Family-run on Mass Ave, this roomy spot serves generous curries, stir-fries, and lunchtime deals. Indianapolis Monthly’s first look praised its polished vibe and broad, crowd-pleasing menu.

Ordered the orange chicken and basil fried rice. The orange chicken with sauce on the size and basil fried chicken medium was a great addition. Extra hot was hot and lived up to the name. Will make sure to order what I’m expecting next time Was a long wait with uber eats

I have been here maybe 3 times. I went last weekend on a whim with friends. It was absolutely delicious. I guess this is a delayed review, because I've liked it every time. Big ups to this place, we are lucky to have it on the Ave!

Google
Order through ubereats. They did not pay attention to the request for utensils. Thankfully my hotel had some to spare for me. They also forgot my side of white rice(I ordered fried rice as well). Not sure if they were in a rush or what but how is someone supposed eat your and enjoy your food without utensils? Clearly they're requested for a reason. The pad ew sew was good, fried rice was good but the spring rolls were really oily. Just missed the mark with me because of not following the order.

Google
Typical Thai place but lighter on the spice and high on the salty side for the Pad Kra Prow with mixed Seafood dish I ordered. I ordered medium spice level but probably was closer to mild at an authentic Thai restaurant. Portions were smaller than expected (think European portions).

Google
Delicious yellow curry and tom kha soup! The UberEats drivers in Indy are super rude - but once I got my food, it was totally worth it. My friend got the pad thai + shrimp spring rolls and also loved everything. Definitely worth checking out.

Delicious food great service and really clean

Google
this restaurant, food, and the service is PHENOMENAL. i believe the bad reviews and claims of bad service are a result of biased and ridiculous social media posts about the restaurant which were handled appropriately by the owner. i will always tip the servers here due to their kindness, helpfulness, and friendly attitude! don’t believe these recent bad reviews because they are bitter hateful people. i love and will always support this restaurant. 😊

Google
Ordered the red curry and it was really good. No protein needed. The spicy Thai sauce isn't that spicy but it adds a nice flavor.

Yelp
Popped in on a Saturday evening and had some fantastic Pad Thai and some Ship Fried Rice. The service was fast and friendly, and we enjoyed getting to see all of Mass Ave right out the window! We look forward to coming back.

Yelp
My wife and I were looking for a place to before we went to go see Wicked and came across Thaitanium. The decor gave off very chill vibes with great music. The service was quick and very attractive. Our appetizers and meals were absolutely delicious. The Pad Thai was very flavorful. Looks like we found our new Thai spot!

Yelp
Oh my goodness I cannot express how good my meal was here! Delicious and super fresh. Service was quick and very friendly. Ambiance is casual. I recommend coming here if you're craving Thai food. I ordered the ginger lover with chicken and it was delicious!

Rob C.

Yelp
It's really just alright, average Thai food in a great location. My fiance is not alone (read the other reviews) among folks who haven't felt good or had foodborne issues after eating here. The staff are always nice and friendly when we're there. I want this place to succeed and I would love a more consistent rotation of restaurants on Mass Ave, but Thaitanium simply feels like commodity Thai food to me. I'll keep going back once per year or so, just because sometimes you need some pad thai, and I hope one of these days it blows my mind and I can update this review!

Yelp
very very good food! I had the yellow curry and pad thai and both were wonderful! Also had crab rangoon's as appetizer and they had the perfect amount of sweet and crunch! fed the entire crew for a great price!

Yelp
One of the better Thai food restaurants around. Great service clean restaurant, great food and located on Massachusetts Ave. Try Thaitanium you will like it.

Yelp
Came in on a Friday night where our first option of dining was wayyy too busy. Luckily it's right in the middle of Mass Ave. We left pleased and forgot all about our original plan. I am a sucker for some good ole Pad Thai, so that's what I went with as well as a a glass of cab. I did enjoy the wine and it seemed familiar to me as well (I'm bad at remembering names LOL). Appetizers are not pictured, however all three, the spring rolls, fresh rolls and crab Rangoon, were delicious and fresh. I could see myself getting takeout from here again!

