Pud Thai and Massaman curry with Chicken were very delicious. Crab Rangoon was crispy and also delicious! Atmosphere was great! Recommended!

Google
Gaeng keow waan, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Pad Thai, Kad Pao Subpraross, Guay Teow Rad Nah - were all good! 😋 We did carry out and the food was done on time. Also dined in and it was very cozy!

Google
Thai Taste never disappoints. It’s been a minute since I’ve eaten here…. It’s been a favorite of my family’s for 20+ years. I am so glad to see the they are still running a great business; the food quality remains awesome, the owner STILL waits tables and serves, and he continues to make his famous homemade ice cream. And wait - the prices have not increased…. I’m sure the prices are the same range as at least a couple years ago. Shocking considering food costs have gone up every where. Despite that, our portions were still great and the food was absolutely delicious. Pictured: #42 Pla Sarm Ross (deep fried tilapia), #37 Seafood medley, #40 Pud Thai with chicken, and homemade mint ice cream. Do yourself a favor and save room for ice cream. If you’re really wanting something special, save room for rum cake AND ice cream.

Google
I had a great lunch there on Saturday. It was simple pad Thai with chicken and it tasted great. I picked hot and it was just right for me. For reference, I am Chinese, so hot would be average hotpot spicy.

Google
10 out of 10 when I mean, everything was amazing from the food to the atmosphere to the service. Nothing took long. Everything came out hot steaming. If you ever go get the number 32 curry can’t remember the name but absolutely amazing.

Never Underestimate Great Success (Ya Boi NUGS)

We came for a date night, and found a quaint little treasure in middle of an unexpected location. Would much like to see the diamond in the rough, reach a much more balance playing field to display their amazing talents for the kitchen. Staff was very polite and items arrived in order. Tasting something old and something new, our pallets left very pleased and our bellies full. Thank you for the evening

Google
Recently moved to indiana, and found Thai Taste while shopping in the plaza. Absolutely love this place, and came back the very next day. I'm a green curry and Thai tea addict, and this was one of the best I've had anywhere. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service was wonderful. Despite being about 45 minutes away from my home, this is now my go-to Thai restaurant! I absolutely recommend!

Google
The waitress was really nice and efficient. Spring rolls were good. Overall the restaurant atmosphere is okay your norm small family restaurant. I hate to say it though I didn’t have a good experience after eating here. My friend and I got food poisoning. We both got a rice dish, mine was basil fried rice and hers shrimp fried rice. I contemplated whether or not, I was gonna post this, but it needs to be said to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I thought it could’ve been cross-contamination with someone contaminating it with a meat product (I haven’t ate meat in over 9 years) , but that couldn’t have been it because she got sick also. We were going to go to her normal spot, but because the reviews were high and this one was closer to where we tried this for the first time.

Yelp
Thai hot spot! I have had a lot of Thai food in Indy but this is my absolute favorite spot hands down!!!! The service is exceptional and their food is absolutely delicious ! We live very close so getting take out is amazing and always tastes like we were sitting in the restaurant, every single meal is made fresh and it's still steaming hot after you get home! The inside is super cute- mom and pop feel and the employees are all so wonderful, helpful, and nice! I crave this place and come here quite often!!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots to get Thai food in the area. When you walk in you can seat yourself. The staff is always friendly, and it's the same family who owns this restaurant. I ordered the pud Thai, mild. If you don't want any spice, you would enjoy their mild. I really enjoyed the chicken in this dish, as it was tender and flavorful. They have a huge menu, with tons of options. The waitress was very helpful too, and they can make suggestions based on what you like or are flooring for.

Yelp
I really consider Thai Taste the best Thai restaurant in the State! Every time I come here the ambiance of the restaurant, the kindness of the staff and the quality of the food is impeccable, The food it's always delicious and tastes absolutely authentic!

Yelp
Great food. The menu was huge and I believe I had the Thai fat noodles with crab Rangoon. My wife had the rice an curry and we both had a water and a Thai tea which was a good choice because the orders were a medium heat and it soothed the throat and stomach. I wish I was there when someone ordered the Thai hot I wanted to see their reaction on the first bite! Bathrooms were cleaned but outdated and dining area was clean and staff friendly and fast. Will come back when in town.

