19 Top Curries to Try in NYC - Eater NY

"Model-turned-chef Hong Thaimee — known for her modern takes on northern Thai cusine — turns out an excellent interpretation of khao soi noodle soup at her eponymous East Village shop. Here, the Chiang Mai, Thailand coconut curry comes with the traditional egg noodles but can be tailored to by protein: crispy meatballs, seasonal vegetables, or the chef’s flavor of the week." - Dan Q. Absolutely loved the food and the ambience. We started with the Chang Mai fries which was decent in quantity for two people. I had a spicy green curry and it was really spicy. My mates had the pad Thai and the squid ink noodles which they seemed to love. Just be warned that if you tell them to make it spicy they will make it very spicy.

First time going to Thaimee and it was wonderful. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was amazing, but the highlight of the night were the food. We tried mainly their fall dishes and it was so delicious. My favorite dish for the Fall season would be the Fall Harvest Pumpkin Curry. I usually don't like pumpkin or squash, but that dish madw a huge different it was so soft and the sauce that went along with it made a huge difference. I think that would be the only dish I would get! It was so delicious!!

I came here for dinner with a couple of friends. I ordered "The Dark Knight", their housemade black squid ink noodles with calamari. It was definitely the right amount of savory goodness for me. Their cocktails are also very creative and go along well with the spicy comfort food. I ordered the Heart Breaker, which tasted like sweet coconut curry with a kick to it.

The food here is amazing. I got the lovebird special, which was duck tacos and pad Thai. I seriously loved both dishes. The duck tacos had a sauce on them that was great, it tasted kind of like gravy. The service was decent, but it makes sense because it was packed. I sat at the bar, and I enjoyed watching the food being prepared fresh to order. They really pay close attention to detail when preparing each dish! Writing this review is really making me crave Thai food...

Thaimee has a paired down menu but their food is anything but. We loved the chicken wings to much we ordered a 2nd serving. We also ordered the Prik King for an appetizer with pork which was very delicious. I had the spicy pork belly with peppers and Thai basil and upgraded my rice to coconut rice. It was all around a fantastic meal

Fantastic, busy potent flavored thai food. Not your run off the mill thai, feels energetic, open kitchen where wonderful smells and energy is feeding the dining room.

Really tasty Thai food prepared in view. Industrial chic design also seems to fit the place. Place is energetic and fun. Would come back
