I LOVE this restaurant. A family owned business, Thai Singha was my first exposure to Thai food and remains a favorite. It is quite small and is nestled in a shopping center popular with students from the nearby UCF. I always bring my out-of-town friends here to try their curries.

One of the best Thai food I ever had. We ordered Vegetable Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Tofu Garlic and Garlic rolls. All the dishes were so delicious. I ate Veg. Pad Thai before but the taste I had at Thai Singha and Sushi was so delicious. Staff is friendly and courteous and location is convenient as well. Will definitely visit again.

Terrible service.. they are slow, don't make eye contact or check on you periodically. The restaurant was not even that busy. I had the Rice noodles with soup and they were pretty plain, not much flavor. The golden noodles with chicken and shrimp was a better option in taste and flavor.

Google
I enjoy the food here. The chicken and shrimp wonton soup was flavorful, the tempura shrimp had good texture, and the salmon was fresh and flaky. This is my go-to spot when I visit the shops here.

Google
Really great food! Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and made some great recommendations of the sushi that we should try. Definitely will be back to try even more. And the fried bananas are a must so leave a little room!!

Google
The sushi is awesome. I would give it 5 stars but their wait time is awful. I waited an hour for 4 sushi rolls. I felt like it was a bit much. However, their raw fish isn't beaten to death and pulverized in your roll which I can't stand. They cut their raw fish into nice bite size chunks and the fish taste super fresh. #tryit

Google
THE BEST PLACE TO GET SUSHI IN ORLANDO. The staff is super friendly and the food is phenomenal. Happy hour from 4-6 is the best deal in town to get fresh sushi made right when you order. The level of service is top tier in every regard. 11/10!!! Come check this place out in Waterford.

Google
Had a great dining experience at Thai Singha. Ordered spicy edamame and 4 rolls (wish i remmebered names) but they were all excellent. My favorite was the kyoto roll, but they had a pretty large sushi list so i plan to go try more. They are not the quickest place, even half empty it took a while, but why rush dinner? They also have indoor and outdoor seating.

We found this gem, after another establishment decided they didn't want to serve my wife and I, and we are so glad they did, because we would've never came to Thai Singha and Sushi!! This place has amazing food, and the servers were so helpful and attentive. We had sushi and soup, and everything was wonderful. I will highly recommend this place if you are looking for delicious food and a friendly staff, when I visit Orlando again, I will certainly be back!!

Yelp
So we hear about this $3 happy hour that this place runs, and we decide to come here to check it out while we're killing time before our movie. We also talk about how this place used to be like, two places? But it seems like they've consolidated everything into one storefront. Sushi and Thai in the same building. I can dig it. We see that the sushi rolls available to us are only four to six pieces, so we decided to order six of them to share between us. We organized the six rolls into three tiers of goodness. The Cajun and the Hot Mama were ok. One tasted like rice with crawfish, and the other tasted like rice with some fish and wasabi in it. The Mexican and the Hollywood were both a little bit better. I liked the amount of jalapeno in the Mexican. I've not had that before in sushi. The Hollywood was ok, too. I like the krab salad on top. Always a favorite of mine. The best rolls we ordered were the Crunch Eel and the Crunchy Salmon. Eel is such a delicious meat, and the chopped salmon mixed up with the crunch of the tempura flakes was so good. So good. The Crunchy Salmon was actually a roll I'd be happy receiving in a more upscale sushi restaurant. Also, the eel sauce here was a little thinner and a little sweeter than I've encountered before. I liked it a lot. It wasn't like better than traditional eel sauce, but it was different, and I always respect different. Overall, the atmosphere was comfortable, the service was great, and the price was right. If I ever have a huge hankering for some sushi and only have like $20, I'd come here again.