Yelp
I am visiting Indy for the Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon and spent most of the day, post race, wandering around and scoping out places to eat. The Bottleworks District was recommended to me by a few locals, so I decided to check it out. Ironically, I had ran past Thaitanium earlier in the day during the race and made a mental note to check them out. I was starving by the time I made my way there, so I decided to give it a try. I'll admit I was a bit leery as I've had some delicious Thai food in Las Vegas and other cities, and from what I've found in my foodie search, Indianapolis didn't seem to be a big city for Thai food. I was extremely surprised at how awesome this spot was! I was greeted and promptly seated, my waitress was very friendly and attentive the entire time. The inside is warm and welcoming, with a decent sized dining room and a full bar. I started with the Lychee Martini, which is my favorite drink, but I can only enjoy it at Thai restaurants with a liquor license. This was one of the best Lychee Martini's I've had, the right balance of sweetness and fruity. Yum!! While enjoying my martini, I debated between a few different entrees, but ultimately decided to try the Ginger Lovers with Chicken. My waitress described the hot level as about an 8 on a scale of 1-10, so I opted for that. I'm a spice lover and the hot level had a little kick, but you could still enjoy the flavor of the dish. Speaking of which, the ginger came through the complex sauce and perfectly balanced the spice. There was a healthy amount of chicken and veggies, I ended up taking half of it back to my hotel! If you are searching for delicious Thai food in Indy, this is your spot!!

Yelp
Last weekend I traveled from Seattle to Indianapolis to run the Monumental Marathon. I have a runner's appetite and Thai is one of my favorite ways to carbo load pre and post races. We tried three different Thai restaurants over the course of 3 days. Thaitanium was by far our favorite. The menu had lots of options. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. I drank about 12 glasses of water! I enjoy very spicey food and found the medium hot to be perfect, although on the spicier end of the spectrum than most Thai restaurants. My husband had noodles which we devoured. My friend had soup and spring rolls. I had a stir-fried dish that was really bright and fresh. If we every head back to Indy, this will be our destination for Thai.

Yelp
The service was amazing and the food was VERY good. We started with an appetizer and then got into the main meal. The thai dumplings were packed with flavor - we should have gotten two orders. I got the shrimp pad see ewe and it was sooooo good. The shrimp and veggies were cooked perfectly and the noddles were perfection. We then got the sweet sticky rice with mango. I won't lie the thought of mango and rice kinda freaked me out but honestly it tasted like a peach cobbler lol. Wild! Our server was spot on and def will be back again!

Yelp
Great food and great service! Thai cuisine is my favorite so I don't know why I did not know about Thaitanium until now! It's conveniently located on mass Ave and I didn't have a reason not to try them once I discovered this restaurant on Google map. I went there on a weekday night and the place was empty. It is more spacious than it looks from outside. Our server was nice, he was quick and efficient. I loved it when he brought us boxes and checks at the right timing without us asking. I ordered pad see ew and it was tasty. Considering it is located at the heart of downtown, their prices are reasonable!! Highly recommended.
google avatar

Lee S.

Yelp
Exceptional Thai cuisine at a reasonable price. I had carryout of chicken pad Thai medium heat. I could've had hot but you never know. You can always add heat - can't take it away. Quick & satisfying.

Yelp
I've been living in Indy for over 20+ years and just now discovering this amazing Thai restaurant. Customer service was amazing. The ambiance was great. The food was AMAZING!!! I ordered the Drunken Noodles with Chicken (Extra Hot). It arrived timely, hot (temp), and spicy. Very flavorful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Thai food and will be going back myself.
google avatar

Elaysha W.

Yelp
Everything here is authentic and delicious! Their appetizers are to die for!! The crab Rangoon and spring rolls . The pad see ew is fire and so is the Tom kha soup!!
google avatar

Eric M.

Yelp
They cut a hole in the corner of the to-go boxes with fried items like spring rolls and the like. Makes it stay crispy. Genius.
google avatar

Abigail C.

