"Don’t let the strip mall (next to an actual strip club) setting deter you. Thai Street Market is a modern, squeaky clean shop with terrific service. The lemongrass salad is not to be missed." - Alex Lodner

It was not busy when we went. Waiter was friendly. Food came fast. Pad Thai was flavorful & just like how pad Thai should taste. I also ordered the steak & noodles and it was delicious too! Not too sour, not sweet but perfect blend of flavors. My husband ordered Papaya salad and pineapple sticky rice and that was very good! Papaya salad is Thai style so very refreshingly and clear (not dark like Lao style papaya salad).

Google
We ordered the chicken laab, chicken drunken noodles, papaya salad and pad kra prao with crispy pork. Everything came out fast and super fresh. Portion size was good and pricing was also decent. My only critique is the food was a tad too sweet, but it was complimented with other flavors as well. Servers were super attentive and friendly.

Google
I was really excited to try a new Thai place near us. We got the fried rice, peanut curry, panang curry and two appetizers. The fried rice was not fried at all, had a red/pink color and an interesting flavor. The peanut curry had no flavor to it and overcooked bell peppers. The chicken in the dishes was fine and the panang was ok. We ended up tossing all of the fried rice. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back. Our meal cost nearly $80.

Stopped by today for a quick bite after thtifting. Lots of takeout, we were the only dine in. Excellent service, food came quickly and was fresh. Best spring rolls ever!! I don't like when they're overly minty and these weren't. Great flavor to the meat, just loved them. Green curry also was excellent. Good flavor, nice spice. My new fav in St. Paul. My husband had pad thai and he really enjoyed it. Egg rolls were kinda bleh but overall I'm going here next time I crave it.

Google
The whole experience was awesome! We had done take out before but this time we dined in! The cream cheese wonton appetizers were amazing! The green curry and massaman curry were delicious! We'll definitely be going back!

Google
Oh my God.. where do I even start? This is it. This is the pinnacle. It doesn't get better than this place. The service is perfect. The waiter is so damn nice. The food. I could write an entire book describing the beautiful quality of it. I love this place so much. If there was ever a zombie apocalypse, this is where I would hide. If WW3 started, this would be my bunker. This place is absolutely blemish free, I love it. Eat here.

Google
Honestly, this place is too good for Rice Street lol. It's a nice chill place to get Thai food and it's always cooked perfectly. I've only ever seen one person working there but it's never busy. He is polite and always gets your food quickly.

Google
I am so glad to have this gem right down the block from me. The food is always fast and fresh whether dining in or taking out! Love the glass noodle salad for something light & the pineapple fried rice for some comfort food. I also love stopping in just for a Thai tea or ginger-limeade.

Yelp
First time visiting the Thai Street market. The restaurant is nice and quiet, and does not have lots of guests dining in. However, they constantly getting online orders left and right, so they must be loved by the people near by. We ordered drunken noodle and its lighter than others but it doesn't shy on the flavors. Our friends ordered Kra Pa kraw with crispy pork belly. Fried eggs with runny yolk. The dish was delish. Their yellow curry looks very nice too, the presentation is good. Their beverage was great too! We ordered lychee lemonade and Thai iced tea. It's a random find for us, it's out of the way. They are very good but nothing too special that would trigger us to come back to it. So we might not come back to a while.

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch here on the weekend--the restaurant is cute and quiet. We ordered the pad sii eew and the fresh spring rolls. The spring rolls were refreshing and light and came out quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by how large the pad sii eew portions were--the noodles had great texture and the flavors were great although leaning a bit towards the salty side. Service was quick and friendly and we enjoyed our meal here!

Yelp
I'm always skeptical when ordering through Uber eats I definitely was happy with my order. I wasn't feeling good and wanted some soup and the soup I ordered was very flavorful and exactly what I needed . The fried rice was cooked perfectly and was a good portion . I did get he pineapple fried rice and chicken wings as well and that was also very flavorful and had good portions .

