Best Thai food I’ve ever had! Was in the Bay Area for work, and stumbled upon this restaurant. Had an appetizer of the pot stickers and Massaman Cury, and was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Portion sizes are great, and food had a ton of flavor. Will be going back every time we’re back in town!

Our second time here and the food was good again. The gai yang was so good with the chicken so tender. The rock cod fish with the sweet tamarind sauce was exquisite, and the texture of the fried fish with something that taste like bread crumbs was just so good to bite into. Service was great, good vibe, I like how they open late and accommodating for late nights from the airport. The owner is also always a pleasure to talk to, a charming, sharp and jovial fellow who has been in this business for 40 or so years!

Garlic prawn was soo good, and green curry was very authentic. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve tried.

New Review 2021: I got a takeout recently from Thai Stick and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the Duck Red Curry order. The curry had quite a bit of roast duck in a base of coconut milk, spices and herbs like basil. I found the loads of chopped pineapple they added in the curry a bit strange. The spiciness can be customized from Mild to Spicy. Overall, it's a good experience. However, I must mention that the inside of the restaurant smells strange and unpleasant and would recommend a takeout or outside seating. Old Review 2017 : The food is pretty ordinary, however this place is open late into night, that's the best thing about it.

Absolutely amazing authentic Thai food. Service is seriously the best I've experienced in a while. Not only was everyone polite, attentive but went the extra mile to make my 3 kiddos feel appreciated. A must to visit if in the area.

One of the worst Thai food I have had in the Bay Area. The crab fried rice had almost no crab, and was tasteless. The restaurant had cobwebs all over the ceiling. Avoid this restaurant.

First time trying and so glad I did. Been looking for yellow curry similar to Osha Thai in SF and this was similar. Egg rolls & Thai iced tea were pretty good. Friend got spicy drunken noodles and boy it was she liked it! It was almost noon and surprised it wasn't crowded yet perhaps because it was raining. The lady was friendly and attentive. Had cute golden statues & couple tvs.

Was craving Thai food and was in the area. Unfortunately, this place did not hit the spot. The papaya salad was lacking in flavor. It was rather bland and did not have the sour, sweet and spice i was yearning for. The chicken pad Thai also lacked flavor and did not meet expectations. The pineapple fried rice had Chinese sausage in it which I found strange. It lacked the savory flavor I'm use to from having tried this at many other Thai establishments. We were the only one eating there and I'm not surprised why. The carpet also looked like it had not been vacuumed in months. The chicken satay was good but the peanut sauce was super watered down. It's suppose to be thick and creamy but instead it was watery and once again lacked flavor. Came hungry and left disappointed. I won't be back. I'll stick to King of Thai which is all the way in SF but at least I know I'll be satisfied.

Thai Stick is an amazing restaurant in downtown Millbrae, just off the exit from SFO airport! When you walk into this restaurant, you feel like it's more of a home feeling as you're immediately greeted by staff and seated with a friendly smile. The place is simple, but the food is soo good! I've been here many times and the food never disappoints. My favourite is the minced chicken, Thai spicy hot level with a fried egg on top. My friend ordered pad see ewe noodles with beef and looked and tasted so good! When you're having your meal, staff check on you and make sure you're satisfied. The owner and cook Paul is often in the kitchen making the delicious meals, but will occasionally walk around and chat with customers. The ambiance feels more like you're having a family dinner at a home with a relaxed atmosphere and conversations with staff. The price point is where you'd expect for a good, filling meal. If you're in Millbrae, I suggest you go give it a go! Parking is street parking and fairly easy to find a spot with parking lots around.

Not good. Ordered takeout- restaurant was run down and empty. Food quality was lacking- Soggy rice, fishy pad thai, disappointing overall. Somewhat reasonably priced, but not cheap enough to warrant a return visit.