Yelp
This is my go-to Thai restaurant in downtown Indy. I love how they have vegetarian & vegan options, which makes it a good option for parties who have different dietary restrictions. They can also do substitutions for certain dishes, just ask! I got the Tom yum noodle soup with tofu, medium spice. The Tom yum seemed a little bland compared to previous times I've dined here, but I just added a lot of lime to add extra flavor. Portion sizes are generous and for curry dishes, they could easily serve 2+ people. Service is always fast, my appetizers were out within 10 minutes and entrees within 20 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
Thaitanium is the place you go when you don't want to wait to be seated and want your food to be made fast. It's the best. My go-to orders are the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai. Their portions are very large and the food is consistently good. Located right in the middle of Mass Ave, it's such a convenient place to go for a quick dinner with friends where you don't want to spend a ton of money.
google avatar

Jasmine H.

Yelp
I've went past here so many times and it is always busy. I was able to catch it on a peaceful Sunday. I did not like the calamari as it seemed to be store bought and just dropped in the fryer. On the other hand the pad Thai and crab fried rice was really good. I should have increase my heat level for the pad Thai but as my first time going I didn't want it to be too hot. They do not have an extensive cocktail list fyi.
google avatar

Bradley R.

Yelp
An awesome experience this evening. The food was quick and tasty. And the dining area is comfortable and was enjoyable as a family. Service was on point.
google avatar

Emm M.

Yelp
This is an amazing Thai restaurant. The mango curry is amazing. I got level three spice and it was AMAZING. Perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Also they had Thai import beer, so I tried one. Very good! Finally, the price is great. Curry, rice, and a beer for $21 before tip. That's is great for downtown Indy. And it tastes like MUCH MORE expensive food. The staff was friendly, it was clean inside, and the inside is very aesthetic. This is a mass Ave gem. DO NOT SLEEP. Come here.
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service was equally outstanding, and the overall ambience was just what we expected. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Service is always great here. The food is delicious and it's right on mass Ave which I love.
google avatar

Yelp
My go-to Thai place downtown. Their food is ready quickly when ordering to-go. Sometimes their service takes longer when dining in but I think that is because they don't want you to feel rushed.

J. L.

Yelp
Tried Thaitanium for the first time via Doordash and it did not disappoint. My Pad Thai was still hot after sitting in the hotel lobby for a few minutes and was delicious. My only complaint is that utensils and napkins were not provided.

Jason H.

Yelp
Pretty chill on a weeknight. I wouldn't say it was the best Thai food ever but it definitely was satisfying. Spice level was just right also. Friendly waitstaff.

Dianne J.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday night. There was a short line out the door but as a solo I was able to get a seat at the bar. Service was super friendly and efficient. Food was pretty good, not the best red curry I have had (not enough chicken, too many beans). But good size portions, I had enough for another meal!
google avatar

Jacinda J.

Yelp
Love this place! I will add however - I feel like if you get takeout or order via third party there is an up charge that I'm not sure is disclosed. The food here is good and decently priced - I usually always have leftovers which makes me happy!
google avatar

Yelp
Thaitanium is a fantastic Thai restaurant located on Mass ave in Indianapolis. You can't beat their lunch specials offering an entree, spring roll, and soup. They do offer options in mild, medium and spicy. Everyone in my part ordered medium and we found that it was much too spicy. I would suggest mild.
google avatar

Christopher W.

Yelp
Wow! Great food great food!!!! Had the springrolls , cashew nut shrimp and fried rice! It was delicious! And Sake suggestion paired very well!
google avatar

Isheka O.

Yelp
I had dinner with a friend here and the service was great. The waiters were attentive and very pleasant. This place has a casual relaxed vibes. The decor was not great but the playlist was great. I had the chef's special which was soft shell crabs in a red curry. It was very delicious and the flavors exploded in my mouth. My friend also enjoyed her drunken noodles. We ordered chicken tenders and fries for our appetizer and it was really good. The chicken was well seasoned, the fries were crisp and paired well with the sweet chili sauce. The serving portions are also big. However, the food was not hot and was basically cold by the time we finished our appetizer so this was kinda disappointing. I asked for mild as my spicy level but I think that I got medium or so. Overall, this place is definitely worth a try!