Vivian C.

Yelp
Very fast service, but so fast that the food wasn't cooked as long as it should be. The spicy king crossing with beef had great flavor, but the green beans were a little undercooked. The pad Thai was pretty al dente, and was an odd reddish color and tasted more like tomatoes than pad Thai sauces. Both dishes were overly sweet. Had to take the pad Thai home to cook longer and season it properly. Also ordered the mango with sticky rice. Asked before I ordered if the mangoes were ripe and was told they were great. The mango was not ripe yet, but the sticky rice was good. Overall was a so-so meal but the service was friendly and fast.

Yelp
Excited to try this place as I love hole in the walls. Great - the curries are delicious, on the heavy side but very flavorful. Not so great- skip the egg rolls. I've rarely met an egg roll I don't love but that was the case here. It said pork but it was missing pork and not a fan of the thick, wonton like wrapper. My friend ordered the Tom yum and said it was legit. He lived in Southeast Asia for several years for context. Service is fine, aligned with what you'd expect at a dive.

Jarrod F.

Yelp
Day 2 of my business trip, decided to try Thai Street for dinner. Ended up ordering the Chicken pad Thai with crab Rangoon and a Thai tea drink. The meal was overall pretty good! Pad Thai could have used a bit more flavor, but the portion size was good. The Crab Rangoon (6) were tasty and the seeet and sour sauce was a bit thicker then I've had before, which I enjoyed. But the Rangoons themselves could have been a bit more crispy. The Thai tea was decent! No complaints at all. Overall, the meal was good! Check it out if you're craving pad Thai

Eric G.

Yelp
Ordered delivery on a snowy day without any issues! Food was 5/5!! Pad woon sen, pineapple fried rice, yellow curry, tom kha soup. All of these were cooked perfectly and had a depth of flavor I haven't had in awhile. Definitely among the better Thai food I've tried! Would absolutely recommend if in the area... Or if anywhere in the twin cities really.

Nick F.

Yelp
Though I'm feeling Mexican tonight and ordering from Tavial after 15 minutes of Larry David like indecision trying to find a restaurant, while looking at past door dash orders I saw the last order was drunken noodles from Thai Street Market a few weeks back, and laaaaaawdy I've never been so intoxicated with food from door dash as I was from each forkful of deliciousness those drunken noodles provided. Extremely flavor and generous portions, it was probably the finest meal eaten yet from doordash (Revival being a close second if you were to only count the first two times ordered from there years ago, because Revival has gone waaaaay downhill since and stopped ordering a while back from them for that reason).

Julia A.

Yelp
Thai Street Market is so good!! I got their drunken fried rice and their Thai Green curry with chicken. The drunken rice was super spicy and flavorful. The Green curry and a nice heat to it as well and was amazing ! I would definitely recommend and will order from there again!

Melissa R.

Yelp
I am a fan. Pad Thai, pork fried rice, but the best was the massaman curry we shared. Everyone was equally as impressed with the quality of the dishes. I would order from here again!

Susan H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food here. It tasted fresh and the place was pretty clean. If you order spicy, be prepared for SPICYYYYY! Loved it though. Had the drunken noodles (Spicy ) and Tom yum soup. Will go again!!

Happy F.

Yelp
I order delivery from here regularly and the food never disappoints. Best pineapple fried rice!

Shawn P.

Yelp
If you like Thai food, go here! I was visiting a friend nearby and decided to get takeout from this place. Sampled egg rolls, chicken satay, laab salad, fried tofu, and a 4* beef bustling Basil dish. Everything had fresh ingredients and was expertly spiced/seasoned. The egg rolls are small, quite dainty even compared to what you get at Que Viet, but this is a Thai place so no big deal. Satay was flavorful and came with a great peanut sauce. The laab salad was bursting with flavor and made for a great low carb dish for my friend. The fried tofu was CRISPY on the edges and firm in the middle, extra tasty dipped in the bustling Basil sauce. The 4/5 spicy bustling Basil with beef was just about perfect, plenty warm without stomping on the other flavors.