Unfortunately my experience with Thai Stick was underwhelming. Thai food is supposed to be very flavorful. Ordered the Pad Thai, which arrived without the usual scrambled egg. The pad Thai also had a strange color. The claypot shrimp with glass noodles was also very disappointing. No flavor at all. Out check arrived and I noticed a 18% tip was already included. We will not be returning

I don't understand why some reviewers are so negative, hostile really, about Thai Stick. I really think they are being unfair to this restaurant. My wife have been ordering from Thai Stick during short stays in the area over the past 10 years or more.The restaurant seems to do a very modest eat-in business, which worried us the last time we were here. But we almost always order to pick-up and take back to our room in a hotel across the street. The food is good, portions ample, and ready when promised, without any long delays that we have experienced elsewhere. We like Thai food, and I would rate Thai Stick a B or B- overall. Last night we ordered chicken larb, green papaya salad, and spicy eggplant. You can dial the hotness to your own preference. All the dishes were good, and we ended up with leftovers. I've given an overall rating of 4 stars. I think the food deserves a 3-1/2, with an additional 1/2-star for ease of ordering and quick service. Delivery is available, although we have never used it.

This was so disappointing, I don't know where to start. So much so, that I didn't want to review it. The restaurant being so empty on a Friday, should have been a warning. It's almost, like they've given up. The most striking thing, was there were no tables set for customers, at all. No napkins, silverware or menus. The decor was also so bland, that the restaurant didn't say Thailand... There were random items, boxes, a tv and a ladder leaning against the wall, in plain view. The one positive was our waitress, who was so nice and friendly, that she is the reason for the star. It went south, as soon as we received our water, sprite, and Thai iced tea. One glass of water had some white vegetable looking thing floating in it. The second glass of water, was so stain, you wouldn't drink from it. And When my girlfriend poured her sprite into the third glass of ice... Some green stuff came floating to the top! Luckily, my iced tea seemed normal and it was delicious. Right after we noticed this, we took a better look at the glasses and the silverware. They were so caked with hard water stains, that they looked dirty. The silverware was even worse. My girlfriend immediately said, "I don't wanna eat here"... I went to the waitress and asked, "can we please have our food to go", food was bagged and we left. On the way home we contemplated on going somewhere else to eat, but we had already paid $65 for this meal. We figured, let's go home, set the table and go from there. We should had stopped at Fiddlers Green. The See Ewe with Tofu was completely flavorless and I mean all of it. My Garlic Pepper Prawns were also flavorless and I honestly tasted no garlic. The Egg Rolls, also flavorless. Last but not least was the steamed rice. I've had better day old rice... In no way am I saying the food tasted bad, just no Thai flavor. It's like calling Taco Bell, Mexican food. The only item that tasted from Thailand, was the Thai Iced Tea. We were so confused after our meal. I'm not sure if anything here is made fresh daily. The noodles, vegetables, rice, tofu and shrimp, none of these fresh. Such a disappointing and confusing experience, and I feel so bad for a waitress, who was such a nice person. I did not enjoying writing this review...

Surprised by how many low reviews are here. Wouldn't call this place amazing, but it's reasonably priced with good portions. I got the panang curry with chicken rice plate and it was a solid dish. I asked for it to be medium spicy, but it was VERY mild. Unlike most local Thai areas I like that this place gives you the option of "rice plate" to include rice in your meal with a smaller curry portion. Service was okay. We were the only customers dining it, so it's not like we were competing with other tables for attention.

This is one of my favourite Thai restaurants in Millbrae. Foods are nice, tasty and balance. Not too sweet and sour. After that not too much fish sauce. Spacious and not crowded. We enjoyed all their foods. I forgot to took the photo of ground chicken salads, I love that one. In addition, Owner uncle is so nice and friendly. Fully recommended if you want to dine in nice foods and not too busy restaurant.

I called to order food for home and was greeted nicely when I arrived through the door. One of the few places left in Millbrae that have the hometown feeling with the prices you can't beat! There was a few customers inside dining and they looked very pleased with their dinner and the surroundings made sure that you could eat comfortably. Now on to the masterpiece I ordered yellow curry with optimization of spice level and I went with a medium spice curry with chicken. It was magical and also came with rice. I also orders their extremely tasty fried taro fries that came with tamarind sauce for dipping. You always gotta head there for that! Just make sure you eat it fresh because it gets soggy after it cools. I also ordered their pad Thai. That's my usual classic that I get that never lets me down. I asked to get it with chicken but it goes really with their shrimp too!

