I visited Thai Siam Restaurant for the first time, mainly because it offered halal options. The taste was different, which is understandable since I was new to Thai food. The service was friendly, but the waitress checked in every 2 minutes while we were deciding, making us feel rushed. I ended up ordering quickly without getting a chance to fully explore the menu. Additionally, I found the prices to be a bit on the higher side. While I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the food, the overall experience left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. I might give it another try myself to see if it improves.

I recently dined at Thai Siam in Sugar Land and had a fantastic experience. The combination rice and cashew chicken were delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors. The peach iced tea, with its free refills, was a refreshing accompaniment. The service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere added to an enjoyable dining experience. Definitely a 5-star recommendation!

Google
It used to be my go to place. Now, I am demoting this place. John is not paying attention on this location. They can’t even prepare Pad Thai properly anymore. Two times, my to go order had soggy noodles which was not even mixed properly with sauce. Was having lunch the other day and within 15-20 minutes, I was asked 4 times whether I was finished! Come on. Need to write this restaurant off and drive a little bit to Thai Square. .

Google
This has become one of my all-time favorite restaurants. I come here weekly and they treat me so well. Pad Thai Bangkok is easily one of the best lunch meals in the area.

Google
Probably the best tasting Thai food I had the pleasure of having in Houston. Freshly prepared oozing with flavour. The portions are Texas size and the price can't be beat. Service with a smile and cleanliness second to none. The atmosphere is pleasing and so is the interior decor. I have been here few times before and when in the area during a meal time, this would be my first choice.

Google
Do you normally add 18% gratuity to your bill...they added that to our bill. We were a party of 2 and ordered two dishes and one appetizer. Its not a good standard to start adding your own tips to customers bills. Everything else was great! Thats why im giving it 2 stars instead of 1.

Google
My favorite Thai restaurant in the city. pick up a to go order the other day. ordered the Pad Thai, Penang Curry, Spicy Chili Shrimp, Triple Flavor Fish, and the Crab Meat Cheese Rolls. overall the food was great.

Google
I wasn’t expecting much from this place as it kind of looked like a hole in the wall. We went in as a group of three and we were seated immediately. We ordered the red curry, sweet-and-sour chicken, beef satay, crispy rolls, and a pad Thai. The pad Thai was a lunch special and came with a crispy roll. The crispy rolls were crispy and hot, exactly like they should be. The sauce they were served with was very good. I had asked for the pad Thai to be spicy, but it was too spicy and I couldn’t taste any other flavor but peanuts and chili. I asked for extra cilantro and lime to balance the flavors. The beef satay was fantastic. It has a grill taste and the marinade that was on the beef was packed full of flavor. I didn’t care much for the sauce on the side; it tasted too much like peanuts. The sweet-and-sour was nothing special, it was a typical sweet-and-sour chicken. The red curry was amazing and full of flavor. Ask for it mild- spicy will burn your mouth off. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is worth it. The portions are also very reasonable and filling. Will definitely give it another try maybe for dinner service.

Yelp
I was going through all my old reviews... it's been a while. Nostalgic. But I saw something that wouldn't let me sleep well tonight had I not done the right thing. I, emotionally distressed, gave Thai Siam a 3-star-review, in the midst of Hurricane Harvey. Dick move. Now of clear conscious, I understand they were not responsible for Hurricane Harvey. It was rude of me to assume otherwise. Even a functional clock is wrong twice a day Anyway, I hope they're doing well. Shoutout to the woman who remembered my name after eating there so often... three years ago.

Yelp
Conveniently located next to a Kroger, Thai Siam has ample parking spots, making it a breeze to swing by after a grocery trip. When we visited, it was on a bustling evening, and we were informed on the phone pick up time will be 30min after. Well, the restaurant was buzzing with diners, which is usually a good sign, right? I was definitely proven wrong. - Spicy Fried Rice: Unfortunately, my high expectations were met with disappointment. The spicy fried rice lacked the punch I craved. It was bland more like a timid whisper of spice rather than the bold explosion I anticipated. - Pad Thai with tofu: Alas, the pad Thai followed suit. Its noodles clung together in a lackluster tangle, and the flavors fell flat. The soggy bean sprouts and a sprinkle of crushed peanuts couldn't salvage it. - Tom Yum Soup with shrimps: Ah, redemption! The Tom Yum soup shimmered with aromatic lemongrass, galangal, and chili. The broth danced on my taste buds, warming my soul. But--and here's the twist--the shrimps were a tad overcooked. Perhaps the kitchen was having an off night, or maybe my taste buds were feeling finicky. Regardless, I don't think I will return after the disappointment in their entrees.

