Alright this place is a solid 10/10 and a true 5 star restaurant hidden gem. Service- immaculate. Food-even more immaculate. Every single item we got was extremely fresh, full of flavor, and had us absolutely FLUSTERED!!!!! We started with the Tom Kha soup and it was so good we were dancing while eating!!!! Then we tried the crab Rangoon, black pepper chicken, and to finish it all off a MANGO STICKY RICE. I was so full I was going to pop but I kept going because it was just that good. This is going to be my go to Thai food restaurant from now on. They deserve all the love! Service was also so extremely friendly and genuine. Had a great time here will be returning any chance I get!

Google
One of our favorite spots and the chicken drunken noodles is my repeat fave! The staff are always friendly whether dining in or quickly carrying out. We’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and it’s a consistently good experience.

Google
We ordered pad thai and tom yum noodle soup. I was really hungry so i hoped the food comes out quick, they brought em out within 3 mins lol. Tasted great with large portion. Military discount available. Doesn’t take Amex card tho. Definitely coming back!

Google
So disappointing. Used to be my favorite. But today, we rushed over there to get there by 2:00 which is their close time for lunch only to find out that 2:00 really means 1:30 to them. So we were rudely brushed off by snippy guy and had to order "to go". Got home to see we were overcharged for two tiny to-go's. Most expensive Thai food around. The chicken larb photographed here cost $15.50 + tax. PRICEY and not all that great!

Google
Tried spring rolls, drunken noodles and fried ice cream. Service was fast and taste is good.

I just had the most delicious lunch at Thai Spoon. The Ginger Delight, prepared with chicken and medium spiciness, was fantastic. This was my first time to try this dish, and I'm glad I stepped away from my usual Green Curry (which is just as tasty). I can't wait until my next visit when I am going to try another new-to-me dish. As always the service was excellent, and the price was reasonable.

Google
Friendly Staff and Decent Food! The fried tofu is so crispy and the satay paired with the sauce was a great starter. The generous portion of the main dishes made all of us feel fulfilled. We visited on a weekend and this business was bustling! Not only were there a lot of people dining in, there were some people coming to pick up huge bags of take-out.

Brian Earle

Google
It was very good and the food came out super fast. While the prices are a bit high for my liking, service was very quick. Atmosphere could use a little bit of work as it was a bit dull. Crab rangoons were delicious but pricey. Had the drunken noodles and enjoyed it.

Yelp
We don't need to go anywhere else for Thai food!! Their menu is great, food always soooo goood, fresh & just the right amount of spicy! Clean restaurant too. We tried another spot last week.... Nope. We're back here every time.

Yelp
Thai Spoon has been one of my favorite Pad Thai spots for a few years now. I have actually not tried anything other than their Pad Thai and mango with sticky rice. The mango with sticky rice is delicious every single time and up until the last few visits their Pad Thai has been off the chain. Unfortunately, the spice level has not been delivering the proper heat. I always order the Thai hot spice level and I even top it off with a little Sriracha. When I received my first wimpy spiced noodles, I thought maybe it was just an ordering mistake but it's happened about three times now. I'm not sure what's changed, but because of this it just is not my favorite spot anymore.

Yelp
I've enjoyed their food in the past but over time I've noticed a sewer gas odor. Hadn't been in months and went in today hoping they'd fixed the problem. Has to be plumbing because it smells like ass. Walked in and had to walk back out abruptly. I hope they call a plumber and get this fixed. Can't be sustainable for business.

Yelp
Was busy for a Tuesday which was great, drunken noodles had good spice and favorable portions and same with the green curry. Took plenty home so it's shareable. Modern place and not dated at all which is better than most Thai spots. Service was slow as my water was never topped off. It's is family owned and worth it for to go at least:

Yelp
I was their with my team for lunch. I must say their lunch menu is really good and we tried almost everything from the menu and everyone liked it. Quantity was good. I tried their Panang curry was the first time and it was really delish.

