New YouTube Cooking Show KanDeepa Texan Is About South Indian-Texan Food | Eater Austin

"A pop-up supper-club project focused on plated or shared thali-style meals, representing one of the chef’s ephemeral concepts that blended regional South Indian formats with local Texan ingredients." - Erin Russell

The owner is very enthusiastic and proud of his restaurant. I love to see that because I feel like he cares about what is brought out of the kitchen. It has a nice atmosphere but has so much potential. You would not expect to eat this caliber of Indian cuisine Crestwood.

I recently dined at Thali and it was a culinary journey .This unassuming gem serves up authentic Kerala cuisine that is both flavorful and satisfying. I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who were happy to guide me through the menu. Now, onto the food -the Biriyani was fragrant and fluffy, with perfectly cooked basmati rice and tender pieces of meat. The Fish Mango Curry was a revelation – the combination of flaky fish, tangy mango, and aromatic spices was pure magic. But the stars of the show were the Masala Fries and Butter Chicken. The crispy, spiced fries were addictive, and the Butter Chicken was so rich and creamy. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or new to Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. Don't miss out on the opportunity to taste the flavors of Kerala in the south suburbs! I can't wait to try more of their dishes and experience the warm hospitality once again.

This hidden gem is definitely worth finding. And so easy for anyone from the south side and southern suburbs to find. Get on Cicero and you are there. The owners are young and enthusiastic chefs who want to treat you to their style of Indian Cuisine, and they do not disappoint. We met friends for late lunch, a good time to be able to sit and relax and enjoy. The food is hot, fresh, flavorful and if you order the side breads your experience will be even better.

Finally, a respectable, unique Indian restaurant for Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park, Alsip and more! For the longest time, we have mourned the complete lack of good Indian restaurants nearby. The closest decent one (in darkest Tinley) is still not offering dine-in. We read about Thali on some local Facebook group, and we had to try it out. Fortunately, one family member's mid-week birthday provided a handy excuse to try Thali out. What a revelation! The owners are going out of their way to bring unique family recipes that are truly exceptional to their new venture. Gerald is responsible for developing the location, and Tobin makes the excellent masalas that make this restaurant unique. To be fair, the menu is not overloaded with dishes from every corner of the subcontinent; that's what allows them to focus on the truly special recipes they love. Without going too much into detail (try it out for yourself!), I can confirm that portions aren't huge (but we left absolutely STUFFED and with leftovers in tow), the flavors are bright and delicious, and you have to try everything you can! Pricing is exceedingly reasonable for homemade, service was attentive and competent, and the atmosphere outshines the strip mall it is based in. We have a new alternative to sushi or beef. And it's terrific. Thank you, Gerald and Tobin!

Sorry guys, you need to improve in the taste. Gravy was so watery. I would say panner cubes are dipped in red water. I would have had small portion with taste then this container of red water with paneer( no salt, no hot). I usually don’t write reviews but this is not Indian standard food guys please improve.

I had the pleasure of dining at Thali Indian Cuisine yesterday. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxing. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes. I ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Masala Fries, and Mango Lassi. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors! The food tastes just like home, and the staff is friendly. Definitely worth trying if you love Indian food!

We went for lunch and one of the best fresh Indian food we had in the recent times. I myself is a good cook, experiencing the flavor and the aroma was an amazing experience to connect and enjoy. Tandoori Lamb and shrimp with the right texture and taste was the best. Would love to go again sooner, and recommend to try the restaurant.
