Opening lunch and dinner menus include crispy shrimp wraps, kimchi dumplings, fiery salads, stir-fried Thai basil chicken with veggies, chef’s specials like duck in tamarind sauce, curries, rice and noodle dishes, and more. Google
Excellent food. We hit up this spot every visit to DC. Very accommodating. We asked for a side of their homemade kimchi, which isn't on the menu, and got a response of sure!

We had dinner here with local friends while on a family trip. The space was bright, inviting, and well decorated. The waitresses were very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious! Perfect portions and spice levels. We were a large group, but everything came out together and hot. I tried Pad Char with finger root, I had not tried that elsewhere, and it was great! We had reservations since we were a large group so no wait time.

Google
Really nice space and the seats are so comfortable! We were particularly impressed by the duck pancake roll, it was so ridiculously good… the ginger stir fry flavors were delicious but the tofu was a bit chewy. Green curry flavor was also amazing, though not as spicy as I would prefer!

Google
A wonderful birthday celebration with great food and service in a lovely setting. My friend and I shared Summer Rolls ($9), Eggplant with Tofu ($18) and Drunken Noodles ($18). After checking my ID, I was given a delicious slice of Key Lime Pie for the special occasion. There's no elevator, but the downstairs pub opens at 4:00 PM and you can have your food served there if you have a problem getting up the steps. Close to the Metro and a short walk to the Phillips Gallery.

Amazing food! Would definitely go again 🌸 1st time, walked over from Washington Hilton.

Google
Would highly not recommend. We went for $5 happy hour and the portions were extremely small. Fried wontons were supposed to have chicken filling but were essentially flat and empty. Spring rolls tasted like they were from Panda Express. On top of all that, we were charged $4 gratuity for a “large party” even though we were only 4 people who stayed for 10 minutes, ordered one item each, and the restaurant was otherwise empty. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants, take your money elsewhere.

Google
Hands down the best Thai food in town. I’ve loved the Middleburg Thaiverse forever and I’m so excited to finally have a DC location! The food is stellar (and reasonably priced), the fireplaces and bay windows are gorgeous, and the service is fantastic. Plus, The Who’s old pub is attached just downstairs!

Google
While Thaiverse may be new to DC, it's clearly not new to Thai food. Went for Easter dinner and everything was soooo good!!! Everything was well made and good portions. I ordered for the table and we left full with some leftovers. My only critique is I ordered the Thaigerita, Thai Spicy which is one level below scary and there was no heat (for a second I thought I was becoming immune or something but the food had a nice mix of heat so I know my spice bud isn't broken lol. Will definitely be back, thanks for dinner!!!

Yelp
Reading some of the reviews, I almost didn't want to go. I'm very glad I didn't go by those. We didn't have reservations, but there were about four empty tables. We were seated right away. The Spicy Thai Mule was great. When we ordered the appetizers, our server suggested we order our meals as well. As the shared kitchen with Step Childe Harold was also busy. The curry puffs and chicken satay appetizers were very tasty. The main dishes, which were spaced out well. I had the Green Curry with shrimp. Great flavor and a generous portion of shrimp. Two others had Panang Curry. One with beef and the other with pork. All spiced "medium". They all had a nice level of heat. For desert, we had two sticky toffee and one Chocholate Mousse cake. We were all satisfied and happily full. We had after dinner drinks downstairs. Thaigaritas. A spicy margarita. We'll definitely be back?

Yelp
We had lunch here last week. Ambiance is great - cozy in a converted row house. We started with the chicken and vegetables dumplings which were deep fried and nothing special. The vegetable egg rolls were good. I had the pad see ew with chicken. It was light and not overly sauced, which I prefer a lot of sauce. Flavors were good and it was well cooked. My friend loved the Panang curry.

Yelp
I don't live in the DC area so I'm always looking to try cuisines that I can't really get in my smaller city. I wanted Thai so this was close to us and we decided to try it. It was nicely decorated inside, looked a little too fancy, almost fine dining fancy.I was looking for some good tasty street food...lol, so we were very skeptical about the food as it was brought out to us. We ordered apps and they were just ok. When they brought out or main dishes they were very small portions (probably the size we should be eating to lower the American obesity rate) and the chicken looked like it had absolutely NO seasoning on it, BUT once we dug in the bowl it came alive!!! The food was good, probably not the best Thai food I've had but decent. The service was even more amazing! You can't beat great customer service.

