The Best Thai Restaurants in and Around New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Beyond the usual crowd-pleasers, this Metairie Thai spot offers a slew of tasty chef specials. Try Thai Zaap’s crispy whole fish with chile sauce, or order it steamed with fragrant herbs. Duck lovers can get a crispy roasted duck stir-fried with basil and vegetables. Love that there’s a kid’s menu, from mac and cheese to nuggets and smile fries and kid’s fried rice. Super lunch specials are offered Monday through Friday, and it’s open seven days a week for takeout, dine-in, and delivery." - Beth D’Addono

Great place for some delicious Thai food! My "Drunken Noodles" (ordered it medium spicy) was so good. My wife's "Ginger Delight stir-fry" was da bomb! My sister's "Pine Apple Curry" had an amazing flavor! And my first time trying Thai iced tea, now I am hook. The service was great. Highly recommend this place.

Google
I'd ordered food from here years ago but this was my first time eating inside. The food is excellent with phenomenal friendly servers who are very accommodating of dietary preferences. In addition, the food comes out fast with nice presentation. Highly recommend this place!

Hidden in a parking lot on Vets is some yummy Americanized Thai food! Try the pineapple fried rice combo.! Main complaint is that the fried rice portions are too small for the price, for 20 bucks you should get a large serving, but this is more medium small. The coconut soup is delicious, as is the chef's special Golden fried soft-shell crabs. The mussels appetizer is a little underwhelming, but the calamari app is tasty, and the egg rolls are yummy. I am looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu.

The food here is traditional Thai food. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back! I’m really fussy when it comes to Thai food and this ticked all the boxes thank you. My vegetable green curry was divine!

Google
This is another one of those strip mall hidden gems. Came here after restaurant hopping and ordered their yellow curry. The place is not very busy for dine in- saw a few takeout orders, but we ate in anyway. The service here is AMAZING!!! Very attentive staff and kind. Their yellow curry was drop dead delicious and is a large enough portion to split between 2 people. It was my first time having it with potatoes, as the ones I’ve had in the past used a different recipe without them. This place has your typical Thai staples from fried rice, curry, and pad Thai and pick your level of heat. Their hottest spicy wasn’t exactly as spicy as most Thai, but the food is so good, it didn’t matter either way. While this place is a little on the pricier side with offerings at $12-$30 a pop, it is definitely worth a shot for the flavorful taste of Thai food. An added bonus is the water here actually tastes like it is filtered, unlike most places in Louisiana where the water tastes like toilet water and may be very unsafe to drink (No I don’t know what toilet water tastes like, but use your imagination, folks).

Google
Good food with quick service. All of the recommendations given to me by the hostess were fantastic and now I'm interested in trying out other menu items. It looks like the stuff I ordered was all Thai street food items.I did a takeout order and I was out of there in under 15 minutes. I really enjoy spicy food so everything was perfect. Just a heads up, Don't use the website to place an order. For whatever reason it sends the order to a location in Maryland and they always end up canceling the order. So just call your order in or do it in person. Its a good strip mall restaurant that's tucked away nicely. A good quiet spot with good food.

Google
First and foremost - loved the staff. Great people 🤍 Food wise - I am def not a Thai expert but back in Oct my friend in DC was waiting for me with some AMAZING Thai food. So since then I’ve been craving some Thai… sooo today I ended up coming to Zaap Cafe and ordered a few things. The food was a little on the sweet side for me, so I did end up adding spicy & my daughter added soy sauce. Edamame 5🤍 it was great. Beef Pad Thai 3🤍 it was a but on the sweet side for me. Spring rolls 2🤍 we didn’t love the Thai herbs. Beef Thai Rice 3.5🤍 it could have been fried a bit more for me. It was a tad sweet so I did go heavy with the spicy and my daughter went heavy with the soy sauce. As I mentioned - I am not a Thai expert so if what I explained is to be expected the food in 5⭐️. For all this we paid over $50 which I find to be a bit on the expensive side.

Google
Really good food but I find they are very inconsistent when it comes to spice levels. I often order drunken noodles with medium spice and sometimes it is not spicy at all (think they forget to add it sometimes). So I started ordering it spicy and sometimes it’s good and other times it is absolute inedible. Need to be more consistent with what each spice level is so I know how to order

Yelp
I eat here alone at least once a month. It's an older spot, but it's consistent and delicious. I always get the blanket shrimp and the crispy pork. It's ALWAYS the same!!! The service is good, and the ambiance is pretty typical but clean.