Esther J.

Yelp
My go to thai place in the twin cities! My usual is the panang curry with chicken and drunken noodles hot spice with beef. For some reason their beef tastes really bad in their curry but good in noodles. Their thai tea is delicious! It's super sweet at first but as the ice melts the sweetness level becomes perfect. Their green curry is good too. Things I didn't really like here were their desserts. If you dine in, the interior is very nice, quiet, clean. I think it's a good place to eat and have a conversation. They have these puzzle pieces on each table too that are pretty challenging to solve. One time, my husband couldn't figure out how to solve it before the food came out so we stayed like 10 more minutes after we were done eating so that he could accomplish it. We love the restaurant

Mary N.

Yelp
So, so good. Staff members are so kind. The order was ready as I walked in the door. Superior service. Glad I live close by.

Yelp
Ordered delivery for dinner one day and enjoyed it a lot. My husband and I were driving home one day and saw this restaurant on Rice Street. That same day, we decided to order delivery because I didn't feel like cooking and we are still currently experiencing a pandemic. Online order was fairly easy through Yelp. The delivery took only 45 min which was pretty speedy. I order the classic Pad Thai, veggie fried rice, chicken wings, glass noodle salad, and the Beef Tiger salad. The food arrived still hot which was pretty awesome. Pad Thai: the Pad Thai was great! Noodles were soft and the sauce is just right. I love the crunch of the peanuts and the splash of lime. The dish came together so well. Glass Noodle Salad: I always get this dish when I'm at any Thai restaurant. I enjoyed this dish a lot, the seasoning and dressing was perfect and it came with two JUMBO shrimp. I love how light and fresh it was. Tiger Beef: OMG. This one was my favorite. The sauce was sooo good! Spicy, light, and sweet. Will order again. The Beef wasn't overcooked. Veggie Fried Rice: love the fried rice. Perfect amouNt of sweetness. I've had other fried rice where it's overly sweet but this dish was perfect and not gooey. Overall, I would definitely order from this restaurant again.

Shelby S.

Yelp
Thai Street Market is great to stop in for a quick bite at a very reasonable price! Service is fast and nice. Food is great for the price range. I've tried both pad Thai and pad see ew. I like the thicker noodles so I'd recommend the pad see ew. Egg rolls and a good size and you get 3 for $5. The green curry was not my favorite but it was still good to try.

Luke G.

Yelp
The sign makes it seem like the food will be unsatisfactory, but the food was delicious. I ordered the Drunken Noodle with a "medium" heat level. The spice was tame for Thai cuisine, but the flavor was on point. The staff was especially friendly! If you're looking for intermittent entertainment, there are small brain game items at the centers of the table (i.e. unhook two chains... somehow).

Vickie M.

Yelp
So my girlfriend and I are in the cities for the weekend. We're total foodies and love Thai food. The wontons and the sweet and sour sauce were home made and delicious! Perfect sized wontons and THE best sweet and sour sauce we've ever had! The Bazaar was delicious! The pineapples were perfectly tender and juicy and all the ingredients were cooked very well with the sauce! My girlfriend said the curry sauce was very delicious: creamy yet not too spicy and she said the potatoes could have been cooked a little more. However we're both leaving here very pleased!

Rachel D.

Yelp
We've loved everything we've ordered here. The curry dishes are especially delicious, and the kids' meals are high quality and are a big hit with my kiddos. Highly recommend.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant several times now. Every single time it has not disappointed! My absolute favorite is the Tom Kha Soup! I get level 2 spice and it was perfect! My mom got the sampler platter and said she loved everything on it and it was a first pleasant tofu experience for her. The family who owns it is super friendly and welcoming as well which is always a perk! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a new spot or a local place to try out.

Emily Z.