Yelp
Thai Spoon is soooooo delicious. I usually get the Pad-Thai or the Pad-Se-Ew. Both of those dishes are amazing. The flavors complement each other and every bite is 100% worth it. The rest of my family take Panang or Sweet and Sour curry, Drunken noodles, or other seafood dishes. if you have kids, I recommend the potstickers. I also love the combination dessert and fried ice cream. The service is fast and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and warm. The booths are also very comfortable. This place is definitely a 10/10!!!!
google avatar

Lori D.

Yelp
Their green curry is my favorite. I like it spicy, so I get it Thai hot. The Tom yum soup is my other favorite dish. It is just ridiculously flavorful. My kids really enjoy the kids' meals here. They're on the smaller side. They get the little pieces of fried chicken and sauce with rice. The fried chicken is actually really good with a super light batter. The kids meals come with those asian crispy noodles and sauce too. Occasionally, they split a pad Thai instead. My husband likes the drunken noodles. All of the food always looks and tastes super fresh. The food also comes out super fast here, so if you're in a hurry, this is your spot. The staff are friendly and attentive. They will help guide you if you're not sure what to order. The restaurant has a nice vibe, too. Oh, and did I mention that they have Boba tea? We keep this place in our regular rotation.

Yelp
Consistent and good. Love stopping in for Jasmine tea and chicken pad Thai. Flavors are always fresh and citrus.

Yelp
The Usual: Panang Curry mild with pork, Chicken Satay to share and Drunken Noodles for the other half. And a Thai tea if I want to treat myself. I am a proud menu explorer and relish trying new dishes and ingredients. That is not the case at Thai Spoon since I can't quit that lip smacking Panang Curry. It's the best and I'm sure there are other great things on the menu but I'll never find out because I am in a happily monogamous relationship with that dish.
google avatar

Kerri B.

Yelp
All of their food is really good. The service was good. The staff is great and the food is very very tasty. It's a quiet place to go and eat and enjoy yourself.

Yelp
Holy Thai Food Batman!! This was a spot I frequented back years ago when I lived a lot closer. On the way back from the airport we were hungry and craving Thai food. This little gem popped into my brain so we decided to stop. Boy am I glad we did! It reminded me of how awesome this the food was and still is! We ordered the egg rolls and fried calamari to start. Both perfectly fried to a crisp, and delicious! They came with their own dipping sauces. Then ordered soup, because I remember the Tom Yum (chicken) and the coconut soup being soooooo good! Yep, I was right again. Main dishes didn't disappoint either. Two of us ordered Pad Thai Chicken extra, extra, extra spicy of course. The server looked at me like I was crazy. I am but that's another story. So good! So spicy Yum The service was excellent as I had also remembered and the price was right. I think we will make it our tradition to visit Thai Spoon every time we come back from the airport! Great job TS! Keep up the great work!

Yelp
Bad Thai food. Nothing we ordered tasted very good. Service was very slow and not very friendly. Made a mistake trying this place
google avatar

Milannie C.

Yelp
Best service I've gotten in a while. The servers are friendly and welcoming. Their Pad Se-Ew is a lot lighter than other ones I've had and I love how you can pick your own spice level. On that note, be careful. They're not playing around when they say spicy. Did not take a picture of it, but the basil fried rice with pork was quite terrific. I only wish they didn't close between lunch and dinner, but it's probably better for my waist and my pocket.

Yelp
When someone asks me for my Thai food recommendation, this is always my number 1 recommendation. However, there is a first time for everything and today was the first time Thai Spoon has failed me. It was the first time the food was not as delicious as it normally is. But more than that, I was extremely disappointed at how little of the Panang curry sauce we received. I even told the waitress and asked for more curry but to no avail. The problem is that they brought the curry out on a plate instead of a bowl so all the curry was collected up by the rice before it could be enjoyed and it just detracted from the meal. We were not checked in even once during our meal so the whole experience was the worst I've ever had at Thai Spoon. I'd still come back but I hope this is a one time experience. I hope that when I return I can give 5 stars once again.
google avatar

Mollie G.

Yelp
We were immediately seated and came in an hour before they closed. The server we had was so sweet & nice. Consistently checked on us to make sure we were doing good and had everything we needed. She also gave feedback on what was good for spice level. Everything we had was delicious. Definitely coming back for more of the Tom Kha. We did order medium spicy and it definitely could be a smidge spicier but it was overall delicious and no complaints. For Thai food, come here!!!