Yelp
Honestly, it was my first time in New Orleans and I needed some Asian food. I had the papaya salad, I asked for Laos style but it tasted more Thai than Laos. I got the pad thai chicken which was amazing and I got pineapple Fried rice I never had it with cashew and raisins before, pretty good and their Thai tea perfect !

Yelp
After shopping in the nearby stores, my family and I decided to try out this restaurant. What a great choice we made!! We were immediately greeted and sat down. The owner and staff are extremely kind and attentive. I even noticed that frequent customers would come in and they were always greeted so nicely. As for the food.... It was phenomenal! We started with a seafood salad (not fully pictured) and the crispy spring rolls. The owner gave us extra sauce! The spring rolls were hot and crispy and the seafood salad was fresh and had great taste. We then split a large bowl of tok khar (coconut chicken soup with great aroma and so creamy) and we also had a plate of Pad Thai. Can't ever go wrong with Pad Thai! The food was all so good we came back the following week for me. The owner remembered us and warmly greeted.

Yelp
I would love to leave a review on Thai Zaap's food, but I never got past the terrible customer service. I have a soy allergy, so each restaurant I go to, I have to call and see what oil they use, so I can figure out what to order. It's especially hard finding restaurants that don't use soybean oil since food prices are so high. I called Thai Zap and a woman answered the phone and said they use vegetable oil. Most vegetable oils are soybean, but some are combos of different kinds. I asked if she would please check and she said, "I told you vegetable and that is my answer. I think you can do better cooking for yourself." It was disappointing, but I ended up at Cafe Equator and they took care of me. Moral of the story, if you have food allergies, just skip this place, they will not accommodate or even inform you of their allergens, which is pretty careless.

Yelp
Very disappointed to get my food delivered and see these tiny portions and not great taste. My hot and sour soup had 2 shrimp. Papaya salad was TINY, not the right flavor and no peanuts, small shrimp, greens or anything. Feels like I got half of what o really paid for. A sad Thai meal.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. I grew up in Chicago, where there is an embarrassment of riches where Thai food is concerned. However, in New Orleans, it is just an embarrassment. There are a few decent options, but I've been on a quest to find something that reminds me of the Thai food in Chicago. This is it. The space is just a hole in the wall and a strip mall. but the food and service were outstanding. I ordered the pad woon sen lunch special, which came with one fried spring roll. For an appetizer, I got a fresh veggie roll. The fresh roll was stuffed with mint, as it should be. It came with plum AND peanut sauce. This was so delicious and refreshing. The vegetarian pad woon sen was delectable and tangy, with chunky veggies and egg. I asked for hot sauce and they brought out a caddy with authentic chili garlic sauce AND the good, fine type of crushed chili flakes. This is when I knew I was dealing with authentic Thai. The server was attentive, polite, and professional. I might start driving to Metairie to run errands just to eat here. Five stars.

Yelp
Excellent!!! love the papaya salad and the pad Thai perfect to the taste.., will come back again when in town

Yelp
GO! GO! GO! I've eaten all over Thailand and this restaurant matches all the great places I ate there. I've been to TZCafe about 10-15 times now (literally) , ordered delivery about 4-5x and everything is consistently delicious, clean restrooms (always a good sign of what the kitchen is like), and a kind/attentive staff. I could drink their TomYum soup by the gallon. Their Papaya salad is fantastic. I've had several entrees and they all are simply great (too many to type here). A friend of mine is a "snobby Thai" picky eater & she always wants to go there. Ha! You won't be disappointed!

Bridget S.

Yelp
Food was extremely tasty and hit the spot for someone craving Thai. Great portions as well. My main reason for my 5* review is for the owner/server; she's SO sweet, bubbly, and gave the best service I've ever had!

Yelp
This place was quite the surprise. Came here after work to meet some family and boy did it not disappoint! It literally blew me away at how delicious the food was! Small places like this don't deserve the recognition they deserve and I hope I can make a little difference writing this review! The food came out super fast and straight from the kitchen! Everything we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend the Crab fried rice! That was everyone's favorite. If you like spicy food, don't sleep on their chili powder! Just ask for it on the side! It packed a HUGE KICK which was perfect for the spicy lover like me!