Yelp
Tasty option for Thai food. Prices are super reasonable and the portions are huge. They're brand new (opened in January '18) so everything in the restaurant is super clean. My coworker who grew up in Thailand said this place was "fantabulous," so take his word for it! Food notes: Pineapple fried rice had interesting spices (kind of like yellow curry taste). Pad Thai was delicious with tofu. Pad see yew was amazing. I would definitely get it again, but wish it was spicier. Their tofu is cooked perfectly inside the dish and their noodles are chewy, wide and a good portion. The Thai tea is super sweet and it isn't my favorite it still tasty. Massaman curry was one of the best I've had. With a creamier sauce and very delicious flavors altogether. I loved the potatoes inside of it (good sized and cooked well). Drunken noodles were good but wish the flavor was stronger. I've had some with really intense flavors and was wishing this would be similar, but it's still good. Bustling Basil dish is cooked nicely with a flavorful sauce. It doesn't look the best but it's really good. Their lychee ginger lemonade was really delicious as well. Super unique drink and refreshing. It's on the sweeter side but it's worth a try. Overall, this place is one of my regular spots for yummy and reasonably-priced Thai food!

William D.

Yelp
Great food, large portions, clean table. I'll be back. A friend of mine from Thailand recommended this place as the closest to Thailand food you'll find in MN.

Monique H.

Yelp
Drunken Noodles. Yes. Always yes. I've had Thai Street Market on the list for too long without stopping by. I'm so glad the occasion presented itself. Located in a strip mall, Thai Street Market is a wonderful gem full of flavor that could easily get overlooked. We were greeted by friendly staff, had no trouble at all getting a table, and, within less than 10 minutes, our food came steaming and smelling amazing to our table. I had a hard time choosing between a curry or the noodles. I went with the Drunken Noodles with chicken. Those large stir-fried noodles are some of my favorites. The garlic wasn't too overwhelming and all the flavors blended so well together. I barely left a scrap on the plate. Their menu has so many items you'll want to come back for. I know I do! Curry. I'm coming for you next time!

Xue X.

Yelp
I heard a lot of this place. Knowing the area, I didn't have a high expectations for the restaurant. Boy, I was wrong. The place was really clean, beautiful vibe and just a great place to have lunch. Parking was not a problem because there's parking signs just for their restaurant. The service was great. The waiter was really nice and was on top of his game. The food came out quick. We ordered Green Curry with spicy level of two. (It could be hotter but it was my fault) we also ordered a stir fry dish (I forgot what's it called) it was chicken with green beans. I have to say, that dish was great! The spicy level was good. (Spicy level was a five) something about that sauce they had was so good! I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Keep up the great work!

Jessica A.

Yelp
Do not let this little restaurant in an unassuming run down shopping center deter you from getting some of the most authentic Thai food in the Twin Cities.. If you are looking for a no frills restaurant or take out that's efficient with a smile.. and craving Thai food.. You must make it a point to sort this small business. I've never eaten inside this restaurant but the following items are absolutely amazing.. You can put in your order right online and pay online. You get called by name and welcome right at the door with Great service. They make the food the way you want and with the modifications you request. Their food is consistent just like their customer service. I always get the noodle dishes. It's never overcooked and is perfect everytime. This is my new addiction.

Brianna R.

Yelp
We've been ordering here for years. Always amazing quality and taste, always fresh and hot. In addition, I used to deliver food for GrubHub/DD and they were one of my favorite places to pick up from - always on time and very organized. The staff is super polite and friendly to drivers and diners alike, and the restaurant is clean and well kept.

Joy S.

Yelp
We had the chicken satay, the chicken peanut curry and chicken Pad Thai delivered for lunch. The delivery process was VERY easy through my Yelp app and arrived in 20 minutes. Food was fresh, hot and large serving size. Having tried quite a few Thai restaurants in the area, I wasn't overly impressed by the food here. It was definitely good, but could have been a bit spicier. It fell flat and they didn't ask us for a spice level. I'll likely go back for more - the peanut curry was really good. The chicken satay had a texture that I didn't love but the taste was pretty good.