Scott C.

Yelp
Definitely in good value for the food, but the spice level over takes the flavor. I ordered a medium spice level, but the amount of spices overpowered the flavor of the food, which was hard to taste.
google avatar

Kristen J.

Yelp
This place was okay. Right off Mass Ave so great location. Food was ordinary but not the best that I've had or even close. The places ambience was okay. Did not pass the vibe check for a romantic fate. Service was acceptable. Won't go out of my way to return.

Peyton S.

Yelp
Thaitanium is one of our favorite quick bites in Indy! Their lunch special is great, and it's our favorite takeout when cooking just isn't in the cards. The pad Thai is excellent!
google avatar

Johnny W.

Yelp
I'd walk right past Bodhi to come eat here honestly. This is my kind of Thai street food. Great lunch combo set up and you get thin yum soup with every meal. I wish the fried spring rolls were a little more like Thai tastes but this place is good. I love the pad pak rham
google avatar

Abby M.

Yelp
We ordered takeout and delivery through another provider and had a great experience! We got pad Thai and crab Rangoon to split. The crab Rangoon was amazing and the filling was so so creamy. The pad Thai was also great! I wish it had been a little spicier, but that's on me for not getting a higher spice level. The portions are huge. We split and still had leftovers!
google avatar

Christie N.

Yelp
I LOVE Thaitanium. It has become my go to Thai place and it's conveniently located on Mass Ave. You can't go wrong on the menu but the Pad See Ew, Thai Fried Rice, and dumplings and my favorite. I highly recommend checking this place out for a quick lunch, takeout, or even for dinner. You'll be glad you came in!
google avatar

Nikia G.

Yelp
Went here on Mothers Day for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! We were met with the warmest greeting I've had in a very long time from the hostess! We ordered the Thai Rice, Drunken Noodles, and some Chicken Skewers. The rice and noodles were incredible! Amazing flavors and spices. WARNING- the medium is very spicy so please be careful! Lol We didn't notice our skewers never came out until the bill came. We were obviously distracted by our entrees! They decided pack them up for us to go AND remove it from our bill. Super sweet of them to do that. The skewers were very tender and moist! We loved the cucumber salsa it came with. My husband is already asking to go back!

Matthew S.

Yelp
The food was good. The service was good. We got the drunken noodles and green curry..
google avatar

Yelp
Great location in the center of Mass Ave and close to the other bars. It was easy to get a table, even on a Saturday evening. The staff is friendly and provided good recommendations. Service was also quick, we had an appetizer at the table within 15 min of sitting down. The pork dumplings were delicious. Also really enjoyed the green curry with chicken. They offer 6 different spice levels and I had medium (3) which was spot on. I did notice they could improve on the drink availability as I tried to order 3 different ones but they said they were out. Also the atmosphere was pretty silent, but that made it easy to talk to my friends I was with. Overall will go again!
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Very friendly service. Charming atmosphere in cool neighborhood. I loved the tofu salad!!
google avatar

Kathryn S.

Yelp
This was my third time here and I love it every time! The staff is always so excited to see people enter and the food is spectacular! This is for sure my favorite Thai place in Indy. We ordered an appetizer for the first time and it was served quick and fresh. Our food came out quick too, I would say less than 15 minutes. When we were there, they only had two servers for the whole place and they were killin it. Some things to think about, it is on Mass Ave so parking was tricky (we went on a Saturday night so we didn't find a close spot) and after we arrived it got extremely busy. But I would say it is worth the wait if you have time! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Megan F.

Yelp
A great location right off of Mass Ave, that I walk by all the time. When we walked in we were greeted and told to sit wherever we liked. The restaurant is spacious and tables are spread out. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. It was a larger portion, way more than enough for a single meal. Flavor was good, and it was really delicious. If you like Thai food, they have tons of options and a rather large menu.

N C.

Yelp
We wanted Thai food and we are so happy we went here. We ordered Thai Basil fried rice with tofu, Spicy Basil fish with crispy tilapia and drunken noodles)pad kee mao with tofu. They adjust the spice level to your liking and for us, the medium spice was just how we liked our dishes. We also had Thai iced coffee. Every thing was delicious and served so fast. Would definitely recommend going to.