Yelp
At first glance, the $3 Happy Hour menu seems almost too good to be true. $3 beer, sake, nigiri, and rolls? Sign me up! Alas, it was not to be. The rolls seemed waaaay too small -- almost laughably so. I had the Cajun, Crunch Eel, and Salmon Nigiri. Usually, that would have filled me up, but I definitely could have ordered more. They were extremely tasty though; probably some of the best I've had in this area. The fish was fresh and the flavors all worked really well. My favorite was the Cajun! Service was decent. The waitress didn't seem to really be familiar with the menu and only came by to check up on us once. She also messed up our orders -- however, she fixed it when they came out. So no biggie. Atmosphere seemed nice. The restaurant is divided into two separate restaurants -- Kirin Sushi and Thai Singha. So know which one you want. lol. Kirin had more of a stereotypical atmosphere with warm pan-Asian earth tones and bamboo accents. It made you feel at home, but it also did not leave an impression. Space is limited. The tables near the wall seat only two people and there are only a few tables near the front for larger groups. There's also bar seating. Overall, I would probably return here. If you're in the mood to try different kinds nigiri or rolls, I definitely recommend the Happy Hour menu. But if you know what you want, just order straight off the menu. :)

Yelp
This place is alright. The server made me feel uncomfortable though but I guess I understand since it was around closing time... Actually no I don't, she was just rude. Went here on Monday for their happy hour specials. 4-6 pieces per $3 roll. I guess that's fair. I ate my food up! It was decent. My boyfriend didn't like his chicken tempura roll though (but seriously who eats chicken sushi he's such a weirdo). I would come back, I just hope to have the other waitress. She was a lot nicer. **** UPDATE I came back another day for lunch and ended up waiting for about 40 minutes for my sushi. Service was absolutely terrible. I also ordered pad Thai and it was unusually pink and sweet. I asked for some chilli sauce and my server didn't bring it until after she brought the check. I'm sorry but she was a dunce. Definitely not how I wanted to spend my afternoon, especially when I was hungover. I'm just gonna skip this place all together. NEXT

Yelp
Came during the happy hour special where you get 3 dollar rolls and wine. I got the Mexican roll, shrimp tempura, and crunch tuna. Each roll was very very tasty. We also tried the plum wine and it was one of the best I tried. The only problem I would say is the slow service. But overall, I would recommend and go back.

Yelp
We ordered food today through a delivery service and the food could have not been any more tasteless, greasy and unappetizing. We ordered four sushi rolls and non of them were worth the prices.

Yelp
Came for lunch because I had a groupon. It was my first time having their sushi and it was just ok. Nothing special. I've had their Thai food a few times and always enjoy it. Their seaweed salad was a little off to me as well. What knocked it down to 3 stars for me this trip was the fact that one of the employees brought put silverware to start wrapping them. But proceeded to add them to a container with piping hot water and then made all this clattering noise while she did it. Not exactly what you want to see/hear when you are trying to enjoy your lunch.

Yelp
I really love this place. It's a small space and the service can be slow but if you aren't in any rush the sushi is the best on this side of town. Even their won-ton soup is incredible. Its a great place with a wide range of dishes. Definitely worth the visit!

Yelp
Sitting in the little dark hallway waiting for to go dish. I was told 15-20 minutes but her I sit 28 minutes later--in a restaurant that's practically empty. But time was short so I came here. And now it feels like a mistake. The food is more than adequate but not life changing. It's nice that Kirin Sushi and Thai Signha share a kitchen--this way I can get sushi and green curry. Yum. The restaurant is clean. And the staff is friendly. The only down side is that they have misjudged how long the order would take. I have 4 other stops, and if I'd known that I had a half hour wait then I would have used my time differently.

Yelp
I've had the sushi here a couple of times and I'm not blown away by it. It's edible it's just not incredible. Recently we had the baby octopus which was good- it was a bit chewy as expected and tasted like the flavors of seaweed salad. We also ordered the Emperor Roll which was not even the prince in comparison. It lacked the crunch of the tempura flakes it was said to contain. The roll was small in girth and made for a small appetizer for a party of 2. We've had a few of the other role before and I have to say we'd rather order from its connecting sister restaurant Thai Singha. The service was great and friendly so they won a star back in my book. Luckily no matter where you sit (either side) you can order from both kitchens.