Katie M.

Yelp
My usual Thai spot was closed, I was so impressed with this place. The flavors were fresh

Kalia V.

Yelp
Don't let the size and location fool you. I've lived in Thailand for 2 years and I can say this is as authentic as it can get to the same taste in Thailand!! Plus the people are great and so friendly. Food is AMAZING! The restaurant is always clean and pre-covid they had fun mind puzzles on the table for those who like to keep their hands busy while you wait. Hopefully, one day they will bring that back. Love this place.

Jackie L.

Yelp
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Cities - the menu is smaller than some other places, but what they do, they do GREAT. My favorites are the laab salad, phra rambam curry and Penang curry. The people that own it are super nice. I have been trying to visit them weekly for lunch to support a local business during this tough time. I have never been disappointed in any aspect of this place. Worth a drive no matter where you are in the Cities.

Nikole M.

Yelp
Hubby and I grabbed takeout last night. I had the red Curry and he had the fried rice, plus a couple of apps. He said it was the best fried rice he's ever had and I want to try everything on the menu-so good! Will definitely be added to our rotation.

Megan C.

Yelp
The Tom Kha soup and fresh spring rolls here are the best in town. Pro tip: ask for extra peanut sauce, theirs is the BEST. I keep coming back for these 2 things.

Alan S.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We tried it for the first time a few nights ago and were very impressed. The atmosphere was nice and the customer service was great. My oldest son and I both ordered the pad thai and were not disappointed. Flavors were spot on and the portions were very generous. My wife ordered a chicken curry noodle soup and she was also very happy. The other thing that was really nice to see was a child's menu that we were able to order from for our youngest. All in all a very good experience that left us wondering what we were going to order the next time we go!

Hnou V.

Yelp
Ordered take out. Was not impressed by the food here. Appetizer sampler overall rating: (2/5) The sauces they came with the appetizer were uninteresting and bland. (1/5) Eggroll: (2/5) It was definitely well fried but the flavor was lacking. Chicken satay: (3/5) I liked the flavor on this. It is really dry though. Spring roll: (2/5) Not my favorite spring roll... It had ground pork and ice berg lettuce. I'm usually a big fan of spring rolls. Fried tofu:(3/5) Hey this was actually good. I liked the texture and consistency of the tofu. Peanut curry with chicken: (2/5) You could taste the subtle flavor of peanut butter. There was also a coconut flavor to it as well. But I really wished they had more curry and spice. I asked for medium high and it was not spicy at all. Overall the taste was kind of bland. Shrimp drunken noodles: (3/5) This was better than the peanut curry. However, it was definitely not the greatest drunken noodles I've had. We ordered a spice level of mild and it was spicier than our "medium hot" peanut curry. The spice that they used tasted cheap. I wish the noodles we slightly charred to bring more flavor. This is not a place I would go back to for Thai take out. There's so many better options in the Twin cities.

Alexis H.

Yelp
The high star rating isn't a lie! This was some of the best Thai food I have had in Minnesota. It was comparable to Siam Nara in San Diego. The tofu was crispy and the pad see ew was not spicy and tasted just like the Thai food I'm familiar with. The service was great and we received our food quite promptly. The food was cheaper than the Thai in San Diego and worth every penny!

M K.

Yelp
I'm a huge Thai food lover. I eaten at a lot of Thai restaurant in MN. This place was not the best. First time trying them out. Service was really good. Girl at front desk was super sweet. Inside is nice. But food...Lord! Kind of an embarrassment to Thai food. I'm Asian I eat Thai food all my life I was born in Thailand. So I know a thing or two. Here's a list of what I got and what I though of them. Egg roll: The worst! It was nothing but cabbage. Even tho I got the pork one. Spring rolls: No good. It was mainly lettuce. Beef Pad Thai: it was decent... Wasn't the best but pretty decent in flavor. Papaya salad: Omg just horrible! Papaya salad is supposed to have a lot of flavors. This one was so plain. Mango with sticky rice: Very yummy! I really wanted to like them bc their less than a mile from my house. But sadly I won't be returning unless they get a new chef.