Yelp
Summary: Overall cute spot, a but underwhelmed by the food but the service and decor are superb. I came here with a close friend and we got appetizers and an entree to share. We got the spring rolls and the duck pancake which my friend noted both didnt have a ton of flavor. I personally enjoyed them but agreed that they werent the most flavorful things ive ever had. We then shared the pad thai with shrimp which was also pretty good but again lacking a strong flavor profile. The shrimp was also a bit overcooked and rubbery :/ However the service was great they were super attentive and sweet and the food is not overpriced so I wasnt upset in any way. I just was not blown away by the food but I also wasnt disgusted by it and still enjoyed my meal. Also theres like a british pub attached to it in the basement ? interesting...

Yelp
Loved the minimalistic look of this place. Very big city feel. Service was a little weird as there was a communication issue !! We managed to fumble our way through! Ordered a lovely G&T and my cousin had a spicy Thai mule ! Delicious! The papaya salad was delicious and the Tom yum soup. So good! The crab Rangoon I'm not a fan of but my friends loved it! The drunken noodles are amazing we had it with chicken. As as the basil chicken. We asked for medium spice and definitely had a kick to it which I love. They have a great menu with lots of favorites and some new to me stuff. Drinks wise lots of wine and beer and a full bar. Great food just be prepared for a little back and forth on service become of communication issue!

Yelp
Food was average thankfully portion size was large and affordable prices. The space is beautiful one of my favorite restaurants to sit in but service was a little rude and pushy the entire night.

Yelp
This place was very mediocre. It is nice that it has lots of outdoor seating in the middle of busy dc. But it was awkward getting a table. There was no staff anywhere so I walked inside. But no one sits inside, you just sit down outside and order with a QR code that is on the table. A waiter then came by later and asked if I'd like a real menu instead of the QR code and I said yes but then 20 minutes pass and he never brings it....so I ended up having to use the QR code. The thai basil chicken was good but all of the other appetizers ordered were not very good. Oh and they ran out of Thai tea by 5pm....

Yelp
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a light dinner before deciding on a second round with some delicious Thai food- so we were a bit full upon arrival. Our order included the papaya salad, drunken noodles, Tom Kha soup, and dumplings. While the prices were reasonable, the dumplings seemed a bit pricy for just five pieces ($10) and were only okay in taste. I liked the service and how prompt everything was. Our dishes arrived promptly, and the service was impressively quick. Our cups of water was always refilled. The portion sizes were satisfying, and the flavors of all the dishes were truly delightful. The only minor critique was that some of the dishes were on the spicier side. My boyfriend, who is sensitive to spicy foods, noticed a slight kick (though I couldn't taste it myself). Interestingly, a neighboring table even inquired about the spiciness with us. I don't recall being asked about spice levels when we ordered, so I would recommend requesting mild or no spice for anyone who is sensitive to heat, just in case. Overall, this establishment is a great choice for a satisfying Thai meal.

Yelp
Still a solid positive experience. Three great choices for seating: elegant upstairs, pub downstairs, and patio/street seating outdoors. Still average service but on the positive side. This time I retried the Panang Chicken. I love that they'll add extra veggies: peppers and string beans. The sauce is creamy, more so than I'm used to. It is a mild sauce. Good veggies and good cut of chicken. Overall, very good flavors. I think I wrote earlier, if you are looking for outdoor options, this is my favorite neighborhood choice. Try them out and let me know what you think!

Yelp
A good Thai food spot in Dupont. The inside of the restaurant is cute and more spacious than I expected. I like that it is more intimate and not as eclectic as some other Thai options in the area. Their menu is limited, but I appreciate that every dish I've tried has been tasty and done well. I was happy with the Pad Thai with Chicken and various Kra Praws that I've tried here. I really liked the egg wrap that was on top of the pad Thai, and the meat in the entrees I've had were tender. Their Mango Sticky Rice is the cherry on top of a solid meal here. The one drawback I have about Thaiverse is the prices. I think the prices are little too high for the portions and what you get. 20 dollars pre-tax for a pad Thai is too much for me. And the Duck Pancake Roll was small and had small pieces of duck inside.

Yelp
We enjoyed our first trip to Thaiverse. We went around 6 in the evening and chose to sit in the "streetery" set up in front of the restaurant for all the restaurants on that stretch of road. Great ambiance, eating on a beautiful evening with a festive atmosphere. Service was attentive and good. The entrees were excellent. We had drunken noodles and massaman curry beef. We also liked the fried oysters (which came from the Childe Harold menu: I guess the two restaurants share management). Two small points off: I suspect that my happy-hour frozen margarita, which I drank on a mostly empty stomach but which produced zero buzz, had little alcohol in it. Also, the "sweet and sour calamari" consisted of calamari breaded and fried to within an inch of its life, accompanied by a tiny container of sweet and sour sauce. Honestly, it was so flavorless it was hard to believe it came from the same restaurant, and hard to tell it was calamari. We won't order the margarita or the calamari, but we will go back.

