"Thai Star leans into the tiki vibes of Thailand with its decor. As for the menu, try the coconut soup, pineapple fried rice, and award-winning khao soi noodles. Don’t skip on an order of Thai coffee." - Courtney E. Smith

This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant and it’s not close to my house. The spicy basil chicken is always consistently delicious! It cones with rice, but I always get a side of wide noodles because I like the spicy basil chicken with the noodles. The appetizer sampler is a good way to try different items. All are good. The soup and sticky rice was also very good. This is my go-to for Thai food.

Google
The food was authentic and hot means hot here, except that all 3 of our entrees were spiced with the same chili sauce giving them a very smilar taste profile, with the exception of the chili cashew stir fry that had a slightly more sweet taste and was the highlight. The chicken satay appetizer had some chewy parts and did not meet our expectations. Service was pleasant. The restaurant itself is clean but extremely outdated - could use some updating for sure. Overall it is different from other run-of-the-mill Thai restaurants, though it may not be everybody's cup of tea when they think of Thai food.

Ever since I relocated to Atlanta in 2002, Thai Star has been my go-to restaurant, and my loyalty has remained unwavering. It served as a cherished lunch spot during my time with colleagues, and even after I left the company, we continued to gather at this establishment for company reunions. Today, I had the pleasure of sharing a long-awaited dinner with my grown-up son, whom I hadn't seen in a year. We indulged in our all-time favorite dishes: Pad Thai with Tofu, Penang Curry with Chicken, and Basil Fried Rice, accompanied by the original Thai beer, Singha. To my delight, the restaurant has retained the same owner, Wendy, and the service provided by our familiar waitress remained consistently fantastic. The taste of the food was as exceptional as ever, and we thoroughly relished every bite. It was a truly enjoyable experience, enhanced by the attentive service we received. Having the opportunity to have both lunch and dinner at the restaurants, which holds a treasure trove of fond memories with my colleagues and family, made the day all the more special. Thai Star has continued to be a place of comfort and delightful dining experiences throughout the years, and I am grateful for the lasting memories it has provided me with. Strongly recommend Thai Star if you haven’t tried yet.

Thai Star is one of my favorite spots in the Peachtree Corners area. The service is fast and friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Every visit is a consistently positive experience. I always leave satisfied!

Google
Thai Star restaurant offers decent food with authentic flavors, service and ambiance are ok. It's a satisfactory spot for a casual meal,

Google
I went looking for Thai coconut soup & sticky rice dessert. Both were different from other Thai restaurants i went to & craved for, this was too sour soup & sugar cyrup on sticky rice instead of thick coconut milk sauce over the rice, thus it did not satisfy me. Sorry.

Google
This is family style dining. Very large portions. The food is good, needs a little more spice on the pad thai. The panang curry beef was really good. The service was fast and good. The place looks really nice and clean. It is difficult to see from the main road, but definitely check this place out.

Yelp
Favorite Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. It always hits. Service is good and always friendly. You can also order using QR code. Really enjoy their curries and stir fried dishes. Drunken noodle is also very very good and comes with the wonderful Smokey wok flavor.

Yelp
Just ordered takeout and I was so disappointed with the food today. We ordered pad thai with fried tofu and there was no egg added in the dish. No one asked us if egg was okay, so I assumed it would be included. Also, no peanuts or lime. Again, I was not asked if I needed and I wasn't looking at the menu to remember that I need to ask for it. The other dish was basil fried rice, also with tofu with exactly one bell pepper and barely any veggies. All rice and some tofu. We have been ordering from Thai star since about 25 years and this is the first time I am disappointed with the food. And we paid 35 dollars for a take out order. Looks like they want to lose lifelong customers. Should have seen the low ratings and gone another place, I guess ratings don't lie.

Yelp
I recently stopped by Thai Star in Norcross for lunch and had mixed feelings about the experience. I ordered the Drunken Noodles, which unfortunately tasted burnt. It was a bit disappointing, as I was really looking forward to it, but the charred flavor was hard to ignore. It was lunch time and they were busy and it was a while before someone came to table to check in My friend ordered the Garlic Pepper Chicken, and they really enjoyed it! The chicken was flavorful and had the right amount of spice, so that was a plus. On the bright side, parking is free and easy, which is always a win when you're in the area. While the Drunken Noodles didn't hit the mark for me, my friend's dish was solid, and I'd be willing to give this place another try. Hopefully, I'll have better luck next time! For the most part, the service was responsive. There's a iPad on the table and you order this way. So communication with staff can be limited.