Yelp
I ordered dinner from here for the family one night and got it delivered. We shared some appetizers, Crispy Spring Rolls $8.00 for 5 count and Thai Zaap Chicken Wing $9.00 for 5 count. The spring rolls were okay, pretty basic nothing special. The chicken wings were also just okay, good crunchy breading but again pretty generic. For my entrée I got the Shrimp Pad Thai $18.00. This was quite flavorful overall but the ratio of shrimp to everything else was a little off to me. Overall it was okay, a little pricey for what it is but not bad in a pinch.

Yelp
Food is really good and fresh even with me doing take out instead of eating in the restaurant . This was my first time having pad Thai and the lady at the front was nice and explained the food I had questions about.

Vanessa Z.

Yelp
Love this place! What a sweet little thai lady that helped me out, first time going. She couldn't have been any sweeter! And the food was some of the best pad Thai ive had. Fresh rolls were good too as well as the complimentary fried roll. Thanks Thai Zaap for a delicious lunch! I'll be back!

Yelp
Honestly so disappointed with this place! I discovered it on the Eater for best Thai food places in town. Ordered the red pineapple curry (very watery) and the Thai chicken (the sauce cap melted and so all the sauce spilled all over the box in the take out bag. The chicken was unevenly cooked with more of a dry breast). Wish it was a better experience but not all that pleased.

Yelp
I regularly order delivery from this restaurant. Tried something new last night, beef salad. Knocked my socks off. Who would have thought? Salad is usually yucky next day. It was even better tonight than last night. The portions at this restaurant are huge, always more than enough for one meal. My favorites are the pad Thai and green or red curry's. I haven't taken the time to write a review in a long time, but this place deserves 5 stars so I'm taking the time.

Yelp
Excellent food. Huge portions! The garnishes served with our apps were a meal in themselves. Service at the front door was a bit unfriendly but we ate at the bar and the bartender was awesome! We took his recommendation for ordering and he was spot on! Will definitely go back to have a new ordering adventure!

Yelp
Ate here Friday night. Steamed buns, beef salad and fried eggplant with pork and chicken were awesome! Server (owner?) was a doll. Great service

Yelp
I love this place those my favorite dishes when I come here to eat plus there lemonade freshly squeezed yummy
google avatar

Priscilla W.

Yelp
I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and Cream Cheese Egg Rolls. The noodles in the pad thai was lumpy and stuck together and the egg rolls weren't rolls at all. They were crab rangoons. Thoroughly disappointed and would not recommend.
google avatar

Jovan W.

Yelp
I ordered my food at 12:18pm so that it can be ready when I got there at 12:50pm! It was NOT. From the looks of things they didn't print my order out until 12:45pm which was and whole 30mins waisted time. I'm not sure what the portion size is when dining in, but the takeout size is HORRIBLE. Then I told them medium spice. I guess their definition of medium is still spicy. I WOULD not recommend this place at all. I couldn't eat the food because it will was too spicy
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
highly recommend! i ordered takeout today and the woman who took care of my order was extremely pleasant and very personable! the restaurant itself is very tidy and decorative, cute! now for the meal, i ordered the chicken pad thai and it was AMAZING! this is the first non-fusion thai restaurant i found and i absolutely will be back !! all 10s

Yelp
DIRTY!!! This place is soooo dirty. It wasn't till after we ordered and ate that I really saw how dirty it was. The food was soooooo good, but once I got up and walked to the restroom and saw more of the dining room, hallway, and the kitchen, I didn't even want to take my leftovers home! It's so sad because the food was great and our server was so fun. I just can't bring myself to go back though.
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered the masaman curry and the crab fried rice and the portions were hugeee. The fried rice could've added a bit more seasoning to it though, but the masaman curry had a spicy punch to it, which made it well worth it. * * Even though the appetizers were good, they were quite too small though for my liking so I prolly would skip on it next time.

Camille D.

Yelp
The Pad Woon Sen served was over sauced and not tasty at the lunch price of $14.00 with 4 medium small shrimp and a cold spring roll. When I told the waitress it was disappointing because it tasted like warmed over food, she insisted that it was cooked to order. I cook stir fry at home and I doubt that this was cooked to order. She then told me that I could quit coming there, that she cooked all the food and it was cooked to order. She was very loud and rude, I am sure the other customers heard her. I will not be back.