Yelp
We eat here all the time the food is very tasty and prices are lower than most Thai Restaurants.. Good portions also I definitely recommend this place.

Yasser H.

Yelp
A subsequent visit was just as rewarding as the first. We ordered the cashew chicken and pad kee mao beef. Cashew chicken 4/5. The presentation was vibrant. Taste was good. Just had to be bit more spicy. I think their spice levels are on the lower side. Pak kee mao 4/5. A nice presented dish. I liked the flavor and a good size serving. Just wanted it more spicier. There was Atleast couple pieces of lettuce in it, which I wasn't sure why? Service was fine. We got our refills promptly. I also saw a sign that said " halal certified" and there was paperwork framed on their wall of their meat supplier.

John B.

Yelp
Tasty Thai food! Great place and very busy. A ton of to-go orders and the restaurant was half full. Always a good sign that the food is good! I had the house salad with their peanut dressing. The dressing was very good! Also ordered the crispy rolls (egg rolls). They were long and thin. I really loved the flavor of the veggies in the rolls. I could probably eat 5 orders of these. The Pad Khing Chicken was really good. If you love fresh ginger, order this dish! It hit the spot.

Mechila B.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time last week and I already want to go back! The crab puffs are a must! I also got the panang curry with cabbage and oh my gosh so good! My gf got the yellow curry and I couldn't help but steal some bites of hers. Everything here was amazing and if you get there between open and 3pm, you can snag the lunch special which was more than enough food for me. I had leftovers!

Randy C.

Yelp
This place has improved with efficiency and more realistic wait times for to go orders. They are a very small restaurant and also very popular. Even though we are no longer living in that area, sometimes we go out of our way to get food from here. I can confidently say this is one of the better Thai restaurants within a 15 mile radius with decent pricing.

Sabbir A.

Yelp
I should have checked the reviews prior to my visit today. It's a completely different scenario from my pre-covid visits. Raised the prices up plus automatic addition of 18% gratuity for 2 people seems simply outrageous! Charging extra for thai spice level as well. Every item you see on the menu has a big markup. Not coming to this place anymore

Katy H.

Yelp
Love the food and friendly staff! Never disappointed in a single dish I've ordered from there! They have something for everyone.

Del F.

Yelp
I once loved this place,?but I vowed never to return. They add a tip to every sit down order. This policy is not posted. I ordered a clay pot dish with medium heat. I complained because it was excessively hot. They said the Chili's were hot on that batch. There was no offer to make a milder version. Even after I complained they ignored my complaint. Never again. I ordered 42 dollars worth of food.

Hieu V.

Yelp
Thai Siam is hands down one of my favorite local restaurants to order on Uber Eats. The pad se ew was cooked to perfection, with tender noodles and perfectly seasoned beef. The red curry was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice to leave a lingering heat on the tongue. The mango sticky rice was a delightful dessert, with the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. The chicken satay was juicy and perfectly charred, with a delicious peanut dipping sauce. And last but not least, the Tom yum soup was absolutely outstanding - a burst of flavor in every spoonful, with tender shrimp and fresh vegetables.

Jordan L.

Yelp
This place is small but busy. It's located in a large plaza so parking is not an issue. This place is a good spot for a quick lunch and their prices are really affordable and every time I eat here I never wait long. I always order their chicken satay skewers, they're juicy, packed with flavor and a good way to start my meal. Their pad thai is so good and the portions are great. Be careful with the spice levels though because they do not play around with spiciness. Their food is consistent and always satisfies my Thai food cravings. I always see a lot of negative reviews about the service. I feel as if the actual reviewers are really impatient or has a different idea of how fast or accommodating a restaurant should be. The staff here are really welcoming! They check in on you literally every 3-5 minutes. The food comes out quickly and as I mentioned before it's always consistent. They're always refilling our beverages and always checking in to see if we need anything or if everything is okay. I always feel comfortable and welcome here. The food is delicious and affordable. The staff is attentive, fast and very friendly.

Momo S.