Yelp
So I have to be completely honest. I've passed this place more than a few times. But my boyfriend wanted some Thai food so we decided to stop. There was lots of parking which was great. Even though the outside seems a bit rough. Lol. Walking in to the front door, the inside pretty much matched the outside. Very basic. Pretty quiet. Outdated. No distinct ambience. Only a few people there. But the staff did greet us and seat us quickly. We were able to access the menu from an iPad on the table. And I'm not gonna lie, I was a little worried about the food because of the way this place looks. But man oh man was I wrong. When the food came out. It looked absolutely beautiful and tasted even better. This has to be the best fried rice that I've ever eaten. I'm not a big leftover girly. But there was no way I could eat all the food that I was given. And I promise you I ate the remainder of that food the same night. The food was absolutely delicious. Lots of chicken, beef and shrimp!! Eggs too. And the soy sauce has a distinct flavor. Savory but not salty. If you're not too worried about looks and you just want some good food. I definitely recommend you stop here. Even if just for some awesome takeout.

Yelp
Food is great and waiter was so nice. Very strange and uninviting that you have to press a button in order for the waiter to even acknowledge you. Please get rid of the button system!

Yelp
Found this gem looking for food after a meeting. It was lunch time and i arrived 5 min before they closed. Excellent service as the said we got you. I ordered the shrimp pad thai, and appetizer combo. Lunch special includes free spring roll and i upgraded for $2 more and got the chicken coconut soup. Everything was delish. The shrimp tempura sticks were my fav with the plum sauce. Last treat was we ended up meeting the executive chef and got to learn more about his background and alter ego outside of work. The space was quiet so a good place for 1 on 1 meeting. I also got the thai tea. It was normal. Lunch special ran me about 15 bucks without sampler. Definitely recommend

Yelp
Great flavorful food and a complimentary spring roll per person. Staff is always very nice. Casual inside. My favorite is the red curry with fried tofu

Yelp
This place is pretty with the water fountain and patio as well as the interior designs. Whoever opened this restaurant really wanted to bring an upscale design yet the interior reminds me of s&s cafeteria We came here because our usual place in Norcross was closed on a Wednesday and the Thai craving just was not going to leave us alone We both got the mixed vegetables lunch with chicken. This comes with sliced chicken breast, squash slices, broccoli, onions, carrots. Instead of brown sauce I asked for Thai basil sauce. This was pretty good and just slightly sweeter than my usual Thai place. Lunch also comes with a spring roll ($10.50) You can add a coconut chicken soup (Tom gha kha) for $2 more with lunch so we did. The coconut soup here isn't made with the usual mushrooms but instead sliced american white mushrooms. I found the soup to be quite salty yet the chicken was fresh and tender. We also had a side of spring rolls added 3 for 6$ which I feel was more than other places. There was a mix in plateware that was used. Cups and spring roll plates were throw away but main courses were on dishes, not a big deal for us personally though. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised to know this place exists as a last resort when other Thai places are closed. I could see myself coming back but not taking a drive here as first choice.

Yelp
This was my 2nd time eating food from here. I have yet to at the restaurant. I ordered pick-up for drunken noodle dish with vegetables. I got their a little early before the pick-up time they gave me. But my lunch was ready to go. Yay! The woman behind the counter was kind & professional. Got back to the office and it was hot and delicious. I didn't expect to, but I ate all of it. So good.

Yelp
I love thai star for grabbing a quick meal after work to catch up with friends. The restaurant was pretty empty when we got there so service was super quick! There's a call button at every booth to call your waiter when you're ready to order which we found really convenient. The portions were large and reasonably priced and I had the best thai iced tea i've ever had here ($4 iced, $6 hot). We also had the drunken noodles and red curry which was delicious and you can ask them to modify the spiciness level on everything! Overall great experience and i will definitely be back for the tea

Yelp
Best Thai food in town, great lunch specials, awesome owner. I've had the basil chicken, beef and broccoli, and panang curry and they were all delicious. Go-to Thai place!