Yelp
Great option for Thai food. Everything was tasty and service was great. Pad that was good as well as put prikking.

Yelp
Great food and service! My favorite place for Thai food. The waiters and waitresses remember who you are, adding to their great service.

Yelp
We were shopping in this area and happened to find this restaurant and this was new to both of us. It was close to Valentine's Day and they had hearts tablecloths and served rice from a heart mold. Very festive and food was great! We both had our first Thai tea and it was good. I had a chicken with black mushrooms dish which was very good.

Yelp
I've gone to this place several times and have loved it every time! The food is so full of flavor it's absolutely delicious. I got the mango chicken and coconut soup and wow. They have a broad range of menu items and every time I've come it's such a treat. The staff is very friendly and quick service.

Yelp
We were very pleasantly surprised by Thai Taste. It's easy to miss nestled between Trader Joe's and Five Guys off 82nd Street near Allisonville. My son got the stir fry pork and I got the sesame chicken. Both were absolutely fantastic. And we shared an appetizer of fried tofu that had an absolutely delightful sauce. Service was very friendly and quick. The restaurant has a fairly quant atmosphere, and we both enjoyed our dinner. I'd definitely go back.

Yelp
Been coming here probably 25 years and have tried the others. The best. This time mate had Pud Thai (again), fried melon appetizer and I had fish and herbs. It was very good with lemon grass, garlic, sweet basil, lime leaf and ginger. I ordered it medium, but it was on the high end because of the chopped birds eye peppers. Disappointment, the old man is gone and the girl has some bored kids there, also no almond cookie with the check.

Yelp
I highly recommend this restaurant. It is small inside, but even on a stormy afternoon they were pretty busy. It's in a tucked away location next to the Penzey's off of 82nd St. I'm usually in grocery shoping mode so had not stopped before but it started pouring and I was hungry so I decided to not dash to my car with my bagful of spices and finally try the food instead. I'm so glad I did! BEST pud kee mow I've ever had, it was just the right level of spice in the "medium" heat selection, very fresh produce, super aromatic with the scent of basil. Great dish! The spring rolls were delicate and crispy, the silver noodle soup was flavorful and piping hot, the jasmine rice was aromatic and had that "just right" sticky texture. I had a lunch combo plate and it was really well-priced. Good value! I did a takeout order so didn't interact with the staff much, but my server was friendly and accommodating. Now, when I go out to do my regular Penzey's and Trader Joe's run, I'll make sure it's around lunch time!

Yelp
I hate to write this type of review. This rating has nothing to do with the pleasant and efficient service unfortunately it is the lackluster meal that only earned a two. The appetizers were good, not great but good. The dinner wasn't. . I've eaten Thai in many different restaurants and it always had one characteristic, complex flavors. This was hot with no other flavor. Basil fried rice is usually laced with the sweet taste of Thai basil this had no flavor at all. The curry no creaminess just heat. I am sorry to write this but this was my experience may be the chef was off that day? I can not recommend this restaurant
google avatar

Yelp
We just stopped in to try this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. They have a huge menu so everyone will be able to find something they like. The food was amazing. We also had Thai iced tea. It was pretty good but not like American tea. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. You won't be disappointed

Yelp
Absolutely love their pad Thai! With seasoning come with it just so amazing. Love the owner. Very friendly, kind, and respectful. Thank you so much. Can't wait to come again next Sunday! Much love and respect as always! Mo!

Yelp
Randomly stumbled in here but I'll definitely be back with a lot more people so I can try more of the menu. Very flavorful Thai food - literally everything was delicious. Papaya salad was tart and tangy in just the right way and was the perfect start to the meal. I went with the "hot" level of spicy and found it to be perfect - "Thai hot" would probably have been too much for me but for anyone who loves incendiary levels of spice I would recommend that. The shrimp and scallops in chili sauce definitely exceeded my expectations. For $18, the portion size was very generous - I finished maybe half of it - and the seafood was incredibly fresh. Plump and juicy shrimp that weren't rubbery and some of the sweetest tastiest scallops I've ever had. The sauce was also to die for. This is definitely my new go-to Thai place in Indy. Can't wait to tell all my friends and coworkers about this place!