Yelp
Wow Thaitanium was so incredibly good! My partner and I stopped by for dinner tonight during a quick trip to Indy. We love Thai cuisine and basically try Thai everywhere we go and this little place was so great! We sat at the bar and shared Spring rolls, Mussaman curry and Sweet and sour. To start, the service couldn't have been better. They were kind, helpful and so very nice! I ordered a beautiful bottle of Oregon Pinot noir to drink. I couldn't believe such a little place had such great wine. All do the food was so incredibly good. The Mussaman was a little sweeter than normal but I really liked it. Overall, I so recommend this cute little spot. The food, drink and service were all top notch!!
google avatar

Yelp
This was our first time ordering food from Thaitanium and it'll be our last. My husband brought the food in and it smelled like rotten trash! The "crab meat" looks like tuna and smelled so bad. I called the restaurant immediately and asked for a refund for the fried rice only. We also ordered pad Thai and spring rolls. A man got on the phone and said we had to bring the food back for a refund. I explained we live 30 minutes away and should not have to bring the food back. He said he wanted proof. I told him I'd send a picture but that wasn't good enough either. I informed him I would be writing a negative review and he said I should do what I need to do. Horrible customer service and nasty food. Do not recommend!

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time and after being quarantined for a few weeks figured now is as good of a time as any! We ordered takeout on a Saturday night and it was ready within 30 minutes. The restaurant is located on the north end of Mass Ave, across from the firefighter museum. We ordered crab rangoons for an appetizer and got the pad thai noodles and pad kee mao drunken noodles for our entrees. All three were designated as "favorite" items on the menu. When you order, they ask what level of spice you want (scale of 1-6). We went with a 4 for both entrees (more on this later). The crab rangoons were the best ones I have had in a LONG time. Highly recommend trying them as an appetizer. The entrees were very generous portions (in fact my pad thai lasted for 3 meals). I will note that it came with a TON of peanuts on it and I had to take most of them off. As far as the spice, it really didn't have much at all so I'm guessing they forgot. The drunken noodles on the other hand were very, very spicy. So spicy in fact that my friend had to pause while eating it to let her mouth cool. So I'm not sure what happened with the spice levels. Overall, the food was pretty good and just about as expected (except for the spice thing). Would love to try some other menu options and dine in the restaurant when the quarantine ends!

Yelp
Awesome! Fabulous! So so tasty!! I have recently become enamored with a new Thai dish, and so have been trying multiple restaurants around the city to rate my favorite of this dish... and so far this restaurant has the best option! After coming here multiple times the food is always delicious, served quickly and a decent price. I love the small cozy feel of the spot even though it's a little dark for my taste. There are plenty of seats and we have never had to wait even during a dinner rush. I found the service to be friendly and relaxed yet professional and prompt. My food had an amazing depth of flavor, Plus an extra portion of vegetables which always goes along way for me. Everyone in my group loved their food and no one had any leftovers which seems to be a sign of good tastes! There might be other Thai restaurants out there in Indy that are good but so far this is my absolute favorite!
google avatar

Sunny P.

Yelp
We came to this Thai place for some lunch on the weekend. We ordered some appetizers and a large Tom yum soup. It's definitely shareable! The taste wasn't quite like what I was expecting compared to other soups I've had in the past. The dumplings were very dry and hard so I wouldn't recommend them. The crab Rangoon were good though! We also got Thai iced coffee but it tasted like chocolate milk. I wouldn't come here again, but you can give it a try if you want.

Yelp
Great deal for a 10.99 lunch special. Includes mini spring roll, a little salad, soup, and a manageable sized portion of your choice entree (many options available). I got the Pad Thai at level 4 and that had a nice kick to it. Previously I've tried their Basil Thai Fried Rice and this is fantastic as well. The food came out very quickly and staff was courteous to keep our waters filled, which was a blessing as our food was so spicy! Ambience is relaxed even though it's on Mass Ave, nice to stop in during the lunch hours after class.