Food is decent. But they add a mandatory 18% tip on the bill. Even for one or two. Less spicy than I like. Fairly bland. Though the mango is good.

Ordered delivery and everything was lacking flavor. Dry tofu, flavorless spicy pumpkin and the fried rice was dull to say the least. I loved this place growing up but unfortunately it's went downhill. *no pics because nothing looked good enough to document and honestly, I wasnt planning on reviewing

Best Thai food I've had in a while! We've had the pad thai, the pad see ew, tomyum soup noodles, chicken satay, and larb salad!! Pad thai and chicken satay are both standout items - perfectly cooked and well seasoned! The lady who took care of us always welcomes us with a smile and was so attentive. Don't know why this place has such low reviews and empty tables ... please give this place your business! they deserve it.

My go to Thai restaurant, I'm OBSESSED with their yellow curry and get it with chicken. If you're wanting a fancy Thai restaurant, I would suggest looking elsewhere, but if you want a reasonably priced, family owned, authentic Thai food restaurant, this is the place

My bf and I were very hungry and there wasn't many places nearby that was open at the time so we took a chance on Thai Stick. Upon walking in no one but the stench of old carpet greeted us. That should've been the only warning we took and walked back out and find somewhere else to eat. We got sat next to an old tarp that smelled like bad body odor, another red flag. We ordered a couple of dishes to share. I got a Thai tea to try this place's authenticity. Before our food could arrive we and my bf watched a cockroach crawl across the table, we should've left at that point but it was too late because the orders were already being made. The Thai tea was extremely watered down and the food was so-so. Our waitress was rude and ignored us the rest of the time. Only when the bill came did she show any sense of "service". I paid and tipped accordingly, then she took one look at it and made us aware of her displeasure by scoffing, shaking her head and saying "unbelievable" What I find unbelievable is how she expects a a better tip without putting any work for it at all.

Such a sweet homey vibe the minute you go in. It's not your typical fancy decorated Thai restaurant but that is not what you are going for. You are automatically greeted by a genuine worker, who Sits you down while You are provided ample time to choose from their pretty straightforward menu. The pad thai is hands down one of our favorite flavor. It is not the typical saucy pad thai, which I love. The panang curry, satay chicken and bbq chicken were delicious. But I would have to say the pad thai is my fave. The night was wrapped up with a little history of this gem that has stood in Millbrae for over 30 years. Unlike other restaurants, I loved and appreciated that they did not rush us out of there. We will definitely be back for that mango sticky rice.

came here due to the only place opened late service was not bad food is just ok pad thai was just ok rice plate with chicken was alright the only thing i liked about was their hot tea perhaps everyone have different standards

This is our go to restaurant. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. If we don't eat there we get food togo. My husband loves the seafood soup with extra prawns and calamari. If you like good home cooked food you dented to try Thai Stick.

The food I ordered was pad Thai with beef, the noodles didn't have any taste, less sauce and cold. Service was slow, I waited for my order over 1/2 hr. The place was at the corner of the block so it's big and neat for dinner and groups, order something besides Pad Thai or go somewhere else if you want authentic Thai food

Weird place. While the food was fine as.... Food, it all felt a little bit not like most Thai places I go to. We got takeout here and sampled a few things. The fried taro and mango sticky rice was good, but the chicken satay's peanut sauce was very watered down, almost like a soup consistency. The crab fried rice was also not what I expected, heavily seasoned with curry powder and virtually no crab flavor. Price was average (fried rice was $15ish). Not sure I'd choose to get dinner here again.