Yelp
Title: A Delightful Culinary Experience: Shrimp in the Blanket and Dinner Red Curry I recently had the pleasure of ordering carry-out at a restaurant where I indulged in two delectable dishes: Shrimp in the Blanket and Dinner Red Curry. Both dishes left a lasting impression on my taste buds and were truly a treat for the senses. The Shrimp in the Blanket was a culinary masterpiece. The succulent shrimp were perfectly wrapped in a delicate, flaky pastry that added a delightful crunch to each bite. The shrimp itself was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. Accompanied by a delectable dipping sauce, this appetizer was a delightful start to the meal and set the bar high for what was to come. Moving on to the Dinner Red Curry, I was greeted with a tantalizing aroma as the dish was placed before me. The vibrant colors of the curry instantly caught my attention, and the taste did not disappoint. The curry had a perfect balance of spiciness and creaminess, with each ingredient harmoniously blending together. The shrimp and chicken were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, absorbing all the flavors of the curry. Paired with fragrant jasmine rice, this dish was a true feast for the palate. The overall experience was exceptional. The presentation of both dishes was visually appealing. I highly recommend trying the Shrimp in the Blanket and Dinner Red Curry at this restaurant. The flavors, textures, and overall dining experience exceeded my expectations. Whether you are a seafood lover or a fan of Thai cuisine, these dishes are sure to satisfy your cravings and leave you wanting more. In conclusion, my experience with the Shrimp in the Blanket and Dinner Red Curry was nothing short of extraordinary. It was a gastronomic journey that delighted my taste buds and left me with fond memories. Don't miss the opportunity to savor these delightful dishes at this fantastic restaurant.

Yelp
Red, green and panang curry taste great. Just be careful of ordering it with beef meat, they can be chewy sometimes. I like their drunken noodles more than pad thai. This place has good customer service. It's our go to Thai food near home.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
After all these years, I am still obsessed with Thai spoon. The food is delicious, well priced and fresh. They are so efficient as well! We never have to wait very long. The restaurant is super clean as well. At this point, if anybody says anything bad about this place, I get a little bit mad because that's how wonderful it is in the affinity I feel toward them.
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
We just had the combination pineapple fried rice and the drunken noodles. Everything was off and not flavorful. I hope it's a one-off but it sounds like the recipes have changed and we're disappointed. We're going to give it another shot but not hopeful. Has there been a change in chefs or ownership? This used to be our favorite Thai place.
google avatar

Yelp
Not going back. Service: same lady with nasty attitude for the third time in a row. Portions: they cut it down. Papaya salad: bunch of lettuce and less papaya. Owner: lack of customer service. One star for the convenient location. One star for the food. Instead I am going to Madam Mam's on Anderson lane.
google avatar

Crystal O.

Yelp
Super nice girls. Love their pad Thai and Tom yum noodle soup! I like to add mushrooms to the soup. We have also had the chicken and veggies for my kids which they really love

Jamie L.

Yelp
First, the service was amazing. The staff were super quick to help and very kind. We sat down almost immediately and food came out not too long after ordering. The food was just all around amazing. My boyfriend is very picky about Pad Thai, so when we tried theirs we knew we would become frequent guests. Perfect flavor balance. I'm a huge curry lover and the pineapple curry was so sweet and creamy with the perfect amount of spice. I think the dessert was definitely the star of the show. The ice cream had the perfect texture and flavor. I'd never had the fried bananas how they made them for this dessert, but I wanted to inhale the whole thing. There was honey and sesame seeds on it. I think maybe coconut shavings or a type of nut too? All I can say is the texture and flavor combos were AMAZING. I am very glad we finally tried out Thai Spoon and will recommend that everyone should go here!! Thanks for the great experience

Yelp
Spent $52 what waste of money. My husband and I got sick! 1)Satay was so thin and dry, 2) fish cake - tasted like it was cooked last week. 3) fried wings overcooked with no seasoning and 4) pad Thai was just a pile of sticky noodles! So disappointing and disgusting. 24 hours later we are still feeling ill.

Gina S.