Jj H.

Yelp
Not exactly"Fine" Thai Food is good, but a little on the oily side. They are using tablets/ displays for you to order that are not working well and inconvenient. This is advertised as a "Fine" Thai place but there are paper cups and no dedicated server. I'd recommend using some friendly servers to sustain the operation.

Yelp
This review is a bit unusual. I live in Tampa, and formerly owned a Condo in Atlanta so I have eaten at Thai Star dozens of times over the last 20 years. On December 8th, I drove up to Atlanta to attend a Family Friend's parent's funeral. We drove directly to Thai Star to grab lunch before heading to our hotel. After picking up our order, the battery in my key fob of my vehicle expired and we couldn't get in our vehicle. Matt (Owner's Husband) suggested we eat our lunch there first then he proceeded to grab key fobs of several employees to see if they used the same battery, CR 2032. As it would happen, none had the same battery. Matt drove me to the nearest Drug Store after we ate, to allow me to purchase a battery which I installed and worked immediately. Needless to say, we are Customers for life. We love the food and Matt's effort to go above and beyond the call of duty was very special. Thank you, Matt and Thank you, Thai Star!! The Petersons

Yelp
Not only is the food here incredible, if you come at lunch and you're okay with placing your order on an iPad, the restaurant staff has everything streamlined to get you in and out efficiently. I've tried about 8 different dishes here and have not been disappointed once. I come here for lunch about once a week. They're closed on Mondays and that makes them especially busy on Tuesdays so I recommend going later in the week.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food with great service. I have ordered multiple items from the menu and have never been disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Very bland unseasoned food. The crab rangoons literally tasted like limp crab with cream cheese. The spring rolls were the highlight. Service was decent. Friendly and attentive staff. Looking from the outside you would think the place is closed but it is nice and well lit on the inside. Just wish I enjoyed the food more
google avatar

Kip S.

Yelp
Had a crab dish , which was very bad, crab appeared old, dish was thrown together, couple of red peppers, old cherry tomatoes, will not be back, plus prices went up.

Virginia J.

Yelp
We know the owners and love what their menu offers. My husband could eat the coconut shrimp daily. Great care and service!

Yelp
Service is always amazing. This is my lunch spot and a great option. The food is always fresh. I love their Pad See Ew
google avatar

Pauline H.

Yelp
Drunken noodles were very spicy. It didn't have much flavor. I had to go home add soy sauce to it. The nam sod and chicken larb was so salty. It was very small portion too but the price went up so much.

Yelp
I have lived coast to coast and seven years overseas and enjoy many Thai and Chinese foods. I worked near Thai Star for several years before my employment changed. I now live 43 heavily trafficked miles from the restaurant but due to my trying to find a similar quality of Thai food in surrounding counties, my wife and I make the trek to Thai Star to enjoy a great meal. I love it today as much as the first time I tried it!

Yelp
We go out for Thai food often. This is the BEST Thai restaurant. Seriously! The food is authentic, and the price is reasonable. We recommend this restaurant to many friends who like Thai food. Never be disappointed!

Yelp
This place is overly priced but pretty good and honestly the flavors are the closest to actual thai I think I've found in gwinnett. My lunch time go to is Thom kha soup. The only thing reasonably priced at 5$ a cup. It always brings a smile to my face

Yelp
Waoooo....Thai Star is a perfect example of what is really good & quality food in a family owned restaurant. It's a good family and intimate experience located in Norcross, GA. The ambiance is perfect for an amazing, fulfilling, tasty and authentic Thai food. Amazing to share with your loved ones and friends. It is also the perfect environment for a social gathering with co-workers or friends to have some good conversations. The restaurant is well located close to the ATL area and it has an awesome feel of far from the hussle of our cool city. The food is amazing and so is the presentation! Service is beyond AMAZING, super attentive, quick and efficient. The whole staff will make sure your experience is an amazing one! The food takes your pallet in an adventure! The flavors of all the ingredients show the freshness and the intimate selection of the restaurant owners/Family Team. My wife & I enjoy it every time we visit the restaurant not only for the amazing food but for the Family environment they create. The food is well priced and at the end of the meal you will feel that it was more than worth it paying the price for the overall experience you had. Definitely a place to visit during any occasion! My wife & I will make a point to continue to share and take all our family & friends every time they visit us here in Atlanta. A yummy experience in all aspects! For us; it feels like it is an extension of our home and family.