Yelp
The food was top notch, and the staff is so welcoming and attentive. Thank you so much.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining here last week while my car was being fixed nearby. I was with my son who also enjoyed the place. I'll start by saying the service we received was exceptional. The lady that took care of us was accommodating and very pleasant. I ordered wontons and they were hot, crispy, and I must say I ate them all. I also ordered Pad Thai and my son ordered Thai fried rice with shrimp. We shared and we were both satisfied Ann's have some to take home. We discussed that we would return due to the prompt service we received, the friendly people, and the excellent food. The restaurant is located to the rear of the shopping center where TJMaxx and Home Goods are. There is a huge parking lot and after eating, we walked off our meal while browsing until the car was ready.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our lunch here! First off, any restaurant that starts with something complimentary always gets an extra plus in my book. They served us spring rolls with a sweet sauce in the cutest yin and yang dishes! The Panang curry was delicious. It had all the classic herby flavors and vegetables to top it off. I ordered mine spicy and it was perfect, but for my taste I'll probably get extra spicy next time since I would've liked a little more heat. I'll also probably add eggplant next time bc I wasn't a huge fan of the sliced corn, could've used a bit more variety in veggies. The drunken noodles stole the show. The meat was very tender and saucy, with delicious veggies, and the flat noodles were great texture and taste. I put a bit of this into my panang curry and it was sooo yummy! Definitely recommend. Also really cute decor, very calming and zen with nods to the culture. Great service as well, quick and attentive! If you like Thai food or are looking to try some, this place is a great choice!

David D.

Yelp
I eat a lot of Thai food. I always came here when it was under different owner and management (and different name). Food is still good though. Service is OK, could be better.

Yelp
Love the Tom Kha and the curries here do not disappoint! Quick and super friendly service.

Yelp
Great experience with delectable menu choices. Will return for the fresh basil dishes and homemade spices offered tableside. The owner was a joy to meet and so very attentive. Making me hungry writing this review. See you soon!

Yelp
TAKEOUT ORDER: Decided to support this business after doing some light shopping at HomeGoods..ordering online was pretty seamless and took abt 15 min. This was the first time I have chosen to get my Pad Thai with Shrimp with medium spice. It was a bit too spicy..I felt like the spice overshadowed the flavor of the pad thai. The shrimp didnt have the same flavor of the dish. Overall it was good but I will def try the pad thai again minus spice.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty busy Thai in busy plaza, about 1/4 dining but several people already for takeout in only few min. With only the couple, and maybe few more in the kitchen, they are busy! But drink and appetizers came out quickly. Good menu and options, great Thai food too! 4 Spice levels seemed standard, but even the mild had a little kick! They also seem to do Uber eats, great place but a bit busy (which is good thing now). My Padthai was smidge soft.
google avatar

Yelp
First visit here I would have given a 5/5 hands down. I opted to get Spicy Shrimp Pad Thai and the portion size was average but the flavor was packed tight. I asked for extra chili powder to give it even more kick and man, that stuff is potent. The lady working the counter was super friendly and helpful. Second visit was more like a 3 star experience in my opinion. Over the phone when I called in my order, the guy was pretty rude but I ignored it, whatever. When I went to pick up the food the guy was rude again, arrogance is not the key to a successful business. But I ignored it and went home to try my Thai Chili Paste Seafood. I was mildly disappointed in the portion size, especially for the price. There was plenty sauce, plenty vegetables, but 2 shrimp, 1 scallop, 3 clams, 3 thin cut pieces of squid for $20. The sauce would have probably been better if it was thickened some but the flavor profile on the dish was huge. I really enjoyed the taste of this dish, and there was plenty of white rice to eat with the fish.

Yelp
The best thing that sums up my experience here is "inconsistent". My husband and I ordered tom yum and tom khar soups, Thai chicken wings, panang curry and pad Thai. All with chicken. And all medium spice level. The soups were boiling hot, but had no spice. The tom khar was initially kind of watery, and the tom yum tasted mainly like salt. We got some chili oil and after spicing them up, it brought out a few of the more subtle flavors in each soup. However, the chicken was strange. My husband liked his? But mine had these black markings on it, it looked like faded sharpie. I did not eat any more of the meat in the dishes after that. The wings were super hot (temperature) and super crispy. But other than the dipping sauce, they had no seasoning whatsoever. My husbands panang curry was delicious- and spicy! My pad Thai was incredibly bland. It needed more heat, more sweet and more sour/lime. I ate a little under half, with some of my husbands curry on top. The service was okay. I had to go up to the counter and wait before I was noticed for the chili oil. But our drinks got several refills. One complaint was that the chicken came out before we were finished our soups and then the rest of the food came about 3 minutes later. So we were trying to eat everything at once. We probably wouldn't come back, but wouldn't be opposed if someone else suggested it!