Yelp
The best Thai food in Houston. Their Panang Curry is my favorite food and the Tom Kha Kai is the most comforting soup. I've been coming here for years and have yet to dislike anything I've tried.

Niha A.

Yelp
I don't get why people leave amazing reviews but then rate 4 stars.... Anyways the food is halal and sooo good. I got chicken pad thai and im literally writing this review as I eat. I got spice level 3 which is actually spicy and the perfect amount of heat. Gotta give credit where it's due!

Humairaa A.

Yelp
My favorite Thai establishment to order pad Thai whenever I'm in town. Incredible pad Thai. My family always enjoy pad kee mao, massuman curry, and green curry. You can never go wrong with any curry. We typically get chicken from here but I've tried beef once or twice. All of the food tastes fresh. Comfort food. Mango sticky rice and coconut icecream are delicious. And the Thai iced coffee is sweet, well balanced .

Linda L.

Yelp
Food is decent and services are good. Thanks to one of the reviews, we did take a look at the receipt before we provided the credit card. For our table of three people, 18% tip was charged on the bill but the waitress didn't mention it at all. After the credit card was brought back, the detailed receipt including the tip was not brought back, just the receipt for us to write in the tip again and the total to sign. If we didn't notice the tip was already charged in the original receipt, we would have added another 20% tip when we sign the receipt. 18% tip added in the bill for a party of 3 was not a common practice but if they explained it well, we don't have a problem with it. However, trying to trick people into tipping twice should be addressed by the restaurant owner/manager. The customers should be treated with respect and honesty.

Marily M.

Yelp
I love Thai Siam! Their lunch special is the best. Why? The Spring rolls are killer. After all these years, it's never changed... it's just great every time. And the cabbage salad with the dressing??? Yes sir. For entrees: all are very solid choices -Pad Thai Shrimp -Pepper Steak -Red Curry Chicken -Pacific Rim Chicken -Basil Chicken Ask for some chili powder flakes - - don't put a lot, it can be spicy. But it adds a lot more spicy smoky flavor to the dish, which I love.

Tracy N.

Yelp
Super small restaurant and super busy. Staff is ok. To call in to-go orders, they're slow. Hate that they charge extra for beef. For the lunch menu, I like that it comes with a salad and a vegetarian egg roll. But don't expect a salad with lettuce, you might get a few bits if iceberg lettuce but mostly cabbage. My favorite dish is the panang curry and I like it super spicy so I always get Thai hot. I've had other panang curries and it would taste super peanutty or peanut buttery and this one does not. Their pad see ew is also good but I hate that they use regular broccoli instead of Chinese broccoli which is what usual traditional Thai pad see ews have. The appetizers - crab meat cheese rolls is pretty good too. Has lots of soft cream cheese with bits of crab meat. The dip that comes with it is a sweet chili sauce.

Claudine V.

Yelp
We have been loyal customers of their Shrimp Pad Thai for years. However, in the last few times, the shrimps were 1000% overcooked. They were DRY, HARD & RUBBERY. They tasted old. While the noodles were excellent, it was still a disappointment. I am begging the owner and the chef to fix the issue. It used to be our favorite Pad Thai.

Kiran C.

Yelp
Great food!!! I recently moved here and I think I found my Thai place here. The food is delicious. We ordered spicy fried rice, Pad ke Mao, and spring rolls. They were all 10/10. I just wish I ordered spicier when the server asked but regardless the flavor was there. The service was super quick. We only waited for 5 minutes and the table was ready. Despite being packed, the service was good and servers were very nice.

Karen 2.

Yelp
the pad thai from here was delicious and a great value for the substantial portion. would overall recommend

Raz A.

Yelp
Food is always great we love the tasty food & excellent customer service Ann & Cloudia & the other staff provide.

Rachel X.

Yelp
We love the food here, and we have come here for years. I had given a 5 star review before, and I'm keeping it there. I'm writing this updated review for the check part, because apparently they added a new policy and we felt tricked tonight. They recently made a change to include 18% tip on their check, but they tried to trick us by not bringing back the receipt with included tip, and just the receipt to write in the tip and total to sign. My husband noticed it was much higher price than he thought (at least $10-15), so after some calculation we decided it wasn't the correct total, and asked for the receipt with detailed breakdown. The new receipt had the total with 18% tip included, which was not a number we had seen when we put the card down. So if my husband didn't pay attention to the total for a brief second, we almost tipped 18% twice which was probably what they wanted. We were positive they did that on purpose, to only bring back the sheet to write tip on, because normally customers get a breakdown of the dishes and prices. Anyways, we felt that was wrong, and our server didn't come back to apologize for the confusion. She wasn't busy but she was no where to be found when we wanted to talk to her about it. So please be careful to double check since they include tips now. We were eating as a party of 3.

