I ordered the BBQ noodles soup with chicken, and it didn't come with ANY chicken, any veggies, or anything besides noodles and broth! The hot and sour soup was too sour and lacked flavor, and the customer service when I ordered ahead on the phone was completely complacent and unenthusiastic at BEST, and after having ordered 3 soups to feed hungry workers at my house, 45.00 later and I had little to nothing to show for it. Standards have dropped SIGNIFICANTLY since the last time I was here about a year ago, and after this experience, I will surely NOT COME BACK. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!! FOOD IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO BE WASTED ON BEING RIPPED OFF! *update* After reviewing the contents of my order, I can confirm that PART of my order was correct. However, my order was NOT complete, and still highly unsatisfactory and not worth almost $50.00. Furthermore, I don't appreciate being called "a liar" as that is also inaccurate, as much as the incomplete order! The fact that the mentality of the owner is to attack the customer instead of providing customer service to SOLVE the problem and make it right and value a good experience and a happy customer, just further proves my point! They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE COSTUMER, AND THAT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND BUSINESS IS BETTER SPENT ANYWHERE ELSE!

Google
Thai Spice is one of the best Thai restaurants in Eugene. The menu is authentic, and there’s so many options. Every time I go there, I’m always glad I did. Never disappointed. You can choose to enjoy the weather outside if it’s nice, or inside among the other patrons enjoying their day.

Google
This restaurant has great quality home-style cooking and I love to come here for the atmosphere of the area. The front staff is kind and he helped me customize my food to my liking. Thanks Thai Spice!

Google
Food taste amazing but they literally gave us half the food with our take out order. Look at the beef compared to the chicken. And there was even less curry. Also paid $2 to add carrots to the curry, no carrots. Now I have to figure out how to feed 3 people with only enough for maybe 1.5 people. I guess you shouldn’t order 2 hours before closing because they have obviously stop caring at that point in their day.

Google
Thai Spice. Is one of my favorite restaurants to go Eat. I love the avocado curry, pad see Ew, veggie dumplings.totally recommend to stop by, also Really friendly customer service.

Google
Well if I wanted some water and spice , I could have made this myself. I honestly wanted to like this place but this is by far the worse Thai food in Eugene. There is absolutely no flavor in the broth , it literally taste like puré water and chile peppers. Don’t even get me started on the Pad Thai either ! These pictures say it all ! Do yourself a favor and walk away !

Google
Food was delicious and came out in a reasonable time. Music was also playing which made the experience overall really good. I got the Panang Curry with pineapple and it was delicious!

Miss Cool

Google
Pretty good. Kinda overpriced though. Fried rice with shrimp = $16 before taxes and portion size is kinda tiny

Yelp
Friendly service and pretty fast too. At first I found the beef a little bit fatty or grisly or something, but in the end, the tastiness of the dish won me over. This place is in the food court on the 2nd floor of 5th St market, over Provisions.

Yelp
The duck fried rice was delicious and had some pieces with skin on it. Super delicious!!!

Yelp
Decent Thai spot in the upstairs food hall. Good experience. Alright portions. Fast tho the whole place was slow so wasn't a busy day. Like these food halls for the variety of choices. But on mondays most are closed.

Yelp
Thai spice has amazing curry! We had yellow curry with shrimp and red curry with chicken. We got it hot level which was a little spicer than I thought it would be so next time I think I'll get the "mild" level (I love spice too) but I'd like to be able to enjoy it without sweating while I'm eating ! The service was friendly and amazing as well as the dining area was very clean and well kept. It closed a little too early the whole place does so keep that in mind so as not to feel rushed when eating. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be going again!

Yelp
Delicious! Tofu protein option for any dish. Not so spicy you cant enjoy. Not so expensive you can never come back, still with Portions plenty for two... And Thai Tea! Located inside the 5th Street Market Food Court area, so can be bustling and noisy enough its not easy to talk with company over the meal, but I have never had a hard time finding somewhere to sit. Will be back!

Yelp
Thai spice brought the spice. It was amazing nice and spicy Tom Yum was the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of Tom yum.

Hailey S.