Yelp
I came to this place to pick up lunch and it was super empty, very quiet, which is great of course! I was skeptical about somethings, but I was still willing to give them a try. *First I ordered the main dish which was the panang beef which was reaaaaaaalllly good! The sauce and flavor had the right amount of spices and I ordered it hot so it was pretty spicy too. Unfortunately it doesn't come with avacado , but good thing I had one at home . Everything was tender and soft. Loved it * second I ordered shrimp wrapped in a spring roll wrapping and it was BOMB! I loved it too! The shrimp was amazing and it was so crispy. Definitely would come back for that and will! The plum sauce it came with was really good too but I would recommend to get extra because it comes with only one sauce and it's pretty small. *last I ordered lemongrass soup. I was very hesitant about this, but I do like lemon grass. It was between this or the coconut soup.. I just am not a huge fan of coconut and didn't know how much of that it would taste like. The lemongrass soup was amazing! It's clear, but the oils were red.. which is very confusing lol. But it had the right amount of like and lemongrass to go together. It's a sour soup too which I love! The oils on it are VERY messy to be careful! What I love about this place was that my Togo order was super hot (temperature wise) so when I got back home, it was still burning hot. They are covid friendly.. MASKS REQUIRED on all doors which is great too! Definitely will be back 10/10

Yelp
Important Information before you go, so your meal will not be ruined. The food is good, the service is not always. Previous reviews I've read, have experienced the same poor service. A certain older female server is very rude and doesn't know how to provide service in the restaurant industry. You will not get: how is the food, here is more water, can I get you anything? You'll feel ignored. Enjoy the food, don't let the poor service ruin it.
google avatar

Savanna F.

Yelp
The food was not great, and the Thai tea was extremely floral (potentially over-steeped?). I had the Panang curry with chicken, and the flavor was very Thai basil forward which overpowered everything else in the dish. The owner was very nice and polite, however the ladies who were serving tables gave off vibes like the restaurant guests were an inconvenience being there. Unfortunately, after this experience I don't think I'd go back, especially with other Thai restaurants nearby that are phenomenal in both food and service.

Yelp
I loved it. I stopped in for a late lunch today and ordered takeout. I got the Chicken Pad Thai and it was delicious. My food was hot and flavorful. I enjoyed it. I ordered the shrimp fried rice for dinner which I have not yet tried. I also tried the shrimp rolls which were good. It is a quiet, popular, and great spot with a very kind owner. The portions are large. There is ample parking in the private lot and Cheesecaked is right next door.

Yelp
Came here for years for lunch because it was right next door to work. Not a neighborhood with a lot of character and the restaurant feels very dive-y, however, I can't complain about the food. Love the Drunken Noodles and the Green Bean Stir Fry with Basil. Atlanta has such an amazing Thai restaurant in an industrial suburb with no charm. When I went there recently, "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" by Elvis Presley was playing! Amazing!! Compared to the very marginal Thai food at Thaiphoon in Palo Alto, this place is so much better and cheaper.
google avatar

Julia E.

Yelp
Delicious food and the kindest owner. I have eaten several meals here and think it's some of the best Thai around. Don't miss it!
google avatar

Yelp
Service was not great. My water was served in a waxed paper cup. But forget that. My server asked my drink order before I sat and another server whisked it to the table moments later. The tea's fragrance was the first thing that hits you, floral, sweet, with honey. Then my original server came and I explained my inexperience in Thai cuisine but that I like spicy food. She pointed at 3 recommendations and I chose one with Eggplant and 2 chili peppers next to it. She seemed happy with my order and went in the back. It couldn't have been 8 minutes before the plate was brought to me, fresh, hot, steaming, colorful, and aromatic. The presentation was clearly considered, deliberate. The two large, pink shrimp on full display next to the bright purple of an eggplant slice or two facing me, plump white ball of rice to the right. Every bite had a new flavor. Each pepper (red, yellow, green varieties) bite sized, each eggplant cut the size of a bite-sized snickers. Spinach, mounds of ground chicken, chili, spices, aroma in every bite. This is my new favorite. I will be back, and I'm going to bring friends.
google avatar

Thao T.