Yelp
We decided to get take out for lunch today and Thai Zaap was conveniently close by. The ordering and pick up process was very quick and easy. We ordered Thai Fried Rice w/ beef medium spicy, Thai basil stir fry w/ pork medium spicy, and Drunken Noodles w/ chicken Very Spicy. All lunch entrees comes with a complimentary crispy spring roll which was super yummy! The drunken noodles were good and the very spicy level came with lots of dried spices on top and it was tolerable (we could've handled even more spicy!). The Thai basil stir fry was decent but I felt the portion was on smaller end. Our favorite was the Thai fried rice! It had the most flavor and it was so yummy we kept going back for more until there was no more . Definitely will be back to try more dishes!

Yelp
First time today. Got two free spring rolls. Ordered shumai, steamed mussels, chicken Tom Khar, chicken Pad Woo Sen, beef pad thai, spicy seafood stir fry, and mango rice to go. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. I personally am not a huge fan of mussels and they seemed a little old to me. Shumai which is a favorite of mine were chicken exactly what I wanted. The spicy seafood stir fry wasn't spicy, could have used some heat. Tom Khar was so dang good, fresh tomatoes and mushrooms. Pad Thai and Pad Woo Sen were freshly cooked and so good. Saved the mango sticky rice for home. Fiancé ordered Sapporo beer which came with a frosted mug. The waitress was so sweet and helpful.

Yelp
3.5 stars if I'm being honest. The website ordering system said it'd take 20 minutes. I showed up in 40 minutes because those things are always off, and I still waited for another 5 minutes. Really, it's not a big deal, but it is worth mentioning. We got the drunken noodles (excellent), Tom Zaap soup (great), Spicy Fried Rice (ok), Pad Thai (different than most places in style, and just ok). Something about Thai food is it always tastes even better the next day, and I'd say that it was definitely true of this place as well. The staff/owner was very nice and the place was very clean.
google avatar

Elenora B.

Yelp
When walking into this restaurant, I had low expectations for how the food would be. It was a hole in the wall, not very busy, and I had never heard anyone talk about it ever. However, it's safe to say that the dish I ordered was hands down a top ten favorite dish of mine. I ordered the Beef Pad Woon Sen with medium heat and it was AMAZING! I'm not exactly the biggest fan of spicy food, but the dish was delicious despite it being spicier than I expected. Also, their lunch menu had some great deals! 12/10 would recommend this place to anyone!
google avatar

Yelp
As you walk into Thai Zaap Cafe you find plenty of seating with adequate space to talk within groups or to have a more private conversation. The decor is cute and inviting. The wait staff is very quick to seat you and is very pleasant and helpful when asking questions about the menu. The selection of Thai food is in no short supply. They offer a wide selection of all dishes and from what I could tell, everyone liked the taste and flavors. My Thai fried rice was a nice portion as I could not eat it all and had them box up half for later. The banana ice cream was phenomenal. Deep fried breaded bananas surround a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. It is well worth the try if you have the stomach space.

Yelp
I ordered lunch for my family on their website for delivery. About an hour later I called them to check on the status of the order. The employee stated the food was ready but still at the restaurant. I told her it was ordered for delivery and she stated she didn't know anything about them delivering food and couldn't help me. She said she would call a manager and call me back. I never got a call back so I called them back another hour later. Now they stated the food was on the way. I told them at this point I did not want it but they refused a refund due to it being 'on the way'. Another 30 minutes went by and they call me stating the food will not be coming and would refund me. I will have to wait and see if the refund actually goes through.

Yelp
One word - Superb. Service - Excellent. Our waitress Nong was on top of it. She was super friendly and attentive. It was so evident that she loved her job and enjoyed serving and feeding us! Food. My hubby ordered the jasmine iced tea, which he loved. We started off with Tom yum soup (hubby) and veggie spring rolls (me). We both enjoyed the starters. We received complimentary fried noodles. They were s little tricky to eat and nothing too memorable, but nice touch to provide. The Spicy Eggplant dish is a MUST HAVE for an entree. Wow. So delicious! A generous portion of fried eggplant in a spicy sauce with peppers and veggies. It is served with shrimp and your choice of chicken or pork. Since I'm a pescatarian, we did not get chicken or pork and opted for extra shrimp instead. The flavors melded t together perfectly. It was a nice portion and I'm sorry I couldn't eat more. Soooooo good. Atmosphere - we visited for an early dinner, so there was only one other person dining. There were several to-go orders throughout our time. But it was a nice experience. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again during our next visit to NOLA. I saw mango fried rice on the menu and want to try it next time.