Yelp
Cashier was super friendly and kind. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp. I've had a lot of pad Thai and this one was by far the best. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Stopped in after a bike ride to get some food before hanger set in but was rather disappointed by seeing the chief (with gloves on) eat some food with her hands, lick her fingers, and then started cooking food without changing gloves. It wouldn't be so bad if she was just stirring stuff but no, she reached right in and grabbed ingredients and started cooking and preparing food. Sure come good gets cook so any germs get cooked and killed BUT she also wrapped rolls with the same gloves. less than awesome. The 2 stars is because the pad se ew was actually good. Maybe it was hunger but it wasn't overly sweet and had a good fish-saucy flavor. Can't really see myself coming back here though. =/

Yelp
If you are considering eating at 5th street eatery in Eugene Oregon, then Thai Spice is a MUST TRY! I stumbled upon Thai Spice and it was sooo worth it! The yellow curry has an even balance of spice and peanut sauce while the steamed rice is fresh. Their portions are perfect. And the ginger tea was great for the overcast day .

Yelp
Great food! Every time I come to Eugene I eat here. Great people, nice, fast, can't say enough - just try it!
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
The food here is incredible, everything I've ever ordered from here has always exceeded my expectations. I don't think i've been anywhere locally that packs so much wonderful flavor in every bite. The Pineapple Fried rice is incredible with Chicken. The food always comes out quick, and the customer service is great. This has to be one of Eugene's best Thai spots.

Dean W.

Yelp
I had the Massaman Curry with Chicken and Spring Rolls. The additional spice tray even had Diced Thai Chili's, which I hardly ever find available. Everything was Delicious, Rich and Flavorful.
google avatar

Erin E.

Yelp
Was in the area and wanted some Thai food figured I'd give it a try again. Same story, small portions little veggies but tasted good. Prompt service was a plus tho!

Yelp
This is my favorite place to eat at 5th street. I go here every Monday and Wednesday after I'm done with my class at Lane. The owner is from Bangkok her and her crew are amazing. They work together to make every dish look and task great. I've had the Pad Thai and its so good I've been to Chiang Mai and it's like going back there. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great lunch or even dinner.

Jenn D.

Yelp
Food was decent but service could improve. Took more than 15 minutes for fast food place and then assistant/cashier pounced on me when I asked when food would be ready.
google avatar

Yelp
There are several excellent choices for Thai cuisine in Eugene. Thai Spice is a simple solution when you are in a hurry and looking for very good Thai. The soup I had was excellent. A generous portion with a tasty spicy broth. Great noodles. Fresh vegetables. Much more than you might expect from a food court venue. Cooked to order. A great choice.
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
I feel like the prices at Thai Spice are about $1 more per dish than other Thai spots in town, but I attribute that to operating costs since they are located at the 5th Street Market. In trade though, you get large portions and fast service. There is a self serve water station and spices/condiments at the counter. ** Tom kha noodle soup - very good flavor, heavy on the noodles, skimpy on the protein (chicken) ** Pineapple fried rice - I didn't taste it, but my husband gobbled it up so must've been good

Ethan D.

Yelp
If zero stars were an option they would get it. Incredibly rude staff and even worse food. Got the spice level second from the bottom but it was incredibly hot and I'm not a beginner to spice. When I tried to resolve the issue the staff was very dismissive and combative and purposely made their second try even worse with zero flavor at all. At all. Worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to in the world and I got food poisoning in Thailand.
google avatar

Joey H.

Yelp
Located inside the 5th street market. Ordered a chicken pad thai, was well cooked but a touch too sweet and the color is very bland looking. Flavor would be good if they laid off the sweet. Could use a wedge of lime. Thai ice tea, funny thing is... This was not sweet enough for me! Not bad thai spot if your in the market though.

G C.

Yelp
We always have a meal here when visiting Eugene. The food is excellent. The service is friendly but this time the portions were shockingly small for $20 per dish. If the portion sizes were bigger I would give them 4 stars but we were left feeling a bit ripped off.

Angelika R.

Yelp
Mortified. They handle the food with bare hands. The cashier who touched his hair the register and then stood next to the chef who dropped some food in the side of the plate....the cashier then put the dropped food onto the plate and served it to the customer.... Needless to say I didn't order. No one in the kitchen handling the food wore gloves and touched several unclean surfaces...

Yelp
Fast and freshly made. Some great lunch deals to be had for $8.50. The Pad Thai and Larb were tasty and just the right spicy. Prawns were cooked just right and some good duck meat (not all skin and fat). The Thai Basil Kra Pow was disappointing in the fact the portion was so small in comparison to the other dishes for the same price. Was tasty but left still feeling hungry. Just 1 Thai Basil leaf as part of the dish! Good food, just need a rethink on some of the portions.
google avatar

Alba S.

Yelp
Was going to order. However, the guy taking and handling the food was not wearing a mask.
google avatar

Lily Y.