Yelp
Tried their red curry, pad Thai, and fried rice. I loved my red curry. I got the spicy level hot. Great amount of spice and the flavor is in point. Happy that the pad Thai wasn't too sweet like other places. It was a good mix of salty and sweet. There was something about it though that made the flavor a bit too pronounced in the sauce. And my husband said the fried rice was okay.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Thai Star is an unassuming looking restaurant from the outside, but once you come through the revolving front door it's pretty classy. They have 2 different menus- the regular menu (aka dinner menu) is used on Sundays, just like a lot of places. We had the Pad See Ew and Panang Curry. I like it spicy . I also ordered the coconut soup! They put red chili oil in to give it that extra kick! Yum.
google avatar

Christie R.

Yelp
I love this place! Use to come at least once a week for lunch but started working from home about 3 years ago. I never had to order. The food was always at the table shortly after sitting down. Came in tonight for dinner and that server recognized me and stopped at my table to chat. The food is just as good as I remembered too. I had the coconut soup and Prik Pao Noodles. My husband had the Drunken Noodles. Yum!! The food and service did not disappoint. All was amazing! So worth the 45 minute drive!

Jaden L.

Yelp
Good Food, service, ambiance but the reason I gave a four star rather than a five star was the fact that the parking space was so tiny.

Yelp
Overall review: got delivered by Uber eats. Portions were great. Quality was great! And food was delivered pretty fast. So all in all, the experience was great! Ordered: spring roll ($5) + drunken noodles with beef ($12.50) + pad Thai with chicken ($12.50) Ambience: N/A since I got Uber Eats to deliver *Uber Eats delivery fee was $0.99 but since our order was over $25, we got delivery fee waived. However, the service fee was still added. Review: portion sizes were more than we expected. The main dishes were generous with the meat servings. We asked to take out bean sprouts. Pad Thai: We had Pad Thai after a while and this one was particularly good. It had a slight sweet and savory taste. Adding some hot sauce just created the perfect flavor. The rice noodles were cooked at the right level. Chicken was pan grilled and a bit charred, so you actually notice the flavor of the chicken. This was better than Drunken Noodles. Drunken noodles: again portion size and meat serving was impressive. I am not a huge fan of too much soy sauce and this dish had a bit too much of soy sauce for my taste. The noodles were a bit too soft. But the beef was cooked fine, not too chewy/dry. Overall, it was good but the Pad Thai was better. Spring roll: crunchy and deeply fried. How can you go wrong with that.

Yelp
I used to work a block away from here and this was our go-to sit down place for every special occasion. Now I find myself making the drive because so far it is the best Thai food I have had in the area. The guy up front is very friendly and efficient in seating and checking people out. My favorite is the basil chicken, but others swear by their curry. I myself am just not a fan of curry. At lunch it gets busy sometimes but they always manage to get us in and out. I will keep coming back.
google avatar

Monica C.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, though the service was lackluster. We came on a Sunday night and were like one of 3 groups there. I ordered the massaman curry with chicken, avocadoes, and cashews which was pretty tasty. (I tried asking without the tamarind juice, but since apparently it was premade, they couldn't accommodate for that. That's all right though since it ended up being yummy anyway!) The chicken was also really tender. My boyfriend ordered the pad Thai and he liked it as well. Again, the only downside was the service. Although they weren't rude, the waiters barely smiled at us and didn't really make an effort to connect. All in all, it was an all right experience.

Yelp
I have been eating at Thai Star for many years now. Everyone I get to come to TS I am very pleased with the service, food quality and the taste of the food. I like to try something different each time I come here. One of my favorite things is the Coconut Milk Soup (Tom Kha) which is probably one of the best in Atlanta. If you haven't visited this restaurant yet, you are missing out!