Yelp
FOODIES! Chef Ghop creates each individual plate here with full attention. The distinct flavors of the handmade massaman curry and the pad kee mow (drunken noodle) dishes let you know you're stepping into Thailand, even if just for a moment! The larb and summer mango roll were exceptional; we also enjoyed the handmade crab rangoons and kimchee dumplings. Don't let the slightly confusing name and belle epoche dining space confuse you...this is a fantastic gem of a place with authentic foodie cuisine.

Yelp
Excellent!!! Food: the food was really wonderful, the best Thai food we've had in the DMV area in a long time. The beers were excellent. The Muay Thai beer has a Thai iced tea flavor which was refreshing. The spicy kimchi dumplings were not as spicy as we were expecting but still tasty. The drunken noodles were cooked perfectly and they didn't skimp on tofu!! We loved that the tofu was fried in the Panang curry and was really flavorful. We had the cheesecake for dessert, though I was this was colder as it came out room temperature. Service was quick and the staff very friendly! The ambiance was quaint and homey but loved the big open windows. Overall great experience!

Yelp
Thaiverse offers excellent Thai food in the heart of the Dupont Circle neighborhood. Each dish we ordered was of high quality and service at this spot was impeccable. Our waters were never empty and we left with full, happy stomachs. Starting our meal with the tofu summer rolls and the chicken satay was a good move; the summer rolls were fresher and served with a tasty sauce while the chicken satay was tender and the portion was adequate. The chicken was, interestingly, buttered, which surprised me but didn't take away from the dish; it didn't really add anything other than an added layer of softness to an already soft bite. The entrees took some time to get to us but they were fresh, hot, and fragrant when they arrived. The panang curry was very good; there were plenty of vegetables and tofu and the portion was a good size as well. The kra praw fried rice is essentially a basil fried rice and was excellent as well. The prices were reasonable; the appetizers were around $10 each and the entrees were a little over $15. Other than the slightly higher than average prices, this was a solid experience and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Very much a hidden gem in Dupont. Was very surprised by the quality of the curry. My party and I just randomly stopped by here after having no luck at another lunch spot and we had no regrets.

Yelp
Decided to try this place out had some time to kill. Ordered the Crab Ragoon it was literally just a teaspoon of cream cheese and no crab. I later ordered the pork strips it honestly tasted like it was old meat. For a main dish i ordered the teriyaki chicken cant go wrong with that. It was ok I later asked for the bill it can up to $49.50. When another waiter came over and had me pay but before putting my card in I noticed she put in $80.95 so I kindly erased it and put the correct amount. And pit $0 for the tip I normally tip cash if I have it, while waiting for my copy grabbing cash out my bag the waiter slammed my receipt on the table and says "why are you not tipping you need to tip your waiter" so I replied "I am in cash is it a requirement to tip are you the manager?" She walked away Im really good with tipping if the food/service wasn't good but to demand a tip and try to up charge me on my card is unacceptable. They won't have to worry about my service again I felt completely uncomfortable after the waiter said that with all the customers looking at me. Will never recommend and will be putting this on social media.

Yelp
Great spot for Thai food in DC. Everything was perfect from food to service. Definitely will come back if I am in town.
google avatar

Irina R.

Yelp
My mom and I went here for dinner and it was really good! The food was great and the staff was friendly. The chicken teriyaki dish was interesting and I wish the chicken was grilled instead of breaded but good dish overall. We definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to go back and try some different dishes

Yelp
Wow! All of our food was fresh and beautiful. The Tom Kha soup is now an all-time favorite of mine. It's also lovely and open inside and the staff were very sweet and attentive. Highly recommend to those looking for an authentic Thai bite at a friendly price.

Yelp
Excellent service, they had a really nice outdoor seating area where you can eat and drink. They also had a nice bar on the inside with a great dart board setup which we loved.

Anna R.

Yelp
This place is just okay - with the amount of great thai food in DC, though, I won't be back. My pad see ew was just fine, with a good portion size and good amount of vegetables. But my partner's pad thai was very bland, and really only tasted like peanuts, which we found odd. We were also there on a Sunday night that was not busy, but the service was oddly slow. Very cute space though, but the food and service were just fine.

Thanh C.