Yelp
I ordered crab rangoon which had a pinch of curry in the cream cheese with a yellow tinge. Most pieces were good. Last couple bits got spicy. I ordered red curry with pineapple and green beans called Gaeng Kua Subpraross. I ordered mild spicy. It was super spicy like level 5, if 1-5 5 being hottest. I waited for the food temperature to cool and that only helped a little. I ate what I could a few bites with lots of time in between. When I laid down for the night I ended up getting sick. Lots food came back up which allivated some heart burn. It was entirely too spicy for a mild dish. I can not recommend the curry unless you like fire down your throat, sweating, nose running. Will skip in future. This restaurant is more affordable but not what I needed.

Yelp
Soooooo love Thai food! This place is bomb!! Everything I tried was delicious. I have been here a few times with my Indy family and we always enjoy the food and the dining experience. It's not a big place and gets packed frequently. I have yet to try the buffet. I believe they had it on Tuesday nights. Currently as of 7/16/20, no buffet due to Covid-19. I can't wait for them to go back in full operation. I'm looking forward to the buffet.

Yelp
Had the veggie pad Thai without egg and fried tofu appetizer. I thought the flavor was ok. They threw a surprise $2 extra on our bill. When I asked the waiter pointed to an obscure sign written in highlighter that said "$1 up on Entree"

Yelp
Truly one of the best Thai Restaurants in the city. It's small and unassuming but worth it! Favorites: Thai Dumplings, Crispy Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai, Garlic Chicken, and Tom Kah Coconut Soup is AMAZING. Oh and rum cake for dessert!
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
This may be my new favorite Thai place in Indy... a friend picked up a bunch of carryout and brought over for dinner last night. Everything was delicious! My son liked his chicken pad thai and the spring rolls (fresh, hot and crunchy), and my beef pud kee mow noodles were very tasty with lots of tender meat. The medium spice level was PLENTY hot for me. The only knock was the thom kah coconut soup seemed a little thin and didn't have anything in it except a couple small pieces of chicken and a few mushrooms, but the flavor was good. There seemed to be lots of good vegetarian and vegan options. Would try the yellow curry next time...

Yelp
This is my second time getting lunch at Thai Taste. The first visit was great I loved how affordable it was and very quick service. Not the friendliest but I didn't mind because the food was delicious. This visit I ordered the same garlic chicken dish. It came out extremely fast I was shocked I hadn't even finished my soup. So I go to take a bite and saw that my meat looked a little funny I also noticed my dish was very runny. To my surprise my chicken is raw see pictures to note this isn't an exaggeration. The staff didn't seem too bothered or surprised by this I decided to leave because who wants salmonella? My advice check your food throughly before consuming anything.

Yelp
When traveling Thai is one of my go to's. Unfortunately, this one is not a go to for me. I ordered chicken Satay, Basil Chicken and Crab Rangoon. Both appetizers were good. Not great or amazing but definitely good. The Crab Rangoon was flavorful with plenty of filling. The Chicken Satay was average good. Nothing stood out about it. The Basil Chicken was the least flavorful. The sauce was really thin and watery. I added broccoli and it was still raw. The chicken didn't have any flavor. It was supposed to be medium spicy but had no heat at all. The service was just ok as well. The lady was curt, not rude or anything just not friendly. My suggestion would be to skip this restaurant and try another one in the area.