Yelp
We love Thai Spoon! The staff are always friendly and the food is super yummy! We have never been disappointed by anything we have ordered!
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
We ordered drunken noodles, pad se-ew, and spring rolls. They have five level of spicy you cause choose your food to be, and they give big portions. The food was good but more expensive and not any better than the Thai restaurant that's much closer to our house. We went on a Friday night at 6pm and it was nearly full but we were say immediately. The servers were kind and attentive. They use stock photos of food on their menu but I did appreciate how up to date and clean the menus were.

Tyler S.

Yelp
Decent food and service, always easy to get in and find a table. Location is easy to get to as well
google avatar

Alyssa R.

Yelp
I always enjoy the food here. My favorites are the Tom Kha and Basil fried rice. I recently had the calamari and it was really great. Cooked just right. Crispy and not rubbery. I appreciate that they have a kids menu. My son likes the pot stickers. The service is hit or miss depending on who you get. But it's mostly how long they make us wait, not them being rude.
google avatar

William H.

Yelp
Definitely the best Thai - and Asian in general - restaurant in this part of Round Rock!

B P.

Yelp
I absolutely love this Thai spot! Their food is so great I love their pinning curry and their drunken noodles. Their spring rolls are delicious! The staff is so friendly. They are so good to check up on you ensure your beverage are filled. Environment is chill. A family friendly spot too. I definitely see a lot of work crowds coming in for lunch. I would either every day if I could.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
Good food, relative price, local deliver is fast and portion sizes are adequate. Good value
google avatar

Anthony D.

Yelp
Service always great. And takeout is convenient. We love the drunken noodles. Fried tofu appetizer. Coconut milk soup. All great. Tables clean and well maintained.

Janine R.

Yelp
This place has great Thai food and severs were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate 3 appetizers that are not pictured. They were Shrimp in blankets, Dumplings and Springrolls. They were freshly cooked and lovely. For the entree I had the drunken noodles with chicken. This was cooked perfectly and the serving size was great, about a meal and a half for me. And finally dessert, the fried bananas were the best I have had in the Central Texas area, the sticky rice was the perfect amount of sweetness and stickiness and the mango ice cream was amazing. One of our part got a bowl. Will definitely try them. And they don't deliver but maybe they need to check out Runner City Austin and get a delivery person that way.

Yelp
Food is 10/10 Service is 10/10 Ambiance is 7/10 Try the tom kha, pad Thai, and the mango sticky rice dessert!
google avatar

Jamie P.

Yelp
How have I lived in Round Rock for years and not visited Thai Spoon until now?! I happened upon this place and thought why not give it a chance. I ordered curbside takeout around 1pm and they were quite busy. My food was ready 8 minutes later and they quickly brought it out to my car. I ordered the chicken and mixed vegetables...better than I expected. The light brown sauce was everything. I ended up soaking my rice in it since it was so flavorful. I'll definitely be back, especially for their quick to-go lunches.

John E.

Yelp
Excellent selection of Thai and Chinese food. Great service too. Reasonably priced menu.

Jay H.

Yelp
Always very good food. We always have it as takeout. Ambiance is not wonderful in building, but we prefer taking this home anyway. We often order the same dishes each time since they are consistently vert good.. love the spring rolls. Nice family owned and run business. Happy to support.

Brian K.

Yelp
Good food, quick service, good for a dinner without the fanfare of frequent visits from the servers

Kersten P.

Yelp
Amazing food, great customer service, and the boba Thai tea is delish! I've been coming here for a few years and have yet to be disappointed. I highly recommend the chicken pad Thai, P'Kob Chicken Bites, yellow curry dish, or even the drunken noodles. However, there's really not a bad dish there - so I'd recommend stopping by and checking out the menu! Best Thai food in the area.

streeterville f.