Yelp
I really like this place, the area, and the outdoor seating. But tonight was not great. I ordered a glass of wine and an entree, and it took 50 minutes for the wine to come, and after the main entree arrived. I had to remind them. The server never come back, I ordered extra condiment that never came. I would have ordered more food and drinks, but it took so long that I don't trust I would ever get it if I ask. Often time when I decide to come here versus next door zorba is because of the full service Thaiverse offer that Zorba doesn't. Food is ok, but I love the atmosphere and that was what brought us back. The last few times I have been here service were slow also and not great but we didn't care. ., server brought the wrong drinks and order etc... Tonight, I kept on waiting and finally had to go inside to ask for the check. Tonight I wish it was better. I am disappointed. . Next time I am not sure if I would come back.

Yelp
We met up with a friend in Dupont for dinner. The restaurant we were hoping to eat at was full, so we walked around to find somewhere else. We stumbled on Thaiverse DC but were skeptical because it was new, only had two reviews, and have been disappointed in the quality of the food at a lot of other Thai places before. We were surprised and super happy with everything at Thaiverse. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was very nice - it is inside an old, large, renovated Dupont townhouse - and the food was excellent. Truly. It was different, great ingredients, super tasty. We were so happy to have stumbled on a new, great place. I'm sure more and more folks will give it a try and come to the same conclusion as us. We really enjoyed it and would recommend!

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood! Thaiverse is a wonderful addition offering authentic Thai food and strong cocktails. The staff is very attentive as well. K Piya the owner came out for a chat and it was lovely getting to know her. We had the pad thai, green curry, Som tam and finished with mango and sticky rice.

Tina A.

Yelp
Good was delicious and service was good! Big menu to choose from and they accommodate food aversions and allergies.

Yelp
Best Thai food I've had in DC so far! Staff was very kind and attentive. The interior of the restaurant was also very cute and well decorated! Highly recommend for in person dining or take out.

Hugh R.

Yelp
Was interested to try this new Thai place last night. Was pretty disappointed with my takeout. Vegetables in my Pad See Yew were over cooked, the take out box was swimming in oil and the taste was bland. Made it halfway through and threw the rest out.

Yelp
I love the new Thai food in Dupont Circle. Delicious menu options Amazing service, excellent prices, and a beautiful atmosphere.

Michael E.

Yelp
Quietly nestled in Dupont, this unassuming gem was delicious. You're greeted with the option of the upstairs Thai restaurant or the downstairs sister English pub. The staff was attentive and proud of their menu. The food was delicious. We got a couple starters along with our main dishes. Portion sizes were perfectly large and nothing was skimped on. So glad we popped into this place. Highly recommend. Added bonus that the English pub menu is also available should your group want to best of both worlds!

Thomas K.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service was unfriendly. Great evening to sit outside. The service was so bad, I probably won't go back.

Susan L.

Yelp
(I went during weekday lunch, sat inside the main room with the fireplace and large, street-facing windows). Cocktail was perfectly executed. Quality and execution of the food was good. (I got: the Kaffir lime martini, the crispy spring rolls, wonton soup, vegetable green curry and chicken pad kee mao noodles -- aka drunken noodles) Hospitality and service of the staff was good / good vibes. Really nice interior design / ambience, right down to the wall tiles in the restroom. A miscellaneous detail that stood out to me the most: Coming from someone who dines out on the regular, I can accurately report that they had, hands down, THE cleanest plateware + cutlery out of any establishment I've eaten at in recent memory. Sparkling, Cascade-clean plateware. Thaiverse Dupont, is a solid two thumbs up / great new edition to the neighborhood!

Sharon C.

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely lunch today at the newly opened Thaiverse in Dupont. I highly recommend trying the Duck Pancake Roll appetizer. It's melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The front of house staff was attentive and friendly. I'm looking forward to coming back in the evening in the near future to try their cocktails. The interior design is fresh and modern in a beautiful Dupont building with a vibrant history.

Katherine D.

Yelp
We were delighted by the food, service and ambiance. We eat Thai food pretty regularly, and this stands out as a must try in D.C. with fresh, high quality takes on all the favorites. Highly recommend it!

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Picked up takeout. They forgot one item and the pad thai was terrible. The rest of the food was ok. Called for a partial refund and no one got back to me.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food in a pleasant townhouse setting just off DuPpnt Circle. The fresh spring rolls were delicious, as was the maasaman curry. Rice is included with many dishes. They have a full bar, but are still perfecting their cocktails. Best to stick with beer and wine for now. Attentive service, too!!

James B.

Yelp
Happy to find this very new Thai restaurant near Dupont Circle and can't wait to dine here again. The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent.