Yelp
I am actually surprised to read the reviews below that go along the lines of praising Thai Zaap for its great service and that is because I feel like that is the one thing this place was lacking. Hit this place for lunch real quick and realized that the dining area is pretty spacious. We sat for about couple of minutes just to come to a realization that there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant! It was around 12:40-ish therefore just about the right time for lunch yet I only saw one lady getting order, carrying water and delivering food plates. all. Lunch deal goes from $8-$13 depending on the protein choice. The food itself was not that bad at all. It did have flavor and kick for sure. The portion was, by far, the smallest out of all the Thai places I have been to in New Orleans/Metairie area but considering that my plate was $8, I could suck it up. If I were starving so bad, I think this Asian could have slurped three orders by herself. A complementary spring roll is served with water at the very beginning by the way. Overall, not bad but I have been to better Thai places.
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Lunch specials at $9-12 with many options offered with any kind of protein (chicken, beef, shrimp, pork or combo.) Fresh ingredients, full of veggies and flavor with dishes offered at any spice level - to your taste. Thai Zaap is a bright, happy decorated space with great, clean Thai food at reasonable prices with good service tucked in the back of the strip mall on veterans. I stop in after my Home Goods shopping for a healthy, yummy Thai fix. I love red curry they do a good version, including a version with pineapple. My friend had the cashew chicken and it was delicious, such a flavorful and balanced sauce. Highly recommend!

Maryann B.

Yelp
This spot deserves some serious attention. The waitress was exceptional, really helpful, and attentive. Egg rolls fresh and crispy have been delicious and perfectly flavored!! The sauces are fantastic! Coconut curry soup with shrimp was amazing, full of shrimp, mushrooms, and packed with flavor. The yellow curry with chicken was to die for. I highly recommend trying this place!!!

Yelp
Honestly, I've been passing this place up because I judged the book by its cover. The restaurant is in a strip mall and the store front definitely captures that vibe. I refused to accept that any decent food could come out of a place that looked so...spurious. Outside appearance aside, you walk in and the decor is actually kind of lovely. I was concerned that we were the only people seated, but soon realized most of their business comes from to go orders. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly, she joked and laughed with us and had no problems explaining the menu or recommending her favorites. She even commented that the boyfriend had beautiful pink skin . Fresh flowers adorned each table and there was something to see everywhere you looked. We must have hit it on a good night, the food was on point. My boyfriend, who had never eaten Thai, fell in love with the Tom Kha soup and duck in red curry. I had Tom Yum and Pad See Ew. The spice was perfect for everything. The noodle texture was spot on. Our waitress brought us a variety of spices and sauces to add more heat to our dishes. I deducted a star due to lack of staff. Thai Zaap is seriously understaffed. There was only the one waitress handling tables and take out orders, bussing tables and I'm pretty sure she was helping to plate food and box up to go orders. She hustled and remained friendly though. I'm eager to try other curries and soups the next time we go.

Yelp
They closed at 9PM, but at 8:12 the young lady said that we can only get to-go. Even the sign said that they close at 9. We were looking to dine in because everyone said that the customer service is excellent. As we were getting our daughter in her car seat, the lights went off in the place and the open sign was cut off. Even if we had gotten to go, I'm not sure if the food would have been fresh since they were so anxious to go.

Yelp
Absolute gem in the middle of Metairie. Fast, cheap, great service, and, most importantly, delicious food. Wife orders takeout from here all the time, but we came in on a Friday night and there was no wait. Crispy Won Ton appetizer came out in about 30 seconds and was tasty. Pad See Ew entree was also tremendous. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
The Glass noodles, curry, and Thai tea were all the best I've ever had. Kudos to the chef.

Yelp
The service was great! The place and the menu were a lot bigger than I expected. We are big fans of thai food, and have tried most of the thai restaurants in NOLA area. Let me tell you that this place is in my top 3. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars is because they did not ask us how spicy we wanted the food, and they just assumed that mild was OK. I am not a fan of mild thai food. Regardless, the flavors were very good. We started out with a Tom Khar shrimp soup, and it had 5 medio shrimps in the cup! I usually get 2 in other places... Then, we had a Pad Thai and a Green Curry to share. Portions were big, and the food was good! Again, a little more spicy would have been great! I almost forgot, try the THAI TEA! It was amazing. Plenty of parking spaces in the mall.