Was looking for something to eat late on a Sunday and Thai Stick was across the street from my hotel. Ordered the Pad Prig with rice. Reminded me of some meals in Thailand. Wish I would have ordered it a bit hotter. The "medium" spice was adequate but I like my Thai food to make me sweat a bit. The depth of flavor was there just not spicy enough - but that was my fault as I was afraid to get the next level up having never eaten here before. If I'm in town again, will definitely keep this place in mind as an option (and order it a bit hotter).

Food is decent! I'm not sure why there's so many bad reviews. I like the green curry, mango, sticky, rice, and iced tea. The only thing I would skip out on is the pad Thai taste a little different than some other ones, but not bad service was good too. I'm not sure what people are talking about. They were very friendly.

Wow. Wow. I've been stupidly snobby and judgy, and so so so wrong. I love Thai Did but can't eat chili and spicy. Way too many Thai places can't cook with flavor but without adding a ton chili. This place never disappoints, e.g. their Tom Yum soup with tofu is incredible: screams fresh with mushrooms, tomatoes, and lemongrass, vaguely spicy and salty and sour. A perfect balance of flavors. Also love their vegetarian eggplant with bamboo shoots and basil. Ginger rice is a must, though their sticky rice is also fantastic if you like the texture. Bao, the chef came out from the kitchen because we had been telling our server, Zack, who is always on the ball with service and infinite kind. The price is right, portions generous, free parking everywhere abba right around the corner from where we live. Unbeatable!

**Very Limited Vegetarian Options** Looked up this place after flying into SFO . Even though the yelp rating for this place is not great, I thought Thai food cannot be too bad after all and decided to give it a try. However, I guess I should have skipped this place. All of their Thai curries are pre - made and contain meat broth / fish sauce etc , so not an option for vegetarians at all. Same is the case for a lot of the other dishes, so the options available for vegetarians / vegans is quite limited. I decided to have 1 of the stir fry entrees and the pineapple fried rice. They made it from scratch without any animal derived ingredients. Neither of the dishes had much flavor though. It was the middle of the day on a weekday, so the restaurant had only 1 customer and so the service was quick. The rating is mainly for the fact that the owner was conscious about vegetarian friendly dishes and made something from scratch for me.

I was a bit apprehensive coming in here, but Hubby really wanted to so there we went... The restaurant is spacious, plenty of rooms for larger party. It was about 1/3 full when we went on a Tuesday evening and there were quite a bit of people coming in for takeouts. The restaurant is dated, very dated, but it seems family owned, family run, there was even a young 10-13 years old girl who helped out with setting up tables. The menu was quite large with various options, the prices were very very very reasonable, on the lower range even..surprising for Milbrae. They offer all their meals either a la carte or as rice plates, wow! Usually, rice plates are for lunch only in other places. We shared a bowl of Tom kha soup, hubby ordered sweet & sour chicken entree and I had paid see ew with pork. Tom kha was rich in coconut milk, quite thick, flavorful, and the thai seasonings (lemon grass, galanga) were quite bold. Loved it. The bowl was the stone bowl (usually you see this at a Korean restaurant, for their hot stone bibimbab or tofu soup). Pad se ew had really great flavor, perfectly seasoned and had the smoky wok fragrance. Portion was good for 1. Hubby's sweet & sour chicken was good too, colorful with variety of veggies and pineapples. He liked it a lot. We also ordered a glass of thai tea. A bit sweet for my liking, but perfect for sweet-loving hubby. Service was friendly, the old grandfather was very sweet and kind. He was very accommodating to the customers and very helpful. Overall, not the best thai food I've had and the tiredness of the place could be a hindrance, however, the value, and the charmingness of the place and the fact that this is a family run, certainly elevated the experience.