Yelp
I've been going to thai siam for probably 8 years now. I've been sick and was craving some warm curry. I ordered takeout, one tom kha (mild) and one red curry (mild). i expressed i wanted them both mild over the phone as i couldn't handle spice with a cough. the lady over the phone asked for a 1-5 spice. i said 1. mild. she repeated the order and my mom went to go pick it up. i open up my food and try the red curry. it's extremely spicy. i'm indian and have been eating extremely spicy food throughout my life but even this was too much for me and my family. i called back to let them know the error and they just mansplained how "even if you said mild you have to say no spice and that sometimes even no spic ends up spicy. we don't control that" and then hung up on me. overall very frustrating because now we have to throw the whole curry out as nobody can eat it. i don't even want a refund, just some acknowledgment would've been nice or maybe a sorry but literally nothing. pretty disappointed

Alyssa E.

Yelp
Food is great and service is great the mango sticky rice is the bomb.com. I also like their curry.

Laura F.

Yelp
Best lunch place in Sugar Land! Great iced tea too. Always fresh and hot. Service is friendly.

Steven L.

Yelp
Known the owners for years from lifetime fitness Visited their restaurant today and was totally blown away by the quality, taste of the foods and service. Owners even treat us to his own homemade coconut ice cream without sugar. If you haven't try you it's a definite must try It's definitely our new favorite Thai restaurant.

Tawanna H.

Yelp
One of the best Thai restaurants in the surrounding Houston area. I typically get the pad Thai, or red curry, larb ghai.

Carly B.

Yelp
I love this place. I've been searching the Houston area for a while for great Pad Thai and I finally found this place. So delicious. The staff is always so friendly too!

Jason D.

Yelp
Ermahgeeeeerd. This was a drive. But this is a drive I'll take any day to come back. It's that good. My coworker and I used to meet up once or twice a month for food, but the pandemic put a stop to social eating for a bit. After a year, we finally had a chance to grab some grubs. This is a smaller joint on a strip off the main road. I can imagine it might get super busy during the rush hours. Staff - was very friendly. They were attentive, stopping by every few minutes to check water and needs. They also had a good handle on the menu and answered questions. Service is important, and they do it well. Starters We started with Todd Mun Pla (fried spicy fish cake), and his was bomb! I'm not normally a fish cake guy, but I would get this every time I come back. The sauce and pairs perfectly with the textures and tastes of the cakes. You'll want it, so get it. As good as that was, the Siam Dumplings were even better. Again, the sauce was great, but also as with the cakes, you don't need it. The dumplings were so flavorful, and the texture was joy. You will eat it, and smile. Mains We went through the menu and put some strategy into what we'd get. She ordered the Summering Seafood, grilled shrimp and scallops on skewers, over a mound of crab fried rice. This came with a side of veggies. The shrimp was good, the scallops and rice were both great. It's flavorful, and good quantity I ordered the GLP Chicken and Shrimp, shrimp and chicken in a spicy garlic lime pepper sauce, over a bed of rice with slaw on the side. Per the menu, this is a their signature dish. It was worth the hype. ERRYTHANG on this plate was yum. I love good rice, and I could eat this on the daily! When we eat we order to share, and we had a snacks-worth left for later. Desserts I ordered the thai tea. I used to love thai tea, then I stopped finding good ones. But this one was refreshingly tasty, and I would get it again . It doesn't have the powdery taste. Very good. We also ordered the Sticky Rice with Mango. It was the best one I've had, hands down. Get it, treat yo self. Verdict Yes. All of it, yes. I would drive from Pearland to Sugarland on repeat for this. The quality, quantity, flavors, textures, and price. The service is excellent. I have a new favorite. I hope you like it too :)

Sara S.