Yelp
I will not be going back to this restaurant. Like a few people have noted here, the service has gone downhill as have the portion sizes. I ordered just before the lunch service had ended but had asked for a regular portion knowing how small their lunch portions tend to be and the fact that I was ordering a double order of protein to already bulk up their dinner portion size so that I could make it spread further. I left a message when I noticed the issue and got home. I waited for several hours with no call back (well into the dinner hours) and then called them myself. A few cringeworthy things: -If they screw up your order size, you have to come back to get it (no delivery) and they will charge you the $2-$3 difference in price PLUS make you bring back the original food (even if it's several hours later). (The issue was a portion size one and they aren't supposed to resell it so I guess they just like to be petty?) I noted that I had to waste 30 minutes of my time (and gas money) to come back when they asked why I was so upset, citing that they hadn't overcharged me so it was my choice to come back and get what I had actually ordered. There was ZERO apology while the guy struggled to calculate how much he was going to charge me. -Even when the guy handed me the correct size order, he included it with white rice, not brown rice. You see, they do not substitute white rice for brown rice like most places do where you just pay a slight upcharge. Instead, you have to pay for the brown rice separately and are left with 2 portions of rice, one of which likely goes in the trash. The manager wanted to take back the white rice (even though he had charged me for both) when I said I only eat brown rice. The manager also didn't see why I thought that that was funny after our whole long conversation about how he makes people buy 2 rices that he handed me a bag with my "corrected" order with white rice. -The girl (who was probably the one who screwed up my order in the first place since it was a girl who had answered the phone) was glaring at me the whole time instead of being/looking apologetic. And then they wonder why you are upset with them after paying close to $50 for food and having to come back twice with zero apology and bad attitude. Sorry, but I'd rather go somewhere where they value customer service.

Yelp
Literally lost count how many times I've eaten here. Every single time, we experience excellent service, great dishes. I feel like I'm trying almost everything they have here. Never been disappointed with anything I've ever ordered. My wife and kids are also absolutely in love with Thai Spoon. You won't regret your first visit here.

Oscar F.

Yelp
Definitely some good Thai cuisine. Everything was hot and fresh! You can't go wrong at this location.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Consistently great. Super family friendly and genuinely nice to all. Service here is always fast and super friendly. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I usually have the Pad See-ew (hot).....amazing every time. My wife gets the coconut soup. Our kids love going here, and so do I.

Brian W.

Yelp
Been a customer of Thai Spoon for several years now. For my money, it's the best Thai this side of downtown. The customer service is stellar. The food is the real star here. EVERYTHING I've ordered is just how I like it.

Robin C.

Yelp
This was my first time ordering take out from Thai Spoon and I was pretty disappointed... I have my go tos which are currently Tom yum, tom kha and green curry, all with tofu or veggies. The Tom kha was good but nothing special. The Tom yum tasted like a fishtank and the green curry was nutty. Green curry should not have a "nutty" flavor, coconut milk does not taste nutty... and whoever made the Tom yum decided they wanted the main flavor profile to be pungent fish anus. I finally tried the place so no regrets. Oh, I did get the soft spring rolls (tofu again) and those were pretty good, the peanut sauce was not super thick and flavorful. But I'll stick to Thai Lada or Madam Mam's. I'll forever miss Satay. The service was fast and friendly and it looked like a comfortable place to have a casual dinner.
google avatar

Kate L.

Yelp
Best Thai food I've found being out in the Austin/Round Rock area the past year. We go at least once a week, very fast and kind service.
google avatar

Renita S.

Yelp
Best Pad Thai around and wonderful customer service. Don't let the location fool you.
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
Good food but they are cutting down the portion sizes. Good week night in a pinch to grab some grub spot on East Round Rock.

Jane W.

Yelp
The service is really good. The food was decent but I am a very picky eater. My husband absolutely loves this place. I would recommend if you like Thai food.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I've been told to try this place for a long time and I finally made it there. I love pad thai but have struggled to find THE best place for me. Thai Spoon did not disappoint! In fact, I think it might have just become my go-to. I'm giving 5 stars, even though I only tried this one item, because it just hit the spot. I took it to go and it was still so good. I love the flavor and the smaller noodles. My husband loved the smaller noodles, too. The service was quick and they actually paid attention to my comments I included when placing the order online. Hopefully, they aren't sold out of the sticky rice next time!
google avatar

Derek Y.

Yelp
this place is AMAZING! the food is really delicious and they have a $10 lunch special which is fantastic. both quality and quantity are great. and the spicy level is actually legitimately spicy, so if you're not a huge spicy guy, don't get above medium. servers are also very friendly.