Yelp
Inconsistent Service and they Torched My Tongue! Seriously I have been to this place twice and have been both delighted and disappointed both times. The first time dining I opted for take out, ordering Tuna Tataki and a simple Double Eel roll. The server was amazing, he sat with me and answered every single question i had about the menu and the items, which probably took a good fifteen minutes of ordering time, and he didn't show any sign of annoyance, which I certainly would have by then! I mean it was is patience that had me coming back to try a different dish, because while the Tataki was enjoyable even for the hefty price, the Eel roll was completely inedible. The bones in eel are supposed to be undetectable, however they were scraping my mouth and my throat with each bite. The second time eating here, I came in to dine at the bar. We were one of two couples sitting at the bar, the others already had their food, and only 3 other couples remained in the entire place which seats only about 7 tables total. Half had their meals. Within the twenty minutes sitting there, we were only approached to ask if the plates they were bringing out were ours...we still were sitting looking at menus and hadn't even been able to order drinks. Still craving sushi we finally were able to order: Edamame, Tuna Kobachi (Medium), Almond Joy Roll, Double Eel and the Rainbow. The Kobachi was certainly not made medium, for the blazing red sauce was so thick and heavy that it made my date which is an avid spicy eater almost running for the door. The chef finally saw how badly we were trying to suffer through it and offered to remake it, only he put it a bit less spicy but back on the same bed of greens drenched in the prior death sauce, so it still left us chugging our teas. The Almond Joy roll was simply to die for and has me craving it to this day. It's a perfect mixture of bliss and tantalizing flavors. The Double Eel roll was far better, which is an all-time favorite of mine, the simplicity of never ending eel, and no bones were found. The Rainbow, which I can always leave behind for I feel it doesn't really do sushi justice, was just ordered as a favorite of my date. He seemed to enjoy it, but certainly not as much as the delights that I ordered. All in all, I'm still up in the air with Kirin Sushi. I think next time I'll order the Ninja, Beauty/Beast, Kobachi, Edamame, Double Eel and Almond Joy...but All to-go, and see how it goes from there! I certianly would fear coming into this place during a rush hour!

Yelp
I love sushi, I hate seaweed. Quite the dilemma you see. Le sigh, what to do, what to do. Well, I will be coming back to Kirin Sushi, that's what I'll do. My husband is the huge sushi/sashimi lover. I go along for the ride. Wherever we go, I order my roll with soy paper. They usually deliver me a loosely rolled contraption that falls apart when trying to eat with chopsticks. Not here. The roll was decent sized, had just enough rice vs. fish and other ingredients, was tightly rolled, and did not fall apart. I loved the rolls I had here. Since it was my first time here, I wasn't overly adventurous. I had a vegetarian roll and a Philly roll. Both good in my opinion. We also had an order of fried gyoza (you can get steamed too) and it was really good here! I do not eat pork so the fact that they used chicken was excellent in my book. It was flavorful and delicious! I highly recommend it. My husband ordered a dinner special that consisted of a bowl of rice and a plate of 8 pieces of nigiri and 8 pieces of sashimi, salad, and miso soup for about $22. He said for the price it was a good value because the pieces were just the right size. One bonus of being attached to Thai Singha is that you can get mango and sticky rice for dessert! Not the best I've ever had, but overall good. The mango was ripe and the rice good. Overall a good experience.

Yelp
* Fantastic sushi; tragically underrated on Yelp ** This is our favorite sushi restaurant in Orlando. I do not understand why Yelp reviewers seem to love the so-so Thai food at the Thai Singha sister restaurant next door and denigrate some of the best sushi available. We sit in the large, attractive dining room of the Thai side and order the fresh, delicious sushi, sweet ginger salad, light, crispy tempura and aromatic miso from Kirin next door. Maybe people expect more fried rolls or exotic looking concoctions these days, but I challenge anyone to try the tangy, crispy Piranha tempura eel roll, or the simple, Siracha-accented Hot Mama, or the generous Kyoto roll and not come away impressed. Service is consistently prompt and courteous, and the prices are reasonable as well. Five easy stars for Kirin Sushi.

