often as well as other places around the world. The Papaya Salad was fresh, delicious and perfectly spiced. We also decided to try something different called a Thajita. Think a Mexican fajita with Thai spices and ingredients. It came out sizzling and was out of this world. Tim our server was awesome - friendly, prompt, professional and funny! The owner also stopped by our table. She was nice and inviting. We can't recommend this restaurant enough and will definitely return when we are in Zion!

Angie M.

Yelp
Great view by the window. 3 stars because that was the smallest "bowl" of curry for $19 and I've had better. Server was in a hurry to just get through tables. No special occasion dessert provided and costs $9 for a few pieces of mango with sticky rice. But that view though...

Sd D.

Yelp
Service was good food was really fresh Right on the Zion main drag I had fried rice with pork

Jason J.

Yelp
Showed up an hour before closing. Said they wasn't going to take anymore people. Had about 4 other parties walking in behind us. They where not busy. Guess this place doesn't want to stay in business. Poor service. Change your hours then.

Steph L.

Yelp
Good food after a long day of hiking! Tim was our waiter and he was very personable, made us laugh and did a great job! We had the wonton soup, which was loaded with wonton's. The spring rolls are super crispy and delicious. We split some fried rice with a coconut shrimp appetizer for an entree and it was way plenty for two, hungry people. Don't forget to try the Thai tea! Stuffed, but happy! Thanks Tim, for wonderful customer service!!!

Tenzin D.

Yelp
I wish I took pics of the food before hand! But 10/10! Could be because I was craving Asian food or that we hiked all day but wow! The papaya salad was one of the best I've had and the pho was perfect with very tender meat! People were great! Eating with the view and everything was great!

Pam H.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant in the small town of Springdale, right outside of Zion National Park. Quick service. Food menu choices. Very delightful food.

Anonymous D.

Yelp
Within walking distance from entrance to the park. Decent parking available surrounding the restaurant. We ordered 2 chicken pad thai entrees and the stir fry entree. Food was good but even more noteworthy was the service. Our waiter even offered to top off our water bottles before we left. If you have been traveling park to park and a little tired of burgers and pizza, this was a welcome change