Yelp
I rarely leave negative reviews but for this one I have no choice. After my most recent visit I will never return to Thai Taste. I went here for lunch around 2pm, and I was the only one so I decided to dine in. I love enjoying my meal at a quiet environment. I saw a little kid playing with toys in the back, which is very common at any mom and pop businesses. I did not mind him occasionally screaming and running around. That's what kids do. It didn't bother me at all. However, the lady who was my server, and who seemed to be his mother constantly yelled at him telling to stay quiet. I started eating my dish, and a few minutes into it she yelled VERY loud at the kid, and I almost jumped. At this point it was obvious she didn't respect me, a customer eating my meal not too far away. I had no reason to stay there and eat while hearing her yell loud, and decided to take it home. When I asked her for the box, she asked me if something was wrong with the dish, and I told her it's because she was yelling. She apologized. But then when I got my check, I noticed she charged me more than what the menu said. It was a few dollar more. When I checked with her, she said they raised the price but not all the menu books were updated with new prices yet. I don't like it when restaurants do this. I completely understand, with everything's price going up, they have to raise prices. But still I don't think they should roll out new prices until they update their menus, it should be communicated and informed to the customer who's paying for it. You shouldn't just charge more hoping no one notices or says anything about it. It's misleading. She adjusted the prices after I asked her, but at this point I have no reason to return. I have much better options in town where staff work more professionally.

Yelp
First time here. Came for lunch. We ordered shrimp fried rice, chicken mansaman. Pad Thai, and stir fried chicken noodles. Had no idea that each dish had rice , salad and coconut soup. This place will be my favorite Thai restaurant.
google avatar

Feresha P.

Yelp
Thai taste was wonderful , the food was very flavorful with a good spicy kick! The service was quick and efficient.

Dempsey M.

Yelp
I heard this place had great Thai food so I ordered some for takeout last night, and I'm glad I did! I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and it was very traditional and delicious. Everything tasted fresh, and the chicken was really tender. I got the fried calamari appetizer as well, they are good sized rings and didn't disappoint!

Erin N.

Yelp
Bland. Very, very bland. A friend ranted and raved about their food and we ordered the drunken noodles, pad Thai, and soft spring rolls. Both noodle dishes had no sauce whatsoever. The spring roll was supposed to have basil and herbs in it but just has yellowing butter lettuce and no flavor. Disappointed overall. Won't be returning.
google avatar

Nikia G.

Yelp
Wowwwwwwwwww!!! Please believe the reviews and the hype. Prior to coming here I've tried several Thai restaurants around Indianapolis and this one is the ABSOLUTE BEST. The service. The flavor. The quality & freshness of the meat and veggies. The atmosphere. The portions and value. Also they do not play with the spice either so be cautious. I've already planned a date to go back this weekend it was THAT good. I think next trip I will skip on the crab ragoons. Lots of creaming filling but very little crab meat to me.
google avatar

Britny T.

Yelp
I don't eat a lot of Thai food but this was amazing! It took awhile to get through to place a carry-out order but the wait was totally worth it. I had Pud Thai with chicken, extra mild and vegetarian spring rolls. The spring rolls were crispy, hot and flavorful. The sauce was sweet and very good. My Pud Thai was a huge portion and everything I hoped it would be. It was enough to get two servings and share a little with another person. Needless to say I will be eating here more often.

Yelp
When I'm on the North East side of town, Thai Taste is where I usually go for Thai food. This time I ordered the Basil Fried Rice, and once again, it was delicious. I've been here for lunch before as well and their portions were large and I usually have leftovers to take home. Beware, their spice levels are quite accurate. I ordered Hot and it was Hot. I know some other Thai places, I'd had to order more on the hotter side to get some spice, but if I did that here, I may have not been able to eat it. I do wish there was a little more basil, but overall, it was tasty. My friend who came later, she wasn't planning on eating, but after taking a bite of mine, she ordered one to go!
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
Thai Taste. Not only is it one of the closest Thai eateries to my home, but it is also one of my favorites! Look at the beautiful plate of food I created from the Thursday evening buffet, and then get to Thai Taste Restaurant just as soon as you can. Invite a friend to join you like I did. Thai Taste tastes twice as nice that way! And be sure to try the little green "frog eyes" in sweet cream! That is actually tapioca; the best way to cool down a spicy, flavorful meal.

Foodie W.

Yelp
Not the best thai in town. Curry tastes like it's a few days past its prime. Smells like old grease in the restaurant .