Yelp
One word: disappointment. I didn't have high expectation but I figure hey it is close from my place why not try it. The place is centrally located in a busy area yet it wasn't as busy as expected. The restaurant is connected to a Thai restaurant. The reason I gave them the one star is due to the following: Customer service: horrible. I would give it a 0/5. No one greeted us when we came in yet there were only two other customers there. After awhile a host came out of the Thai restaurant and told us to sit. He disappear for another 10 minutes and didn't give us a menu. We finally got the menu and waited another 10 minutes to put in the order. (We should have left). We finally got our food but they had forgot one of the roll. Food: The roll came out loosely roll and the sushi rice was so dry. They also use cheap ingredient (fake crab). The fish didn't taste fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Yelp
You don't have far to go to find a place with sushi rolls that are larger and better, for the same price. Comparatively, you'll have a better experience across the street at the sushi bar of Fuji Sushi (review http://www.yelp.com/biz/fuji-sushi-and-teppan-japanese-cuisine-orlando#hrid:_aIdOXtRXJ3NhXQHr2EKtA) at a similar price point. That's not to say that this place is bad. It's not. But I've said it before and I'll continue saying it: With as many sushi restaurants as there are in the greater Orlando area, if you want to stand out then *something* has to be memorable. Average quality, average value, and average decor is not going to bring people back when they have so many other options.

Yelp
Kirin was one of the first sushi/thai places I started going to years ago and they've never dissappointed me. Consistant rolls and an AWESOME sushi happy hour. You can find about 20 rolls from the menu on the happy hour list... 6 generous peices for $3 bucks! Two of my favorite rolls that happen to be on the happy hour menu are: * Cajun roll - Spicy crawfish, jalapenos, cucumber, topped with chili sauce. Hoooooyah! Laissez les bons temps rouler!! * Mexican roll - Tempura shrimp, cream cheese, jalapenos, avocado, drizzled with spicy mayo (but not too much). Also has an excellent kick... I really love jalapenos in sushi rolls!

Yelp
So, this is our go-to sushi joint. Everyone has one. This is ours. Pro-tip, bring a jacket b/c it's COLD in the sushi of the restaurant, which is exactly how you want it :) Here's the thing about Kirin: always super fresh, always great craftsmanship on the rolls. Our go-to rolls are Piranha, Geisha and Hot Mama. Kyoto, Emerald and Emperor sometimes. We've never been to happy hour. Always get ginger salad, and it's wonderful with fresh spring greens and ginger. Always get miso which uses white miso, and it's amazing.

Yelp
Anyone who writes a bad review of this place is crazy. I come here about once a week. I always get the Sumo Roll. I've had many a conversation with Jenny, the owner, and her brother who makes the sushi. I am never let down. The service is impeccable and friendly. I will continue going here for as long as they are open.

Yelp
Kirin is a cozy little spot in a corner of Waterford Lakes. It's attached to Thai Singha (there's an archway between the two), and I wouldn't be surprised if you could order off either menu, but I haven't seen anything mentioning it either way. I'd be happy coming here if only for the decor. The paintings of blossoms and koi just make me happy. Service here is friendly and quick. It's a pretty small restaurant though, and you may have trouble if you're coming here with a large group.. Rolls are pretty nicely sized and everything we've tried has been delicious. While it's not sushi, my favorite thing on their menu is actually their ginger tea - easily the best I've ever had. We hadn't been here in years, but as our regular spots had all gone downhill, we decided to try Kirin again. We hadn't avoided them because of quality - they're very good. We had chosen to go elsewhere because of the prices. I wouldn't go so far as to call them expensive, but they are definitely a little pricier than everywhere else in the area. For that slightly higher price, you'll get what's probably the best sushi in the area though.

Yelp
A disappointing experience in a dirty restaurant. After waiting more than 45 minutes for two sushi rolls, my friend and I walked out. We sat at the sushi bar which is bordered on all sides by the fish display / refrigeration unit. You are looking directly at it while sitting at the bar. The display was topped with some sort of disgusting flaky yellow film. While waiting we observed prepared, plated sushi rolls sitting on the top of the display unit for more than 30 minutes before being served to one of the tables. A woman next to us at the bar waited over 20 minutes to pay her check. Toward the end, she asked the sushi chef to find someone to bring her the check. The sushi chef replied, "You should probably just walk out. They (the service) are terrible." At which point we decided to leave. We went a few doors down to the pizzeria at the corner of the plaza and had a great meal. I know that yelp is mostly just a scam to get business owners to pay yelp advertising fees in hopes of removing bad reviews from the site. Kirin Sushi must be paying the fees or gaming reviews. There is no way in hell this restaurant earns a near 4 star review on its own. The service is terrible, the cleanliness suspect, and the food - well- I'm glad I didn't get served anything.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
This review is for the sushi only. I have not had any of the other menu items. I do consider myself a bit of a food snob but especially when it comes to sushi. I will take quality over quantity when it comes yo Audi any day. Kirin has some of the freshest fish I've tasted. I know Orlando is a chain restaurant city and that is especially true for east Orlando. This little hole in the wall at Waterford Lakes has fresh sushi and friendly service. The only reason I am withholding a fifth star is because of their "happy hour sushi." $3.00 rolls from a limited menu. However the rolls are about half the size of a regular roll. Ordering off the regular sushi menu I think is a better value.