Yelp
I had Tofu Pad Thai and Coconut Soup. Food was excellent! Service was really good. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
This restaurant feels like a bit of a hidden treasure on a busy corner in Norcross. My friend and I ate at this restaurant last night, during a horrible rain storm, and it was a cozy dining experience. We were seated in the last booth of a fairly large dining room and felt like we had a relaxing and private dining experience, even though the restaurant was fairly full. The waiter was attentive without hovering. We ordered Thai iced tea, which was delicious. We started with the Basil rolls, which were unusual, but tasty. They were served in fresh rice paper, stuffed with cream cheese and cucumbers, and topped with avocado pieces with a side dish of peanut sauce. We also ordered Penang Beef Curry and Masaman Pork Curry. These curries were served in white boats, with a large bowl of white rice, so we could share our dishes and eat them family style. The Masaman curry was tasty and the pork was tender, with plenty of peanuts for crunch. The Penang curry was quite spicy, but very flavorful. Both dishes yielded plenty of leftovers. We impulsively decided to take out two orders of chicken pad Thai, and they were cooked and packed up quickly. I enjoyed mine for lunch today and it was tasty even after spending a day in styrofoam. I plan to return for another delicious, calm, and peaceful dining experience. And if I don't have the time to eat in, I know the take out will be just as tasty.

Yelp
The first time I tried this restaurant back in 2018 it was mediocre at best but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I kept trying there food via takeout/dine in. Unfortunately Thai Star has been getting worse. The food is very inconsistent. The Pad Thai would either come out brown and greasy or it would be pretty decent. Pad Thai is always a gamble here. The service has went from okay to nonexistent. I don't know if they changed owners or if they restructured there business due to recent events but the people working there come off entitled and annoyed with customers. Star Thai has redirected almost entirely to take out, pick up, and/or online orders. The front desk/lobby area is set up like a bank but unlike the bank I cannot hear or see the person talking to me through the plexiglasspanels. These are few of the major problems I've been experiencing with Thai Star ever since I moved to the area. I honestly feel like a fool for giving them my business for the past 4 years. Fortunately for me there are better spots down near chamblee and all over Atlanta. Thai cuisine is unique and delicious and restaurants like Thai Star shouldn't discourage others from exploring good food and culture.

Yelp
I've been here twice, once for a lunch on a job interview and then again with my co-workers a few weeks later. We arrived around 1130-12 and the place was busy each time. There isn't a hostess standing there to greet you but there is a cashier to the left asking you to stand to the right while you wait to be seated. Now that I think about it we paid at our table with our waitress so I'm not sure the reason for the crowding at the door. There is some seating including a love seat while waiting for your party. Once seated you are promptly given a complimentary spring roll and water. Our order was taken quickly. I had the chicken pad Thai and drunken noodles on my two visits. Both were tasty. Co-workers had veggies with rice and two people had Thai basil fried rice which they say they get all the time. I think we were in an out within an hour. Definitely a regular spot on the lunch rotation for those traveling to the area for our office. It's close by and they are efficient. I just love that free spring roll!

Yelp
went here for the second time in my life tonight. i can't remember what I had last time - it had to be years and years ago. So let me just comment on tonight. we arrived a little after 6 pm. There was only one table with people. The decor is basic but nice. The restaurant is clean. I had drunken noodles with beef and a tom kha soup with chicken. The drunken noodles didn't look that spicy but actually had some kick. The tom kha (coconut soup) was tasty with button mushrooms and chicken. Both were on the salty side but were so tasty I didn't mind that much. I would rather have slightly salty food than food with no taste at all. I should have got a bowl of rice and dumped it into my tom kha. My friend got the massaman curry with avocado and cashews with white rice and tom kha also. She loved her dish and the soup. She had enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Yay for her because I only had enough left for a snack. We got the Thai stars (crab rangoons) and shrimp in a blanket (shrimp wrapped in spring roll wrappers). Both were average tasting but the presentation was nice. The server was attentive, polite. Food came out fairly quick. Would definitely go back again. Definitely one of the better Thai restaurants around here. Also, they have private parking and it's easy to find.