Yelp
This is our go to place for Thai food in Sugar Land. We have a few vegetarian friends and they have the best options. I'm not vegetarian but I even enjoyed their plates. We love the pineapple fried rice and of course pad Thai and Po Taek soup. Mild to medium spicy depending on what you can handle. Don't forget to try their ice cream.

Terri M.

Yelp
Our "to go "to place for Thai-consistently good! Support local! Fairly new addition- cookies- yum!

Breanne M.

Yelp

Mariel B.

Yelp
Ordered Togo for my lunch at work portion was huge taste was amazing I got the pad thai Bangkok extra spicy

Olivia H.

Yelp
This is one of my top favorite restaurants and the best thai restaurant I know! My sister and I love it so much that we drive 20 minutes for it. Their food is always so flavorful and I love how spicy I can make anything I order. We both did a lunch special and my sister got the green curry which she loved. I ordered the basil delight, which is now my favorite thing to get here, it was so delicious! The lunch specials all come with a delicious salad and crispy roll. Affordable prices too, I highly recommend coming here!!

Eliza E.

Yelp
the BEST thai, truly a sugar land staple. My review is longgg over due but the yellow curry and pad thai are to die for every time

Avroz D.

Yelp
Small and busy but best Thai restaurant in Sugar Land, we ordered several items from menu and the food is so delicious that we keep coming back every time we want Thai food, try their coconut drink very good, I like everything but service is lacking they have very limited staff and I see the servers trying their best but I feel the owner needs to add more staff during busy time, ambiance is ok.

Leah M.

Yelp
Best local Thai food ever. I've been coming here for years and the service is always quick and personable. I love their curries, fried rice, crispy crab rolls, and Thai tea. It's usually busy here so I order to go normally but I'll stop in for lunch every now and then.

Jp B.

Yelp
*GLUTEN FREE Yes this is a place you can take care of friend that has celiac's. There is no flour used in the kitchen and they even have almond flour take home cookie treats for purchase, such as butter, cookie and chocolate chips. It is a family run business and the owners are very particular what they share with their clients. That shared, I come here for the food. For over a decade, it has been some of the most delicious Thai food for me. Thai food has no set recipe per se, but can be individually spiced to the family. And that is what they do. Some family members get a very how do you spell others want no spice whatsoever. Some people want some people want shredded cabbage instead of rice, and so on. Delicious and friendly for Vegetarians, kosher, halal and gluten free.

Ali B.

Yelp
Best Thai food. And very tasty and fresh food. All people are nice here. The ambiance is nice to

Fluffy F.

Yelp
Food is good but service has been disappointing especially this one guy who cleans tables or seats the people walking in is rude and always in a pissy mood. Once I asked him if we can sit at another table because the one we were asked to sit at was not clean and he said it was clean. ?! Another time we went he banged the silverware when I told him we were going to have one extra person joining us. This guy needs to be fired!

Chris S.

Yelp
The food is always spot on. It takes a little less never to make it to the table but it's well worth the wait. Their Jasmin tea is incredible.

SaifAli M.

Yelp
Very good food. Our favorite place for dinners with our families, since this is the only thai restaurant that we know of that serves halal food.

Kati R.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, AMAZING FOOD 10/10 recommend if your ever in sugar land. Try the curry chicken and the crab puffs

Filo F.

Yelp
I used to eat often here back in the days when I was single and living in Sugarland . I had not been back since I moved to katy so we decided to have an early dinner after church. I came with hubby and my girls and they loved it . Food was delicious , service was quite fast and the waiters were friendly ..... Will definitely be back!

Stuart P.

Yelp
Great tasting food with very friendly service. The Thai food is authentic and the ingredients are fresh. Best Thai restaurant in Houston

Tommy H.

Yelp
This Thai spot has been here for 23 + years... that should already tell you WHY and HOW GREAT this place is... 23 years of great food and service. The owner still manages to make it out the kitchen and greet us!

Ryan R.

Yelp
My all time favorite Thai place. I highly recommend the papaya salad, pad Thai with any combination of meat, and the yellow curry. Very filling, you will definitely have some to talks home and enjoy for the next day

John P.

Yelp
Good food, good service. Take out was easy. I recommend yellow curry, pad Thai, pad see ew, papaya salad, mango with sticky rice.

Aaisha a.

Yelp
My go to place forever. i hope they continue with the same quality of service and food. Love their thai tea and soups especially because its halal friendly!