Yelp
Felt Rushed The Entire Time Throughout My Dining Experience. Terrible Service As Well. NEVER Recieved ANY Refills On My Beverage. Sushi Roll Wasn't Prepared Correctly Either. When Questioned About The Missing Ingredients I Got Ignored !!!!

Yelp
We come here all time during happy hour which is great. Tues-Sun 4-6 and all day Monday. $3 sushi rolls and bogo 50% entrees. We come here for the volcano roll, hollywood roll, mexican roll and the crunchy tuna roll. The volcano chicken and chicken pad thai is great when we are feeling thai food instead. We personally receive great service, they recognize us as regulars and treat us as such. No complaints here.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
Happy hour rolls are only $3... And you get what you pay for. Poor service and mediocre sushi at best. The only good thing is the price.
google avatar

Nathan A.

Yelp
It was difficult to choose between 3 and 4 stars. The seared tuna tataki is really delicious with a light ponzu and sesame sauce. My friend loves the nigeri although I thought it was bland. I despise the fake crab even in a california roll. Avoid weird special rolls like the volcano roll which is topped with a fake crab seafood surprise. The philly and spicy tuna rolls though are well prepared and fresh. There was a "fishy" smell to my volcano roll which I suspect was from the nori. Fresh fish should never smell fishy which is a warning. The lunch specials offer some great deals: 2 rolls and a small side for under $10. They've expanded the restaurant; so that indicates they have plenty of business which is always a good sign for any sushi restaurant. The wait staff were quick and courteous, however the dishes arrived slow with only 1 sushi chef.

Yelp
This place is horrible, me and my girlfriend went for dinner. The lady threw the menu on the table walked away as we were at the door walking in no service for 5 to 10 mins for drinks finally got to order drinks and then she dropped them off an ran away again. They don't handle things correctly and we ended walking out would not recommend no stars if I could

Yelp
I love that I have so many options to choose from when it comes to sushi restaurants in the UCF/Waterford lakes area. Among them all is Kirin Sushi, which is directly connected to Thai Singha (I'm pretty sure they're owned by the same person). Kirin features many of the same items that you'll find at most sushi places and doesn't really serve anything that sets them apart from the rest. However, I can assure you that they are one of the better ones in the area. The spicy tuna and veggie tempura are my favorite things to order here. Their rolls are average size, but their sashimi, in my opinion, is a bit small and not worth the price. The Japanese dishes are delicious and come in big portions which makes for good left overs. To get the scoop on their partner, Thai Singha, read up on my review. :)

Yelp
It's lunch time on a Saturday. Their lights are all turned off inside. Service is slow to nonexistent. Employees talk in their language (loudly) as a light rock station plays in the background. Soup is luke warm and sushi is meh. You feel like your in a weird 90's on the outskirts of town sushi restaurant and your there last customer.
google avatar

Miranda G.

Yelp
This place has terrible food. The rolls have barely any fish in them, they're all rice and the vegetable tempura was inedible. Don't waste your money

Jennifer S.

Yelp
I love their food. Their garlic roll is the best! However, we had a really nice waitress, but.. another waitress continued to ask us if we were ready to order, 4 different times!! After we just told the first waitress we wanted to have a couple of beers then order. Which she was fine with..We were celebrating a recent accomplishment and would have liked to relax a little bit. The "other waitress" made us very uncomfortable when she continued to ask us if we wanted to order. So uncomfortable that we had to leave. It was very disappointing. Their service sucks, but their food is fantastic. I would suggest to order the food to go.
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
Run, don't walk, away from this establishment. Tried to eat there last night and we walked in the "sushi" side.. was told to exit and go sit on the Thai side of the restaurant. We were given filthy dirty menus, at a table where the walls were covered in filth (looked like a Coke exploded?), and were left for 10 minutes while a table that was sat AFTER us was helped. We couldn't even order because even though we asked when we were sat about the Monday night Sushi Roll special, the menus we were given did not have the appropriate list of which rolls fell under this promo. Most distressing part -- no one raised an eyebrown when our table got up to leave. Must happen all of the time.
google avatar

Faryn A.