Ashlie K.

Yelp
Very yummy authentic Thai food! Also some great prices for the portion size, you can easily share an entree and an app.

John C.

Yelp
We love this little diamond in the rough! The food is amazing! Nothing fancy, but oh the delicious flavors! The owner is a wonderful man! Support this restaurant! We must keep these authentic little places alive and open!

Laurie G.

Yelp
I stopped in because it was close by & I was craving spring rolls but I was left disappointed as they lacked any flavor at all. I also tried the drunken noodles & they were just ok. The restaurant was very clean & comfortable but I can't say Id go out of my way to go back again.

Jessica T.

Yelp
We went to dine in here for my birthday. The food is so amazing. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered the spring rolls (my favorite), chicken satay, pad see ew, and the peanut curry. Everything was amazing. The prices are incredible as well. We will be back!

Eric H.

Yelp
I was very satisfied with my meal in the early afternoon. The chicken Pad Thai was delicious! The fried egg rolls were a good appetizer with a mild dip. Highly recommend!

Maya H.

Yelp
Everything I've every ordered is fantastic. We have ordered delivery from this restaurant several times and our food always comes hot.

Greenlee Z.

Yelp
Went here with my sisters. There was only us there on that day. We got the pad Thai, chicken, and curry. The green curry was very milky and no flavor to it. The PadThai was ok it was lacking a little flavor to it. And the chicken was ok. Service wasn't the best. We didn't get our waters filled or anything nor did we get our bill. We had to go to the front while the guy was touching his phone and ask him for the bill. Probably won't be going back.

John H.

Yelp
Best Thai food I have ever had. Extremely authentic and great service. Family owned by two amazing people. Highly recommend!

William C.

Yelp
Having been there twice now. Overall very good and reasonable price. Not a very large of fancy but good food. My first visit was Sweet and Sour Bazaar. With pork $12 I liked it OK but maybe a little sweet for me. Everyone else of the 5 people really liked what they had. We also had spring rolls and they were good. Second visit with 3 other people, I had the Phad Thai. Really liked this. Others like what they had also. Cashew dish was well like both times. The desert ice cream is very good. The service was a bit slow but the second time but going to the front you could get to go boxes when no one is around. Also just walk up and pay when no check arrives. Last week they got the OK to serve beer and wine. We have not tried either yet. I still like the Thai ice tea. The ginger tea is also OK.

Saisunee N.

Yelp
Great Food. Original food from Chiang Mai. Everybody should stop and eat at This Thai restaurant. The food taste very good. I had papaya salad, Khao Soi, Spicy Khing Crossing. Another time I had Pad thai. Very good food. The Waitress very nice. They owner is a great guy.

Kevin B.

Yelp
Highly recommend the Khao Soi - definitely the best cities! Tastes just like it does in Northern Thailand!

Priscilla S.

Yelp
This is a hole in the wall find that serves amazing pad see ew and massamun curry. It's my favorite Thai spot and doesn't even appear on map searches so I feel like it's an undiscovered gem.

Rhonda G.

Yelp
It's chilly in here. I got the shrimp and salsa appetizer. Shrimp is nice and warm with a cool salsa. I got the lemongrass salad. That was very good as well. I needed something hot so I ordered a green curry. This was exceptional. They didn't drown it in basil. They julienne the bamboo shoots so they're not shredding in your mouth. She had packed it to go since I ordered it after the fact. I was cold so I sampled it in the plastic carton. Before I knew it I was eating out of it and had it 3/4 gone before I packed up and left. A wonderful addition.