Yelp
I've been meaning to try this little Thai restaurant for a couple years now. I am so glad I did because the food was wonderful. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall on the corner of Allisonville Road and 82nd St. The dining room is tiny but seats around 60 people. The restaurant appears to be A family run operation. Regular guests are recognized. The menu is extensive offering Asian and Thai selections. We came with family on a Sunday afternoon. We started our meal with appetizers that included spring rolls and shrimp dumplings. The spring rolls were OK but the shrimp dumplings were wonderful, sticky and flavorful. We ordered meals to share selecting traditional Pud Thai, a chicken and vegetable dish and Pud Makua (a shrimp and egg plant dish). Each dish was served with a lovely plate of steamed rice. There was plenty of food for four people. The Pud Makua was incredible, my favorite dish. The eggplant was tender with a sweet, spicy sauce. The service was friendly and efficient. Our water glasses were kept full. The food arrived quickly and hot. The food was presented lovely on white plates with artistically cut flowers made from carrots. So good we came back for lunch later in the week.

Yelp
Stopped in during lunch on a trip to Indy for shopping. Very unassuming place from the outside, but it's clearly a hot spot as it was busy when we walked in. Man I wish I lived closer to this delicious restaurant! Lunch options include your choice of one of the two soups or salad and a spring roll. Since there were three of us we all opted to pick one of each so we could try all three. I had the salad and the dressing was fabulous. Both soups (Tom yum and silver noodle) were fabulous as well. My entree choice was red curry and it was divine! Perfect spice level (which the waitress told me she'd describe as medium) and so flavorful! I loved that there were green beans as I've never thought to put green beans in my curry at home (which pales in comparison to theirs). My son (11, pretty familiar with world flavors at this point in his life) was slightly overwhelmed by the entree names I think and settled on the chicken Thai fried rice, without onion and tomato. He ate all but a small bit of the very large portion and finished it off at home for his evening meal, still oohing and aahing over how good it was. My mom picked #9, but I can't remember the name of it! She ordered hers medium and decided, after eating pretty much her whole meal, she maybe should have chosen mild as she's not a huge spicy food eater. The rolls were amazing. I'm not sure how they make those tiny noodles inside so flavorful, but they do and they're awesome. If this place were closer, I think I'd be here constantly! I'm already thinking up excuses to make the 1.5 hour drive from home to come again!

Yelp
Best Thai in greater Indianapolis are. I have been to Thailand and this is the only place outside of Thailand i have tasted such authentic meals. I have been eating at Thai Taste for 15 years; it is still my favorite Thai restaurant and I get excited every time I eat there. The owner and staff will treat you like family, and you will be hooked!

Yelp
Wow, what a hidden gem. Honestly, I didn't really expect much out of a strip mall Thai restaurant with a super generic name, but this place has some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Also, it's run by a super cute old couple - great friendly service. The flavors are bold and unapologetic - tons of lemongrass, garlic, ginger, Thai basil flavors - all infused into their super rich sauces. If you're looking for Americanized Thai food - look elsewhere. If you're looking for the REAL DEAL - come here and welcome to FLAVOR TOWN. I went on a bit of a limb with the ordering and got a dish called "Fish with herbs." Two huuuuge and thick pieces of fish came covered with Thai herbs and it was served piping hot - with the fish still crispy from the fryer. Really fresh fish - great texture. Would highly recommend their seafood dishes!!!! Be adventurous and you will be rewarded!!
google avatar

Marc H.

Yelp
If you love fresh Thai food, this is your place! This was my first visit but certainly will not be my last! Small place located in a side strip mall across from Castleton Square Mall. I found them though Yelp of course! They offer carry out and dine in with about 20 tables. There were 2 folks working, a nice lady took my order and an older gentleman brought the food. I specifically went to get the Tom Yum Soup and it did not disappoint! So good, that I ordered a large order of soup to go as well! I also ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, wow so good and fresh! I ordered it hot, I could even have it spicier, but it was so good and fresh! Not sure if they do this all the time, but when they brought the bill, the also brought me a slice of some kind of yummy sponge cake. I highly recommend the Thai Taste Restaurant and I will be back, maybe tomorrow

Lindsey M.