Yelp
Had the bagel and spicy tuna roll in the lunch special. Very basic mediocre quality, but each roll was 8 fairly large pieces.
google avatar

Evy F.

Yelp
Was not disappointed at all, especially when I went there during happy hour which was Mon-Sun from 4-6pm. $3 sushi!! We order 4 sushi rolls, cajun (spicy), mexican, shrimp tempura, and bagel sushi. All were delicious and were 6 pieces each roll. Service was great, we didn't wait long to get our order in and the food came out quite timely and I will definitely come here again.

Yelp
My sushi experiences here have been pretty good as far as the quality of the food goes but I've had 2 pretty awkward situations while trying to dine in with 2 different servers. The 1st time was several months ago, my girlfriend and I stopped in the afternoon, server greets us at door asks how many, we say "2" she leads us to a table, and right when you'd expect her to put the menus down she looks at us and says "we close in 30min". I look around the restaurant and there are several tables with patrons that look like they are either waiting to order or waiting for their food. So, I continue to my seat and she is still looking at us holding the menus, she then asks "is that ok?" .... I asked her "Well are you open now?" & she answers " Yes, but we close in 30min and reopen at 4 or 5pm (I cant remember exact time). So, I asked her if she preffered that we just came back when they reopen and she gives me this strange smirk and slightly nods. Meanwhile I can see at least 5 tables with customers watching this conversation take place and everyone has a blank look like "Really?" So, we just politely said ok and went somewhere else. The whole thing was super weird so we didn't go back for a long time. The next time we wanted to give it a shot, we ordered our rolls for pick up and ate at home. No complaints, it was really good. Last month in June 2016 we decided to try dining in again and had another super awkward experience with one of the servers and ended up just getting the check and leaving after ordering our 1st round of beer and 1 app. To read about that experience just check out the last review before mine as that is my girlfriend and she was there with me. When we go out for sushi we usually order at least 3-4 rounds of drinks and a decent amount of rolls and apps. Those 2 times that our visits were cut short was at least $200 of business for them that they just let walk away solely based on poor customer service. I suggest only ordering take out from here as the food is actually pretty good. On the other hand the service is so bad I can only give one star

Yelp
Decided to try this restaurant, as it is super close to my house. It's very small and cramped inside. There are lots of tables and no space to really walk. There to-go station is basically one step away from knocking over a seated customers dinner. I had to keep moving out of the way for the waitress and other customers to get by. The customer service was horrible. I wasn't not greeted and had to find the to-go menu myself. When I asked about certain Sushi rolls the lady pointed to the menu I had in my hand and said "they are all in there". So I ended up ordering a shrimp tempura roll for $6.95 and a side of Miso soup for $2. I waited about 20 minutes and was able to observe the service for the seated guests. There was a couple who was already seated when I arrived and it was clear they were ready to order. No one came to take their order until about 15 minutes after I had been waiting. Other guests were also flagging down waitresses constantly when they needed something or the check. I finally got my order and took it home to find not only the smallest roll ever (it had about 8 tiny pieces) in a small sized to go box but also cold Miso soup that tasted like salt and water ! There was also a long strand of hair stuck inside the top of my styrofoam to-go box. Never again will I order from this place.

Lynne S.

Yelp
Eh not bad. Service not great either, but close to home. Can't sit at the sushi bar even though there is a Sushi chef there, until later in the pm when the dining room is full. They also close between lunch and dinner and if you're not careful and come for a late lunch or an early dinner, you may be left waiting.

Yelp
Sat at the bar, had 3 rolls with my boyfriend, the almond joy, cobra and happy family. All were delicious, we also used a groupon now, which helped to cover their tasty dessert, a sticky rice with thai custard on top.

Yelp
Service seriously lacking and super rushed. There were only 2 tables of people and we were pushed and rushed out the door. We asked for a few minutes to decide on what to eat and the waitress came back every minute asking if we were ready. It was annoying and the food was just as poor. Skip it!