And then, it's Wednesday, you're 400 miles from home, your plans fell through, and you're sitting alone in a hotel room wishing you could get in your car and drive home but you didn't pay for this conference--someone else did--and you really didn't care about the conference anyway, it was all about the fishing, but the fish didn't bite, and you lost three pawns, a rook, and the Queen, and you're in check, and Shawshank was actually on TV, but it was on TNT so they edited it for television and cut the language and there's no one to watch it with anyway, and I forgot my toothbrush and had to use that terrible one from the front desk until I could Uber to a CVS the next day during a break in the conference, and you're so frustrated and sad, you're mixing up your metaphors, and did I mention its only Wednesday, dammit? Yep, that's when you order Thai food in your hotel room on GrubHub, and eat all by yourself. Even though you were sort of hankering for Ramen and sake. Thai stick. Yeah, I know what it means [insert maple leaf emoji icon here, because it's the closest thing but the wrong color]. But it's also the name of this restaurant, and I didn't even read the reviews before ordering. I just clicked on Pad Thai and Tom Ka Gai, click, tip, wait 34-44 minutes, and it's here. Not sure if the person who delivered it also knows what Thai sticks are, but I'll bet she does. The food was A-OK-ish. Color of the Pad Thai was a little too gray somehow-- it wasn't, like, aesthetically-pleasing to the eye, but had decent flavor. Probably swung more in the two-star range, but to their credit, I asked for hot, and it had pretty good spice. Gets ya right here [pointing at cheekbone with middle finger to indicate approximate area of right sinus.] Served in a clear plastic salad container. Stay gnarly and BPA-free, Burlingame. The Tom Ka was also A-OK-ish. Arrived piping hot, which also swung this review into the three-range for me. Coconut milk broth was the right kind of spicy and had enough lime flavor, but pretty skimpy on the chicken and mushrooms. Too much ginger and lemon grass pieces in the soup. Hunks of whole tomato didn't improve the experience. The worst kind of kidding is kidding yourself.... the awareness of which is called, adulting.

Worst Thai food I've ever had. I ordered the Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. Both were flavorless and did not taste fresh. Both were not eatable. It's criminal to charge people for this. Would not recommend.

After months of not leaving the county I geared up for a trek across the bridge. What was heretofore a routine occurrence was now cause for anxiety; not the bridge-crossing per se, but the opportunity it presented: we were off to visit friends. Friends. I talk to them on the phone but seeing them in person? The thought nearly gave me a stroke. All 4 of us had been practicing social distancing and had seriously curtailed every activity that might've been even the most remotely risky but who knows? Who knows what that unmasked jogger who passed within two feet of me on a recent hike may have bathed me in? Who really knows? We sat outside for hours and when we finally decided to get Thai food we learned that Thai Stick was closed until 5 p.m. So we sat and talked some more then some present went to pick up food. Here's what I will say about Thai Stick's take-out food: * It is packaged very oddly. Inside of plastic to-go containers, rice stood alone beside a packet of foil. Into the foil they'd dumped/wrapped the entree. Since most things we ordered were in some sort of sauce, the foil wrap was an odd choice. It made me feel like a) serving size was small and b) getting at all of the sauce was unnecessarily difficult. Someone should rethink the to-go packaging here as it's definitely not showcasing the food optimally. * Then again... there really wasn't any food that was deserving of a showcase. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the food itself but this was not bold and vibrant Thai food. It was perfectly adequate, unremarkable Thai food. Were someone to again suggest Thai food in this area I'd likely say "let's try somewhere different this time" but if I lost that battle I'd shrug my shoulders and say "okay". Thai Stick serves Thai food that is far from best in class but still perfectly adequate. Perhaps it was healthy not to stimulate too many senses in a single day.

Yelp on the hours you have it incorrect and can you please change it. You show them opening at 4 am till 10 am. This should be 4pm till 10 pm Thank you. Been here several times over the years. Never disappointed

Enough of the haters! This place may not be super amazing, but I get my comfort food here. Thai Stick has been here for too long and it may not look as fancy or modern like other Thai places, but it offers the basic foods done right. My family's usually go-tos are spicy eggplant with ground chicken (medium spicy), silver noodle soup, chicken satay, fish samyung, crab fried rice, and the tofu and spinach in peanut sauce. I personally really like the silver noodle soup: it comes with lightly seasoned clear broth with loads of protein in it (shrimp, tofu, ground meat, fish balls), black wood ears and glass noodles. Some people may find it bland, but I like the simple taste and I don't get super thirsty afterwards which means there's not too much sodium in it. Portions are also decent, and prices reasonable. Service is always prompt and friendly. Plus, it opens till late!! I really hope Thai Stick can get more business.