Yelp
Went over for a quick and easy pickup, they got the order done early without any wait time and overall just seemed friendly! They had a wide variety of foods on the menu, I ended up choosing the green papaya salad which was absolute delicious. They give you the option to choose how hot you want it as well, perfect for those who enjoy spicy as well as more mild tastes.
google avatar

Erin V.

Yelp
So delicious! Best Thai food in town! Everything arrived hot, perfectly seasoned and delicious!!!
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
The staff were all pretty nice, but only because they were at work. It was clearly somewhat of an act. The food was pretty good though! The pad Thai was a bit sweet, and dried pepper is used to spice it up instead of fresh chilies. I had the avocado curry, and it was delicious! The avocado was an awesome touch, and cooled the curry down just enough for me to wolf it down and be super satisfied. I would come here again if I'm ever in the neighborhood just for the curry.

Yelp
A friend of ours recommended Thai Spice, saying they really liked it and have gotten it a few times during Covid. So we thought we'd try it out, there are so many hit and miss Thai places in town that we usually go to only a couple places. First, it was disappointing to see three empty restaurant spaces in the 5th street market, but the 2 places that were open were clean and friendly. We came in on a Saturday for lunch and didn't have to wait. We tried our go to meals: Pad Se Ew beef and Pad Kee Mao chicken, both medium spice level. We only waited perhaps 7 minutes for our food and then took it out on the terrace to eat. The servings weren't as large as you'd get at some places but it is still more than enough food. It was nice to have the correct noodle in the dishes (we recently tried a place that I swear was using thick fettuccine noodles) and a level of spice that was both hot and still allowed you to taste your food. I enjoyed my food, though I can't say it was the best Pad Kee Mao I've ever had, it was very good! I'd like to go back and try a stir fry and an appetizer some time. Approve!
google avatar

Gabrielle A.

Yelp
I love this place! The food is delicious and high quality. The service is amazing, too. We recently had a terrible experience with a local delivery service, and the owner went above and beyond to make things right, even though the mistake had been made by Hungry Ducks. Our favorites are the Pad Thai with shrimp, all of the curries, and we also love the salads and appetizers. There's no way to go wrong when ordering from their menu, though. We've never been disappointed! Best Thai food in town, highest quality, and certainly the best service, hands down.

Yelp
Thai Spice sits in the 5th Street Market food court. I had always seen this place but hadn't had a chance to try it. I finally decided to give it a try and was glad I did. My boyfriend and I shared the Tom Kha soup, chicken wings, pad se ew and the fried rice. The amount of food was well portioned but not overly huge. The Tom Kha soup was good but just a little salty but the chicken wings were my favorite! They had a great flavor and were cooked perfectly. The pad se ew was really good as well but I wish it had more sauce. The ingredients are fresh and the customer service is outstanding. We ate at the bar but you can choose any seat about the food court. You can even get different things from different places and share. You can park in the 5th Street Market parking lot for free or you can do street parking with a meter. I also liked how they asked how spicy we wanted it and did a good job or preparing it like we asked. Thanks Thai Spice, we will be back!

Yelp
Location is great and conveniently located to grab food after bar hopping. Food was pretty bland for my taste and portions were small. This is more of a fast food thai with restaurant prices. We ordered panang curry, pad thai, and garden rolls. Panang could have been spicier and pad thai needed more seasoning.
google avatar

Anita S.

Yelp
Great Thai food! Flavor is always spot on. Fast and friendly service. This is one of my go-tos.
google avatar

Nora J.

Yelp
I read a few reviews and gave this place a try b/c one of my favorite spots was closed. This place let me down and I will never go back. I ordered the fried spring rolls and was wondering why they would give someone 6. It was clear why they provide so many, they're really small and terrible. It reminded me of the frozen brand from PF Chang. The Tom Kha soup lacked flavor and was overall underwhelming. I ordered the vegan pad thai and it was awful. The tofu was cooked properly. The pad thai was flavorless and oily. I was originally going to keep quiet but I had to see if something was available to add some flavor to the dish. The noodles were stuck together I could barely get them apart. The staff was very kind and helped me as much as possible. Maybe the normal pad thai sauce is great but vegans beware.

Paul B.

Yelp
Opted for takeout - for swifter delivery to keep the food warm - but it was piping hot and didn't need reheating. Brilliant food as always. Massaman curry, avocado/shrimp curry. Hot and sour coup, spring rolls. Good service, too.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite Thai restaurant in Eugene. Great menu, well constructed dishes, fantastic options, quality ingredients, and obvious "pride in the product" reflective of the ownership. I have been frequenting this spot since they opened and I have always experienced fast, friendly, attentive service as well as flavorful and fresh satisfying meals. If I receive anything less in future visits, they will be forgiven - Try this place if you enjoy flavor and quality.