Yelp
We had the rainbow and happy family rolls and green tea. The rainbow roll was best. It was a bit mushy. The happy family roll did not have much fish. It was mostly filler ingredients. The green teas were thick as milkshakes and nothing like teas I am usually accustomed to drinking. The taste was off. I am not sure what's up with milk shake like tea. Nevertheless, it was a very average meal.

Yelp
If there was lower than one star that's what they would get. We sat down after being motioned to seat ourselves. Then the waitress quickly walked by and threw the menus on the table without breaking stride. So, we left.

Yelp
After shopping around in Waterford Lakes I found this neat little spot around the corner from Best Buy & figured sushi would be a perfect way to end my day. Although a bit pricey for my liking I ordered the Ninja sushi roll for around $9. It was rolled in eel & salmon served with eel sauce ( yummoo) Service was prompt so no complaints on my end.

Yelp
Sushi is not AMAZING but for the happy hour price it's pretty good. Portions are indeed small which is sad, but the rolls have great flavor combinations and are fresh and yummy. When I went it was busy and customer service was friendly and fast. :) I will probably return again at some point.

Yelp
HORRIBLE service!!! I will never go back. Food is good along with the sushi but the service makes me lose my appetite. Twice we have gone to this place about an hour and half prior to closing and we've been pushed away. They will not seat you if they are closing within 1-2 hours. They say take out only. That is just rude and lazy and unheard of. I was just at a sushi bar last night and noticed they were still seating people at closing time. Now that's a restaurant that wants to keep there customers! Brace yourself for a rude staff.

Yelp
I visited Kirin Sushi on a Friday night at 6PM. The dining room was about 80% full and we were seated right away. I tried a sushi roll and the Penang Curry with Shrimp. Both were delicious. I liked that they offer soy sauce and low-sodium soy sauce. Also, the Curry was spicey, but not too spicey, so I could taste the flavor of the vegetables and creamy sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant. Prices are fair, service was good on this Friday night. If it's your first time there, it can be hard to locate in the Waterford Lakes plaza. Here's how -- if you're looking at the movie theaters, drive to the far left side of the entire Waterford Lakes plaza.

Yelp
Maybe I was here on the wrong day but I have never had such a poor sushi experience in my life. My sashimi looked like it had been sliced several hours prior. The edges of some pieces were crusty. I sent it back and left.

Yelp
I had been here before and it was good, so when I saw the groupon I thought it was a good idea. WRONG!! I could only order from a few very specific items because everything else was on "special." So I ordered two rolls. Then I waited and waited and waited. It took half an hour to make two rolls, and it was not crowded at all. I was already ticked about that and got home and sat down to eat my sushi. But when I opened the box, it smelled funny to me. Not bad really, but just funny. So I did not even eat it. I was really disappointed.

Yelp
Never have I been more disappointed in a sushi restaurant. The server was not kind, and the service was very slow. Probably the most bland sushi I've ever tasted.

Yelp
There are so many mixed reviews on here so at first I was hesitant, but they had a great groupon offer going on so I decided to just give it a shot and I'm so happy I did! I've been looking for good, fresh, sushi in Orlando and I finally found that here! I'll deff be going back. I had the sumo and Philly, both raw, and wasn't disappointed at all. They also have a great $3/roll happy hour special! The server was great and was always checking on my friend and I too!

Yelp
I came here last week and orders 3 rolls. Im not a picky eater and any type of sushi makes me happy. Well this place made us so unhappy, I'm giving it one start because I have too. I bought the sushi 10 minutes before they close for lunch so we left home to eat it. The sushi was so over cooked, this has been the worst sushi I've ever had. I couldn't even eat it I had to throw it away. So I called them to tell them they were so rude to me and they said to put the sushi in the fridge and bring it back whenever I can and did not apologize. I definitely don't recommend this place. DO NOT GO THERE!!! Food is bad and the service sucks!!

Yelp
The best I've ever had! As a regular, I can confidently say that their sushi is consistently fresh. Tucked away in Waterford Lakes, it is hands down Orlando's finest. With unbeatable happy hour prices, it's almost a sin for any sushi lover not to attend.