Yelp
I've been to Thai Star over 30 times in the past 10 year. I don't live in the area, but I would take clients to lunch often when near by. Also, I worked in Norcross for a year and Thai Star was less than a block away. It was always a fun experience and loved the food. Two days ago, my mother and I went there for an early dinner. We were craving Basil Rolls. When we searched the menu there were hand drawn price adjustments on many of their items. I get it. The two items that offered Basil Rolls were marked with loud black Sharpie. The waitress told me the chef that makes their basil rolls was out. Hmmm? So you mark out the items on all of your menus??? OK. What else do you have that's a bit healthy? I saw an appetizer that offered fish with cucumber salad. She said she liked the dish. So, we ordered. When it arrived there were no cucumbers. . Waitress then told me they were out. I didn't want it, but we ate anyway. I should have sent back. Waitress seemed sad and stressed. At that time we ordered 2 soups. They were OK. After we finished soup we sat for over ten minutes and no one came to check on us and take our entree order. In the meantime, two parties came in. One of them definitely knew the staff (Loyal customers). They ordered wine and were told they no longer serve wine. You could tell the couples were surprised and disappointed. The other table ordered wine and same conversation, no wine served. At that time I went to checkout counter and asked someone to please take our entree order. Keep in mind, I was very cordial and I kept thinking I felt sorry for them. They're obviously struggling. But, with all that being said, at least be honest, tell me you don't have cucumbers when menu says it comes with. Please check-in with your customers and give good service. The entrees were good. But, I will not be going back. It would not surprise me if they close down for good soon

Yelp
I've been here before but forgot how good it was. I am a Thai Food regular. Thai Tea is the first thing to order to see how it's prepared and tastes. It wasn't premixed and had the perfect separation and coloring to it although it was a little heavy on the cream. A little different than I'm used to but still good enough to be a solid 4.5 on the Thai Tea meter. Had the Pad Thai which was amazing. I like it a little sweeter and with a little more like but still very good. Portion was good. Solid 4.5

Yelp
TASTIEST on the planet! Unfortunately, also RIP OFF-iest on the planet. $18 for the ... uh ... "dinner portion" in the pic. And I ordered THREE of these "dinner portions." After calling back, the manager gave me a ten dollar credit. Thanks but never again. Once jiwpped off, never again.

Yelp
Decide to grab a quick Sunday dinner with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. Told him I was in the mood for Thai and off we went to Thai Star. Parking was plentiful and easy. Couple of other tables being served but for the most part was pretty empty in the restaurant. For you ballas out there, at the time I went, they were not taking American Express. You know those fees pretty spicy from what vendors have told me. The menu is quite extensive but I went to my go to "test a spot" dish...Pad See Ew with shrimp. For those of you unfamiliar its a noodle dish with wide noodles, usually served with broccoli in a soy based sauce. What I really enjoyed about their version was the hint of garlic I was tasting that I thought really added something special. The noodles had good separation (sometimes they can be stuck together), good texture and really held the flavor of the sauce. Portions of broccoli and shrimp were good. The sauce was sweet as expected but not overly sweet as I've had in some other places. Perhaps just a bit too much egg would be my only complaint. My friend had the pineapple fried rice. I did get a spoon worth to taste and must say it was very very tasty. Rice had good texture..not too soft not too hard and had some good layers of flavor in just the one bite I had. The service and time it took to get the food were too long for my taste and so it makes me wonder what trying to get lunch on a tight schedule would be like. The demeanor of the servers was friendly when they did come around. $32 for 2 entrees prior to tip quite reasonable. All and all a good experience overall.

Yelp
My husband and I used to be regulars with ordering take out 5+ years ago. The portions have definitely gotten smaller. Unfortunately, this is pretty common everywhere these days. The food however is still extremely tasty! Ordered spring rolls, spicy drunken noodles and pad Thai last weekend. Ordering extra spicy isn't very spicy though. Had to ask for ask for extra seasoning/chili paste. My main reason for the 4 start is the smell in the back of the restaurant. It's a very unpleasant smell and I'm almost certain it's something to do with the plumbing. As they leave both bathroom doors propped open... No one wants to smell that while eating. Will probably only order carry out because of the foul smell. However, the restaurant looks/seems very clean/sanitary and the staff are friendly/accommodating.