Honestly, found this place when I moved here 15 years ago and I've moved away from here about 11 years ago and everyyyyy timeeee I'm in the area, I need my BBQ chicken with fried rice + egg. Something about it - for dinner or at 1am after a night out - just makes everything feel whole again. My classic comfort food. Interior decorating won't win any awards, but who cares. The staff is nice and you get classic tastiness without worrying about paying for extra frills.

I was hesitant to try this place because of low star reviews and the pictures on yelp weren't to appealing, but a colleague strongly recommended it so we came here for a work dinner. Food was good and the services was pretty prompt as well, but were the only customers. We had the appetizers, and the fried taro was good. First time that I've had it. I had the duck curry, spicy, and it was good. I didn't taste the spiciness right away but definitely could taste it after a few bites. Similar to other reviews, wouldn't call it amazing but portions were good sized. They don't have AC, so it was rather warm for dining in.

Surprisingly good pad Thai! I ordered some simple chicken pad Thai, spicy to go and they quoted me 10 minutes. It was ready right on time. Lots of chicken, drier stir fry versus really wet which I like and they definitely made it spicy! The vegetables were also nice and al dente. I only wish it came with some lime wedges to cut the spice. Serving size was plentiful and I'll definitely be back!

I Ordered the pineapple fried rice, see wee, satay chicken & angel wings. Do not even waste your time going to this hole in the wall. The portion of the pineapple fried rice was so small it looks like it was a serving for just 1 person. The ANGEL WINGS was so disgusting And the way they cooked the chicken they should've put that shit back on the skillet. it was not fully cooked. The satay chicken was ok and I got charged 3$ for some watery ass peanut sauce. The Thai ice tea was watery and the see wee was super oily. NEVER GOING TO THIS DUMP AGAIN! No wonder why we were the only ones eating there.

Karma. Human kindness. Screaming at customers and demonstrating rudeness is horrendous. Two male and one female worker slandered me for trying to rush to pick up my food order. You threaten me to "come and get it." Polish your communication. Paul, the owner, threatened me as well. Heartless, brutal and unprofessional. I demanded a refund for not retrieving my dinner and to be done with the ridiculous matter. Paul cares more about his ego than the community. He feels domination is morally correct in his world. The worst Thai order experience.

Couldn't dine out indue to Covid but we ordered all to go. Food had was prepared quick and service delightful. Ordered a nice assortment of various items from curries, crab fried rice and a great eggplant dish. All very tasty and flavorful.

Delicious Thai food and friendly staff. We order from here often and always enjoy it. Some of my favorite items, yellow curry, spicy eggplant with ground chicken, combo fried rice with Chinese sausage.

Interesting flavors but nothing tasted like the tens of hundreds of places i have been to a lot of ginger and odd spices made the dishes taste unlike what i was expecting pad se ew was not greasy which was a plus

Don't underestimate this restaurant! We drove by unsure where to go and stopped by this wonderful find. I ordered the pumpkin curry with a side of rice and my sister had the tom yum soup and kaprow. All so amazing and felt like a delicious home cooked meal. Next to the airport, serves wine and beer, and all around delicious.