Austin B.

Yelp
Terrible customer service over the phone, completely put me off ever coming back to this location.
google avatar

Bella S.

Yelp
The best curry in town!! Friendly service, beautiful spring rolls and noodle dishes too
google avatar

Jeanne S.

Yelp
The menu choices are great! Service is friendly and helpful. The food is great, the recipes really stand out. This place is a favorite, I recommend it.

Angella W.

Yelp
I tried the chicken Phad Thai for lunch. I've had this dish hundreds of times mostly in Seattle and I frequently make it myself. The consistency was a 5, moist, hot, not oily, It was served in under 12 minutes. But sadly, it was way too sweet which wasn't balanced by tamarind sour or Thai chilis It's a very hard balance to achieve. Not serving it with crunchy bean sprouts or lime wedge didn't help. It was a food court so no ambiance but I wasn't expecting any.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
My pad kee mao was a 3/5 as far as quality and flavor. It wasn't terrible but it was certainly not good. My original flavor bubble tea was a major letdown. The cup was literally overflowing with ice. When the tea was poured over the ice the lid barely fit because of the ice. I brought it back a few minutes later to ask if I could get some additional tea since my cup had too much ice. She was polite and literally added almost a quarter cup of tea that didn't even come close to filling the cup half way. I was very disappointed and totally unfulfilled. There are several better quality options less than fifty feet from this restaurant. I've also had better service experiences at the other options. If you're craving good Thai, drive elsewhere. If you're craving good food or service, walk to your right or left.

Desiree G.

Yelp
Super impressed with this spot. I live next to the best Thai restaurant in Seattle so I'm very picky when it comes to Thai food. I ordered the pad thai for lunch and also the massaman curry. Both were totally on point and you could taste that the ingredients were really fresh and high-quality. I don't understand people that complain about the price of the food. If you want a ton of crappy food for cheap then go to a cheap Chinese buffet or to McDonald's. If you want really good tasting high quality Thai food prepared well then come here.

Madeleine M.

Yelp
Good food, friendly service! Had the pad Thai with tofu and i really enjoyed it. Also had the Thai iced tea with jellies which was excellent as well
google avatar

Char K.

Yelp
I visited my cousins in town and give this place a try since I am craving of Thai food and it right by the fifth street market. Overall the food was great! It was better than I expect! I like their Larb and Curry a lot. I love when they prepare food made to order, unlike many Thai places in foodcourt that always premade food and does not taste fresh. Will be back to try different dishes.
google avatar

Kambria G.

Yelp
I got the yellow curry. Good curry but portion was on the smaller side. I went during lunchtime so maybe the dinner portion is better. Generous amount of chicken. Nice people. I enjoyed walking around the fifth street market afterwards.
google avatar

Ethan M.

Yelp
Good little eatery in the food court. Their avocado curry special is amazing, and I hope it becomes a permanent fixture on their menu.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with my experience yesterday evening. I had ordered a curry bowl with bamboo shoots added and the girl who took my order was very rude. As she took my order she kept talking to some people who looked as if maybe they were her friends ignoring me mid order. I stood there for mins as she didn't attend to me and finish taking my order. It was awkward. She kept asking me the same question and ignored me when I would answer making the ordering process weird and awkward for me and my family. I did not feel valued or important at all. When I finally got my order the curry didn't have any bamboo shoots which I had repeated again and again that i would like added to the curry. She was unprofessional, rude and dismissive. I won't be going back. The food was bland compared to many other Thai places in Eugene. I suggest ubon Thai, amazing atmosphere, customer service and the food is amazing.
google avatar

Anthony D.

Yelp
Boba, pad thai, and curry exceeding expectations! Looks good and tastes mo betta. If you are vegan you can substitute coconut milk for boba tea.

John C.

Yelp
Only tried the "boba tea" and it was not even tea! More like a milkshake. Took too long and wasn't made correctly. Go elsewhere for boba tea!

Tato S.

Yelp
Very delicious food at a reasonable price from a mom-and-pop restaurant. This has long been a favorite Sunday Brunch spot for my wife and I. Oh, their bubble tea is also very yummy.
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Such a disappointment! Does every Eugene restaurant have to play with standards, like orange chicken? No orange sauce, lack of soy sauce on rice or in to go box. Not worth $10 and tip was undeserved. Never again.