Yelp
I went with my friend for lunch and ordered the Pud Thai, comes with spring roll, soup and rum cake. I took one spoonful of the soup and was like whoa, that is horrible, it was super salty, the waitress brought us salads to replace the soup, which tasted a lot better. I had a couple bites of my pad Thai and just couldn't eat anymore, the flavor was not like any pad Thai I have had before, I brought home my leftovers to my husband. I love Thai food, but something was off with the flavor.

S J.

Yelp
Nice hidden gem and the food was great, they were very welcoming and pleasant to provide additional details as we had
google avatar

Geoff M.

Yelp
Still great! I usually go for the standard Pad Thai, but I've liked my wife's choices each time too. The decor is simple but nicer than average. The menu has a large variety so you can come many times without getting the same thing twice.
google avatar

Blaine W.

Yelp
I forget how much I enjoy Thai food. My son has a nut allergy so we don't go often. I started with Chicken Satay, one of my favorites with the yummy peanut sauce. This Satay was meatier than I am used to. My main course was Pad See Ew w/pork. It had great flavors and a nice heat with my spicy request. Prices are reasonable with smaller portions than other Thai restaurants.

Mr. N.

Yelp
Food was outstanding. Service was fast and efficient. Nice little place and very cozy inside. I love Thai hot Tom yum... but wow! This place is truly Thai hot when it comes to the heat. I loved it but be prepared if you order it

Gregory P.

Yelp
The food is authentic and delicious! The service is great. We went on a busy weekend, but still got attentive service.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
We have been here three times now and this place never disappoints. The food is always fresh and tasty. Today I got the Gaeng Keow Waan Curry which is a green curry with coconut milk, bamboo shoot, green beans, eggplant, bell peppers and sweet basil. The menu indicated that this was a spicy dish and it was right. Typical of Thai food, even the mild is spicy so if you don't enjoy a kick, you might go with one of the items on the menu that don't have the little spice symbol on them. Fortunately, I do like food with a little kick, so this was right up my alley and I loved every bite.

Ronald D.

Yelp
Food here is authentic, it's ran by a family and they are always present. The service is very attentive making sure you always have drinks and what you order comes out hot and Fresh. The ambience is open sitting and a times very close and friendly!!
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
In a nutshell: Curry so good I asked for a to-go container for my three bites of food left on my plate. Great lunch special options (at least 15) for under $9. They include a spring roll, soup or salad plus a slice of homemade rum cake (I know, right?!). The atmosphere is a but dim, but clean. The service was fast, and nice but not particularly warm/friendly. The food was great! I'll return again!

Donpaul C.

Yelp
This is the greatest place I ever been I felt so asian. I went to here around 3pm and the food tasted like i was in paradise the noise was peaceful and really good will continue to go here

Yelp
I wanted lime chicken and manage chicken, but both were unavailable. I settled on glass noodle soup with pork and I loved it. My wife had another soup and really liked it. Chicken skewer appetizer was good. They only have one server and it's too much for one. Great takeout place!

Yelp
First, I am surprised that I have never been to Thai Taste since I do not live far from this restaurant. It was totally empty today when I ate lunch. Since it was my first visit, I chose to order the pad thia lunch special and I was surprised that the gentleman taking my order did not ask me what spice level I preferred. I am torn with my review because I like little Mom & Pop restaurants but the food was just off. I ordered the tom yum soup with my lunch and the version that they served me must have been cooked with a bunch of lemongrass! Wow was it sour. So sour it made my tongue somewhat raw. The 1 piece of tomato in the bowl helped to sooth my palate. I could have used a couple more pieces. Thankfully, the pad thai wasn't overly sweet like some restaurants tend to make it in the Midwest but the flavor wasn't overly exciting either. I didn't taste any garlic, I could not find any egg and the rice noodles were over cooked for my liking, plus it had no spice. I'm not sure that this is how they always make pad thai, but, to me, it was quite boring.