The restaurant was nearly empty, with just one other group of people sitting inside. That was the first clue for me that I should've went elsewhere, but we stayed because we were quite hungry. The front door was wide open on a chilly night, and we felt the draft as soon as we were seated. The lady noticed we were uncomfortable and she went and closed the door before we flagged her down to ask. We looked at the menu and ordered a few of the "usual" items that we tend to order at other Thai restaurants. Our food arrived shortly after and we immediately noticed the appearance of the food that sat right in front of us. The pad thai did not look or taste like anything that we are used to. The color was off, the texture was off, and so was the flavor. Not good. The peanut sauce that came with the chicken satay was a bland and watery mess. We ordered a trio sampler, and in fact, all sauces served were flavorless and not authentic. The crab fried rice was orange in color and probably doused with flavoring because I did not see one chunk of crab anywhere on that plate! The Thai iced tea was also quite bland. Everything was quite basic, bland and boring. And to boot, they tack on a mandatory tip. Also, the man that stands behind the counter just stares at you all night and can make you feel somewhat uncomfortable. I also noticed a strange smell in the dining area after walking back in from washing my hands. I think that's why the front door was wide open - to air out the strange smell inside the place. Save your dollars and dine elsewhere.

Idk wat we had for dinner at thai stick to be honest that was not the thai food i have tried before. We decided to try this place out for dinner and the food did not taste,smell,or look like authentic thai food, if anything it was over seasoned, and laking lots of the wonderful flavors from real authentic thai food that i have tried before elsewhere. We ordered pad thai,crab rice,beef ribs with fried rice and chicken satay sampler and the only thing that i enjoyed was the chicken satay,the rest was laking flavor, texture, and it just didn't convince me . Also the thai ice tea was watery . Another wierd thing that i noticed was that the waiter kept staring constantly at my companion and laughing and giggling at the same time making my companion very uncomfortable. Imagine someone just staring directly at you giggling and laughing like my companion was some kind of amusement to him. Also when i paid my food they look a mandatory 10 dollar tip fee knowing dam well they don't deserve any tip at all . Save you're time and money if you find yourself getting dinner i recommend another thai restaurant besides thai stick.

Tomka $10 Pad See Ew $11 Tomka taste like vinegar and not much else. Pad see ew was extremely bland. I don't really use soy sauce on cooked food, but for this you need like 5 packets. The noodles came totally disintegrated, almost like they chopped up the noodles before they stir fried. I ordered take out and they said come in 15 -20 minutes. Showed up around 25 minutes later for them to tell us to wait 10 more minutes. I'm guessing they forgot to put in the order. I don't understand how you manage that with not a single table seated in the empty restaurant. Forgot why I never come to this restaurant. This place is like the black eye of Millbrae restaurants. Definitely one of the worst around.

Thai Stick is located directly across a Marriott property we stay at often. I've seen it many times and always wondered how the food was. We finally got to try it the last time we were in town and I was surprised that it was open so late as indicated by Yelp. The place is a little dark and smells of... bamboo? It's all over the decor inside and I was a little taken aback by that. The interior just seems off. Many tables of 4. No booth seating that I remember seeing. There are several TVs showing random things like Judge Judy on one and Family Feud on another from my observation. I thought that was just weird. Anyway, the decor could be better. The lighting could be brighter and the dark thin carpeting definitely has to go. We ordered 2 dishes to share. Beef pad see ew and BBQ chicken over fried rice. The pad see ew was good. It had good taste and wasnt dry. The beef was a good amount in this dish. It also comes with chinese broccoli. The portion size was good enough for 2 people... The BBQ chicken over fried rice was tasty. Sliced grilled chicken pieces served over fried rice and with a sweet and sour sauce on the side. It was a good dish and the chicken was moist. I was worried it would be dry but thankfully it was not. Service was not great at first. The lady that took our order didnt seem to wanna be bothered by being there at all that night. Then she kinda warmed up to it as she brought our dishes, checked on us, asked us if we needed refills and later... brought us our checks. It was peculiar and that's why I gave only 3 stars. Service should be consistent and consistently good if not great. Maybe you will have a different experience. The food was good though. Street parking only. Feed the meters.

First time ordering out from Thai stick.. was craving Thai food around the area but nobody wanted to take an order! Called Thai stick and the guy on the phone was so sweet !! That was a big indicator that this place is going to be good! I ordered pad see yew and their spring rolls. So fresh, so yummy. And it was done SO QUICKLY! Thank you so much for the friendliest service I've seen from a restaurant and being so quick with my order!! Will definitely be coming back.
